Switching from traditional pencilling and inking to digital using a wacom tab isn't a walk in the park but I gotta keep pushing to get better. Quick practice sketches: *#Indomitable Lily - Cartoonized picture of a friend done in Photoshop CS5 *Fury of Wolverine - Rapid Concept sketch done using SketchBook Pro 6.2.3 Hope to get better

Don't be scared or afraid*lol*hehehe*I'm still watching video tutorials & reading up stuff so don't think am there yet,I keep pushing. Like Proko Tutorials www.proko.com on facebook & on youtube.com,you'll go through the basics of art. Polarbite: |
Noted, bro,I will for next time,I draw him as a full body character not portrait like this. Thanks for the comment. rotlan: |
Good attempt, bro, with time you will get the hang of the wacom tab with practice like I am trying to do as well. Here are some hand illustration in pencil, ink & coloured pens then these digital versions done in Photoshop and SketchBook Pro drawn with a wacom tab*winks winks* rotlan:

Ok now I get it,you meant the basics. Now about the blog, great work & content. I normally give credit to the blog for similar contents I post with my spin on it. Just please work on the typo errors in the article headings and content. I complained directly to Ayo via bbm, whatsapp & his direct mobile line. You are representing us to the world so be on brand & on point. best regards... rotlan: |
Hey,great, you got my name correctly(next time you could modify your former post easily)*lol*rotflr*. Yeah, thanks, bro, just supporting our African industry via my blog. Hopefully launching the web/video tutorials section covering topics from comic making to other topics highlighted on my blog from December 2015 into 2016. Hopefully my artist friends won't use "Am Busy Ooo" alot*hehehe*lol rotlan: |
@ROTLAN: Common,bro,2days to be comic artist that's way too fast...When @POLARBITE's level of drawing skills hasn't been ascertained yet. Does he even know the basics of anatomy, gesture & drawing dynamic action poses etc using pencils or inks 1st before we even talk of knowing Photoshop or SketchBook Pro to colour up?!!Safer to say a week & then another week of practice/feedback. Let him even post his pencil or ink works here to get a feel of his art...Am waiting to see your stuff*grinning*musing to myself* rotlan: |
@POLARBITE: Don't feel so sour you didn't make the cut for the course I studied into my alma mata that you get online & calling it a #thief. Life doesn't always go the way you expect so suck it up. When online better you watch your words carefully. For more info on the comic industry in Nigeria,Africa & the world at large. Like ComicPanel on facebook & read their blog daily like I do www.comicpanel.org. We call it the "Linda Ikeji of the Comic Industry" Polarbite: |

Your explanation on the issue isn't enough for me to really understand. Take a screenshot of the pc screen while trying to install Photoshop using the Snipping Tool. Then upload the pic for me to understand the error better. Photoshop is simple & straight forward to install so your case is somewhat rare. paulsir: |
I did as practice on a friend's pic. Hope 2get beta real soon.

![]() Dude, your question is vague & not even clear...You want to change someone's face to what?!!It could be a million things... dungas30: |
New post on the blog y'all!!! http://the-dm3drev-studeos..in/2015/11/jongo-trailer-african-superhero-tv.html

No problemo, just downloaded the CS6 Design & Web Premium Suite from Adobe. Gotta make time to install it asap & check out that liquify tool issue, best regards... jaidor: |
Dude, this thread is for Photoshop issues not pencil & ink works. I have no issues with you posting your blog links for more traffic but please let it be on topics or issues related to the title of the thread. Okay...thanks ayanfe96: |
Ok,brov. I've feeling it'sn't compatible with CS6 or too powerful for your pc's VGA probably why it's greyed out. Am about to return to Photoshop CS6 this week & I'll see how it does on my end & give you feed ASAP,best regards jaidor: |
Hi @JAIDOR: That is really a peculiar problem. If you can increase your RAM to the highest capacity it can take please do and your storage space on your hard disk as well. Your VGA is just fine so it's puzzling me why Photoshop is asking for the GPU to be enabled when it's meant to be automatic. Now it brings me to the most pertinent question...What version is it 7,CS-CS6 or CC?!! Expecting your response ASAP,best regards... jaidor: |
@INALEGWU99 I get that your question comes from a place of curiosity. Just take note of your typo errors they were much for real. Let me put like this using Photoshop for graphic design alone is not professional because Adobe didn't make it for that. It's mainly for Digital Art,Photo-manipulation,Photo Enhancement and allows import of vector art. It has limited vector creation capability compared to Illustrator because it's a raster application not vector vice-versa. Try creating a logo in PSD and then in AI then stretch & deform them. Regardless of the size big or small the logo from AI doesn't lose it's properties compared to that done in PSD. The logical design workflow when using CDR & PSD;is to design, add text and plan the layout of document regardless of what it is then place bitmap/jpg images enhanced from PSD. CorelDraw is very popular in Nigeria amongst newbies, pros and printers but in the big media/advertising firms or creative agencies you need to be proficient in Adobe Photoshop,Illustrator and InDesign especially in Lagos. I've checked lots of schools abroad online and noticed most teach these 3apps only for Graphic Design and are Adobe Certified Training Centres. So we all need to be onboard with these apps. @FELIXCHIP,bro,he was just expressing himself. So both of you didn't need insult yourselves or rain curses on each other(totally uncalled for). You had your point no doubt but please y'all need to chill and relax. |
The solution to your case export your finished design in any of the following formats-.pdf,.ai or .eps this ensures your design, lettering and pictures maintain their quality intact. Get to CorelDraw and import, make the layout of the file the size of the flyer with margins for bleeding etc. Then save in .cdr format & you are good to go to press hope that helps Word of advice next time for printing jobs Adobe InDesign is better and more professional for flyers believe me. It's annoying that most printing use CorelDraw only not Photoshop,Illustrator and InDesign because pdf is better format to print it. hardheife: |

Cartoonized a friend's picture for the fun of it...my very 1st attempt. Hope y'all like it... Tools: Hand drawn using a wacom digital tab and coloured using various brushes with blending modes in Photoshop CS5

Visit www.adobe.com and go to the downloads section. Read the system requirements of the version you want to install carefully so as not to overburden your pc. prettytasha: |
It may have to do with the version you installed not being really compatible with the software. Your pc config details are still in complete as you didn't state whether it's a Pentium(R),Dual Core,iCore3,iCore5 or iCore7 CPU pc. Is it giving an error message or something?!!From there you can get a better idea of its issues. NarnieSnyper: |
Dude, your question isn't clear with your typo errors so no one gets it. Modify it and make your request clearer... YoungWiseCash: ![]() |
