I'm here again boss! My previous problems with my phone is solved.

A friend of mine using Redmi 9t complained to me that she's being having issue with her phone. She said it becomes really hard for the phone to on whenever she try to reboot or maybe she exhaust the battery.
I went to the settings and discovered that she have a pending system update. I downloaded the update successfully and installed it oo. After the successful installation, the phone prompt to be restarted and we accepted to restart.
The phone off since past 11am this morning and hasn't wake up till now oo �
Please what's the way forward

The two comedians met at Essi College in Warri, Delta State where together they started presenting mock news on Delta Broadcasting Service in 1994, as they addressed several issues affecting the society.

Top American content platform and movie production company Netflix has confirmed their partnership with filmmaker Kunle Afolayan to produce three movies, Igbere TV reports.

This partnership was confirmed in a video released by Kaphub, a blog owned by Kunle Afolayan, which featured a discussion between Netflix’s director of content for Africa Ben Amadasun and Kunle.

The movie maker revealed that the three movies he would be producing would touch on different genres and backgrounds.

According to him, the three movies can be categorised as historical drama, folklore fantasy and character drama.

All three will be set in Nigeria, the first of which will be an adaptation of the third novel of Nigerian-American novelist, playwright, and screenwriter Seffi Atta titled Swallow.

Swallow is a story about a naive secretary who after a series of career woes considers her roommate’s offer to work as a drug mule in mid-1980s Lagos.

The movie is set to star the likes of Chioma Akpotha, Eniola Badmus, Mercy Aigbe, and Kelvin Ikeduba among others.

Expressing his excitement at the partnership, Kunle said: “There’s never been a greater time for us, where you have so many Nigerian stories being shown to the whole world.”

Mr Amadasun also expressed his excitement as he said it would be “exciting to bring his (Kunle’s) works like The Figurine and most recently, Citation, October 1, to our members around the world to watch.”

Kunle also produced three films – Roti, Omugwo and The Tribunal – for Africa Magic in 2017.

One Raphael Abraham narrowly escaped death on Friday March 5, when a speeding tipper driver rammed into him and a Mercedes Benz at Eliozu Junction in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Igbere TV reports.

It was gathered that the driver of tipper lost control when the traffic warden stopped the lane abruptly forcing him to ram into the car, damaging the bumper beyond repair.

Occupants of the vehicle sustained severe injuries and were rushed to the hospital where they are currently receiving treatment.

The truck hit Abraham, who was standing at the scene of the accident and pushed him into a gutter but he miraculously survived with minor head injuries and bruises.

Meanwhile, the driver of the tipper has been moved to the Eliozu police station for investigation.

A Nigerian man identified as Adepeju Elijah Adewusi has impressed many social media users after sharing pictures of the crocodile cake he baked, Igbere TV reports.

Taking to his Facebook page to share pictures of the cake, Adepeju said he was directed by the holy spirit to bake a crocodile cake.

According to the young man, God always tells him what to do and when to do it. He said when he got to his shop on January 18, he heard a voice within him saying he must bake a crocodile cake.

Former minister of aviation Femi Fani-Kayode has received Chief Whip of the Nigerian Senate, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, Igbere TV reports.

Mr Fani-Kayode revealed that he received the lawmaker representing Abia-North Senatorial District for a dinner at his home on Tuesday evening.

In a post across social media platforms on Tuesday, Fani-Kayode said he had a “wonderful time” and “some very fruitful discussions” with Kalu who he claimed has been his friend for over 30 years.

Reno Omokri has asked why Nigerians will allow Islamic cleric, Sheikh Gum appear on TV to make utterances in defence of bandits, Igbere TV reports.

Reno said this in reaction to Sheikh Gumi's statement during an interview on Channel's TV. Sheikh Gumi said bandits do not kill people and for those who have killed so far, it was "accidental".

Gumi added that when bandits attack communities and burn houses, it is done in revenge and it's an ethnic issue, not a criminal issue.

Responding, Reno wrote:

'We must be mad as a nation, when a character like Sheikh Gumi, will come on national TV and say herdsmen don’t kill, and if they do, it is “accidental”.

Former Presidential candidate, Oby Ezekwesili has stated that Nigerians are not yet ready for good governance, Igbere TV reports.

Some leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party on Tuesday met with former President Goodluck Jonathan, Igbere TV reports.

Former Senate President Bukola Saraki made this known via a post across social media platforms.

Sasa Clashes: Ganduje’s Aide Accuses Akeredolu Of Instigating Attack On Northerners

Salihu Yakasai media aide to Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje has accused Ondo State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of instigating attacks on northerners in the south-west, Igbere TV reports.

Mr Akeredolu had ordered herdsmen to vacate the state’s forest reserves in a bid to address growing allegations of crimes by suspected herders.

The allegations have increased tension between the Yoruba and Fulani herdsmen, with an ethnic clash in Shasha, Ibadan, Oyo State forcing the state government to declare curfew.

Following a call by Akeredolu, who is also chairman of South-West Governor’s Forum, for peace to reign, Mr Yakasai tweeted on Sunday that the governor and activist Sunday Igboho instigated the attack.

He threatened that the north would “retaliate” at the general elections in 2023 if the attacks continue.

“You’re the 1st to start this instigations, Sunday Ighaho followed suit & now it’s Shasha. I can bet my life these aren’t mere coincidences. If South West leaders don’t put a stop to these deliberate attacks, we in the North will retaliate in 2023 at the ballot box. #ArewaRemembers,” he said.

Lady Assaulted By Policemen During COVID-19 Lockdown Awarded N5m In Damages

The Federal High Court sitting in Osogbo, on
Monday, February 1, awarded N5 million damages against the Nigeria Police Force and the Inspector General of Police over the abuse of a woman, Tola Azeez, in Osun State, Igbere TV reports.

A video of the officers assaulting the young lady went viral in April 2020. Tola was walking along Odo Ori Market in Iwo, to buy a drug for a relative when the officers who were enforcing the lockdown, descended on her, flogging her mercilessly with their whips.

The state police command identified and arrested the erring officers, Ikuesan Taiwo, an inspector and Abass Ibrahim, a corporal.

To protest the assault, a fundamental human right enforcement suit was filed by a lawyer, Pelumi Olajengbesi, on behalf of Ms Azeez.

The police counsel, F.B Osei, argued that Messrs Taiwo and Ibrahim were agents of the Nigeria Police Force, and that the Nigeria Police Force and the Inspector General of Police could not be held liable for the acts and omission of its officers.

This was countered by Mr Olajensgbesi who said the officers carried out the assault during an official assignment as agents of the police force.

While delivering judgement on the case on Monday, the presiding judge, Justice Ayo Emmanuel, resolved the matter in favour of the applicant. He held that the actions of the offending officers in the discharge of their official duties as agents of the police amounted to an infringement of the Fundamental Right to Dignity of Ms Azeez, a liability the Nigeria Police Force must shoulder.

He then awarded the sum of N5 million as aggravated and general damages against the police.

Tola also took to her Twitter handle to react to the judgement.

UK-Based Nigerian Prince-Turned-Plumber Sets Up Charity To Provide Boreholes In Nigeria ck home

Nigerian prince Akeem Adenuga who gave up his royal life to become a plumber for Thames Water in London has launched his own charity to provide clean water for his community back home.

The 63-year-old arrived in the UK in 1994 for study. His career in plumbing began in 2000 when he took on a job as a trainee leakage technician at Thames Water.

Adenuga’s brother, King Asunmo Aderibigbe, is the paramount ruler of Odo-Ayandelu, Agbowa-Ikosi, a small town two-hour drive from Lagos.

Adenuga, who lives in Tottenham and is a huge Arsenal fan, now leads a team of 24 engineers who find and fix hidden subterranean leaks across the city.

With his new charity Merry-Gold Water, the prince hopes to give something back to the community he left behind.

Adenuga held a virtual charity launch on Saturday where he invited people from Nigeria, friends from America and Ireland, and some from Thames Water.

The charity aims to raise an initial £20,000 to provide clean drinking water in rural and vulnerable communities in Lagos, Igbere TV reports. He wants to create boreholes with taps that everyone in the community can access.

Adenuga said a lot of his friends do not know his heritage because he is a private person, according to Daily Mail.

He added: “But this charity that I have launched will be a big surprise to them. I have not even told my brother, who is the king, what we are planning.

“I am very proud of that heritage, but in England I am just a leakage engineer and I love what I do.

“But you cannot forget your roots and I want to give something back.”

Igbere TV gathered that Adenuga is married and has five children.

No fewer than 384 Nigerians have arrived Abuja following their evacuation from Saudi Arabia, the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) announced on Thursday, Igbere TV reports.

They arrived at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja via Saudi Air flight B773.

“384 Returnees (300 Males, 83 Females and one Infant) of the 802 Stranded Nigerians in UEA just arrive at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja via Saudi Air flight B773 at about 1:10 pm local time today 28th January 2021,” the tweet read.

The returnees will be quarantined at the Federal Capital Territory Hajj camp for 14 days in line with COVID-19 protocols, NIDCOM said.

NIDCOM chairman/chief executive officer Abike Dabiri-Erewa had announced earlier in the week that the evacuation would be carried out.

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has received the second dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine, his media aide Paul Ibe said on Wednesday, Igbere TV reports.

The former number two citizen, who is currently in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, had received the first shot on January 6.

“H.E @atiku earlier today took his second dose of Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine. He had earlier had the first jab on the 6th of January,” Mr Ibe tweeted.
