Born2berich: True and everyone knows that.At all boss, not everyone. ![]() |
Dexterax: B2B, now 7Up & Co. have entered the public space and peeps are now talking about them on NL & SMN, you wan still buy them?My point is this: the fact that the stock of a company is in the news or otherwise bears little correlation to the ability of market participants to make money on it. |
Born2berich: Yes price will increase but before you get to your destination you would have bought about 12 sets of brand new tyres for the oando bus, changed the engine severally, taken the bus to the workshop for regular maintenance and the driver would definitely run away due to exhaustion while leaving the passengers to bear the brunt.Like l always type, you align or misalign yourself with the business tactics & timings of the cowboys, according to your own interests. If they decide to change tyres, you can jump off, board another bus and jump back in at another bus stop (if they don't take a different route!) ![]() |

Born2berich: IMO oando has more of speculators than long investors and so many people expect it to rally high like FO but we can all see that will not happen. You'd be surprised at the number of pension funds and investment companies that are back in the oxygen train. Many of them are not into the social media too (they don't have time for that) but the holdings of one of them will dwarf NL plus SMN holdings combined. If a 14-seater bus tries to carry 100 peeps then the transport fare (Oando share price) can only get more expensive with time. ![]() |
Born2berich: Definitely 7up.By few passengers, B2B, d' you mean NL and SMN passengers? l doubt that NL/SMN investors and speculators constitute up to 10% of NSE domestic activity. |
nitrogen: Brother, I dey o, I no dey market at the moment, market dey vex me. Make I sip alomo, I dey come!Hehehe. Go and read some philosophy too after the green bottle. U go begin see some things... ![]() |
Dexterax: Welcome madam.Short-term sentiments on this stock are currently negative, however. For a value investor with a long term view and a smart gambler with the concept of expected value in mind, current sentiments shouldn't matter much. |
MissJones: Back to the above quote. Please, can you assist in explaining the divestment further...I hope WT will not turn oando plc to a shell company soon.Welcome madam. The planned divestment is from 49% of Oando Marketing, not OER. The latter is the cash cow of the cowboys, they can only improve the ability of the parent to cater for the needs of the child of promise, if you get what l mean. That's the preferred method of cowboyism. |
Michael11stock:"In the spring, at the time when kings go off to war, David sent Joab out with the king's men and the whole Israelite army. They destroyed the Ammonites and besieged Rabbah. But David remained in Jerusalem." It is a Monday morning oga. Usually, on Monday mornings, peeps try to conduct some business. ![]() |

http://businessdayonline.com/2014/08/insurance-sector-the-emerging-big-5/#.U98wfxlwbqB Tolu...more insurance sentiments. Emma Ewumi and I had speculated on M&A and related activities coming up in this sector sometime in the past, before the NL crash I think. Now this report has zoned in on a 'Big Five'. A Risk Arbitrage opportunity should present itself in the future, even though, for now, it seems only the LONG side of any trade can be exploited. |
ihedioramma: pls help me tell them is sin for some one to have sex with his wife in the market(proverb). were is this people from self? and what are they up to? and who they follow come here ?.Dude...calm down. What if the man and his wife live in the market? Make dem come use ya house? ![]() |

Toluway: You should start paying forthis advert. Dexterax, why do you think inspite of repeated bad results, Wapic continues to stand it's ground? Personally, I feel the reason is that the stock has a powerful speculative advantage. Go check it's 1 and 2yrs price chart and you will discover it is on bullish trend. Fundamental indicators seem to be the the true gauge of human sentiments at times.Tolu mehnnn... Wapic is a technical play for now. Sentiments around the stock are driving it bruv. Really; from the Cowboy Factor through the Halo Effect from the success of Custodian & Allied Insurance to their Re-branding paroles...And, fortunately or otherwise, in the world we live in, sentiments can affect the fundamentals of an asset, instead of reflecting it, as we've been taught to think. Like I responded to nitrogen, a major tailwind in their most recent financial statement is the more-than-double increase in underwriting profit (but the kick about underwriting profit is that if very little claims were made during the review period, then its all passive income; think about debtors 'making money' on their outstanding debt profile due to hyperflation, not exactly the same situation though). Also notice that all the stated HY 2014 performance metrics are estimates. *Disclosure: I'm still exposed to this stock* |

Trulie: Gurus in d house. my apologies, am just a learner trying to follow in your steps of intellectual analysis. I just feel there is no need throwing banters at each other over oando as I would learn nothing from it. once again oga akas and co forgive ur boy ooo.Go and sin no more dude. **When cowboys 'forgive' you, watch your back. Macing can come anytime.** ![]() |
@Moneysage... Any downward tendencies toward the 66k Sept-2013 low should take price action into an oversold region. Then we can start seeing things... ![]() |
jamace: How market, my bnsitl?Shhhhhh....we're delivering our mandate on that dude's farm chickens! |
soloniger: hmmm I can only decode cwa as costain west africa;, no?Correct, yes! |
Sobrit: here we go again. Now somebody is showing his true colours. More like nobody should believe anybody. Then again, i wonder what we stand to gain by deliberately deceiving your fellows. Smh Dexterax: 01-Aug-2014.If your faculties have depreciated so much as to take the the above instruction and execute it (no matter how the instruction is framed on NL and SMN), then you're playing in the Nigerian Soccer League while others are playing the Barclays Premiership. |
Sobrit: here we go again. Now somebody is showing his true colours. More like nobody should believe anybody. Then again, i wonder what we stand to gain by deliberately deceiving your fellows. Smh01-Aug-2014. Fill a purchase mandate today. Send it to your broker. Tell him to place a BUY FOREVER mandate on Wapic Insurance since I own it. I'll tell you when to SELL it. |
Moneysage: BTW, can we play d CWA game again? Dexter, speak if you can!Bruv, I just set up my preferred technical indicators for CWA; 1. the current alignment of the 3 MAs will mean that our game will be put on hold for now. If the MAs go into a squeeze and the price action breaks above the 100-day MA, then we can log in... ![]() 2. the price action has been range bound for a while too, only affording a maximum profit potential of around 42k since 17-Apr-2014. Nice weekend bruv... |
Dexterax: Please anybody with an idea of the exit period of Africa Capital Alliance from Union Bank? |
![]() @Moneysage, I'll review & revert...Omo that game no go bad this period oh. |
dsonofmaan: Thought you said you were out of the market till next year?Bruv, u sabi every! If you extrapolate NL and SMN forum behaviour to a bigger stage (e.g. a company), what you get is one of the rudiments of Cowboyism: always ensure your words, your actions and their timing are out of sync! |
dsonofmaan: And the funny thing is that, there's one dude on SMN who's analysis on the fundermentals and prospect of Oando is antipathetic to say the least, yet he has his entire portfolio buried in Unity bank shares. And I ensure I treat his matter everytime he shows up with his bullshiit... |
What is going on as per Oando on SMN now is funny to me for 3 reasons: 1. The cry for analysis and explanations is happening because peeps expected a bull run this week to the NGN 30+ range and it's apparently not happening. If it were happening, all we'll be seeing are various bus stop figures as one scrolls up and down the site. 2. I've actually typed this before; the yearnings and timing of minority investors can be out of sync with that of the business owners (also known as the "Cowboys" ). When this is the case, chaos usually lies only in the camp of the minority. Unfortunately. 3. When inflection points occur in history, most peeps don't catch it, cos we're always underestimating or overestimating events and the key players. Knowledge is good and sweet, but it's not enough to determine the course of events. You can be sure of one thing: anybody betting their pension on the 'implied' outcome of the analysis of the experts will lose it all. I mean ALL. |

I'm surprised that daily predictions should even amount to any significance. How much would a smart gambler bet on oando increasing or decreasing today? SMH. |
