Aregbesola has also promised to build an high speed rail line from Oshogbo to Abuja - this is a great man.

Does anyone know that this man's workers in the whole state has been on strike for the past four weeks?
You don't say! Please throw more light as some of us have been on planet nod. tongue

I wonder who u take yourself for - honestly. A daft? Just a question. U go about Nairaland running your mouth like you are one wise man? Abeg- keep your mouth shut for your writings make no sense, at least not to me.

Keep your mouth shut - for u are not making any sense on Nairaland, dont make yourself a wise man with all the answers to this world's problem, for if you are, you wont stay 24/7 on Nairaland writing bull crap and putting everyone else down. Now shut your mouth instead of replying, because if you reply , you are nothing but a lousy Nairalander, LOL
Given that he has made far more sense than you, I would have to say that he is indeed wise.

A very welcomed development. I am very excited already! Something tells me that this Aregbesola guy is very calculating and he does not allow naysayers distract him. I am very optimistic about this.

Seems like yesterday when myself and another NL pain in the bum got into a headlock about this issue of road construction between the SW states. I am however glad that his reasoning were right at the time.

I was actually asking her if she was refuting my claim that there are Yorubas in Kogi so I asked if she disagreed that the OKuns are in actual fact, Yorubas.

I provided them to give sources of claims that Okuns are Yorubas habituary in Kogi but I guess that flew past your head.

Certain traditions even hold that the Igala are of Fulani origin, simply because of the similarities in their physical features. It IS clear that Fulanis do not speak a Kwa language. And owing to the linguistic affinity, others affirm the Yoruba connections. For Byng Halt notes that, "It is not surprising that within a short period of arrival in Igala land, a Yoruba is well acquainted with the language.” He attributes the ease in learning the language to the closeness of the two languages. Armstrong sticks to this same view when he said: "the most definite historical statement that can be made about Igala is that . they had a common origin with the Yoruba and that the separation took place long enough ago to allow for their fairly considerable linguistic differences. There is a whole corpus of oral traditions on the origin of the Igala people.
The tradition, which holds that the Igala has the same origin with the Yoruba seem to be a plausible one. This humble submission is based on the fact that the Igala language has a lot in common with the Yoruba. Okwoli supports this view when he said: "When people speak the same language. or related languages, there is every reason to believe that they have common origin or have met somewhere.
(Curled from the book written by Rev. Fr. Fidelis Egbunu which discusses Christians taking chieftaincy titles in Igala land)

But do the Igala themselves say this? I don't think so. It has been a couple months since I last looked into it, but I don't think they view themselves as Igboid in origin.
This I can believe. If you listen to for example the Bible in Igala (http://www.igalabible.com/), it sounds like some sort of strange Yorubaish language.

Igala and Yoruba are definitely related, somehow. Or so I think.

Notice how Igala sounds absolutely nothing like Igbo, by the way?
seriously Ekt bear? Seriously? You're responding to him/her intelligbly?

THIS IS, HOW WRONG U ACTUALLY ARE ABOUT THINGS. U said the Okun aren't Yoruba but u were wrong becos of the three main tribes in Kogi, the Okun (similar to Yoruba).

The Igala are identified by the old oral tradition of Western Igbos as descendants of Igbo migrants who migrated westward during the expansion of the proto-Igbo peoples at the beginning of the 1st millennium.

The Yoruba are in turn identified by some Igalas as descendants who continued on west and eventually settled across Western Nigeria and Benin. The other main tribe are the Ebira.

Desola, I really want u to learn becos i don't like wasting my time explaining like u asked me to.
Hope you enjoyed the o.rgasm

Desola, I am not going to answer dat question becos u keep talking about your people and not your people without any idea of the things u are saying.

Desola, the bond between us Southern Nigerian's(AND NORTH CENTRAL) run deeper dan u realise. Igbo' have Efik Genealogy and the Yoruba's have Igbo Genealogy, meaning we can trace our roots to one another as descendant and family.

The foreigners in the Nigerian entity are probably the Fulani that migrated from North east Africa, present day Northern Sudan. Even the Hausa's are our relative before their subjugation under the Islamist Army of the Fulani that invaded their territory, much as they are attempting to do with the Tiv and other tribe's in Benue.

Desola, YORUBA'S ARE ACTUALLY THIRD GENERATION DESCENDANT ETHNIC-IGBO'S.
Whatever tickles your fancy.

The Kogi's are not Yoruba but Igala and that language varies based on geographical location. Igbo's have just as much claim to the Igala's as Yoruba's. They are refered to as igbo's dat migrated west. Abeg don't claim teritory reach Kogi east. grin

That is insulting to many Yorubas, for a lot of yorubas i know, the religion of Their ancestors is a big part of Whatever they do, even if they are Muslim or Christians, maybe that is why they seem more accomodating religion wise than many other people. Understand and Don't ridicule that if you want solidarity, seek to understand it bro. Read Desola's explanation again
My point exactly and that is what some of these Deltan Yorubas (or itsekiri wannabe) fail to realise. We had our own religion before the advent of Islam and Xtianity. We believed in Olodumare before the white man came to tell us that there was a God. That enlightenment is what has kept us united as a people and we are not religious fanatics like some.

abeg ooo, if you have more in common with animals in the north and Boko guys, you can go and hug them o, as for me I would rather hug humans(ndigbo) than to hug animals in the Boko enclave.
Let me tell you the difference between animals(Hausa Fulani) and Ndigbo: There is no way I will not be a commander or at least a unit leader if the secession war commence because of my physical commitment. This is how the war will be in delta south and central: Ndigbo will remain where they are living their lives freely and happily without selling any of their properties. We will provide security for ndibgo in our territory but any thing that resembles Hausa Fulany that we find in the line of our fire will go down. Even goat with long bears will not be spared. Ask why is it that ndigbo will live freely in our area and Hausa Fulani will become scarse commodity? the answer is what we share in common.

Ponder over this for a few minutes:

Would I embrace my people in the Niger delta at the detriment of my people in the NOrth? Think about it. However treacherous the Kwaran and Kogi Yorubas are, do you think i'd disown them to embrace you?

You can't lump the North together and call them animals. By doing so, you're calling the Yorubas animals too and I wouldn't allow that.

Stop trying to stretch reality, cos it just working. Jedward are the talented twins the that represented Ireland in Eurovission 2012. No?
Anyone calling David Cameron and Nick Clegg Jedward is simply referring to them as twins. And they are the twin rulers of the UK in every way indeed, lets just agree that you fail to understand the import of words used in the UK as well as the import of this topic. This is your Jedward:

I had to laugh out loud at that too. Goes to show that the lad knows absolutely nothing about the UK or the annoying duo.

In any event, jibes like, Tony B. liar are only used by the gutter press like the News of the World (closed down for phone hacking). Do you wish to emulate the gutter? Do you wish to be primitive?
don't be silly! How many of the "primitive" phrases make it to the top of the dailies? How many British forums have you graced to actually witness the British leaders being called names.

yeah yeah, the British respects their leaders so much that John Prescott was egged and he responded by dealing the attacker an uppercut.

Just because you studied briefly in the UK does not equate to you knowing everything significant about them. Nonsense!
