TOPIC: IF PHARAOH WAS EASY…

BASIC SCRIPTURE: EXODUS 7: 14 - 25

Today’s scripture Vs. 22 says: “And the magicians of Egypt did so with their enchantments: and Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, neither did he hearken unto them; as the LORD had a said.” Note: Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, so that he would not let the children of Israel go. “So the LORD allowed Pharaoh to harden his heart!
God could have killed Pharaoh in a second, but He played along with his stubbornness in order to use him to play (get His glory), later! However, See Exodus 12:31 – “And he (pharaoh) called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, “Rise up, and get you forth from among my people, both ye and the children of Israel: and go, serve the LORD, as ye have said.” Vs 32 – “Also take your flocks and your herds, as ye have said and be gone; and bless me also “Did you get that? God pinned pharaoh down through the death of all the FIRSTBORNS and in the land and Pharaoh allowed the people to go. Wow! The Holy Ghost is like a hunter sometimes! He can set traps that will hook your stubborn enemies down! He wants you to know that your God knows the weakness of your enemies!

Your God knows how to disgrace them in His time! But Quickly browse through Exodus 14:8 “And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he pursued after the children of Israel: and the children of Israel went out with an high hand.” I can imagine Moses screaming: PHARAOH AGAIN? Yes! When your pharaoh seems impossible, hard or difficult and your battles seem to defy all prayers and fasting, refuse to quit. A hard pharaoh is your ladder to your worldwide victory dance! Hear Joel Osteen: “You are going through tough times – that’s life. But I say, ‘Nothing happens to you, it happens for you.’ See the positive in negative events .” Did Pharaoh not die a shameful death in a sea grave? Did he not become breakfast for the sea animals?

Oh, I can imagine the “fishes/sea animals of the RED SEA” had a “celebration party because they was plenty of flesh to eat,” God was glorified at last! Thank God Pharaoh was not easy! If Pharaoh was easy, there would have been no VICTORY DANCE OF EXODUS 15. No wonder God allowed Pharaoh to be hardened and stubborn again and again! An “EASY PHARAOH” WOULD HAVE DENIED THE WORLD OF THE RED SEA MIRACLE story! You are next to show forth the glory of your God through harsh delays or battles! Something great is about to happen!

TOPIC: RE-OCCURRING BATTLES ARE YOUR LADDERS!

BASIC SCRIPTURES: JEREMIAH 15:18;
DANIEL 6:11-28.

Welcome to today’s devotional with the God that is more than enough! When an enemy that has surrendered like Pharaoh, suddenly begins to contend (fight, hate or pursue) with you again, then God is up to something incredible in your Favour! There are some battles that reoccur even after your testimony has been given in church! Refuse to worry! In Jeremiah 15:18, the prophet Jeremiah asked a question that all have asked at one time or the other: “Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, which refuseth to be healed?

Wilt Thou be altogether unto me as a liar, and as waters that fail? However before we continue, I want you to see Psalm 78:66: “And He smote His enemies in the hinder parts: He put them to a perpetual reproach.” Note: HINDER PARTS! Oh, God is good! He smote His enemies (your enemies) from the back (hinder parts) – He took them unawares! He ambushed them! He sent them the arrow of divine surprise and perpetual reproach! God can allow stubborn enemies because He wants amazing testimonies from that stubborn and long battle!

When your battles seem to be without an end as in the case of Daniel (today’s 2nd scripture), who was bound by an evil irreversible decree, always dance because your God will stamp your haters with a badge called perpetual reproach! Isaiah 59:19 says: “…When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.” There is nothing like an EVERLASTING BATTLE! Always remember that when your battles are like a flood, there is a standard, A RED LINE it cannot cross! We gain strength by overcoming obstacles! John Maxwell said: “A difficult time can be more readily endured if we retain the conviction that our existence holds a purpose.”

So you are going through what you are going through because of this. That perpetual battle is because GOD has a PURPOSE! Close with the popular Og Mandino; “I love the light for it shows me the light, but I love the dark more for it shows me the stars.” Please hold on; no matter how dark it is every storm, there is a rainbow! I hear you shall be called “The Rainbow” generation! Get ready and trust God! Pray now!

TOPIC: HE SAT ON THE STONE -2

BASIC SCRIPTURE: MATTHEW 27 : 45 - 56.

Waldo Emerson once noted that.” Sorrow looks back. Worry looks around. Faith looks up. “Wow! Faith looks up daily! The angel, after rolling away at the stone at the grave of Jesus Christ, sat on it to show the world that your GOD IS CALM, FOCUSED AND IN CHARGE in all situations! He sat, relaxed and without anxiety because your God had shown him that your life will end up in FAVOUR LAND! This is because when Jesus shouted: “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” That is, “My God, my God, why hast Thou forsaken me?”

God forsook Him and WITHDREW His FACE/Favour from JESUS in order for HIM TO SET HIS FACE TOWARDS YOU! That was the day your DIVINE FAVOUR was born! Ah! God turned against His SON in order to focus on you! Always let the stupid devil know that YOU ARE A FAVORED CHILD! THAT IS WHY YOU MUST NOT WORRY OR USE YOUR BRAIN TO IMAGINE HOW YOUR LIFE OR BATTLES WILL END! They will end in HIGH WIRED DIVINE FAVOUR and in this game of life, the REFEREE (Jehovah) WILL RULE IN YOUR FAVOUR! Psalm 5:12 says: “For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous (made righteous because of the cross); with Favour wilt Thou compass him as with a shield.” Then Psalm 30:5 says. “For His anger endureth but a moment (He turned against His Son in anger); in His Favour in life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.”

Psalm 30:7 says: “LORD, by Thy Favour Thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: Thou didst hide Thy face (from His Son)…” Psalm 102:13 is sure “Thou shalt arise, and have mercy Upon Zion: for the time to Favour her, yea, the set time is come.” This is your SET SEASON of DIVINE FAVOUR because He TURNED HIS FACE FROM HIS SON! Use today’s devotional to kill the WORRY BUG! Worry causes stress! Prayer causes peace! Worry less, pray more! Mary Hemingway wrote: “Worry a little bit every day and in a lifetime you will lose a couple years. If something is wrong, fix it if you can but train yourself not to worry.”

Hear this from Francis Chan: “Worry implies that we don’t trust that God is big enough, powerful enough or loving enough to take care of what’s happening in our lives.” Oh! Refuse worry/fear/anxiety! The REFEREE will rule in your FAVOUR at last! Amen!

TOPIC: WHY HE SAT ON THE STONE!

BASIC SCRIPTURE: MATTHEW 28: 1 - 10.

Matthew 28 : 2 says. “And, beholds, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.” Wow! Glory to God! I call it, “OPERATION NO SHAKING” Why did the angel sit on the stone? He was not panicking! He was relaxed as he sat SHOWING THAT HE WAS A MASTER OF THE SITUATION! But by that act, he was also telling the world that JEHOVAH GOD IS STILL IN FULL CONTROL of seen and unseen events! HE IS THE MASTER OF THE UNIVERSE!

Yes! He was telling the world that despite all the earthquakes, darkness and shocking news of dead bodies coming back to life all over the city, etc, GOD WAS IN CONTROL! Use today’s devotional to be reminded that your battles do not make God to PANIC because He knows your END from your BEGINNING! Isaiah 43:21 affirms: “This people have I formed for My sake, they shall praise Me.” Note: THEY SHALL PRAISE ME! Hallelujah! God does not panic because HE KNOWS YOUR BATTLES WILL END IN PRAISE and not in PAIN! You were not created for shame, disgrace, delay, failure, endless tears, etc, You were created for the praise of Jehovah God!

It doesn’t matter what life throws at you or the storms and battles you may be facing, always declare aloud: “SATAN, you are a liar, NO SHAKING! I SHALL NOT WEEP! THIS SHALL END UP IN PRAISE! I SHALL TURN THESE “BROKEN EGGS” TO “DELICIOUS OMELETTES.” Then Psalm 37:37 says your life will end up in PEACE! So the angel was relaxed and sat down because God knows that despite your trials, delays and attacks, etc YOUR LIFE, FAMILY AND MINISTRY WILL END UP IN PEACE!

No matter what is happening right now, 2020 shall end up in peace for your health, job, career, business, marriage and family in Jesus name . Refuse to worry! A wise man said: “Sometimes you have to stop worrying, wondering and doubting. Have faith that things will work out, maybe not how you planned but just how it’s meant to be.” Yes! Look up, because what worries you masters you!

TOPIC : “IMITATE THIS DEAF FROG!

BASIC SCRIPTURE:
JOSHUA 1 : 1-9

A group of frogs were travelling across a forest in search of a pond. While hopping around, two frogs fell into a deep pit. The other frogs gathered around the pit and gave their various advice to the two frogs. As the two frogs tried to jump out of the deep pit, the other frogs from the top discouraged them by describing how impossible it was to jump out. The two frogs chose to ignore their discouraging words and decided to jump out of the pit. They tried very hard and put in all their effort to come out of the pit while the frogs watching from the top kept telling them to give up. In the midst of the rain of negative words, one among them was affected by the discouraging words, and died as it gave up on the struggle to come out of the pit. The other frog continued to jump as hard as it could. After an immense struggle, it finally came out of the pit alive. The other frogs were so surprised and asked how it managed to come up in spite of all the discouraging signs to give up. The brave frog then explained that it was deaf and assumed that everyone was cheering for it! Oh, so funny, but the Holy Ghost wants you to know that people’s words have a significant impact on our lives. He wants you to know that: What you hear is not as important as HOW YOU REACT TO WHAT you hear! BE DEAF TO NEGATIVE WORDS! Today’s scripture Vs. 9 says: “…Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” Yong Kang Chan, in “The Disbelief Habit” opined: “It’s difficult to see your thoughts when you are in your thoughts.” Curtis Tyrone Jones wrote: “Sometimes in order to move the mind forward we must shift its gears out of reverse.” Close with Ernest Agyemang Yeboah: “Stand above negativity! Dare to conquer toxic thoughts!” Be like this deaf frog! I see your life disappointing your haters in Jesus name. Pray seriously now!

TOPIC : “LACK OF KNOWLEDGE IS A POISON.”

BASIC SCRIPTURE: HOSEA 4 : 1-11

It was hilarious in May 2020 during the Coronavirus outbreak when president Donald Trump said: “I see the disinfectant that knocks it (CORONAVIRUS) out in a minute; one minute. And is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside or almost a cleaning? As you see, it gets in the lungs, it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it would be interesting to check that.”

And the world rose in deep anger even though the president fought back saying that he was misunderstood. But his comments came after a presentation suggested that the coronavirus could be killed by disinfectants on surfaces and didn’t survive as long in hot and humid temperatures.

So he was suggesting the use of disinfectants as a possible treatment for CORONAVIRUS! As a pharmacist, I know that disinfectants are chemical agents designed to destroy micro-organisms on inert EXTERNAL surfaces. You are not supposed to drink them and they are not substances made to be in injected into your human body! They are for EXTERNAL USE ONLY! But sanitizers are substances that simultaneously clean and disinfect. Disinfectants kill more germs than sanitizers! Disinfectants are frequently used in hospitals, dental surgeries, kitchens, and bathrooms to kill infectious organisms but are not to be swallowed or injected into the human body.

That statement by President TRUMP prompted Rickitt Benckiser, the maker of a popular disinfectant “Lysol” to issue a warning on its website: “As a global leader in health and hygiene products, we must be clear that under no circumstance should our disinfectant products be administered into the human body.”

And what the Holy Ghost is saying to a USER OF TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL IS THAT YOU MUST SEEK DEEPER AND GREATER KNOWLEDGE this year! A wise man said: “Real knowledge is to know the extent of one’s ignorance.” Note this: WRONG KNOWLEDGE IS AS GOOD AS LACK OF KNOWLEDGE (Today’s scripture). Yes! Wrong information turns you into the same level as an illiterate! Never go to bed without knowing something you never knew yesterday! PURSUE KNOWLEDGE! Know something about everything on planet earth! IGNORANCE IS A KILLER!

TOPIC: MY VASHTI MUST EXPIRE!

BASIC SCRIPTURE: ESTHER 2 : 1-8

Welcome! Indeed, the Holy Ghost wants you to know that YOU DONT KNOW THE FIRST THING ABOUT TOMORROW! So, why WORRY about HOW what He has spoken about you will come to pass? I am sure Esther NEVER Imagined that after the death of her parents, she would be THE QUEEN of the greatest EMPIRE on earth, at that time. This was even more unbelievable because THERE WAS A QUEEN (VASHTI) on the throne!

Vs 1 of today’s scripture says. “After these things, when the wrath of king Ahasuerus was appeased, he remembered VASHTI and what she had done, and what was decreed against her.” Today’s, devotional emphasis is on the Phrase: “HE REMEMBERED VASHTI.” Who was vashti? Vashti was the queen of Shushan, the wife of king Ahasuerus, Vashti turned down the kings order to appear and dance before the king and his guests and give the king honour and pleasure. Wow! Anyway, VASHTI denied the king of his honour and pleasure as such, did not honour the kings invitation. Why did vashti not show up before the king? BECAUSE HER TIME HAD EXPIRED and ESTHERS TIME WAS TO BEGIN! Ah!

Listen: Anybody sitting on your throne will make a mistake that will make them EXPIRE very soon! Yes! Her season to be queen was over according to divine timing, but she was still occupying the throne. As far as God was concerned that throne now belonged to ESTHER! Ah! Her turning down the king was a DIVINE MISTAKE to make her exit from her throne. So the king was angry and “HE REMEMBERED VASHTI, AND WHAT SHE HAD DONE, and what was decreed against her.” I decree DIVINE REMEMBRANCE against destiny killers and wasters!

Yes, in this 14-days fasting programme and beyond, God will remember your haters, mockers and powers blocking your access to your elevation! When God remembers you, He also remembers your Vashti and when God remembers your Vashti, He DEMOTES her and ELEVATES you! Oh! Rise up and pray now!

TOPIC : “THE PETER MIRACLE! THE BATTLES OF THE DEEP!.”

BASIC SCRIPTURE:
LUKE 5 : 1-11

Deep calleth unto deep is grace going into the depth of your troubles, pain and frustrations. It is God’s grace meeting you at the juncture of every battle of your life. Deep battles don’t attract sympathy or empathy because your friends, relations etc, think you are ok. Even when you open up to them, they don’t believe you because they can’t see it on you.

They won’t understand your battle because it is in the deep! But deep battles attract God’s deepest love. Yes, the bigger and deeper the disgrace arrows sent against you, the bigger and deeper the grace of God in your situation. Simon Peter was in a deep mess having toiled all night without result. It was the biggest frustrating fishing experience of his career. Peter was in deep pain and disappointment and was mending his nets to go home.

Jesus asked him to launch into the DEEP for a big catch (Luke 5:4). Jesus was saying; “I know you’ve had a deep battle all through the night, but now launch into the depth of My grace for a tremendous net-breaking catch.” And when Peter obeyed, it was so. And what the Holy Ghost is saying to a user of today’s devotional is that, the DEEP GRACE of God will locate that deep mistake, deep disappointment, deep disgrace, deep shame and deep economic battle and swallow it up because you must be elevated this year.

In Genesis 1: 2, darkness was upon the face of the deep (waters). “Darkness upon the face of the deep,” speaks of a life characterized by turbulence, hopeless situations, stubborn battles and a bleak future. But I love the next line: “And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” Note: “THE SPIRIT OF GOD” moved, hovered, brooded, prevailed, subdued and brought under control and into subjection the void and emptiness. The Spirit of God is the Spirit of Grace. So, grace moved, prevailed and subdued the deep waters (deep battles). And that is what grace will do for you in this second half of this year. You will never end up in the land of shame! Hold on and hold out! Peace!

TOPIC : “GUNNED DOWN IN SIX SECONDS: BE EVER READY!”

BASIC SCRIPTURES: HEBREWS 11 : 32-40,
2 TIMOTHY 1 : 7

There is an old saying that the best form of defence is a good attack! This saying came to the fore in a Sunday church service in the suburbs of Fort Worth, Texas in the United States. A man in a trench coat rose from the pews as the service was ongoing, pulled out a shotgun and opened fire on worshippers in West Freeway Church of Christ. The terrified worshippers had no choice but to dive for cover.

However, within seconds, a volunteer security guard near the back of the church pulled out his own pistol and fired back. One after another, many other church members drew out their own weapons and began to move up the aisles of the church. One woman was exceptionally remarkable; she was in one of the middle pews. She held a handgun and calmly guided terrified members to safety.

As God would have it, the gunman was brought down within six seconds. Be reminded that in 2017, the State of Texas had passed laws allowing armed security details in houses of worship, as well as giving parishioners the right to bring their own weapons to church. Ah! Yes! GUNS IN CHURCH! Shocking times indeed! But what the Holy Spirit is saying to a user of today’s devotional is that you must always be READY TO CONFRONT! ALWAYS BATTLE-READY! Revelation 12: 7-9 tells us that “there was war in heaven…(Verse 7).

Satan’s rebellion was a shocker to many of the angels, but they quickly adjusted and stood up to CONFRONT a friend-turned- enemy! You must be ready to fight, just the way some of the church members did and brought down the gunman.You must pick which battle to fight and which battle to ignore! Years ago, I formed the habit of NOT REPLYING any lie told, written/published by haters against me! But that has changed! I now pick which battle to confront/correct and which to ignore!

This is why you must put on the whole armour of God (Ephesians 6:11) – ALWAYS BATTLE-READY! The church members lived ready; they went to church with their weapons. Wow! You must be spiritually armed always! Jesus lived ready! Every time He encountered demons, He dealt with them instantly. Stop declaring a special fast before you can deal with demons because a secret-sin lifestyle is not an EVER-READY ONE! Be pure! Be watchful and ready daily because Satan can attack from an unexpected angle!

Welcome to this excellent day! Don’t forget yesterday’s devotional story of the man from Bellevue, Nebraska in the United States who saved lives from a drowning car because he was at the right place at the right time! Indeed, God places people in unique places at any point in time to fulfill one purpose or the other on planet. So long as you have been born, you have a mandate from God. NEVER BE SELFISH because YOU WERE NOT CREATED FOR YOURSELF! If you are a man, you are someone’s husband, cousin, father, uncle or Nephew.

If you are a woman you are someone’s wife, mother, Aunty etc. There is someone you were born to help, serve, help, minister or influence. He equally brings opportunities/people your way to fulfill such purposes. Victor Frank quipped, “Everyone’s task is unique as his specific opportunity to implement it.” This was the case of Esther in today’s scripture. Her uncle, Mordecai, recognizes that she was Gods instrument in the palace in Shushan to save lives of the Jews, hence he said to her in Verse 14 “For if thou altogether boldest thy peace at this time, then shall enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place, but thou and thy fathers house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come into the kingdom for such a time as this.”

Note the words: SUCH A TIME AS THIS! May you not miss Gods divine timing for your destiny! When you miss the time, you miss the purpose! May you be at the right place at the right time! May the lord give you a second chance to restore lost timings of the past! Like the man in yesterday’s story, you are uniquely placed where you are today to help somebody one way or the other . The man set out to take pictures of eagles, but he ended up as a hero who saved three lives (3 human “eagles”). May you recognize your opportunities and fulfill them this second half of 2020. TOPIC : “THE NEBRASKA HERO: YOU ARE THERE FOR A REASON -1”

A man was out taking pictures of eagles on a Sunday afternoon in Bellevue, Nebraska in the Unites States when he witnessed a white Sedan (car) containing 3 men which lost control while crossing railroad tracks. The vehicle struck a fire hydrant (big container where water is stored to put out fire) and then landed upside down in an ice-cold pond.

According to ABC News Omaha affiliate station, KETV, the man said, “The car just came right in front of me; they hit the fire hydrant and I don’t think they even touched the ground. They were airborne”. The man heard the occupants screaming for help and he immediately jumped into action. He panicked when he heard the voice of one of them say, “Get me out, it’s filling full of water”. But he overcame his initial fear, took a dive into the freezing water and managed to pull one of the car doors open. Immediately he did, water started gushing out of the car.

The man who screamed for help started making his way out of the car. He pulled him and got him out. He pulled another man out, and thereafter pulled another. Gradually, he got the three men out of the overturned and submerged vehicle. The man who was later hailed as a hero for saving the lives of these three men, said he would always look back at the pictures he took that day and be thankful because his timing was right and that he was lucky to be in the right place at the right time.

Wow! Yes, God puts people at the right place at the right time. Everyone on earth is here for a purpose. No one is an extra or excess human being. Abhijit Naskar reasoned thus, “Without purpose, we are just good- looking animals.” Life is a place of interconnectivity! You were created to be an answer to someone’s prayer, just like Moses was to Israel (today’s scripture), Prophet Samuel was to Hannah, and John the Baptist was to Zacharias and Elizabeth, etc.

Let the devil know daily that you are not useless! You are someone’s BUNDLE OF JOY and someone was made to be your BUNDLE of JOY! Ah! All life is interconnectivity and don’t forget: “Without purpose, we are just good-looking animals.” Pray now!

TOPIC : “THE PUPPY THIEF: OH LORD, LET THEIR PLANS BACKFIRE!”

A few months ago, a very funny but intriguing incident happened in Brampton, Canada. Someone owned an American bulldog named Tarzan. When this beautiful dog was just 9 weeks old, the owner took a decision to sell it and make some money.
Through a buying-and-selling website, he met someone who wanted to buy it. They agreed on a place to meet. The owner of the dog arrived at the agreed meeting place but unknown to him, the would-be buyer had other plans. The buyer showed up, they both had some conversation, and the dog owner decided to hand over the dog to the buyer. Unknown to him the buyer had a gun on him; while he handed over the puppy, the buyer refused to pay and pointed a gun in his face. He then ran off with the dog without paying for it. As he ran off, he accidentally shot himself in the leg, causing him to fall to the ground. The owner of the dog called the police, who tracked down the dog thief and arrested him.

He was given first-aid treatment and taken to hospital. A government-issued 45- calibre Colt handgun was recovered from the area and the puppy was returned unharmed to its owner. The 20 year-old suspected dog thief was charged to court with robbery and firearm related offences following the incident.

What the Holy Ghost is saying to a user of today’s devotional is to remind you that in this 2nd half of 2020, NO WICKED PLAN AGAINST YOU SHALL PROSPER! God told father Abraham: “And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee” (Genesis 12:3a). He says in His Word, “They shall surely gather together, but not by me” (Isaiah 54:15). The New Living Translation puts it this way, “If any nation comes to fight you, it is not because I sent them.” Wow! They shall return to their sender! Halleluyah!

Listen: Those who plan to harm/hurt you shall fall! They shall shoot themselves! Today’s Word from the Book of Proverbs is so clear on this, “Whoso diggeth a pit shall fall therein: and he that rolleth a stone, it will return upon him.” I decree today, in line with the Word of God for today, that every evil plan of the enemy against your life shall backfire in Jesus name. Every handwriting against your life and ministry will catch fire! Colossians 2:14 says that the handwriting of the enemy has been rendered null and void by the cross of Christ.

Therefore, this day and henceforth in 2020, every negative plan/writing against you is rendered OVERRULED, null and void! Like the Psalmist said today, the Lord will not grant their desires; burning coals shall fall upon them, they shall fall into the pits they have dug and rise no more (Psalm 140:8 & 10). Be ready to learn from others! God can use even a child to speak to you. Did He not use a donkey to speak to a prophet? Catch this guiding principle of my life:

“You are called to greatness but sometimes the greater place God calls you to is where less people will see you.” I call it the NEST PHASE of greatness! It is phase where God HIDES you from the crowd while He is moulding you into His Vessel. Many people want to be seen in churches! Others want to be heard! Indeed, some want the pastor to praise them. REFUSE TO BE AMONG them, because God builds His great GENERALS in SILENCE! Most people who fight for positions in churches are empty vessels – NOISE MAKERS and God hardly anoints them. That was why He hid Moses for 40 years before using him to paralyze Pharaoh.

That was why He INCUBATED Apostle PAUL FOR 11 YEARS before using him to open a new chapter of the gospel in human history! God does not make His men in the crowd. Psalm 149: 4 says: “For the LORD taketh pleasure in His people: He will beautify (crown) the meek (the humble) with salvation.” No wonder the most beautiful/popular “KING-SIZED” BED in all history is the little MANGER of BETHLEHEM! Be Humble!

DESTINY also means “His PURPOSE EVEN BEFORE YOU WERE BORN.” Destiny is something that you never wished for, or desired, yet it is happening. As of that, the first event is your birth. Does anybody desire his or her own birth or place of birth, sex at birth, colour, etc? Did you desire your birth in winter or summer? Did Graca Machel (Mrs) plan to become Graca Mandela (Mrs)? That is destiny at work! Graca Machel, a 74 year-old Mozambican politician and humanitarian, is the only woman in the world that became the first lady of two different countries. Her first husband was the former president of Mozambique, Samora Machel, whom she married in 1975. She became a widow in 1986 when Samora died in a mysterious plane crash inside the South African border. Grace would later marry former South African president, Nelson Mandela, and spend 15 years together with him as husband and wife before the anti-apartheid hero died in 2013. THE RIGHT PATH TO GREENER PASTURES

Following the release of Mandela from prison in 1990, Grace was usually seen around the freedom fighter. The wedding between Graca and Mandela took place on Mandela’s 80th birthday, July 18th, 1996. This made her the only woman in the world to be the first lady of two different countries. Hear her: “It’s not two leaders who fell in love with me, but two real people. TOPIC : “LORD, MAKE ME A SHOULDER!”

BASIC SCRIPTURE:
HOSEA 6 : 4 - 11

An old man once told the story of how, as a young man, his mother used to ask him: “WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF YOUR BODY?” Through the years, he would take a guess at what he thought was the correct answer. First time, his answer was: “THE EARS.” The mother replied: “No. Many people are deaf. But you keep thinking about it and I will ask you again soon.” Several years passed before she asked him again.

His second answer was: “MY EYES.” The mother told him: “You are learning fast, but the answer is not correct because there are many people who are blind.” Then one year, his father died. Everybody was hurt. Everybody was crying. Then the mother looked at me at the graveside and when it was their turn to say their final good-bye to his father, she asked him, “Do you know the most important body part yet, my son?” He was shocked when she asked him by the graveside. The mother said to him: “Don’t be confused or shocked. This question is very important now and it shows that you have really lived in your life.

For every body part you gave me in the past, I have told you that you were wrong and I have given you an example why. But today is the day you need to learn this important lesson.” Then the mother looked down at him and threw her head to his shoulder and hugged him. With tears in her eyes, she said, “My son, the most important body part of your body is your shoulder.” Wow! This young man was then forced to ask: “Mum, is it because it holds up my head?” She replied, “No, it is because it can hold the head of a friend or a loved one when they cry. Everybody needs a shoulder to cry on sometime in life. I only hope that you have enough love and friends that you will always have a shoulder to cry on when you need it.”

There and then this young man knew that the most important body part is not a selfish one. It is made for others and not for yourself. It is sympathetic to the pain of others. Oh glory! What a lesson as you go out today! The Holy Ghost is reminding you that: People will forget what you said. People will forget what you did. But people will NEVER forget how you made them feel in their crisis times. Good friends are like stars. You don’t always see them, but you always know them when they are around you. No wonder a wise man said: “IF YOU WANT TO BE WISELY SELFISH, CARE FOR OTHERS.” Yes! It will come back to you because Hosea 6: 11 says: “…there is a harvest appointed for you.” Be a shoulder daily!

BASIC SCRIPTURE: NUMBERS 16:1 - 35.

A man was stranded on the island, also for a number of years. Finally he was located and some people came ashore to rescue him . Before they took him off the island, he showed them around. He took them to his hut and said, This is the church I built with my own 2 hands.” Then someone in the group said, “Hey, what’s that building over there? and the man quietly replied: “That’s where I used to go to church.

“And that man’s story is the story of many lives ! Most people can point to their cars, their kids, their pets and about A DOZEN CHURCHES THEY USED TO ATTEND! This isn’t always bad because there are times when God would have you move on, take your gifts, abilities , resources and energy and use them to serve another body of believers or start NEW WORK which should be done peacefully except when you are resisting evil in a church like Martin Luther did! Always stand for God and for good! But too often, rebellion (THE KORAH SPIRIT of “I can be a leader also” today’s scripture), quarrels, selfishness, pride, unforgiveness, fault-finding, competition greed, etc are the reasons why people keep changing churches.

This is wrong! Always remember this: Satan’s policy is to DIVIDE and conquer! Resist him! I remember an Ethiopian Proverb: “When spiders unite, they can tie down a lion.” So true! I read about a church where there was division and it began over an argument about SALAD at a love feast. A lady brought a congealed salad she had made with Cool Whip instead of real whipping cream and there were various factions concerning that SALAD. Wow! Satan is a bastard! Ah! Do you know that some churches have been divided over whether the pianist should sit on the right or left side of the altar? Yes, some churches have been divided over whether the Lord’s Supper should be served from the front to the back or the back to the front! Laughable, but SATAN MEANS BUSINESS – to dilute the church and steal your power! DIVISION is a POWER BLOCKER! One church split over who was the real pastor. They had two pastors. Two groups thought they each had their own pastor and both of them got up to lead a service one Sunday. Both led the singing. Both groups tried to out-sing each other. Then both pastors started preaching, trying to out-preach each other. Finally, they just broke out into fisticuffs, and the police had to come in and break it up. That was from Landover, Maryland, August 1999. Oh God! Father, heal Your church again! All for one and one for all, united we stand divided we fall! And the great Hans Urs von Balthasar noted: “Even if a unity of faith is not possible, a unity of love is.” Be a UNITY AGENT WHEREVER YOU GO TODAY! Forgive! Have you ever heard the story of the guy who could not decide which side he wanted to fight for during his country’s Civil War? He put on the coat of the North and the trousers of the South, and guess what? He was shot at from both sides! This is what happens to the compromiser, the person who tries to live in two worlds. It’s one miserable place to be. Sadly, there are many in the church today that live a compromised life. One price of compromise is DIVISION. Remember the story of the United Methodist Church which is reported to be the 3rd largest religious denomination in the United States. The church was ready to split into more than one denomination due to GAY MARRIAGE CONTROVERSY! Yes indeed, one little COMPROMISE leads to another! Apostle Paul warned against this in his letter to the Corinthian church. Hear him, “Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment” (1 Cor.1:10). My MASTER, Jesus Christ, said in today’s Word, “And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand” (Mark 3:25). Now catch this hidden truth: SATAN FEARS THE UNITY of the church or FAMILY! TOPIC: A COMPROMISED ARMY IS A DEFEATED ARMY!

BASIC SCRIPTURE: 1JOHN 2: 1 - 11; REVELATION: 2 : 12 - 16

The United Methodist Church is reported to be the third largest religious denomination in the United States. Now the church is ready to split into more than one denomination due to GAY MARRIAGE CONTROVERSY and among the only remaining one of such churches. The United Methodists church is the largest mainline Pentecostal denomination and among the only remaining of such churches that do not still perform gay marriages. The church has fought bitterly about LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) inclusion for years and leaders often feared that the fight would lead to division!

But in early January 2020 some leaders of the church announced that they had agreed to abandon a “traditionalist Methodist” denomination which would continue to oppose gay marriage as well as the ordination of LGBT clergy. The church will now allow those who do not follow the “traditional Methodist” denomination to go with same sex marriage and LGBT Clergy! Oh, my God! Strange would you say, great would you say but never forget one the strategy of satan is for us to have a compromising church. He knows a compromising church is a defeated church! The Bible give us an example in Revelation 2 of such a church! It was THE CHURCH AT PERGAMOS!

Located in the Pergamum, the former capital of Asia Minor, known for its Idol worship, pergamum housed the ALTAR OF ZEUS and was the center of Caesar worship. Sexual immorality, open wickedness, coldness to God, Idolatry, etc were common place. The sin of Pergamum was in COMPROMISE and TOLERANCE of Evil. The great bishop preacher, Campbell Morgan penned. “It’s a remarkable thing that the church of Christ persecuted has been the church of Christ the pure” On the other hand, the church of Christ patronized has been the church of Christ impure”. TOPIC: “CORONAVIRUS: HE LOST $660,000,000 IN 5 HOURS!”

BASIC SCRIPTURE: REVELATION 22 : 13 -21

Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, lost more than N240 billion (about $660,000, 000 – six hundred and sixty million dollars) in just five hours as the effect of the coronavirus slammed the Stock Exchange – a few hours after the World Health Organization (WHO) declared CORONAVIRUS a pandemic in March this year. A pandemic is a disease that is spreading in multiple countries around the world at the same time. Dangote Cement is Nigeria’s most capitalized quoted company and accounts for more than 20 per cent of the total market capitalization/stock exchange. Wow! A small, unseen virus “swallowed up” over 600 million dollars! “Expensive” virus indeed! During that period also, the Pope CLOSED ALL CATHOLIC CHURCHES in Rome and asked people to stay at home to monitor church services. Also, all universities and schools were closed in Canada. Most global sports events were canceled or ordered to be played in EMPTY stadiums. In the USA, investors suffered a total loss of $1.41 trillion in three days to the pandemic which was wreaking havoc across the world. The USA also declared a NATIONAL EMERGENCY and banned many countries from visiting the USA! France suspended flights between it and Italy till April 3rd because of the pandemic. In Nigeria, two people, including an Italian, who was the index case, were in quarantine. Six others comprising four children, their teacher and another person were in isolation. What a VIRUS! Small but deadly! Italy was the worst hit country in Europe with over 890 deaths and over 16 million people were quarantined there! Markets in Asia and indeed all over the world also nose-dived as people rushed into PANIC BUYING to stockpile food items! Lots of schools were closed worldwide and flights cancelled! My flight from where I was, was also canceled! This SMALL VIRUS, claimed many lives in China (the genesis of this disease) and Iran even as the terrible LITTLE virus (WITHOUT A VISITING VISA), spread to Germany, South Korea, New Zealand, Belarus, Ghana, Gabon, South Africa and Lithuania, etc. And what the Holy Ghost wants you to know is that IF THIS LITTLE UNKNOWN VIRUS can cause this great HAVOC, LOSSES and PAIN worldwide, then you must also take heed of the LITTLE FOXES that can SPOIL your destiny vine! Your vine is your life and it is not the “BIG ELEPHANTS” or tall “GIRAFFES” that can disgrace you, but the LITTLE INCONSEQUENTIAL FOXES. That little habit can delay or destroy you! That little anger can become your Promised LAND stopper! That little lie can wipe out your name from the Book of Life – See Revelation 22:15 – “For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers…and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.” Note: A LIE! Not LIES! A LIE! That five minutes of sexual pleasure can become your LAND OF REGRETS! Yes! Pay attention to the small details, habits, words, relationships, etc, of your life! Hear Charles Comiskey: “It is the small things in life which count; it is the inconsequential leak which empties the biggest reservoir.” It is a little leaven – YEAST – that can damage a batch of sweet bread. Learn! (1 Corinthians 5:6). Learn!

Ecclesiastes 4:4 says: “Again, I considered all travail, and every right work, that for this a man is envied of his neighbour. This is also vanity and vexation of spirit.” Did you get that? The scripture (see the underlined above) is saying that your hard work and your success (all travail, and every right work) will ATTRACT ENVY! Solomon was saying that he came to discover that every TRAVAIL (SACRIFICE) and right work (HARD WORK) only ends up turning you into an ENEMY of your neighbours! That means the more you rise in life and ministry, the more ENEMIES or ENVY you attract! THE BLESSING ATTRACTS THE BEAST! That is why you must know that NOT EVERYONE is HAPPY with you and you cannot PLEASE EVERYONE! In fact, once you begin to rise, your ELEVATION ATTRACTS “ENVY-LATION.” Pardon my use of the word “ENVY-LATION.” It is from my “ODM colloquial informal dictionary” – Laugh aloud! Yes! Once you begin to rise and rise, be ready to change. STOP TELLING YOUR SECRETS to those you once called FRIENDS because your RISING will turn them to SECRET PLOTTERS OF YOUR DOWNFALL! No wonder Proverbs 27:4 says: “Wrath is cruel, and anger is outrageous; but who is able to stand before envy?” Anger is terrible, but WHO IS ABLE TO STAND BEFORE ENVY? NOBODY! Another name for envy is – THE FIST OF FURY! That means, anger is a “little boy” compared to ENVY! That also means, ENVY is the father/ mother of all deadly sins! Yes! Few men have the natural strength to honor a friend’s success without envy. So as you pray to be ELEVATED, CELEBRATED and DECORATED, be ready for the ENVY and WARS that come with it! Be wise! Trust nobody! Increase your prayer/fasting fire and live holy! No weapon fashioned against you shall prosper because when God gives a PROMOTION, He also sends THE PROTECTION! Fear not! Pray now!

Please share with me again another great report concerning your God. “Praise God sir. Kindly share with me this testimony. On the 10th of May 2020, we were asked to sow a seed for the purchase of air conditioners for the Manna Mountain. In fact, I came across that prophetic instruction three times in Our Daily Manna. That last one troubled my spirit and I was not at rest. As soon as I was through with my devotion on that day, I called my son and told him to transfer money to the Manna Account. As soon as I did that, I knelt down and prayed to God that He should prove to me that He was still on the throne because we had a pressing need as a family and my husband asked me to pray that God should open a way. To the glory of God, THAT SAME DAY that I sowed the seed, the LORD blessed me with money and that pressing need of the family was answered by the LORD who made a way for us. Indeed there is power in every prophetic instruction by a genuine man of God. Thank you papa for blessing me. I am also using the Prophetic Prayer Psalms/Declarations sent to me after I sowed and I believe that many more testimonies are coming my way. Glory be to God! The great A.W. Tozer penned: “As base a thing as money often is, yet it can be transmuted into everlasting treasure. It can be converted into food for the hungry and clothing for the poor. It can keep a missionary actively winning lost men to the light of the gospel and thus transmute itself into heavenly values. Any temporal possession can be turned into everlasting wealth. Whatever is given to Christ is immediately touched with immortality.”

Oh welcome! Remember again: You are called to greatness but sometimes the greater place God calls you to is where less people will see you! One of the secrets of DAVID WAS THAT NOBODY KNEW HIM. God hid him and prepared him in the bushes and not in the camera frontline! One of the greatest secrets of ATTRACTING GRACE is HUMILITY, because it RESISTS (fights) the PROUD! I remember when I just got born again in 1976, I told the LORD: Don’t make me popular or to be seen! All I pray for is: USE ME! USE ME and USE ME! I vow never to share the glory with You and I vow never to seek the limelight.” At that time, He told me to join the SANITATION department of anywhere I was – in churches and camp meetings. I cleaned toilets while others were seeking the pulpit. I took pleasure in sweeping the church auditorium on Saturdays (unseen) while others were contending to sit down in the front row on Sundays! There was a period in my life where I was in the security and traffic department of the church where I worshipped. I never stepped into the church services for over a year! I complained, but my PAPA GOD told me: SHUT UP and STAY THERE! My joy was that I took care of the safety of other people’s cars! But today, I am what I am by His grace! Today, I am tired of the limelight and I even avoid places where people will see me at airports, etc, because I have become known worldwide! Ah! If you want to go far in life and ministry, don’t seek to be seen! Seek to allow Him to be seen through you! Ignore insults! Don’t keep malice or grudges! Forgive fast! Don’t fight for visible/public positions! Seek to serve in quiet positions until God chooses to announce you HIMSELF. Welcome to another devotional hour with the CONSUMING FIRE! It was Nick DiNardo who opined that: “Like a sculptor chipping away at the marble, adversity is what chips and crafts us into who we are and what we become.” Now catch this: All the bitter battles I have passed through have always led to my INCREDIBLE PROMOTION/GROWTH! I mean ALL!

I cannot explain it! Since I was born, I have NEVER gone to my next level without a battle that is SEVERE AND BITTER which seems to be impossible! Never! I had even died in a village river at the age of 8. I drowned and was “declared dead,” but was revived back to life by a Shell Company staff who came to wash his car by the riverside. But I am ALIVE TODAY FOR DESTINY’S sake!

Do you know that before this ODM VISION was discovered, I attempted suicide? Yes! That was over 28 years ago and I was devastated as a young man, by someone who walked out of my life. ODM was born from that crisis! It was so painful that I decided to die!Your God may not choose the EASY way for you, but He will make sure you NEVER end up in shame! Also note this: When the LORD passes you through the LONG and HARD route, He deals with anyone that raises a finger against you.

I have seen people run mad or suffer irreversible demotion because they fought against me or lied against me. The wickedness of the wicked cannot last forever! Psalm 125:3 cannot lie – “For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.”God will never allow the wicked to prevail so that you don’t run to Egypt (other sources) for help! Ah! I have seen people who have hurt me badly, send for me in their hospital beds as they were dying.

Yes! Also, I have been called to bury some people who lied against me many years ago. It was pathetic! This is a world where men can “manufacture” FALSE EVIDENCE AGAINST YOU. In the case of JOSEPH, the evidence was true, but the story was false! I have been through that many times. Oh, enough of my story!

The LORD just wanted to let you know that hardships often prepare ordinary people for extraordinary duties because He is like the SCULPTOR/ POTTER busy working on your life! Psalm 34:19 says, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivered him out of them all.”You will be delivered out of them ALL! ALL is ALL! Hold on and hold out! Pray seriously now.

TOPIC : “I WISH THE JOURNEY WAS SHORTER…EASIER!.”

BASIC SCRIPTURES: EXODUS 13 : 17-22

It was Epictetus who said: “The greater the difficulty, the more glory in surmounting it. Skilful pilots gain their reputation from storms and tempests.” Exodus 13:17 says, “And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, ‘Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt.”

So God did not lead the Jews through the NEARER or EASIER ROUTE! He chose a longer and more dangerous route! Wow! What a God! He does allow some hard storms in order to train your arms to war. Oh! In this my lifetime, I have seen wars and storms! I am the only pastor in my country that have been taken to court by someone who claimed that she fell at our WORLD ANOINTING NIGHT service which held at our National Stadium.

She claimed 25 million naira (62, 500 dollars) for 7 teeth she claimed she had broken at the stadium! Yet, I never knew her from Adam. Also, maybe I am the only pastor too, whose phone had deliberately been hijacked/taken away and hacked by those I trusted to handle it while I was ministering on the altar.

That was trust betrayed bitterly! It was later discovered that, that wicked operation was masterminded in a 3-year plan by a syndicate of four people – a male journalist, a male lawyer, a female staff who handled our videos/ extracts from my working phone sometimes for Sunday screen teachings, and a deacon. They cloned my voice and said that unless I gave them my house and 200 million naira (about 500, 000 dollars), they would scandalize my name through various fabrications using my cloned voice. In fact, they started the process in order to show me how serious they were! I was in shock but quickly alerted the police!

The police gave my security team devices to record their demands and threats! Thank God, they were arrested and sent to court/jail till they were bailed. Oh, space and time would fail me to mention various other harsh betrayals and bitter disappointments from wicked souls. I have been lied against and there is NOTHING that has not been written or said about me by envious enemies! Ah! Many times, I cry out to God and wish that my pathway to greatness was EASY! But we don’t choose our crosses! They choose us!

TOPIC : “EVERYTHING IS CREATED TWICE! HOLD ON!.”

BASIC SCRIPTURES: PROVERBS 23 : 7
JOHN 2 : 1-11

So many people give up on their dreams, goals or ambitions because they are ignorant of the “GESTATION SEASON” required to manifest the very things they seek. They think just because they have put in all their energy, resources and time, etc, and nothing seems to be happening, then their dreams are dead! No! No! No! Don’t give up!

Note that at the beginning, when you plan anything, your idea has just taken root in the soil of creation! YOUR THOUGHTS ARE THE FIRST SOIL OF CREATION! All they need is the sustenance provided by sustained action and focused effort. Given enough time, the ‘initial growth’ or signs of growth of their ideas will break through the soil, and manifest in their physical world.

So, the secret to success is simply this; “Ideas held in mind reproduce after their kind.” If you keep the thing you want to be, do or have fixated on the screen of your mind, and align your actions with what you think you need to do for these things to manifest, then your idea must move into physical form. If you keep on keeping on, if you keep persisting when everybody around you is quitting, then ultimately you will be, do or have ANYTHING you desire.

Proverbs 23: 7 says: “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.”The thinking is the first creation. The manifestation is the 2nd creation. Every seed has a gestation period, and every seed is different. Therefore gestation periods differ depending on the type of seed that is sown. We can understand this concept when we apply it to physical seeds. We know the gestation period for a human baby is 280 days, 49 days for a carrot or 135 days for a potato.

What we fail to realize is that our ideas are also seeds, that must move into tangible form. I repeat: Everything is created twice; everything was a thought before it became a thing! Sowing goes before reaping! So, refuse to give up now! Keep seeing the goals! Keeping seeing the NEW WINE! Keeping seeing your destination because delayed WINE does not mean denied WINE!

TOPIC : “BEAUTIFIED DUST IN LIFE’S SUPER CINEMA!.”

BASIC SCRIPTURES: EZEKIEL 28 : 11- 19

It was Leo Tolstoy who penned: “Perfection is impossible without humility. Why should I strive for perfection, if I am already good enough?” And that was the mistake of LUCIFER as an ARCHANGEL! He forgot that perfection was impossible without humility!

He also forgot that despite his glory and beauty, he was an ordinary created being like any other! He thought he was already good enough! Ah! Just imagine how he was created – today’s scripture. Verse 12 says the fullness of wisdom and the perfection of beauty was in him. Verse 13 says he was the first occupant of the GARDEN OF EDEN and he was decorated with every precious stone ever created.

It says “every precious stone was thy covering.” Wow! He was perfectly built! Verse 13 also says “the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.” That means ALL MUSICAL EQUIPMENTS WERE BUILT IN HIM. He was a one-man choir – the best soloist in heaven! Oh my God! No wonder he fell into PRIDE! May God keep far from you the blessing or blessings that will sink your faith! Verse 14 describes LUCIFER as “…the anointed cherub that covereth.”

HE WAS ANOINTED! Yes! Satan understands what the ANOINTING CAN DO! He knows that the ANOINTING is his bitter water! He will do all he can to keep you DRY without the anointing or he will keep you FULL OF PRIDE if you are anointed or blessed! Lastly Verse 15 says: “Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.” He was perfect till SIN was found in him! May the LORD not find LUCIFER’S iniquity in you!

That sin/iniquity is called PRIDE! Oh, as 2020 skips out of the pain of CORONAVIRUS, always remember that something that can destroy you faster than the CORONAVIRUS is the VIRUS OF PRIDE! Hear Bill Gates (Microsoft): “Success is a lousy teacher. It seduces smart people into thinking they can’t lose.” Then Martin Luther penned: “True humility does not know that it is humble.

If it did, it would be proud from the contemplation of so fine a virtue.” Close with Lao Tzu: “I have three precious things which I hold fast and prize. The first is gentleness; the second is frugality; the third is humility, which keeps me from putting myself before others. Be gentle and you can be bold; be frugal and you can be liberal; avoid putting yourself before others and you can become a leader among men.” Always remember LUCIFER! Be humble or you will stumble because you are just a piece of beautified DUST in the vanity super cinema called LIFE!
