You know what i don't find funny are people like you online who think they know it all about everyone. If you knew my artistic background you wouldn't make that "callous" statement about me not knowing anything about art which is quite ironic. It isn't a contest so i don't get what your big problem is. I don't really have to see things your way,okay and it was the OP who asked the question not you.

I didn't even take it serious that it was his work because of his level of detail in his finished works. If people want to pay for his doodle their cup of tea but i wouldn't. If not that the buyers are usually kept private i doubt it will be Nigerians bidding for it.

I am fully aware who Yusuf Grillo is and his contributions to Nigerian art. Yabatech dept of art doesn't pay homage to him for nothing. Thanks for the unnecessary lecture.

My good Lord,this is a sacrilege and a travesty to the genre of art. This shows how lazy the artist has gotten to draw something. Even digital artists are more serious online and can't try rubbish like this. Pay 3million for a rough sketch like that heck no even if i got that kind of cash. Scratch that make that never.

@Venom104 gave some tips for you to follow. Check out other sellers in the niche and come up with a better gig write-up than you have.

Another thing are you sure of uninterrupted power supply for this kind of gig?One of my main concerns for you. I advice you separate AutoCAD and 3D ArchViz into different gigs.

Another thing is you have no business with having a type setting gig when not a writer fully. Stick to related niches per account.

Your 3ds for the building and logo shows you know how to model but rendering isn't really your strong point. 3dsmax,Maya,Cinema4D and Blender using renderers such as Mental Ray,VRay,Maxwell Render and Arnold to name a few will give better output than how your work is looking.

Get on YouTube to download video tutorials from Nigerian tech startups,Hassan Cortex of Chronos Studeos and Owolabi Akano of Ways Studios on visualization to brush up asap. I will post some examples of what attracts clients. Hope it helps.

I think you start a GIG for AutoCad Drafting

I believe your price for the 3D GIG is too high for the Samples on display, see samples of competitors and their prices.

Your Search Tags, Use them wisely.. For example "Designing", I think you should change it to DESIGN 2D or something, Potential clients will search with keywords like "DESIGN FLOOR PLAN in 2D" so if you have 'DESIGN' 'FLOOR PLAN' '2D' in your tags, you have a stronger chance of showing up.

Cartoon is enjoyed by all and can serve many purposes such as entertainment, education and information and its usage spand beyound media houses. Research shows that animated ads gets more attention than normal videos, think about that!

The History of animation is as old as art it self and with diffent types, however, the Category of animation include 2d and 3d. 2d is flat design while 3d is define with space and volume however the production process remains the same but differs slightly from production house to another.

In Nigeria, normal video is known for especially the name Nollywood becoming a household name but the industry is noted for just live action.

Does it mean that animation is dead in Nigeria? NO! But this seems so because of the requirement it takes to produce a full feature animated film budget wise and time wise even resources too hence many independent Nigerian animators opt to produce short film, comedy skirt which normally do not exceed 5minutes.

It is obvious that many even jump the foundation of animation and moves to 3d without knowing what 2d is, comparable to counting in multiples without perfecting on counting in singles, mostly this is due to lack of education as observe in outside world, animation is a 4yr course!

Fortunate enough, NaijaCartoon will be sharing skills with fellow Nairalanders on how to create 2d cartoons and make a living from it, however, to know if this venture is worthwhile, we will proceed with 50 likes, yes! I disagree with a number of your points and not as hopeless as you have made it seem. Those who went to polytechnics and universities of technology are more practical oriented than most Nigerian graduates and get jobs frequently because of their technical knowhow.

Yes,the education system is largely #sinking nowadays from what it is used to be. But i ask do all people have the funds or resources to go overseas?!! The answer is a Big NO as no other choice. It's always so easy to call out the problems we have here but no tangible solution even from you the OP.

Even with that,Nigerians are naturally creative and indigenous using the internet to make up for the shortfall in their educational system. That's they excel abroad and are the most educated black immigrants from the US to UK and Canada to name a few.

It's the brain drain from here and Africa that funds these universities abroad. I was pissed to open my P.O Box to find a flyer of Cranfield University UK,rumpled it and threw it away. I'm sure they paid NIPOST for that advertisement. They only want our money and want our brilliance they can suck off us to advance their countries and we always fall for it thinking they are doing us a favour.

No lecturer or school can teach you everything but it's left to the student to go beyond his coursenotes and seek more knowledge. No one can learn anything being spoonfed and not self-developing.

I read the story of young black kid from some South African country about to be deported for some issue and got scholarship into Oxford or Cambridge UK doing well. It's their country,they never did like us based on our skin colour and wouldn't think twice about kicking anyone out when they feel the itch.

It may not have been the best but my Nigerian education gave me a chance to work with a creative agency from the UK that setup shop here with other places i got a chance to work. As the popular quote goes "If life gives you lemons make a lemonade out of it"

It is in Photoshop. The tools mainly used in Digital Painting or Colouring is the brush or paint bucket tool for filling colours,marquee/magic wand tool for selecting areas to colour,gradient/dodge/burn tool for lighting,shadows and reflections.

Being able to combine all these tools let's your drawing look dynamic and 3d. Flat colouring is still a style nothing to feel ashamed about.
