@ YOK, just put what you have for free here as your new year bonus for new NSEMPA members.
It could bring up further discussions and if any issues are observed, or if someone has 'insider' info, he can point it out, it will also improve the knowledge base of this forum. sometimes there are issues behind the figures and graphs we analyse which are known to some members here. When you are bullish based on charts, such members are laughing at you because they know where their uncles are milking the cow... grin On the day of reckoning, you understand that the milk is not so plenty and the cow too was never taken to The Incredible Dr. Pol during the year... grin

BAMOFIN said he had been buying stocks when FBN was 50. So he isn't new. He ought to know that Dividends are declared by company and that tax of 5% (VAT) is not subjected to it. Rather it is WHT of 10%.

He should have read some things and posted it as comic relief.
Did he tell you he was using his hard earned money for the purchases?
Hope you read the story of the man who wanted to hand over his wealth to his son only on the condition that the son can work, earn and bring to him $10,000 dollars (not sure of the exact sum now).

The mother provided the sum on two occasions, and on each occasion, the father, who used to sit next to a furnace, tossed the cash into the furnace without the young man reacting.

On the third ocassion, the son insisted to work and earn the cash himself through stressful manual jobs, since he could not comprehend how the father was aware he did not work for the cash.

When he now brought the cash, which he worked so hard for and the father again tossed it into the fire, the guy rushed and dipped his hand inside the fire and removed the cash without caring about his hand.
The father nodded and blessed him with his heritage..... grin

In case the reader doesn't know, we all pay 5% VAT on transactions we make on NSE. And that 5% isn't on the total proceed. Rather it is on the brokerage fee.

So the 5% should be on N156. This is equal to N7. 8

The reader used 5% on dividend and arrived at N200 charge. He used 5% on the total proceed again.
There is never 5% VAT charge on dividend. There is only 10% Withholding tax on dividend which had been there for long.

The calculation the reader or whosoever made and arrived at negative of N246.5 shows that the reader lacks understanding of basic maths.

All safely cruising above the Kumo.

If December goes like November, then it means that the weekly chart will scale the kumo. Where it doesn't, it means that prices will fall to a support level.

Never to accumulate a stock before result.(uncertainty)

They will eventually allow you punish this stock until you yourself start pitying the stock, then it start 5%-10% movements, when you enter, they dump and allow it go down past the initial humiliation point. keep it there and oscillate it within 3% allowance up and down until you get so frustrated and dump again, then the fast and furious journey take no passengers and aiming to overtake Fidelity..... grin grin
