Will soon apply for my visa. Last time I downloaded 2017 study permit form but was told at embassy to use 2018 version. Now it is 2019, does anyone know if d current one will be 2019 or I should just print out the 2018 version I have? I asked cos I couldn't verify as someone helped me in downloading the last one on his laptop. Secondly, tax clearance cert I have expired on 31st Dec 2018 and my sponsor doesn't have another tax clearance form Hope I can still use that? Tnx for your kindness and assistance. |

You are so kind. God will bless you. Naijaforeigner post=74369189]Let Me use this opportunity to challenge every nairalander most especially those ones already in Canada studying to please try and help people coming to their provinces or cities. Please come in here and see if there is anyone who just got visa and is coming to your city or school. Please let’s help each other, it is not easy for people just arriving. They will save so much money if we point them in the right direction. Dont just get visa, arrive Canada and go off from this thread. Some of the mistakes we made when we first arrived as students, we can help others coming to Canada avoid it. It will save them lot of cash. For example, lonelydude planned to stay in hotel for 3 days for about 250 dollars inorder to help him get accommodation. I contacted him and suggested he looks up accomdation on Kijiji and off campus accomdation of his school while in Nigeria, look out for apartments that were within his budget, get the phone numbers of the landlord/agent and forward them to me. I will call the landlords and help him fix viewing of those apartments for the day he would be arriving (01/01/19) in london so he can view all the rooms the same day he would arrive and then make a choice. That way, he will end up staying in hotel for just 1 night and move straight the next day to his new apartment. To the glory of God he got his apartment same day he arrived London, ON. He viewed I think 4 apartments and made his choice. I got to know lonelydude on this same Nairaland Just some days ago. We are students and we should help each other in any way to save cost and help each other adapt easily. Today 02/01/19, we will go and open a bank account, get a SIM, show him shops he can get stuff and thereafter, he will be on his own With a sim, data and bank card, he will be able to navigate around town easily. This makes life easy and saves lot of cash. There are some things I have got to realize on getting here but when I have made my full research (confirmed and reconfirmed), I will come and share them here openly. God bless Nairalanders. Apologies to anyone who sent me SOP and I could not help out, I have been extremely busy. Special shout out to Thecongo2 once again for leaving his family on new years day and spending almost 4 hours of his time driving us around London. There is no way your children will not find Favour anywhere they go in Jesus name (amen).
4 Likes 1 Share |

unequivocally say that, the attached letter was not written by a fellow learned colleague....the grammatical error, poor punctuation is an arrant show of shame and a defeat to professionalism. The letter headed paper was either stolen or the letter was prepared by the least of all baby lawyers. In any case, write to the school either to seek for a refund or a deferral depending on your choice. Considering that a third party processed your application, do not reapply without seeing your GCMS notes......since the refusal letter was given to you, your UCI and application number would be on the refusal letter....you would need those details to request for the GCMS When you are set to reapply, simply create a CIC account and process your application yourself.....Nairaland will definitely be a sure guide. Good luck!!!
I respect you. I also admire your kind heart. God will surely reward every of your kind gesture. Remain favoured. |

Tnx so much dear. I will try my best. 8pages or 1 page...i doesnt matter, mine was just a page, seen someone with 6 pages..all that matters is what is contained in it..but 8 pages for me will be too much, make it a bit shorter and still well detailed..let it dont look like you are begging them..lol
|

I love this. This is exactly what my mind told before I came across your comment. Thanks bro/Sis. I have seen someone who got an approval with 7pages SOP and a 5pages of LOE. All you need to do is make it organized and well explained. Depending on your previous refusal reason(s) and other information to be contained in it. An SOP should be able to convince the VO with the necessary points/details irrespective of the number of pages. Nobody could actually tell if a lengthy SOP bores the VO or not, its just based on complete assumptions. Take pages to explain yourself reasonably.
|
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Determinedsoul: 1:50pm On Dec 02, 2018 |
Ok dear. Tnx a lot. Break down the SOP into sub topics, then paragraph each subtopic appropriately. That makes it well organized and easy to read.Even if the VO will not read everything, she can pick any of the sub topics to read.

Wrote a detailed SOP of about 8 pages, cos I was refused initially and was told by 2 people now that it's lengthy that the VO might not read all. That I can be precise to make it 2 pages just like the former one. Please gurus help, is this advisable or I should just leave the 8pages? Honestly I will appreciate your advice as am a bit confused now. Tnx 1 Like |

Bros thanks. Plz would you mind me sending you my SOP for a review plz? Maybe u could help guide me after going thru it. You can flash me on this no while I call. Tried sending you message but diidnt go thru. Zero nine zero two two two two one nine three five. Tnx dr. Your problem here is nothing but a good and convincing SOP your line of study Nursing and critical care are kinda related. I think you didn't show the relationship between the two courses or you weren't able to convince the VO why you actually going for critical care and after finishing the course, the career opportunity here in Nigeria of getting a job. The VO could also be thinking...Why spending so much on critical care in Canada whereas you can actually do the course in your home country? If we don't offer the course here in Nigeria you gotta write blah blah blah If we do offer the course in Nigeria, you tell them why you chose to do it in Canada Maybe because of the Hands-on projects with real-world applications Blah blah blah In your next application while writing your SOP just go straight to the point and hit the nail Don't make it bogus. Good luck
|

He got his visa out of Kenya. Good luck to you.
|

Congrats dear uote author=rachaelD post=73351165]Hello house, application approved. Applied July8 for September 2018 Biometrics was done a week after Submitted about 5m in my brothers account and evidence of fixed deposit 10m License to practice Statement of purpose Letter of attestation from sponsor Letter of introduction from work and bank Payslip for sponsor and mine. My statement of account didn’t fit the size so I didn’t submit. No update on the account even my biometrics and upfront medical. Just generic responses. Later added my transcript, certificate via cse form 22/11/18 -I was asked to submit passport Submitted on Thursday, counterfoiled Friday, letter of correspondence on Saturday. Picked up today. It is only God that made it possible, I didn’t even pray so much but I always left it in his care whenever I could as I felt defeated. If you don’t believe in God, I don’t know what to tell you because I’m sure he’s the one that came through for me. I even submitted all my additional documents in financial support side instead of with SOP and I still forgot to submit some.
|
