feelamong: So they came to the market and took more funds from us, increased their OS and then not increase their earnings in proportional terms and its ok? Oga, name one company that has achieved a proportional increase in EPS based on increase in OS within a year of a Rights' Issue. I need to be wrong right now. |

The cover page of the Africa Prudential Registrars' Rights' Issue circular has transaction dates that coincide with the release of its 9 months results. It is logical to conclude that 1bn shares were used in calculating the 9 months results for 2013. |

@Moneysage I agree. Another way to think about JIJO too is based on time-frames. Those aware of the MT4 platform for currency trading know that 4-hour and daily time-frames are well exploited by day-traders; these time-frames still fall under the JIJO class, only that some interesting transactions would hold for overnight holding periods. PW could actually exploit these bigger time-frames based on the statistical betting patterns of market makers who work over-time to maintain assets within bands (think about what the CBN does with the naira... ) |

Hehehe... Market making is a very HARD business area apparently. Remember what was going down at Access and Wapic 3 months ago (those volume correlations), see all the trouble the market is causing for Access Bank's market makers and AIG proxies... Contrast this with the diligent Forte Oil market makers who keep over-delivering on their KPIs. Coming into the market at 1427 -1429 hours and still over-delivering. In the end you see that on the NSE, fundamentals count for less when it comes to the business of determining the price behavior of a financial asset. You'd win more if you combined say 15% fundamental analysis, 35% technical analysis and 50% smart statistics (like PW) than good-ol' fundamental analysis, 99% purity. I'm just being honest. |

Moneysage: @Dexterax: You are sharing your wish, yet again ; later we will be told of how another revered member of this forum advised you not to take-on Emma.
Nna ehn, you made me lose my temperature But you can mend things the covert way...lest thou see me in thy dreams.
#a slight (?quasi) pullback on the rally, though. Oga mi, no vex (overt). Meanwhile abeg contact Emma if he's in that your chilly zone. A friend and I were discussing the dynamics of influencing a rally on select stocks today. Based on the financial resources required and the stocks involved, this is very achievable. |

mrikay: Hello all.... Please is Access Bank still doing the Rights Issue? Because I no com hear anything again. Ogbeni no vex... But based on the last trading price @ the time of this post, the markets have ensured that Access Bank shareholders do not enjoy any RIGHTS to the stock. In other words, non-holders of the stock are now the ones who really have RIGHTS. Hehehe... You might as well purchase the piece of ownership from the secondary market. |

Monday is one of the most deceitful days both for 9 to 5 jobs and market activities on the Nigerian Stock Exchange.
For 9 to 5 jobs, its on Mondays that peeps look so serious but really accomplish nothing. Cos 90°.
On the NSE, this is the day that monkey hunters succeed the most, especially after a bear market.
Even the highest rate of suicides happen on Mondays. |
