You're jumping the gun! Like Yorubas would say: Eni ti a ba n gbe iyawo wa ba, kii garun. I am concocting new and befitting names for the jagbajagba of Yorubaland. I would be more creative than coming up with 'Tinubu' as that to me is too simplistic. Ma worry, mariwo lo ri, oo ti regun. |

You mean she did/does not get any allowances as the deputy chairman of the Lagos State Market Development Board?
Past Chairman / Deputy
Mrs. Bola Shodipjo - 22nd July, 2005 Alh. Abibatu Mogaji – (OFR, MFR)- Deputy Chairman- (Alhaja Abosede Loremikan) 2010-2011 Alh. Abibatu Mogaji (OFR, MFR) 2011- To date Mrs Folashade Tinubu-Ojo- 2011-to Date

jmaine: Gbawe, you of all shouldn't pander to the caprices of undue sentiment . Her stealth ascension to the board in 2011 was a calculated ploy to give flesh and validity to this scam folks are sadly defending.
So your earnestly telling us a young lad with just 2 years experience will be preferred over other aspirers with multitude years of active service and experience.
Back to the Dame Perm Sec saga, No law was broken in that nepotic act and it wasn't directly sanctioned by GEJ. And its the same scenario here . .
which ever legality you desire to portray, this just doesn't feel right. The same way we castigated the Saraki of Kwara State is what is happening here . . . We don't need such sly acts of blatant and glaring acts of nepotism in our wobbly political journey . . Couldn't have worded it better! |

jmaine: Bros, We are talking about a man who is hero worshipped in Lagos and is often hailed for his propensity to dole out good gifts especially cash effortlessly. We are talking about a man whose vice like hold and grip on the political sphere of Lagos is exceptional .
It's even infantile not to believe those 57 stakeholders were not simply beholden to Lord Tinubu here for gains and favours the press won't even know about.
The PDP predicted this move, even though it was stoutly denounced by the ACN despite the treachery that was about to be legalized.
The market stakeholders in millions are behind the Iyaloja simply because 57 Market leaders took a decision on their behalf
More like saying Nigerians were happy about how the fuel subsidy removal protest ended simply because the NLC and the TUC representing their cause accepted the terms and condition of the presidency . . . Or
How Nigerians are happy on the Alams amnesty saga since all Govs (including the opposition)representing each state and its inhabitant acceded to it.
Bros, No matter how hard you try, this is plain wrong
That's all Brilliant! Even though I no like you sha. |

dayokanu: The opposiion to Tinubu have always been crude and uncoordinated and One thing aout Tinubu is that he always manage to stay on the right side of the law and makes the opposition desperate thereby making Tinuu more popular
The series of allegation against Tinubu which have fallen easily
1. He forged his certificate. How would one who forged certicates from the US work with Arthur Andersen, Delloite and Mobil
2. He is not from Lagos he is from Iragbiji. LOLstatic
3. He was running foreign accounts while in office. This was easily thrown out by the ICPC ran by the PDP
4. He is running a Tax collection consultancy. Is it legal for him to conduct such business Like other Nigerians?
5. He imposes candidates. It was already stated far back that in the ACN they dont conduct primaries
6. He is pushing his family into Politic. Are his family supposed to be disenfranchised because they are related to him?
7. His family members were not politicians before making them run for office. Must you be a Politician before you can contest?
8. He imposed his daughter as Iyaloja. Was he authority to appoint/select Iyaloja? Should the daughter be denied cos she is related to Tinubu
9. The daughter is too young. What is the age criteria to be Iyaloja
10. He is too powerful. Anyone who is able to chase PDP out of 6 states the so much desired would be powerful
If you cant coordinate allegations against him properly it would always make the opposition just look desperate and grabbing at straws
It reminds me of the American gripe against Obama
- He was not born in America. See birth Certificate - He is a Moslem - His middle name is Hussein. - He is the antichrist sorry, what do we call this copy and paste? An act of desperation? Running out of ideas?? Clutching at straws?? |

Ola one: i actually thought you would come across as clued up not this desperate attempt to derail this thread.
Yo can see your ACN?
Influencing something as pedestrian as headship of market associations.
Now, imagine what you guys do in your dodgy dungeons of Bourdillon for elective offices at State/LG council levels Their yansh don dey open small small. Now they are being called to give account. Let's go there! |

eGuerrilla: There are two separate issues here that have now been conflated, in my opinion:
(1) Allegations of nepotism (2) ACN's refusal to guided by primaries in the selection of its electoral candidates
On the first issue, it is fair say most commentators on this thread actually take a pejorative view. The reason for this is quite simple; no amount of spin from the opposing side of the divide can dampen what independent observers consider an assault on their senses, especially given the unequivocal denials issued by party apparatchiks just a few days earlier. If Tinubu does not curtail his political overreach soon, history will judge him accordingly.
Moving on, can we afford to be equally dismissive of ACN's selection process, within a context of cash-and-carry politics which often make primaries superfluous? Is this particular tradition really incompatible with democracy, when both the Conservative and Labour party in Britain which have been in existence for more than 100 years - Miliband backs US-style primaries - still uphold it?
How do we ensure a greater inclusion of women or even those drawn from linguistic minorities, in mainstream politics, if there is no absolutely room for some element of selection? Wrong! Wrong!! Wrong!! On your second account, that is. The labour party does carry our internal primaries. 25% of the MPs in the party must vote for him who emerges as the party leader, who of course goes on to become a candidate for the prime minister position. |

Eko Ile: They don't have to make you a spokesman to know and draw from your history, values and way of life.
I answered your ridiculous Bayelsa nonsense already. Bayelsa was a state and official government position with laws and constitutional implications with state funds involved, but this is a private affair and completely the opposite of your ignorant and elementary comparison.
Why are you decending so low with these weak and shallow analogies? This I expect from backward NL villagers and not you.
Your ID got stolen or what? Shut your pie hole! Wasn't it reported that your folashade was appointed according to the constitution of the market? You are not bright at all! What she holds is an official position and as long as her rule is governed by a constitution, she does hold the position in an offical capacity and so can be subject to public criticism! |
