Your sight is beyond correction. By human standard you can never regain your sight again, what a pity, but with God miracle is possible, pray more and change your mindset.
FalseProphet1:
I see dangote exploiting Nigerians once he's refinery is completed, I see fuel selling for over N200 per liter, I see people complaining, I see dangote exporting the file to neighboring African countries and selling to them at N80 per liter.

This I have seen.

Christianity EtcJohn Onwuchekwa An Atlanta Based Pastor Resigns His Pastorate by dgreatthinker(op): 11:06pm On Dec 14, 2022
Last week, Onwuchekwa, co-founder of the Crete Collective — which starts churches in communities of color — and a pastor of Cornerstone Church in Atlanta, announced that he was stepping down from his congregation at the end of the year. His last sermon will be this Sunday (Dec. 18).
Onwuchekwa and his congregation made headlines in 2020 when he and the church broke ties with the Southern Baptist Convention over what he saw as a lack of urgency in dealing with issues of race. At the time, Onwuchekwa was a rising star in the SBC, helping other Black pastors connect with the nation’s largest Protestant denomination. In 2021, he cut back to half time at the church, becoming a bivocational pastor, so he could have time to write and pursue projects outside the church. The church had grown fairly quickly to a congregation of about 400 people, which brought challenges.

Onwuchekwa said his skill set fits well with being a pastor of a startup congregation — gathering people together, setting a vision and getting the church off the ground. But he felt he didn’t have the kind of administrative skills needed to pastor a larger congregation. There was a mismatch between the church’s needs and my gifts,” he said.

The 24-7 realities of a pastor’s life also took their toll on the 38-year-old Onwuchekwa, who began working as a minister in his early 20s. He loved preaching and teaching, saying that “I could do that all day, every day, for free.”

But what he called the “latent responsibility” of a pastor came with a heavy load.

“One phone call can change everything,” he said.

A turning point for Onwuchekwa came this summer, after doing the funeral for a church member who took their own life. That event rocked Onwuchekwa. He ended up taking some time away and began considering leaving the church.

The 2020 pandemic and the realities of the decline of local congregations — the average church in the United States now has only about 65 people, down from 137 two decades ago — have caused a number of pastors to rethink their calling.

One challenge in leaving the pastorate, said Onwuchekwa, was finding a blueprint for handling such a transition — both for himself and for the church. The church is doing well and at least from the outside, Onwuchekwa’s ministry is thriving. He’s a popular speaker and coach and has a new book out this year called “We Go On.” “If I had been pastoring for 40 years and left,” he said, “we would have had a blueprint for what to do. If I had a moral failing, our church would have had a blueprint on what to do. If I was burned out, our church would have a blueprint.”

Jaylen Smith, an 18-year-old college freshman, is now the youngest mayor in the history of the United States after defeating his opponent for the position in a small town of Arkansas state.

Smith was elected as mayor of a small-town Earle on Tuesday. He defeated his opponent, Nemi Matthews, the city’s street and sanitation superintendent, by 235 votes to 185, according to local media.

Jaylen Smith graduated from high school in May. Less than a year later, the 18-year-old will be tasked with governing Earle, Arkansas, as the rural city’s newly elected mayor.

They raised money among themselves I am aware that they raised 12m for the rally, highest being donated by the MHR Abiola MAKINDE and Dr. Adeyeye Jibayo, the least is one guy who donated 50 Naira. I am from the Town but resides in Abroad

PoliticsRe: Reno Omokri: Peter Obi Will Help Tinubu To Become President by dgreatthinker: 2:39am On Oct 02, 2022
This is one in a million post that emanated from a right-thinking fellow. The facts are laid out and the conclusion was factual.
lhordspy:
Very true... It is more like Obi and Atiku fighting for their already 2019 joint votes. Tinubu is not affected a bit.

The number of new votes or should i say voters that is adding to the 2019 own .. Is just 1m+ newly registered voters, after INEC screened the double registration out.

Even if the 1m+ people are to vote for obi, which is practically impossible, add it to the number of Atiku/obi votes in 2019(which is impossible because Atiku already have the northern voters in his bag) ... It wont be enough to even win an election.

Incase you dont understand what am trying to say. Even if you join Obi votes presently + Atiku's vote + the 1m newly registered voters, it isnt still enough to defeat a certain Tinubu APC if going by the Last general election.

Why am refferring to the last general elections is because nothing changes, nothing have change. Except the rallies and supposedly '2million' match which we witness almost every seconds.

The same people engaging in rallies or supporting obi, never voted for APC 2019.

The same set of people feeling marginalised on religious bases, because of the muslim-muslim ticket will never vote for APC in 2019 too.

The same christian bodies antagonising muslim muslim ticket, Never supported Buhari 2019 also.

The same Afenifere, never supported APC 2019

The same South East, South south.. Are traditionally PDP voters, their votes never changes the outcome of 2019.

Infact some of the muslims voted Atiku/obi 2019, but this time arround with the present political situation where the campaign as been turned into religious one, religous sentiments have found it way in Nigeria politics now, those votes are going to APC this time.

Undecided voters in 2019 like me, who voted for Atiku/obi will never ever vote for any of them this time, why? Because of the aggressive way of the obidients followers. I know so many of us here that are on that line or should i say clinging to that excuse.

The south-west voted overwhelming for Atiku/obi 2019, not because of the love for Atiku or Obi but because we felt the pain of the failed First tenure of buhari then.. Even lagos was almost lost by APC even with Tinubu.
I feel my analysis is right here because those states lost by APC 2019 in southwest, was won by same APC governors during the governorship election except Oyo state which was narrowly lost.
Now, coming to 2023, i feels a tribal sentiment will play major role here, APC will win massively in south west. But what if APC lost, they lost Overall in the southwest in 2019 in the presidential election. It still never changes anything. APC STILL WON THE ELECTION. BUHARI WON.

So when you take all this into consideration, analyse it without religious sentiment or hatred for any candidate. IT DOESN'T CHANGES ANYTHING. Infact the antagonism. of the Buhari candidature we witness in 2019, was far far more than the Tinubu candidature upset we are witness now. Because the anger of Buhari's first tenure which was marred by gross incompetency, insecurities upset alot of people and it cut across all regions. Be it yoruba, hausa, igbo, egede, idoma, ebira... Just name it.. People were angry with his first tenure.
And after the election? I think we all know what happened - Buhari won again.

Some people are saying, the youth, the youth!. Do they PVc's? Alright fine, someone also came out to say they registered because of Obi this year.
Then they didnt turn out massively like we are been deceivedto believe, the number of newly registered voters justify my point. Just 1m+ (which am sure the youth cant have more than 50% of 1m+)

So in my opinion, it takes more more than this childish rallies, photoshopping Tinubu's picture in an irritating manner, or throwing of insult and jabs. We, when i mean we, i mean i included engage in all this for Atiku/obi 2019, Buhari still won.

By simple logic and permutation and the little knowledge i have about politics, TINUBU may not win next year general election, but APC WILL DEFINITELY WIN. And it will be by landslide JUST LIKE 2019.
BECAUSE NOTHING HAS CHANGED EXCEPT THAT OBI AND ATIKU ARE NOW SHARING THEIR VOTES.
Foreign AffairsFormer Governor And Vice-presidential Candidate Loses House Of Rep Election by dgreatthinker(op): 2:59am On Sep 02, 2022
Mary Peltola, a Democrat, defeated Sarah Palin, a well-known Republican, in a special House election. Ms. Palin, a household name and former Republican Party vice-presidential nominee, lost a special House election this week that will send Mary Peltola, a Democrat, to Congress until January. But she will enter a rematch with Ms. Peltola and other opponents this fall as they seek to fill Alaska’s lone congressional seat from 2023 onward. Ms. Palin failed to consolidate the support of Republican voters, contending with low approval ratings and a ranked-choice system that favored moderate candidates. The question is whether she can overcome the same challenges in the fall. Former President Donald J. Trump had endorsed Ms. Palin, 58, a former Alaska governor, but she came in second behind Ms. Peltola by a few percentage points late Wednesday after two rounds of tabulations in a new election system that allowed voters to rank their top three choices in order of preference. Ms. Peltola will now finish the term of Representative Don Young, who died in March after serving in Washington for nearly 50 years. After the results were released Wednesday, Ms. Palin appeared stunned and frustrated in a video filmed at her campaign headquarters in Anchorage.

A Church purportedly asked students to pay a fee into an account of a microfinance owed by the church, upon investigation, it was discovered that the address of the so called microfinance coincidentally is the headquarters of the same church. Ask yourself, what's the motive behind a Government owned school asking all students ( Christians & Muslims) to pay into a bank account owned by a Church with no physical address other than the Church itself?
Receive sense.

If they try to take you to court for leaving them, there is a way for you to get out in court, am sure they will never go to court, because it is clear they will will be defeated in court, there are area of contract law that protect people like you with such contract. Two, the experience you stand to benefit from the company is a bonus to you for a future job. Ignore the person who said you should reject the offer and go abroad, going abroad is the totally lucrative as people make it to look like, am currently typing this message from the US and I can tell you for free, this country is not a bed of roses and most Nigerian believe coming to the US will give them the life they are dreaming about. Yes there are opportunity here, but gathering more opportunity prior to coming is a advantage. Few months ago, I placed an advert here in Nairaland, for an Engineer, but till date nobody applied, and the job was to pay $120k a year. I work with amazon and i am a senior HR mgr, the recruitment was for a regional manager to be the pioneer manger for the Nigeria sort center.

PoliticsRe: Tinubu: Shettima Is Unaware That He’s My Running Mate by dgreatthinker: 4:08am On Jul 11, 2022
Built2last:
By chosing to run a Muslim-Muslim ticket in a country like Nigeria and at a time such as now, the one clear message the APC is sending to the Christian Community in Nigeria is; DO YOUR WORST! YOU DON'T COUNT!

Beyond this insult, the most imb£cilic set of idjiots are the people who, in a bid to protect their own intestinal interest, argue that a Muslim-Muslim ticket in a highly volatile multi-religious Nigeria, , doesn't matter as long as they are competent (As if there are no competent Christians in the North). If it doesn't matter, why did some people give that as a condition for supporting Tinubu who himself is a Muslim? This is the fuulish justification we were given when Buhari was filling all sensitive positions with only people from a particular region and religion. Today, how far?

And because for some of our Daddy G.O and Men of God, the bl00d of money appears ticker than the bl00d of Christ, this insult might be left unresponded to. Some of them may even find a way to justify this even if it means standing the Bible on its head like Pastor Poju did when he turned the definition of faith upside down in a desperate bid to disguise his support for Tinubu. Pa Adeboye will deliberately play the 'see no evil and hear no evil' card. Bakare will most definitely find a way to defend this as a way of paying back his debt to Tinubu. No surprise in his own case.

But I trust the irrepressible Bishops David Oyedepo and David Ibiyeomie. Those two have never been found wanting when it comes to defending the interests of their flock.

As for CAN, I want to believe they are preparing a ROBUST counter measure beyond mere rhetorics.
By God grace, I am a follower of the lord Jesus Christ, though, am not a pastor but, a very dedicated follower. The position of many of our compatriots can not be ignore, but how they are going about it will not in any way, proffer solution to what they are afraid of. Having a Muslim President and a Chattian Vice President will not in anyway, solve the fear of being dominated by Religion of the President. For 8 years, Professor Osinbajo was Vice President, what benefit did be conferred on the Christian community in Nigeria? You mentioned KADUNA incidence, was Professor Osinbajo able to stop or do anything about it or any of such incidence, the answer is NO. The fact is that the Vice President does not have the power, even to protest. I strongly believe the president and Vice should in fact be of the same faith, while the SENATE PRESIDENT and SPEAKER, HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES should be of the the same religion, but opposite of whatever the PREWSIDENT AND VICE PRESIDENT. That is the only solution for the BALANCE OF POWER between the two major religion in Nigeria
PoliticsRe: Ekweremadu: Ukpo Nwamini Is Lying About Being 15 Years Old - Kperogi by dgreatthinker: 7:06am On Jun 25, 2022
I have my reservations about the boy and the senator. Nevertheless, the information on the NIN alone can not be sacrosanct in determining the boy's age. If the plan had been in place before the boy registered with the National Population Commission, that could have answered the age on the NIN application. The procurement of a NIN is a prerequisite for acquiring Nigerian Passport. To scientifically check if the guy's age is fifteen of twenty-one, they just need one X-ray. On the contrary, if there is any evidence that the fee was paid or promised, then the boy's age does not matter in the case. It is illegal anywhere to buy or sell an organ.
EducationNigerian-american Student Rotimi Kukoyi Gets Accepted Into 15 Schools Including by dgreatthinker(op): 5:04am On Jun 20, 2022
Rotimi Kukoyi’s Acceptance Letters And Decision
Kukoyi has been accepted into 15 universities including Harvard University, Yale University, and Stanford University, as well as was awarded over $2 million in scholarships, per the outlet. What’s more, he’s his school’s first Black National Merit Scholar.

The Alabama teen’s inspiration to apply to the prestigious universities stemmed from being previously featured on “Jeopardy!”

“It was a really fun experience but also put me in contact with some pretty cool students from across the country,” Kukoyi said, according to the outlet. “A lot of them are older and they’re like seniors or juniors that applied to many prestigious schools a lot of them are attending prestigious universities now. So that was kind of my original inspiration to apply to those universities.”

Kukoyi has made the decision to attend UNC-Chapel Hill, which he aims to propel him into a career in public health.

Supporting Underrepresented Minorities
The Nigerian-American student wants to help fellow students dream as big as he did regarding applying to schools. To aid in the financial barriers that minority students face when preparing for college, Kukoyi was a part of setting up free tutoring “for those in need of more academic support or resources, and for those seeking to take the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.”

“… I feel like a lot of the disparities that we see with standardized testing are because these underrepresented minorities in low income communities often can’t afford the same levels of [test preparation] that their wealthier counterparts get,” he said. “So by establishing free tutoring programs, that could kind of help to equalize the playing field.”

BusinessRe: How Do I Recover My Money From Union Bank? by dgreatthinker: 4:32am On Apr 26, 2022
xcelpro:
Good day Nairaland.
Please how do I recover my money from Union Bank?
On 19th April 2022, I went to use their ATM at about 8:10 a.m and I was debited N20k without cash dispense because the machine went off while counting the money due to power failure from the bank's generator house.
After 24hrs I went to their branch to lay a compliant and they acknowledged the dispense error and started that it will be reversed after 24hrs which did not happen.
I called their customer care line 2 days later and one of their agent told me that it will be reversed after 24hrs and that she has sent It for manual reversal.
Despite this I didn't get the reversal.

I again went to the bank last week Friday, 23rd April and the customer service apologized that it must be reversed that day which did not still happen.
I chatted them up on Twitter, and they claim that it has been reversed, and after proving that nothing has been reversed they stopped responding to my messages on Twitter.
I sent them a mail and they didn't respond till yesterday, where they stated that the issue will be resolve within 48 hours.
Nothing has happened yet.
I tried calling their their customer service now and I noticed that I can no longer reach them with my two lines, probably they blocked my line.

P.s; I am fully aware that they have breached their obligation in respect to banker-customer relationship and that I would be entitled to damages if I sue them for this.
But the truth is, instituting a legal action now would be too expensive for me coupled with the litigation process.

Please what do you suggest I do apart from litigation?
You have to do something funny to get your money. Buy native pot put incense into it, put it in a bag and go to their toilet, ignite it and come out to thew open with smoke coming out, believe me, you will get your money with interest.

You need to know her takes on African culture, her redlines and have it in mind that you might not be able to practice as a medical doctor here (The probability is very low, but not impossible) Forget about the impression that women have sole prerogative to eject their spouse, the right is for both male and female. PoliticsOlusola Oke (san) Emerges The Unity Forum Candidate For Ondo 2020 Candidate by dgreatthinker(op): 12:09pm On May 12, 2020
Gentlemen of the press, considering the mood of the state and continuous ban on political meetings and the fact that INEC has given its nod for electronic campaign, we hereby present to the public the long awaited report of the Ondo APC Unity Forum concerning its governorship aspirant for the 2020 governorship election in Ondo state, as presented by the Gubernatorial Candidate Selection Committee.

The Unity Forum, by the content of the report has adopted *Chief Olusola Oke, SAN* as the candidate of the Forum. All the leaders and members of the Unity Forum are hereby enjoined to begin mobilisation across the state for the candidate of the forum.

*REPORT OF 7-MAN GUBERNATORIAL CANDIDATE SELECTION COMMITTEE FOR UNITY FORUM*

During the meeting of the Aspirants on March 23, 2020, a unanimous decision was taken by all the Aspirants that the 7-man Gubernatorial Candidate Selection Committee should come up with a candidate to represent the Unity Forum in the Ondo State 2020 General election. This is due in part to the failure of the Aspirants to reach a consensus on a person to represent them as a candidate. In taking this unanimous decision, all the ten (10) Aspirants

(1) Dr Segun Abraham
(2) Barrister Olarewaju Kazeem
(3) Barrister Bukola Adetula
(4) Prince Dapo Adelegan
(5) Mr Adelami Olayide Owolabi
(6) Mr Akintunde Akinsewa Awodeyi
(7) Barrister Mrs Jumoke Anifowose
(cool Chief Olusola Oke
(9) Engr Ife Oyedele
(10)Prince Jimmy Odimayo

agreed to accept the candidate recommended by the Committee. However, one of the Aspirants insisted that he must be convinced that the process would be credible.

Consequently, on March 24, 2020, six members of the committee met and one was unavoidably absent. They debated on the issue of presenting a candidate in line with the Committee's terms of reference and the concurrence of the aspirants.

As a result, four of the six members opted for Chief Olusola Oke SAN, one opted for a technocrat whose identity was not disclosed and one opted for a female Aspirant.

We thank the leader of Unity Forum H.E. Alhaji Alli Olanusi and the members of the forum for giving us the opportunity to serve in this challenging task of selecting a candidate for the forum.

The disgraceful collaboration between the ruling APC of Ondo State and Zenith Labour Party led by ex Governor Olusegun MIMIKO has perfected everything to win the plan house of Assembly election slated for tomorrow. The verified source confirmed that the sum of 350,000 (Three Hundred and fifty Thousand Naira) has been set aside for each of the 307 units in Ondo East and West. Both parties lost same Federal constituencies to relatively new ADC in the last Nation Assembly election held two weeks ago. Our source equally informed us that, the alliance has equally put in place enough boys to intimidate voters to either vote for their preferred candidates or get maimed. This was the same method employed by PDP led by same Olusegun MIMIKO in the 2015 state house of Assembly after loosing to the then opposition party the APC in the presidential election to come back and won 21 of the 26 house of Assembly.Attention of the security gency should be paid to this treat.
