Am starting another journey 2017/2018

My delivery was elective CS due to previous myomectomy. Government hospital booked me for 20 Oct (37weeks) ,private book me for November 4. ( 39 week+) BT government hospital total cost is Around 120k while the private charged me 250k. BT i intend to use private hospital coz that where I did my myomectomy and its a family hospital BT 250k is too much cz things are terribly tight since I got pregnant ,to the extent that its only hospital things I could be able to get till the day I deliver.bt hubby kept 100k aside for the surgery in case of emergency.

On Thursday 20 Oct,Ogun state workers went on strike,so on Friday 21 went to the private to talk to the MD abt the price with my sister maybe he will reduce it since he is my parent family Dr too.on getting there after so much talk talk he agreed to collect 200k and ask me to follow him to the scan room ,scan said am 40 week meanwhile am 37 week.that how he ask me to go and bring my bag or I pick date from that Friday to Monday.
My sister and those nurse on duty encouraged to do it that day,that it will look like surprise to everybody,got scared went to jumat service then later went home to bring my bag.
By 6pm the Dr that will give me anaesthesia came to educate me abt spinal anaesthesia and set the lines on my hand then we both walk to the theatre. After many drip,a spinal anaesthesia was injected into my spine, then I felt numb, from d lower part of my breast to my legs was like a foam, then I was just hearing pass me this, pass me that, I saw the 2 surgeons & the MD himself tearing me apart within 10 mins my baby was brought out,they show her to me and take her out.they still spend like 45 minute with me within that period I was shivering seriously I asked them why am shivering they said its d AC that is on and my condition that if am out of the theater it will stop,after like 30 min out,the shivering stooped.anxiety and pain didn't allow me to sleep all thru the night.
They discharge us on Thursday ,a day to the naming. During my stay at the hospital things stared falling in place gradually and we bought almost 80 per cent of baby need.

Motherhood is another chapter of life all woman experience it. I pray Almighty ALLAH bless the TTC soonest

Good evening wonderful mothers. @deyoola, my lo also had d eye discharge thing which resolved we tried several things but finally resolved when he was 3 months. My suggestions are: get normal saline (drip) and clean cotton wool and clean as much as possible may be even 3 hours daily. Also try punctal massage : massage the area where the inner eyes touches the upper part of the nose using strokes from the inner eyes down to the side of the nose. You can do like 5- 10stokes thrice daily. Ensure you wash your hands before doing this. This is to ensure free flow of eye fluid so that it can drain into the body. Also it will prevent accumulation of water in the eyes that can become infected and then discharges.

Pls experienced mother,help a first timer and a worried mum, my baby is 3weeks 5 days old.
1. Her eye is bringing out discharge since birth,they gave us eye drop to be applying @ hospital werebi gave birth,after finishing the drop the discharge still continue.what can I do to stop this

2. Since last week she started vomiting,i was told to burp her after each feed which i did but today I burp her,she blench and still vomit .what can i do to stop this?

3.her stomach do make some noise and she stretch and grunt while sleeping ?

@mydreams25, am having similar issue with yours now.though my own was not CS.
During my TTC days I did myometomy ( fibroid surgery) in 2012 ,and I got pregnant early did year. I register for ante- natal in diff 3 hospital cz that's d 3 hospital I was using during my TTC days( that's 3 hospital story is for another days)

At the government hospital that I registrar,I only see Dr once cz don't really have much complain,its d mid wives that will do most things for us @ ante natal days,its those that has complain that will see the Dr cz of crowd BT if you can have the patience one can wait o BT the crowds i can't stand it since I don't have any special complain,same thing @ the private hospital that I use.

Bt my mind just told me last week Monday to see Dr on Tuesday which was my clinic day just to complain abt my leg cramps for him, only for him to tell me that am almost due and am carrying a big baby (2.86kg @ 35wks) that since they have work on my uterous before he will not advice me to go for Virginal delivery ,that I should opt for elective CS ,nd guy sharply pick date for me o, that that is the best option for me BT if I want virginal delivery I can try it.fear grip me I rush to one matron office who is my mum friend to tell her she said same thing.
On thursday ,I went to the private hospital for ante natal and see the Dr too BT didn't tell him what d other Dr told me o,only for him to said the same thing and he was d one that operate before for the fibroid with some other Dr in his hospital.

I only discus it with my hubby and he accept one time, BT me wish to try VD,stil feeling somehow abt it BT this story we you give shake my mind o.

Happy to new week to all senior mama's , new mama"s, waddling mama's and ttc . the Almigty will answer our innermost prayer.

This platform as been a blessing to many, personally to me this page is my comfort zone, can't do without visiting for 12hrs, if I don't visit I always feel part of me is gone since TTC days.BT to always type and be active be the wahala.

Answer:-
1. Yes, a woman who abort before can get fibroid and woman who didn't abort before can have it too.
2.you wouldn't feeling the pain during the surgery,abt after it you will feel it.when you woke you wake up ,you will feel it BT its endurable.
3. Both is okay, but for private hospital make sure you are been handle by a gynaecologist and a surgeon.
4.its depends, 120k upward.

Am able cappy,I remain loyal.abt the sex of the LO, have said it earlier,don't know which one to follow the first scan says XX, 2nd scan XY both in same lab and the 3 scan from anoda lab says XX. So I don't know which on to follow again, though I register in 2 hospital private and general,and they booked me for scan @ the general hospital in 2weeks time.maybe by then o.
Am even confuse cz I don't knw what to buy.am just buying whatvi don't really like cz am shopping for unsex.

Abt the heaviness and waddling,my teamie,no be small thing o. And hubby can fear no be small,so when am in discomfort or pain and he is around me I have to put up fake smile .cz the way he will react me sef go dey fear.

I Wake up this morning with tears of joy,giving thanks to the Almighty ALLAH for taking me this far journey.AM SO HAPPY .

@ liftedhand and realdentist thnkz for your contributions , I don't knw if they are treating me for typhoid or infection too but but inside the investigation form I took to the lab section they tick 4 diff test ,the once I know are widal and pcv.

We are progressing in the ministry, @ 33 weeks today

Thanks to answering my questions,I reject admission coz of the economy ni o,I was ask to deposit 25k before admitting me and he gave me an option to be coming from home everyday for 4 days if I want to. That's is why I decline the admission since he gave me other option.

Am not doing self medication,am using the drugs they gave me and am going for my injections tooo,am just curious abt this particular drugs cz I suspect it is anti biotics.

Good day to all mama's , how is the ministry going ? Pls o, yetersday ibwas feeling so uncomfortable and all body pain ,feverish and vomiting went to clinic ,was to to do some test which they later detect malaria 2 lines,they said its on a high side,they initially want to admit me but i decline it.so they place me on injection and some drugs BT this particular drugs I sent am not comfortable with it , maybe its because its I didn't met the senior Dr @ hostipal .I want sabi mamas to help me is it save in pregnancy ?

Am doing very much fine,the baby is kicking actively expect the pelvic pains I do have and have complain abt both hospital I registered for ANC ,they only ask me to use paracetamol and always rest.

Mamas o, is it that my bobbis are preparing for breast feeding?

I am big breasted with wide flat aareola but funny thing started happening some weeks back.
I feel tingles on d bobbis when I look, I see the dark part is becoming fuller like I have a big nip.ple
Right now, I can hold all the aerola and it's hard.
After I used cotton wool n olive oil to clean last night I saw a little discharge on d aerola (not nip.ple mouth o)
Please is it normal or should I stop stimulating the bobbis?

What has been helping me with the pu is orange juice.
Now that Orange is readily available becos of fasting. I buy like 100 or 200 naira worth every evening
That's say 8 pieces or less
Then press in a bowl and still chew the inner part
The juice is kept in d fridge and drank last tin at night or in d morning depending on my need
It helps alot

U can also do water melon. It would help too.

Anything to avoid cramp is the way...

I had taken it for 3days following my experienced friend advise before I ran it by the doctor. Lol
Please don't be like me, show ur doctor everything before u think of starting.

I can boldly say heartburn is something I don't remember again.
And I now enjoy my meals as I am sure it would digest.

New week is starting On Tuesday. Week 23, 22,21 and 20.
Yippee.... Everyone is crossing the half way line by this week.
I am so happy.
