Too many voices tend to speak for Igbos on Nairaland these days. Perhaps it's time we re-institute the "Eze Ndi Igbo Nairaland" title holder. I hate these several voices, which all claim to speak of us, and end up throwing up more confusion even in simple matters.

Fact of the matter is, Biafra will not get 100% support in Aba or Onitsha, neither will it get 0% support in Asaba or P/H. Until there is referendum, we can never see the true picture. Vocal minority can never speak for majority; Igbos should not be intimidated, and should not cede any ground in this agitation because a few people feel offended.

1. Spread of Business Tentacles: Like I said earlier, Ndigbo are virtually in every nooks and crannies of Nigeria. Little wonder it is said that "anywhere you go and do not see an Igbo man, it is advisable to run away". If we secede from Nigeria, we would loose the opportunity of expanding beyond our coast.

2. Investment Outside Igboland: We might be loosing a reasonable chunk of our investment if Biafra successfully secede. Nigeria will not hesitate to put stringent policies that will cost Ndigbo a lot of their investments in the (new) Nigeria.

3. Presently, there is no indices on ground that suggest that Ndigbo are ready for Biafra. Besides the hullabaloos of bigoted Igbo e-warriors on social media, there is nothing else. I should be taking Biafra serious when Igbo investors begin to invest more in Igboland.
