MssRose: please house, I invested for the first time yesterday. bought zenith at #24. just trying my best to learn the trade after following this thread for sometime. I will appreciate any recommendations on any information source like books that will make me successful in the trade. I have fears for this trade but I believe I've conquered my fears by taking a first step yesterday but I want to minimize loss to the bearest minimum. Toluway: While i haven't seen significant drop in stock prices since Monday this week, I've been seing some stocks consistently gaining 9%, 8%, 7%, 5% etc in capital appreciation. I begin to think that prices are no longer likely to fall, and enjoin the visionaries in this forum to start coming up with stocks pick. Thanks. You are seeing what you are looking for... 90% of the shareholders are retirees and they bought way back at N5.00.
I bought mine in 1999 for between N19 and N20 although I have sold more than 90% of my holdings to buy other stocks.
It is a defensive stock that won't disappoint you Summary: If you are a Marlian, don't buy......
