obibanks: Goodday house, I have a few questions based on visa interview 1)If you have your WAEC Cert, is there any need for school leaving testimonial 2) What type of work experience proof do they need at the embassy 3) If your sponsor is not directly related, is it an issue? (My fathers friend though) 1. There's no need for testimonial just go with your WAEC Certificate. 2. Embassy doesn't need your work experience. However, just ensure you have your CV ready, cos it's a requirement at the interview. 3. It's not an issue. Just ensure you know basic facts about him |

holadhayor1: Who else got a mail from DUISBURG ESSEN today? Deustchemann, Please i need your attention. Did you apply with an EPL? The course coordinator of my program told me that I don't need to submit any proof of English proficiency since I'm a Nigerian and English is our official language. Which mail did you get from them? What course did you apply for? |

JesusKreist: Hello house, Is it compulsory to go with the primary school certificate even with the waec certificate? My primary school don cast o. Before you go for your interview, I'll suggest you exhaust all available options. If you don't have your primary school certificate, and your school doesn't exist anymore, go to the ministry of education in your state. They can issue you an official letter stating that you had your primary education in that state and school for a period of time, and that you graduated from there. Try to get this, hold some money incase you'll need to spend. The thing with primary school certificate is that, most times if you say you don't have it with you, Paulinus might overlook it. Sometimes, if him network no gree connect with yours, that single document can cause kasala with him. All the best. |

Prince5887: Does anyone know if uni Kassel (M. A. GPED) sends rejection notice or not? They've been silent for too long (uni assist forwarded docs in early April) and the first round of AL has been sent out (in May) but I wasn't lucky in that round and I was informed that my application has moved to second round reviewal but no reply for the mails I have sent since getting the last information. I guess that's a waiting list. In the mail you got, it's most likely they tell you how long you should expect to be on the waiting list, That's if second round reviewal to them means waiting list. But to clarify your doubt, mail the course coordinator to ask for when the second round will be out, and whether they issue rejection notice to unadmitted applicants. If you've done so already, then await their response, which I believe is the most authentic. |

danielnwatu: I went to waec office to buy waec scratch card for my appointment only to get a result checker voucher pin typed on a paper. Hope this will be accepted in the embassy. Secondly I was told I can get prepaid courier envelope at the embassy. How true is this? The voucher will be accepted. If it's on a small slip, Just ensure its stapled to an A4 paper, so it won't get lost in the process of sorting. Yes, you can get your prepaid courier envelope at a DHL outlet close to the embassy. But it's safer to get one before your interview date sha, cos you don't know if they might be open that day (anything fit happen) |

ddoc100: Good day guys, just joining this thread today. I started processing my admission but I have a situation right now. Sorry if it's long but pls bear with me.
Firstly someone used uni assist to process admission for me while I was serving last year, it didn't work out cos the guy applied for scholarship so my mum said I should do it on my own. I tried to use uni assist but because the guy used his own email address I couldn't create an new account with my info. Would have spoken to that guy to give me the password but my mum said I shouldn't do any business with that guy again.
So I went on to use DAAD and applied directly to two schools. I finished NYSC in March and applied in april
The first one sent me my application form after I applied while the second one didn't, I saw somewhere that we should certify so I went to the German embassy and certified for the first school that gave me admission. Kiel university.
Now I got a letter of decline from Kiel University, I'm heartbroken now. Cos I'm waiting for the second university, Bonn university as my last hope of admission this year.
I haven't even certified for Bonn cos I don't have the application letter and I don't know how the cost and process for high Court certification is.
Also what do I do with certification if I didn't apply with uniassist? I think I understand what you mean. However, the two advices you've been given so far are very valid. You need to read more from this thread. Well, From my analysis, you don't appear to be engrained in the modus operandi of this processing. 1. Different schools have different mode of Application. Some will ask you to upload your documents online ALONE, for some, after uploading online, they'll ask you to print your application form and send with certified documents. Some don't need online uploads, just fill and print the Application form on your computer and send with certified copies So, your school ultimately decides whether you're certifying or not. You were talking about Bonn, well, to the best of my knowledge, cos I applied for 5 different courses there, they don't ask for certified documents (I can't say for your own course). I only uploaded my documents on their portal. 2. Certifying at the embassy requires the Application form of the school you're applying to. If Bonn requires you to send certified copies, then open the portal where you uploaded your documents, you'll find your application form as a PDF document. Download it and print, and take to embassy with the other documents for Certification. 3. Try to retrieve your Uni-assist Account. If it's not possible, then open another one, incase you might need it later. As regards Uni-assist, you only need to send them 1 set of certified documents even if you're applying to 10 different schools. Please ensure you read the thread well. You can always ask questions, but be sure that we will know , from the type of questions you ask, whether you're truly reading up. I wish nairaland has somewhere you can reply with a voice note. It makes explanation easier Good luck with Bonn. |

Premiercare: Sorry for taking us back. Pls 1. can someone else help to certify your credentials in the German embassy 2. Can you certify certificate without any admission application forms. 1. The embassy did not state whether Certification can be done by proxy. I once saw someone said that if there is an official declaration from you, probably signed in court (not sure about that), given to the person, he should be allowed to certify for you. If this arrangement doesn't work,or isn't convenient, just certify at high court. No one needs to check your identity 2. You can't Certify at the embassy without Application form of the school it's meant for. |

fasa199: Please I need information on how to start the admission process in any school in Germany, with English as their mode of teaching, no TOELF and No tuition fee. Please any good help will be needed. Thanks Deustchemann: You're in the right place. You should start preparing for Summer 2020. Applications should be open from August upwards. In the meantime, let me suggest some things you should get done that will ease your chances wella. 1. Obtain your ND, HND , BSc Certificates and Transcripts from your school 2. Obtain a letter of English proficiency from your school too. Although, I will strongly recommend that you write IELTS or TOEFL alternatively. 3. Visit this link from time to time
https://www.daad.de/deutschland/studienangebote/international-programmes/en/result/?q=°ree%5B%5D=&lang%5B%5D=&fos=&cert=&admReq=&scholarshipLC=&scholarshipSC=&langDeAvailable=&langEnAvailable=&lvlEn%5B%5D=&cit%5B%5D=&tyi%5B%5D=&ins%5B%5D=&fee=&bgn%5B%5D=&dur%5B%5D=&sort=4&subjects%5B%5D=&limit=10&offset=&display=list
You will be able to search for plenty schools that you can apply to, as well as their mode of Application.
4. Visit www.uni-assist.de and open an account there. Incase you might need to apply through them.
5. Get a jotter and a good pen. As you're browsing through DAAD, write things down. Each school, course, mode of Application, deadline, semester fee, city and state the school is located, course coordinator email address. Keep the jotter handy and out of sight of people it won't be useful to.
6. When it is Application period, kickstart your applications. If you need to certify, Visit high courts around you to certify photocopies. If you stay in Lagos, you can certify at the embassy for free.
I believe you already have your international passport, if you don't, you can start applying for one. Also, ensure you have your means of sustenance Standby either by blocked account or German declaration of sponsorship.
Most importantly, Spend time reading through this thread. Start from page 1. Spending 3hrs daily to read here, you can cover all the pages under 2 weeks. Believe me, you'll be armed with excess information.
I wish you success in your endeavours.
It's a wonderful morning here |

Kolombo88: guys with regards to vpd, this is the message on uni assist site about the school i applied HTW Berlin: What happens after uni-assist has forwarded the application? uni-assist check the documents according to criteria set by HTW Berlin. They will inform you of the result in writing by e-mail and by post. If all criteria are met they can forward your application to the university. Afterwards your application will be further reviewed by the university. The HTW Berlin itself is responsible for informing on admission.
Do i still have to forward VPD to the school myself or uni assist will do that? as the schools deadline is 30th june and i only just applied on the 14th of june With what was written in this message, your application will be forwarded directly to your school. |
