I honestly don't understand all these media furore. Were the NBA not clear when they said to go to court? Why are the supposed government arms (military and in this case, legislative) averse to using the legal means to recover the gift? |

pquaver:You and your principal have lost the moral right to say pim. You stole power, now face it and stop looking for market place gossip. Get serious for once in your existence.

bixton:Oh, I'm always in favour of less words, more action. One would expect that Rivers State Government should have already done so. N300m is a lot of money to lose in a bid and look the other way; if it is a bid. |
authority2006:Can you confirm who exactly signed off the money because it seems you have inside information that is not made public yet. |

Back in 2023, Quadri, a young guy from Lagos, got caught up in the spotlight for supporting Peter Obi at a campaign rally. A video of him went viral, and people started sending him money and promising aids. But that fame came with a dark side. Some local “area boys” got jealous, thinking they deserved a cut of his cash. Fast forward to January 2025, and things took a nasty turn. These guys allegedly kidnapped Quadri, handed him over to the police, and next thing you know, he’s slapped with armed robbery charges—accused of stealing phones and money with cutlasses alongside people he didn’t even know. The kicker? He was a minor at the time, but they locked him up in Kirikiri Correctional Centre with adults. Many, including his lawyers, are convinced the charges were cooked up to punish him for not “settling” those thugs.https://x.com/InibeheEffiong/status/1912550308087054364

If it is a bid, then it ought to be returned since the rights has now been transferred to another state. For it to be a bid, there must be some benefits that come with NBA having their annual meet in a state. Once Rivers State government can provide documented proof that it was a bid, the NBA must be compelled to do the needful. If it was a donation, then the NBA should stand their ground and focus on preparations. It becomes a matter of conscience and as lawyers, I expect that they can sift logic from emotions in this matter. A gift is a gift. The person who owes the explanation is the donor, not the recipient. If they can provide proof that they have had such charity before, it's a buried matter. As for Wike's assumption, there is a reason prisoners are kept in prison. It is not only because of what they have done but also, what they have the potential to do. Wike and the Judiciary? I laugh in hieroglyphics 😂😂. Any donation from him to them is a Pandora Box. |
Omo.. I never knew bots shed tears.. Obi you do this one too o ![]() |
Comedy. If you really want to know the party that will win each local government, just observe the Presidential elections and their voting pattern to get a hint. Any other thing is a result of MC Olumo Vs Mama Chukwudi politics we witnessed in the guber 2023 selection.

pquaver:First time? 😂😂 Is this guy living under a rock or what? |
Barrywilly:But it is not clear that the leaders of the other two arms of government are Pro-Tinubu, the actual person they should be checking his excesses? Fathers are passing through a lot, to be honest. |
How has he been getting out? Moreover, I thought Asians have strict laws about this thing? He should be kept in a dark place where the light does not get to. He's a very bad influence. |
ObiPandora:Finally!! Thanks a lot. Please share it. |
Great Information! |
CC: Goodnewsforlife Did you see the video above? Now, get me one like that for Willie Obiano to directly contradict this assertion I made below. Not any made by proxies or sycophants, which gives Willie Obiano deniability. I mean one that Willie Obiano himself said he did not get what he got. No records exist where Obiano made any reference to the state of finances he met Anambra State in, just as there are many records (video and written) where Peter Obi made references to the state of finances he left Anambra State in. There are also many positive comments and video records by external parties over Peter Obi's governance (including NGOs, fellow Governors at that time/shortly after that time). If you fell for financial analysis clickbaits by sycophants, government proxies, and news media, that's your problem. None of them came directly from Obiano himself. He has deniability over the rubbish you are sharing because he never said those. You have opportunity to heal from it now though.

Goodnewsforlife:Grok helped me understand how you feel. I sincerely apologize for that experience. Grok also seems to think I should also cut you some slack as your response is not about me but about your struggle to maintain a worldview under pressure. PBUY🙏
|
Goodnewsforlife:Thanks a lot. Unfortunately, you just fell for another Clickbait headline, despite my earlier warnings.
|
Max24:You are not the only one that has this opinion either. The only reason I'm seeing yours is because I engaged you. The only reason you knew I saw it is because I responded to you. See? It's only interested people that see these things and go as far as acknowledging it. Those who it is meant for, and those who just want to know. Which category do you fall into and why? That's the big question. |
Goodnewsforlife:Looks a waste of time for what you already have. On the Youtube app, there is an arrow leaning to the right (like a forward arrow). Click on it, you will see a Share option. That would give you the option to copy link, which you can just paste here. That way, we can be sure we are looking at the same video. Thanks in advance once again. I appreciate your continued cooperation in this matter. 🙏🏾 PS: I think you mean coffers (wealth deposit), not confers (to give/bestow). |
Goodnewsforlife:Grok says your link is incorrect. Please check and reshare the one you want me to see. Thanks! 🙏🏾 |
2mch:Grok seem to think your response is irritation fuelled by Frustration and Anger since it's opinion based on reality does not support your preconceived view. It also advised that I do not engage you further so I don't get you more frustrated. I will take that advice. PBUY

That being said, on May 2, Nigerians will be getting unredacted files from someone's Chicago stint. We will get more insight on the person who represents Nigeria as the best they have to offer; then compare that life to our family values, if that indeed is what we embody or want for our generation. That is a far more rewarding use of time than contesting where there is no contest. Peter Obi is the benchmark for governance in Nigeria today and no amount of tears will wipe that away. |

Grok already burst your lies about the strike. Find some other lies, please. 1. The strike was due to good governance, not wanting to plunge the state into avoidable debt. While the government doctors were prancing to and from, the private sector rose up to the occasion, and with government support, handled the shortfall, giving more credence to Obi's stance in the first place. In the end, Obi succeeded; Health sector stabilized and Finances in great state.

jetguy:By now, you should have learnt that nobody steals power and uses it for good. |
GeneralPula:Might I remind Nairaland administrators that you launched a war on tribal bigotry years back? Quoting this for visibility. For all of the Igbo folks achievements in Nigeria and beyond, from the 1900s, it is a miracle how this comment still stands until now. Bigotry is pushed by accounts. Bury the account and you take out bigotry. helinues:Permit me to reference Rule 2; particularly, the part that says do not provoke. Here is a member, gloating over how they deliberately provoke, play the ostrich, then succeed in reducing Nairaland population. Putting this out here for visibility as well. cc: Seun, Mynd44, Fergie001, dominique |
Max24:What do you mean "disgrace him"? You mean rejecting his pure generosity? I would very much like to see the first batch of Nigerians to do that. If Alia does not go and replicate the goodwill Peter Obi would have done in Gboko, he is a confirmed agent of the Devil. An old man does not keep for himself, bones that he cannot chew. |
1. An interactive app is long overdue. 2. Bigotry is way overboard here. Unfortunately, it drives the most traffic as well. It's a tough call choosing between profit and mortality. 3. I know you sell adverts, but you need to sell membership as well. Nairaland needs more money for innovation. Leverage the crowd. 4. I have consistently busted people who operate multiple accounts here but they go unhindered. You need intentional moderators. 5. When last did you do/sponsor a free for all? I remember coming 4th in an essay debate years back but I'm not sure such things exist anymore. Let there be a Nairaland signature event every year. 6. One does not need to see/continuously see things that do not appeal to them. Algorithm is a big call so we can start with things like Block, Dislike, or Community Notes. |
Bhella5:You are very correct, bot. It happened a long time ago, indeed.

Ndi Imo, unu na-ahu? Since we know Nnenna Oti is one in every 4 elections cycle, it can only be in our hands to pilot our home state away from excursion governors that comes from a soundly and roundly rejected cult of a party. It is either we end this evil while it eats us, or we watch in our wasted years, helpless as it eats our children. It is well. ImpartialGuy:We shall prevail, but not by mouth. |
