As per Transcorp...

Dexterax: Cowboys owe their allegiance to one thing and one thing only; PROFIT.

Once in a while their motives may assume different forms and different timeframes but their allegiances never shift. The onus is on the investor or speculator to align or misalign himself accordingly in the cases where the forms or timeframes of the cowboys are in or out of sync with theirs.

Dragonking: If only people had an idea of what forte oil are planning some may dump oando fo FO but the risk is high because of d price and unavailability of the stock.
I'd like to see the dumb fund managers who are liquidating their FO positions and moving into FGN bonds...If there's any!

Now that's an illiquid, mid-cap/blue-chip stock.

It seems inconceivable that Forte Oil could be trading at Seplat’s price by FY 2014...This stock might just do a 150% flip!

UkwuAmu: Many more opportunities will show up . its the season. problem is not a single unit was traded yesterday on the tsx .i feel you die for Okomu . methinks you will still have the opportunity to load it at a lower price . its time to do nothing and watch bargains show
As staunch capitalists, we'll be waiting! In btw, have you been following the games between Bill Ackman & Herbalife?

If Okomu prints lower, I'm loading extra units. Really.

nitrogen: Yes, but you can actually lock your funds in now, you are guaranteed coupon payments which is fixed till maturity, current yields which seem not attactive will only determine consideration, buy now at this level(s) and be entitled to semi annual payments till maturity, if Emefiele decides to catch anyone unawares by lowering interest rate, it will just be for that person to sell at a lower yield, which is more money, that is if he/she wants to sell.
Just because this is the safe strategy considering our current clime, I'll most likely not follow it. Like I wrote on SMN and @Agbalowomeri has also written, in the midst of this general Wave 5, some Wave 3 exploits will be going on (whose returns will dwarf bond yields by no small margin).

Our exchange rate regime and import-based economy guarantee that financial assets will continue to hold sway in terms of returns, so I guess the field's large enough...

Dexterax: Cos after February 2015, if we find ourselves in benign economic conditions, Mr. Emefiele might catch those herdish fund managers unawares.
It's also plausible to think that the fund managers are conducting fake-outs just to inspire fear, causing many to sell off, only to return to the markets unannounced much later...taking positions @ very attractive price levels.

Basically bluffing...
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Dexterax(m): 8:29pm On Jul 22, 2014
Dexterax: Yeah, generally both asset classes are "risk substitutes"... so there's an a GENERAL inverse relationship btw them. Like I posted some weeks ago, some fund managers who believe they're smart are liquidating positions in stocks and packing into bonds & t-bills in droves.

Even if there should be any 'flight to safety', it makes more sense to me to park in illiquid, blue chips-mid cap stocks... I think this might be the state of play much later.

nitrogen: This close up advert, na Dexterax dey always drive the motor, while passwelle dey always conduct things.......God dey o!

On a more serious note, when stock maket is down, bond market is always good, and vice-versa, true? Cos I have been noticing uptrends in the bond market these days.
