Those of you saying prayers and shii for your holdings are damn too funny.

Do you guys even stop to consider that some other peep somewhere is also praying to your god too for the same stock to fall so he can enter? And he might just be as fervent or righteous as you?

So which prayer will your god answer please?

Keep praying anyways.

Most illiquid stocks has been resisting the bears CAP, Okomu, Redstar, UPL, etc.
I guess you've seen the back n forth going on between shareholders of Oando and okomu oil on SMN.

What's your gut feeling telling you will happen today?
Will the NSE be flat Red green or BLOODY
I think the bloodshed will be restricted...CAP for instance is yet to shed real blood. The stock get "ogboju"...

APR traded thinly yesterday compared to all the other days of wanton bloodletting.

Let's see how things out anyways...

I think those who have exited positions are talking too much. I see this as expression of fear that they might be wrong. We are talking as if we would get to see stocks with ROE of 25% and P/E of 3. I am taking a bet on this!

Anyway, I pray this bear continue long enough for me to arrange additional cash to plunge in.

I don't know how old you are sir but this is going to be very difficult to achieve.

Consider that there are more dollars in circulation outside the United States. Even terrorists transact their business in US dollars.
Read Currency Wars by James Rickards (not Richards).

The United States have been involved in financial war game simulations for a long time. They use advanced game theory and other related knowledge to simulate what state and non-state actors could do to crash the US dollar and T-bills.

These guys are in the business of continuous improvement.

While they are at that (ie dissolving OPEC) , I would also like to see in my lifetime foreign trades transacted in another currency other than the dollar.

Those guys are more interested in safe guarding their market share....

Saudi is ready to sell at $50 to protect their market share in the US cos they are in direct competition with the shale producers.
Meanwhile peeps have been peddling the notion that once oil prices get to $80 or so, US shale crusaders would halt their production campaigns.

Chesapeake Energy just recently announced that drilling costs in its shale fields are tumbling and even increased their earlier profit estimates for FY 2014!

ConocoPhillips sabi how far finally. Consider that the famous ministerial consent saga which ended the "money on the table" suspense ended in June - just while oil was trading at $115 per barrel...

The outcome of the upcoming OPEC meeting is very crucial ..ie if OPEC still matters.
Like I've typed somewhere else, the agenda for that meeting should be the DISSOLUTION OF OPEC.

We are a microsome of the market. Virtually all investors are the same in terms of greed and fear. An annoucement from CBN Governor or Minister of finance can calm frail nerves.
I want to believe it's this same flavor of naivety that has kept you holding unto a more than 35% losing position.

I'll join your bus at NGN 8.00. Please keep a good seat for me.

Please we all need to calm down, myjoy08 is not your problem, we all need to go back to the holy grail of investment- don't invest what you cannot afford to loose, I've lost 35% of my portfolio but exiting my position will not solve my problem because that was the cause of it. We are all running away and that will worsen the situation. If all of us stop panicking the market will rebound.
Like seriously?

I'm still holding Okomu Oil. I plan to load up more as it plunges.

In times like these, there's nothing like an illiquid stock. The slow movement of the stock would make a snail thankful.

In another development, the all parties meeting for Oxygen's rights is to hold today. Barring last minutes changes, they are still bent on coming at 22. I gave an unbiased opinion to someone not to buy it today and he went ahead and mopped 500k units at a 'faster rate' when the offer was building up earlier on. Now, there are over 4million on offer and I know he will beg to sell at maybe 10 naira.
Bruv......barring any unforseen events and forward-looking paragraphs, myself and a few others were waiting for oando at NGN 8.00. However, a friend was kind enough to shift the entry price to NGN 2.00.

We're having a parry at his place this weekend.
