gocac: for you consumption, i am a Rivers man. GEJ should answer that question not me. Because Gej could have done what Buhari is doing today, instead he abandoned ND and decided to build amajiri schools and railway in the north. Now, Is it Buhari you never vited fir that will remember you? Stop talking nonsense here. Blane goodluck and not fulani cow called bubu. Stop vomiting lies. Goodluck was never GMD of NNPC and even though I am not a GEJ fan I know GEJ tried with the pushing of PIB. Same Northerners who resisted PIB are the ones trying to build Power plants & pipelines through NNPC. |

omohayek: You are absolutely correct. Follies like this one illustrate why northerners in general (and Buhari in particular) are so adamantly opposed to privatization and deregulation, especially when it comes to NNPC and the entire oil sector: in a fully market-driven environment, in which oil sector companies are all run by rational return-maximizing investors, nobody in their right minds would locate anything to do with oil in the land-locked north, far away from where the raw materials are actually extracted; in addition, hardly any northerners would be picked for jobs at all but the most menial levels, so goodbye to Alhaji Dogonyaro being appointed boss of an organization in which his southern underlings are vastly smarter and better qualified than he is.
Nigeria's numerous loss-making parastatals are essentially all about providing meaningless "jobs" for a certain part of the country which still can't compete on merit even after nearly 60 years of the playing field being heavily tilted in its favor. That's why the north won't allow anything that can help us successfully have a private hands driven oil industry. The southerners hold all the advantage except one - population. |

mikolo80: you're stupid.they are not asking for the car. they already 'own' it not the south(they are just lamenting cos it's parked in their driveway meanwhile they not using said driveway) . do you prefer the north just steal and loot the oil? See am, mumu. Where is the 'car' ? The north is losing cos of its obssesion with oil. |

mikolo80: what an ignorant answer. the north IS using it's resources to build it. it's called federal allocation dummy. did you complain when they built oceanography school for you.? or universities or oil rigs? So in exchange for a school they build power plants ? They should build school of desert also. |

Reference: Honestly, I cannot believe we are this dumb as a people for these guys to have the audacity to talk rubbish like this. When a nation, a people are so ignorant of everything from how government works, to how democracy develops nations, and how countries build solid foundations for sustainable prosperity, some idiots will just appear out of nowhere to sell stories to mask their criminal intents.
Till tomorrow they cannot see the futility in the useless mega projects of absolutely zero feasibility. Piping vapour thousands of miles across the country with zero supporting infrastructure, negative track record of maintenance and hopeless economic benefit. The NNPC that cannot feed its white elephant refineries wants to step into a more difficult league called electricity.... honestly this is just sickening.... Have u noticed the desperation of the north towards oil and gas? As we type away the north is prospecting aggresively for oil up north. Their 19 governors even gathered to discuss and lobby it few weeks back. I was expecting the NNPC to learn from dangote and try building modern maintenable refineries that will help us get further value out of the ND's raw crude before they export and share its proceeds. We are still trying to dominate one another instead to moving forward concurrently. |

That's like a man with jerry can approaching a filling station owner to ask for a car cos he plans to buy fuel. Your mind is dull. |

What stop the northern governor too from building it from their own purse also? Is NNPC for the north or under power ministry ? Aboki ! |

ChimaAgbalajob: The stated policy of this regime is to sell off all the national assets in southern Nigeria and use the money to build same in northern Nigeria.
In essence to make sure every penny earned by Federal government of Nigeria since independence which was not stolen by northern military juntas is totally robbed from the south and spent in the northwest zone God bless you. |

Why can't this same govt do a refinery the size of dangote to ensure more people are employed down south instead of exporting it raw and sharing the proceeds. |

How do this vultures sleep?
What kind of child enjoys the wickedness of the Father? My father's know i'll tell him the truth at all times.
God please forgive us our sins and deliver us from terrible leaders.
If this bastard removes 1 billion and pay salaries will it kill his children destiny or will that stop him from making his own personal gains? I just don't get this kind of creatures in government. Where were the people crying now when Aregbe was paying idle hands 13th month salary ? The mismanagement didn't start today. The table only turned against those it used to favour. Sirjamo: We can compare this to a private firm whose profit margin nosedived, it either downsize or make it personnel take pay cut, the choice is the worker's. Stop churning out daft analogies . . . 1) In a private firm operation and its existence are both sustained by workers effort but in Osun that's not the case as there are tens of thousands of ghost workers and even more idle hands. 2) In a private firm, the establishment does not expand in size (asset and capital) while paying half salary but Osun state has done the equivalent of that and comissions at least a project every other month while it pays workers who add taste and value to these infrastructures half salary. 3) Private firms don't take stupid loans and force workers to shoulder the burden. If you don't know what to post regarding sensitive issues, silence is an option. Aregbe has determined that projects like new school buildings are more important than the zeal and motivation of the workers who determine to great extent what the student get in return. He could have done such projects in moderation and balance things up but chose to gamble on oil earning that's beyond is control. |
