PoliticsRe: Alamisiegha's Pardon: US Expresses Regret by Desola(f): 10:21am On Mar 16, 2013
coogar: you are getting hypersensitive about this issue.
none of us here would dispute what you have said about alams. he's a scumbag, he's a contumacious kleptomaniac and you can add any other vocab that fits a thief into this sentence.

i agree with all that but........he was convicted. he spent years in prison, all the proceeds of crime have been taken from him. he has been punished for his offence. you seem to have forgotten that! he spent about 2 yrs in prison already, i don't think pardoning him is unusual. state pardons are actually for people like him. i cannot disagree with him being pardoned!
I never thought this could come from you - EVER!!!

Nigerians have lost their morals!

Spirit1: I weep for my country. Until we are able to stand up and say enough is enough, this madness will continue in Nigeria, where corrupt politicians will plunder our national wealth and destroy the future of our Children.
Nigerians, why do we watch while our country is a laughing stock in the international community. Tell me which country, business entity or investor that will take Nigeria serious after this shame brought to us by Goodluck Jonathan.
This is the time for us to stand up for our right. This is our "Arab Spring" moment. Let every Nigerian who loves this country stand up and post here, post on twitter, post on Facebook and demand that President Goodluck rescind this shameful act. Carry placards on the streets and say enough is enough!!!
Goodluck just enshrined corruption in our identity and validated the fact that it is ok to plunder the treasures of this country.

Do not think that this will not affect you. The world is a global village and the investment opportunity, the loss of National pride, the harassment in foreign airports and the maltreatment of Nigerians abroad will affect you one way or the other. The refusal of visas to study abroad, for business or for healthcare, because we are viewed as corrupt will affect you. The fact that degrees and government documents issued in Nigeria are potentially fake, will affect you. Who can forget the case of this criminal that Goodluck still calls his "boss". It made world news, it brought insult to us all, we were ridiculed and now a pardon? If we do nothing, then we are saying this is ok. This is our country and we have to take over our destiny.
This is a slap on our faces. Nigerians, if you love this country this is the time to stand up and say enough is enough. Call on Jonathan to reserve this decision within a week or we will take to the streets and "reverse" his Presidency. Please post and repost and repost and repost.
Do not ignore this clarion call. I weep today for my country, for the blood of our heroes and for the future of our children.
Honestly, this brought tears to my eyes. I deeply weep for this country.

I'm Not "Tomakint".
Nope, I think its the other way round. I think your parents wake up; see your face and curse the day they laid eyes on each other. Had they simply walked on, they would have saved themselves the anguish of producing a total waste of space such as yourself.

Napoleondegreat: For me I like every thing the man says about lagos. Infact i will say the same when asked except that I will still be Igbo while Lagos will still be my place of Living in my next life. After all you don't have to be a yoruba before u can be a Lagosian. GOD does not make a mistake in putting one into a particular tribe
shiatsu!

With talks like this, it seems my homeland would continue seeing an influx of your people except something is done to check that imbalance.

Why can't you people just stay in your villages? Why must you encroach us? We have the smallest state in Nigeria yet you lot want to suffocate us.

This Nigerian arrangement has to be reconsidered. I am just not happy with the daily influx. it worries me on end.

Actually a lot of yoruba people will vote him in if he were a politician+ qualified. He displays a love for Lagos. He is a true Lagosian.
unlike the biafra trolls here who will be first to disparage ad condemn lagos. yet they want to govern it. Why are you so obsessed with governing a state you hate so much?and why do you think people will open their eyes and let you rule when they know you have nothing but evil feelings towards them?

Larry Koldsweat is an exception.
abeg speak for yourself jo!

Only an omo ale would do such. Appointed maybe but vote? When e no be say I dey high on paraga.

Katsumoto: Dude, give it a rest. Most sane folks aren't buying what you are selling.

Most of the posters in the politics section are not easily bamboozled by cheap 'politricks'.

Selling incompetency is a tough job and it can only be bought by dolts. Take your message to the village market square.

Like Gbawe stated, try to focus on what you 'think' GEJ is doing well. Corruption is not one of those areas.

Nigeria has cursed with visionless, corrupt, and clueless leaders but this is the first time that all three qualities are present in one president.
Wow! Fancy seeing you here, mate! Where have you been? To London to see the queen, I suppose. Please don't stay away too long next time as your absence makes dede1 potter all over the place like a cat when he is but a mere mouse. The master must not leave the house for too long otherwise, mice might just overrun it.

Good to see your esteemed self again. wink

To have taken the time at all to write this epistle richly garnished with nothing but immaculate balderdash shows your level of comprehension and dare I say intelligence.

My point to you was that, on this very thread, there was no indication on my part that I disliked gej and if truly you had stayed on the subject matter and not tried in vain to deflect by using hatred for gej and my supposed abstract love for APC/ACN as defence, you would have accepted the prayer as a truly wholesome one.

However, you shot yourself in the foot as you usually do when you attempt to shove lies down everyone's throat as gospel. You must think you're smart, but permit me to break the news to you that you are nothing but an inauspicious, blackhearted, utterly evil soul sent by the most insensitive government Nigeria has ever seen.

Get thee behind me and go and earn your keep elsewhere you shameless hack!
PoliticsRe: Fight Against Corruption: Is President Jonathan Getting It Right? by Desola(f): 12:08pm On Mar 15, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: Unlike you, I dont say prayers in vain. So when I post comments, I meant every bit of it.
My prayers weren't in vain. I said them with full gusto and every intention possible. I sincerely wish all of the good things you stated Jonathan has done to be so replicated in your life and your generation yet unborn and that things in your life to be handled exactly as jonathan handles Nigerian issues.

I mean that prayer from the bottom of my heart.
PoliticsRe: Fight Against Corruption: Is President Jonathan Getting It Right? by Desola(f): 10:49am On Mar 15, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: You'r so much fixated on this your prayer. You've completely derailed from the topic and resorted to prayers.

Well, let me for the moment follow your path of derailment. The point has to be made that on this forum, I write what I'm fully convinced about.

Just to make the point that I'm a God fearing person and thanks to my parents for giving me a proper up-bringing. I believe in prayers and its efficacy but I dont believe in saying prayers in VAIN.

However, I've always said this prayer but let me reiterate. If some persons definition of "clueless" is the actions and inactions of the current president, I pray to God to also make me and my family "clueless". QED.
If you have full conviction, why then do you request for a challenge?

As per your last statement, I say an unequivocal AMEN!
PoliticsRe: Jonathan - Alamieyeseigha Is Crucial To Nigeria's Economy by Desola(f): 10:13am On Mar 15, 2013
coal_coal: Surely, jonathan is not going to win the next election come 2015
I think it is becoming clearer that there shall be no election in 2015. That is why gej is doing all things with reckless abandon and impunity and telling us all to our faces that he does not give a shiatsu! There would be no handing over of power in 2015, it is going to be war with the very likely possibility of an Ijaw republic emergence. They have the greedy western nations on their side (America to be precise) and all they need is a small civil unrest and war is unleashed. Are you surprised by the presence of US' drones in Niger as recently reported? It's all part of the script. Jonathan knows that he has the biggest nation standing behind him and that is why he can act with impunity and tell us that there is absolutely nothing we can do about it.

Fingers and toes crossed. 24 months is only around the corner. You'll say I said so.
PoliticsRe: Third APC Group Emerges by Desola(f): 9:46am On Mar 15, 2013
Ijebulogic: 1. APC should have registered before unveiling the name now? Haba!! Can i go to press about my "company" and unveil my products if i havent registered at CAC? Its just common sense.
2. Secondly APC shouldnt be distracted by the desperados clamouring for the name.Let them keep APC.... Its Schoolboy politics. The name means nothing -its the manifesto and strategy that matters. Of all the issues to worry about why should the name take up so much energy?
A name means a lot! 2015 is around the corner and the people have to get familiar with the name of their party of choice, otherwise, there would be a lot of confusion come election day and a confused voter would easily vote for the most popular party if he's confused as to the identity of the one he actually favours.

PDP is playing trumps on APC at the moment. If APC does not get its acts together now with exactly 2 years to election period, they are toast!

phemieojelabi: He has again show his level of docility, and support to embezzlement.
It's high time people start recognising that jonathan is far from docile. He is a calculating evil and I envisage him to be worse than babangida himself. He is our greatest undoing and he is unfolding before our eyes each dawn. By the time jonathan is done with us in 2015, some of us might actually be fighting to get entry clearance into Somalia.

Fasten your seat belts all, there are more jokers in jonny's hat.

Mariwo la ri, aa ti r'egun!
PoliticsRe: Fight Against Corruption: Is President Jonathan Getting It Right? by Desola(f): 9:04am On Mar 15, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: Prayer warrior. Spare those prayers for yourself or atleast move to prayer section.

Yes my president is doing well and I'm doing well. Even on this thread you cant tell us why you hate GEJ. The CPC you'r telling us will make Nig heaven on earth, what have they done in Nasarawa? You cant back up your hate for the president with facts, just sentiments and senseless cliches.
what gave you the notion that I "hate" gej? Has anything in my posts on this thread suggested such?

You have told us how gej is doing a fantastic job and I can't recall disagreeing with you anywhere on this thread so I am at a loss as to where you are getting your ideas from. As a matter of fact, I was in such resonance with you that I enjoined another poster to bestow all the goodness you have praised gej for on your life and so much so that it should manifest on your on coming generations the same manner it is manifesting on Nigerians.

Alas, despite all these gej's goodness which is glaring to see by all and which as you know, we are all benefiting from, you want us to challenge you. See, truth is constant and to challenge it would be to lie. You have stated the unadulterated truth and except you know that all that; which you have written is contrary, then you should have no reason to want a challenge. Truth is bright that even the blind would see it in it's stark form.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan - Alamieyeseigha Is Crucial To Nigeria's Economy by Desola(f): 8:48am On Mar 15, 2013
As the northern governors are to boko haram, so is alams and gej to mend.

The long and short of gej's response is that if you want to continue enjoying the free flow of oil from the delta, you either put up or shut up! Alams is Nigeri'as benefactor and he must be placated or the polilooters die of hunger.
PoliticsRe: Fight Against Corruption: Is President Jonathan Getting It Right? by Desola(f): 11:48pm On Mar 14, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: Thank you ja re. See the haters scampering for safety on this thread. None can challenge any of the points raised. None can even articulate what their 'performing' governor is doing to curb corruption in their respective states.
Like I said earlier; you are absolutely right and there is absolutely nothing to challenge. All that, which you have written are the truth and may that also be the truth of your life. As it is in Jonathan's administration, so shall it be in your life.
PoliticsRe: Fight Against Corruption: Is President Jonathan Getting It Right? by Desola(f): 11:44pm On Mar 14, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: You dont have to wish anything for me. Spare those wishes for yourself. You dont know me and you'll NEVER know me.
I don't wish to ever know you but one thing I know for certain is that your life would be led the way Jonathan is leading Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Fight Against Corruption: Is President Jonathan Getting It Right? by Desola(f): 11:20pm On Mar 14, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: You dont know me and you'll NEVER know me. What you know are the facts above- you can see and feel them. The sensible thing to do is to challenge what you know. Its INSANITY to challenge what you do not know.

Are the haters now all mentally impaired? So none of you can communicate with FACTS? This is serious. I should have known you guys are all LOSERS.
Why are you having a go at me? There is nothing to argue against in your writing. As a matter of fact, I am willing to be convinced by you and somehow, I wish that the dividend of democracy which you claim to see coming from gej would be replicated in your personal life, that's all.
PoliticsRe: Fight Against Corruption: Is President Jonathan Getting It Right? by Desola(f): 10:49pm On Mar 14, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: This usual antics of fleeing from the message to take cover in attacking the messenger has NEVER worked and can NEVER work.

Can you attack the message and not the messenger for ONCE in your life? Challenge the FACTS above with your own facts, if you have any. Or are you mentally INCAPACITATED? My advice, seek medical help if you'r finding it difficult to express yourself or articulate what others have written.
what is the matter?

You do believe that Gej is doing right by Nigerians, don't you? If so, then may the prayer said on your behalf stick on your lineage.
PoliticsRe: Illegal Structures Demolished In Ladipo Market by Desola(f): 12:01pm On Mar 05, 2013
If not down to greed, LASG would close down the market with no hope of re-opening it in the future.

The Ladipo I knew while growing up was a decent residential area which was not at any point in its history designated to be market and even if it were so, it wouldn't be for this manner of trading. If truly, Fasola was looking out for the welfare of indigenous Lagosians, he would close the market down completely citing the health of the residents and perhaps enter into negotiations about creating a much larger site for the traders preferable on the outskirts of Lagos. That the traders are trading there in the first place is illegal and if he can evict other residents of illegal squatting in Lagos, he should do the same for Ladipo but for the money, the money.
