TOPIC : THE DRAMA OF THE SILVERSMITH!

BASIC SCRIPTURES: MALACHI 3: 1 - 6;
PSALM 121: 4



A group of women were in a Bible Study on the book of Malachi. As they were studying chapter three, they came across verse three, which says: “He will sit as a refiner and Came of silver.” This verse puzzled the women and they wondered what this statement meant about the character and nature of God. One of the women offered to find out about the process of refining silver and get back to the group at their next Bible Study. That week, this woman called up a Silversmitn and made an appointment to watch him at work. She didn’t mention anything about the reason for her interest beyond her curiosity about the process of refining silver. As she watched the silversmith, he held a piece o silver over the fire and let it heat up. He explained that in refining silver, one needed to hold the silver in the middle of the fire where the flames were hottest so as to burn away all the impurities. The woman thought about God holding us in such a hot spot; then she thought again about the verse, that “He Sits as a purifiner and purifier of silver.” She asked the silversmith if it was true that he had to sit there in front of the fire the whole time the silver was being refined. The man answered saying, he not only had to sit there holding the silver, but he had to keep his eyes on the silver the entire time it was in the fire. If the silver was left a moment too long in the flames, it would be destroyed. The woman was silent for a moment. Then she asked the silversmith, “How do you know when the silver is fully refined?” He smiled at her and answered, “oh, that’s easy- when I see my image in it.” If today you are feeling the heat of the fire, remember that God has His eye on you and will keep watching you until He sees His image in you.

Note this: God is BUILDING YOU even when it seems He is BREAKING YOU! The STRUGGLES make you stronger! The LORD is bigger than the giants you face! Remember that God did not remove the RED SEA; He OPENED IT. God will always MAKE A WAY out of every battle you face. He is the “SILVERSMITH” that sits to watch you WALKTHROUGH and not RUN THROUGH in fear! You will never end up in shame! Hold on and hold out to HIM!

TOPIC : GOD HAS OVER 7 BILLION REPLACEMENTS OF YOU! STAY HUMBLE!

BASIC SCRIPTURES:
1 KINGS 19: 9 - 18;
JAMES 4: 7

Ahithophel was nearly compared to God when he gave counsel. Ahithophel was from the land of GILEAD where there was balm for healing. But the balm of Gilead COULD NOT HEAL HIM. Yes! He felt that because he was so wise, the country could not do without him. Absalom thought that because he was the most handsome, biological son of David and the logical heir to the throne, HE was indispensable! Don’t forget that they both committed suicide” and LIFE CONTINUED WITHOUT THEM! One day, Elijah said to God that he was the only person singing or working in the kingdom for God or church (you know where you fall into) and God said to him (Paraphrased): “SHUT UP! Don’t let pride rob you of your upcoming chariots of fire. I have reserved 7000 people who can do the job better than you after your departure. That fact that I chose you does not mean that you are indispensable!” Wow! Indeed, airs of importance are the credentials of impotence!
Pray now: 1. “O Lord, don’t let me ever think that without me, the church where I and my family worship now will come to a standstill.

2. I surrender all to You and die of self.

3. Take me back to the cross and remold me by fire.

4. Shake away and take away every smell of PRIDE from me in Jesus’ name.

I remember Soren Kierkegaard: “The proud person always wants to do the right thing, the great thing. But because he wants to do it in his own strength, he is fighting not with man, but with God.” Yea! Very true! Listen: If you leave that department in your church or even the church, you will be the one to suffer it (except the LORD led you to). Don’t forget that when Satan, the highest Archangel left heaven, he wasn’t missed till today. God’s work is bigger than you billion times. Yes, He can replace you with any of the over 7 billion souls on earth today! Stop feeling proud. Let your motives be right in all you do! You are not too important. God by His grace decided to use you or keep you alive. So don’t let pride cause you to move from the palace to the forest like His Excellency, King Nebuchadnezzar. He became His Excellency to animals and wild beasts! Don’t be the next Nebuchadnezzar, Absalom or Ahithophel.

TOPIC : THINK COMMUNITY! DISCOVER YOUR HARVEST 2.

BASIC SCRIPTURE:
RUTH 1:12 - 22

Vs 20-21 says: “And she said unto them, Call me not Naomi, call me Mara: for the Almighty hath dealt very bitterly with me.” Note: VERY BITTERLY! Not just bitter but VERY BITTER! That was enough to push her into a SELFISH and INCONSIDERATE PERSON! She was an unhappy and bitter woman. NO matter how 2020 has been, please refuse to give up on your virtues of KINDNESS and COMMUNITY thinking! Even if you were betrayed by a loved one, please still LOVE AGAIN! Even if you were hurt by others, please still think of others! Don’t let the events you have been through to stop the goodness in you! People have lied against me and I decided to leave my country for good Because I thought it was all done out of envy! There was a season I TRUSTED NOBODY because those you trusted, either stole or ganged up with extortioners/blackmailers to hurt my name, My son was once kidnapped! I was once sued to court by a lady I never knew from Adam. She said she broke her teeth at one of the annual WORLD ANOINTING NIGHTS which attracts hundreds of thousands. She demanded for 25 million naira about 63,000 dollars) to enable her fix her broken teeth. How was I Supposed to know what happened to about 500, 000 people who came for that programme? How am I even sure she was there? Oh God! Later, I heard from the grapevine that she was sent by some envious pastors and gangsters. I was shocked! So I was very bitter and decided to relocate from my country! But despite everything, the LORD told me never to be bitter because it would block my harvest season! Ah! See Vs. 22-“So Naomi returned, and Ruth the Moabitess, her daughter in law with her, which returned out of the country of Moab: and they came to Bethlehem in the beginning of barley harvest.”

THEY RETURNED IN THE HARVEST SEASON! When you refuse to be SELFISH, REVENGEFUL or BITTER, God announces your HARVEST! Just before your HARVEST, there will be HASSLES! But the secret of moving into your harvest (reward) season is by putting others first. Let God fight your battles! They returned to Bethlehem (the house of bread) in the beginning of the barley harvest because Ruth was thinking of NAOMI and NAOMI was thinking of Ruth! Ruth later located her life partner because SHE PUT NAOMI FIRST- COMMUNITY THINKING! She later became the great grandmother of the Messiah through the OBED-DAVID-JESUS LINEAGE! community thinking provokes your celebration/harvest season! Resist bitterness or depression! This world will celebrate you soon! Hold on and hold out!

TOPIC: THE LORD IS ALSO A “MONITORING SPIRIT”

BASIC SCRIPTURES:
2 CHRONICLES 16: 9; Psalm 121:1 - 8

Today’s first scripture Vs. 9 Says: For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew Himself strong on behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward Him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.” The Holy Ghost wants you to know that your FATHER GOD iS also a “MONITORING SPIRIT.” Wow! Satan walks TO and FRO the earth, in an attempt to COPY your God! Your God JEHOVAH does not sleep nor slumber! His eyes are always open to PROTECT AND PRESERVE YOU! His EYES run To and FROM the earth to MANIFEST HIMSELF to enemies who MESS around with you and go Scot free! He will teach them that: “IT IS NOT VAIN TO SERVE THE LORD.” He will use your life to show that HE IS A REWARDER of them who DILIGENTLY SEEK/SERVE HIM.

That is why Psalm 121:3 says: “He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: He that keepeth thee wilt not slumber.” HE DOES NOT SLEEP because HE IS MONITORING your life and ministry for good! He does not sleep nor slumber because HE IS JEALOUS OVER YOU! Have you forgotten that you are so important to God that He sent HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON to suffer and die for you? Jesus Christ would have still died on that scary cross even if you were the only soul on planet earth! Oh, thank you my GREAT “MONITORING SPIRIT.” No wonder not even a strand of your hair would fall without His knowledge! See Psalm 121:6 “The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.” HE DOES NOT SLEEP because HE IS MONITORING your life, family and ministry from forces that use the sun and the moon to curse generations! HE DOES NOT SLEEP BECAUSE HE MONITORS EVERY MONITORING DEMONIC SPIRIT so that Psalm 121:7 can come to pass in your life: “The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: He shall preserve thy soul.” Amen and amen. Pray seriously now!

Welcome to today’s devotional encounter with the God of times and seasons! Ruth I: 11 says: “And Naomi said,Turn again, my daughters: why will ye go with me? Are there yet any more sons in my womb, that they may be your husbands?” Note the words: “TURN AGAIN.” She was putting the interest of the two women first! The Lord is speaking to you today about the secret of community thinking pulting others first! lt is by putting ofhers first that you can discover your name – NAOMI – SWEETNESS! When you put others lirsl, the Naomi in you will manifest! Note also the words:”YOUR WAY in Vs. 12: Turm again, my daughters, go your way; for I am too old to have a husband. If I should say, I have hope, it should have a husband also tonight, and should also bear sons… Oh, I love the words; YOUR WAY! YOUR WAY! YOUR WAY! Not “MY WAY!” “MY WAY! “MY WAY She also used the words “TOO OLD! You would have expected that because she was very old, she would have been selfish to allow the two young ladies to follow her! She could have turned these two young women into “NURSES” by allowing them to follow her! The normal selfish person would have done this to these women by telling them to follow her with the hope ol linding a husband. So as you put the interest of others first, the NAOMI in you will manifest! Job’s captivity was tumed when he prayed for his friends.

THINK COMMUNITY! Not just YOUR WAY! THINK FAMILY! Not just YOUR WAY! THINK COMMUNITY! Not just YOUR WAY! Sometimes, let others have THEIR WAY and not YOUR WAY! Let your plans have the interest of others at heart! Start businesses thatcan bless COMMUNITIES and not just yourself! TOPIC: HEADING: THE MARBLE AND THE STATUE!

BASIC SCRIPTURE: GENESIS 32: 22 - 32.

In the middle of a beautiful city, there was a museum laid with beautiful marble tiles and with a huge, marble statue as a part of the display. Many people from all over the world visited the museum every day and admired the beautifully crafted statue. One night, the marble tiles started talking to the marble statue. Marble Tiles: “Hey statue, don’t you think that it is not fair that everybody from all over the world come all the way here to admire you while ignoring and stepping on me?

Marble Statue “My dear brother marble tile, don’t you remember we are actually from the same cave?” Marble Tile: “Yes! I do, that is why I feel it is even more unfair. Both of us were born from the same cave and yet the world treats us so differently now. This is so unfair! Marble Statue: “Yes, you are right my brother. But, do you still remember the day when the sculptor tried to work on you but you resisted his tools?” Marble Tiles: “Yes, I despise that guy. How could he use those nasty tools on me?” Marble Statue: “Well, since you resisted his tools, he couldn’t work on you. When he decided to give up on you, he started working on me instead.

I knew at once that I would be something different and unique after his efforts. I bore all the painful tools he used on me and allowed him to craft me as here wanted!” Marble Tiles: “But those tools were so painful Marble!” Statue: “My brother, there is a price for everything in life. Since you decided to resist and gave up half way, you can’t blame anybody who steps on you now. The marble tiles silently listened to his brother’s words and started to reflect on it. Wow, what an allegory! An allegory is a story, poem, or picture that can be interpreted to reveal a hidden, moral lesson.

The divine lesson the Holy Ghost wants you to learn from this allegory above is that the harder the knocks you go through in life, the more you lean and grow! Even when you don’t understand all your battles, just trust Him! DON’T COMPLAIN! RESIST DISCOURAGEMENT! The MASTER ARTIST, the DIVINE MASTER SCULPTOR IS ON DUTY! ALLOW HIM TO COMPLETE THE PROCESS! Tell those laughing at you that your GOD, “JEHOAH the SCOLPTOR” has not finished with you yet! And never write off yourself because your best is yet to come – because your God sculpts your character and prepares you for a greater future here and in heaven via each trial He allows!

He can take a sinful human being and mould and chisel and hammer away until that person reflects something of heaven’s glory.

Example is Jacob today’s scripture (The LORD had to dislocate his hip after a PAINFUL divine chiseling and hammering wrestling encounter, in order to mould him into a man of character via a new name)! Sculpting involves chiseling, filing, maybe even the breaking off of parts. Wow! Pain! Screams! But the end is: YOU BECOME A TOURIST ATTRACTION AND A TESTIMONY that here is God! What areas in your life need to be sculpted a bit more? Pray now!

TOPIC: DIVINE SURPRISE IS COMING!

Share this with me: “Daddy good evening Sir, please I want to share my incredible elevation testimony where God has begun to manifest in my life within the last July 14-day WORLDWIDE fasting and prayer programme. By the special Grace of God, I am a single minister of the gospel, pastor-in-charge of a Christ Anglican Church around Calabar, Nigeria. So by the time the ODM annual 14-day fasting and prayer programme began, I joined in the fast and I was moved to sow my incredible elevation testimony seed. I obeyed the move and sowed my seed by faith and reminded God about my marital settlement expectations this year during the course of the prayers.

A day after I sowed my incredible elevation testimony seed someone ourside the country was told about my forthcoming wedding by December 2020 and the person offered to foot the bill for my wedding venue with the sum of One hundred thousand naira (about 300 dollars) without me asking or telling the person about my wedding plans. I was so surprised and amazed when the person who had the conversation with the person was telling me about it. God is indeed faithful to His promises!

To God be all the glory! Thank you sir for your prophetic declarations! I believed them all by faith; God keep you. Shalom. As 2020 ends and 2021 begins, I decree that YOUR EXPECTATIONS SHALL N0T CRASH. Divine surprise is near your address! TOPIC: VICTORY IS NEAR! DON’T QUIT NOW!

BASIC SCRIPTURE:
1 KINGS 18: 41- 46.

In 2011, there was an uprising against the President of Syria Bashar Al Assad. The uprising was spearheaded by rebels and Jihadists. By early 2017, government forces held just 17% of the territory of the whole nation, the rest was occupied by forces that were against the government and the government has been fighting this bitter battle for years.

But in a series of successive attacks, the government has now succeeded in forcing the rebels out of many of their strongholds, putting Assad’s government in control of nearly two thirds of the country. The Syrian army had increased its attacks with the help of Russian air strikes, advisers from the Iranian ministry as well as help from the militiamen of Lebanon, Iran, Iraq and Afghanistan.

In late July 2018, President Bashar Al Assad told his troops that they were close to winning the country’s seven year-old civil war then, after the army inflicted a series of defeat rounds on the rebels. In his open letter to the military rank and file, Assad wrote; “Our date with victory is near. They (the rebels were ultimately to leave humiliated, roled back, their tails between their legs after you gave them a taste of bitter defeat.” Borrowing a leaf from the Syrian president and as 2020 ends, I bring these words to someone today, “Victory is near.

No matter how 2020 has been (oh, what a year indeed), don’t quit now because I hear the sound of the abundance of victory and celebration.

In today’s scripture, Israel had faced a bitter famine for three and a half years but when Elijah prayed, the heavens opened. Elijah told King Ahab not to worry anymore – And Elijah said unto Ahab, get thee up, eat and drink for there is sound of abundance of rain.” Oh, get up from that place of sorrow and being downcast, for I hear the sound of celebration again and again. For someone believing God for a husband or wife, the wedding bells are already ringing in the realm of the spirit; the letter of employment for someone’s job is already prepared.

I see fruits of the womb, new helper connections, career and business progress! I see an enemy apologizing to you very soon. Ah! Your date with victory is near and quitting is not an option. TOPIC : “LISTEN TO YOUR OWN MUSIC: REMEMBER THE 3 ’DS‘ ”

BASIC SCRIPTURE:
1 SAMUEL 30 : 1 - 8

It was Denis Waitley who penned: ’Failure should be our teacher, not our undertaker. Failure is delay, not defeat. It is a temporary detour, not a dead end.‘ In the face of challenges, the Holy Ghost wants you to remind yourself daily that there is always light at the end of the darkest tunnel. Never contemplate suicide, surrendering, quitting, crying/weeping, self-pity, etc.

Today“s scriptural reading points a lesson to us. In all of David“s losses and pain, he maintained his integrity IN THE LORD – HE ENCOURAGED HIMSELF IN THE LORD! No wonder he recovered all! No matter how 2020 or the past years of your life has been, YOU WILL RECOVER ALL because God always shows up when we get to the edge of the precipice. He will show up for you and your family/ministry.

Never give up on your EXPECTATIONS! The waiting may seem painful, but the regret of not going for it will be even more painful! Resist what is happening around you. Resist what others are saying or not saying about you! Resist the inner cry to allow depression or self- pity! And hear this: LIFE HAS MANY SOUNDS OF MUSIC! Some are sounds of MOCKERY! Some are sounds of COURAGE! Some are scattered sounds of DOUBTERS! Others are sounds of feeble SCORNERS buried in DISDAIN/CONTEMPT for you! But refuse to listen to them because nobody was there on the day that your great God created you! That was the day God gave you your drum!

Determine to create your own God-led music and please LISTEN TO YOUR DRUM BEAT and your DRUM BEAT ALONE – IT CREATES THE GREATEST MUSIC. Don“t allow the voice of MOCKERS AND JESTERS to kill your dance or steal your song because everyone cannot believe in you! As 2020 ends, always remember the ’3 Ds‘ – Dream, Desire and Determination! Yes! Listen to your inner music and sound! It takes a dream to get started, desire to keep going and determination to finish!

TOPIC: SUICIDE AFTER FAILURE: REMEMBER THE 3 “DS”

BASIC SCRIPTURES:
JOB 2: 1 - 10; 14: 1

Sometime ago, tragedy struck at the Police College in Lagos Nigeria. Some police officers took promotion exams to move on the next rank. Among those who took the exams was a young man who was to be promoted from the rank of sergeant to inspector. The young officer was said to have committed suicide when he learnt that he had failed the promotion exams. Preliminary investigations revealed that the officer had taken some drugs and died. His body was found in his car with the drugs he took littered around him. Homicide detectives, who were invited, did some investigations and ordered that this body should be taken to the morgue of the State Teaching Hospital. That was how the young officer ended his life. Ever before this happened and thereafter, the world has witnessed many bizarre actions taken by people in the face of some seeming disappointment or perceived difficulty/challenge of life. Just very recently, a young man who had taken the Nigerian university entry exams several times without success took a decision to end his life. Another young man, a university undergraduate committed suicide by EVENING PRAYERS BEFORE GOING TO BED drowning and left a note behind. The reason he did so is still unknown.

Another one took his life because he performed poorly in his academics. And yet another person set a whole house and family ablaze leading to the death of 7 people because of a relationship that went sour. The list is just inexhaustible. There are facts of life which no one can run away from. One of such facts is that life is full of ups and downs. This world is a place of challenges. This fact was stated by Papa Job in Job 14:1 – “Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble.” Frank A. Clark said, “If you find a path that is without obstacles, it probably doesn’t lead anywhere.” When life’s “ups and downs” come, you have to take them as normal experiences that people go through to succeed. An anonymous person wrote this, “Failure defeats losers but inspires winners.” Someone else said, “In all areas from mental to financial to academics to spiritual and to any aspect of life you could think of, nothing great can ever be achieved without facing some challenge or risk.” As 2020 ends, always remember the “3 Ds” Dream, Desire and Determination! I SHALL NOT WEEP SUDDENLY!

For the world of sports and especially the basketball family, Tuesday January 26th, 2020 was not best day for family of Kobe Bryant, that day would be a day they would live to remember for a very long time for the wife of Kobe Bryant , Vanessa, and her first daughter, Natalia, that day will be very difficult to erase from their memories, Kobe Bryant, an American basketballer, at the young age of 41 was snatched away from this world by the cold hands of death when the Sikorsky S-76B helicopter he chartered to fly from Orange County, California to Thousand Oaks also in California, crashed in foggy weather into a Southern Californian hillside, near Calabasas. Bryant had been scheduled that day to coach a tournament game at Mamba Sports Academy. The man did not go down alone; eight other persons lost their lives in that crash. His beautiful daughter, Gianna, who was only 13 years of age, two other girls Alyssa Altobelli and Payton Chester, the pilot of the helicopter, Ara Zobayan, a baseball coach, and three other persons died when the helicopter went down suddenly in its attempt to avoid a cloud.

When the news of the crash filtered to town, it was difficult to believe; for those who were waiting eagerly to be coached by Bryant for that day’s game, it was a dashed hope. When the news got to his wife, it was to say the least, the most devastating bad news she had ever heard; a husband and a loving/promising daughter were gone, just like that. In her statement a few days afterwards, she said, “…There aren’t enough words to describe our pain right now. I take comfort in knowing that Kobe and Gigi (Gianna) both knew that they were so deeply loved…. They were our beautiful blessings taken from us.” Life is full of many unexpected events. The widow of Nain in today’s Word never expected that she would lose her only son so soon after the demise of her husband. The unexpected event swept her off her feet. She had no option left but to weep over her loss. As she shed sudden and unexpected tears, Jesus met her in that state and said to her, “Weep not.” As 2020 ends, the LORD is saying to a user of today’s devotional: “WEEP NOT!” I see restoration! Most circumstances of life come unannounced!

Many souls and governments who began 2020 did not plan a date with the CORONAVIRUS! Arise today and pray against SUDDEN and UNEXPECTED TEARS for the next 3 days! Refer to the Mississippi man who could not be executed on the first attempt – yesterday’s devotional. Remember Isaiah 53:4 again: “Surely He hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows! Note the two words “SURELY” and “HATH.” Not, “MAYBE” or “SHALL “That means IT IS ADONE DEAL! ITIS FINISHED! IT IS CONCLUDED in the International spiritual court of justice! He has taken your tears, pain, and WHATEVER will bring you SORROW! Always declare to the devil: *”You are a liar! Jesus Christ, my MASTER took my sorrows! I CANNOT CARRY THE YOKE HE HAS CARRIED!

He took my barrenness yoke! I shall be fruitful in my womb, in my body and in the work of my hands! He took my sickness; He took my marital wars, so that I can have marital direction! He took my delays because He suffered delay on that cross! He took my financial embarrassment! He was poor so that poverty will not be my name! He was despised so that I can enjoy uncommon divine FAVOUR! He was rejected so l can be selected! He was made the TAIL (slapped and pushed around by common servants in Pilate’s courtyard), so I CAN BECOME THE HEAD! He was MOCKED so that I can be MADE into HONOUR! He was like a plant from a dry ground, so that my new names can be BLOSSOM and FLOURISH!

Whatever I lay my hands to do is not permitted to be dry anymore! He carried my grief and demotion! He carried my premature death (He never saw old age. He died before He was 34)! Yes! He carried my stagnation! He suffered betrayal/disappointment at the edge of His breakthrough- death on the cross (Judas betrayed Him! Peter disappointed Him). Isa1ah 52: 14b says: “… His visage (appearance) was so marred (disfigured and ugly) more than any man… “He could win the award for the “UGLIEST MAN ON EARTH.” That happened so that I can be glorified and beautified! SHAME cannot be my last bus-stop again because the Lord has been punished even before l was born! Oh! Thank you LORD! You shall end well, because of Isaiah 53: 11. It says the LORD shall see me for whom He suffered and BE SATISFIED! That means no matter how 2020 has been, I AM WORK-IN-PROGRESS and THE LORD has not finished with me! The LORD shall see me and be proud of me I can never be an abandoned project! Thank you LORD! Thank you LORD! Thank you LORD!

TOPIC: EXECUTED TWICE! DIED ONCE! – 1
BASIC SCRIPTURE: ISAIAH 53: 1 - 6

On the day of his execution, he was strapped in an electric chair and as the current went through him- he never died! After all efforts to execute him on that chair failed, his final cries were for the strap to be removed. The straps were eventually removed and he was taken, back into custody. However after his survival, he then filed a lawsuit claiming that he was safe from execution as they had already executed him and that he hadn’t died. It was a popular case at that time even among legal experts worldwide! Can a faulty electric chair mean that the convict had been killed? Most of the executions in 1940’s Mississippi (one of the most racist states in the US) were of black people. Unfortunately, his legal battles and appeals failed and he was finally executed the following year by an electric chair that had been well tested.

Wow! Sometimes, apart from Pharmacy, I wish I had read Law in addition! The Holy Ghost wants you to know that while LEGALLY he was wrong to have claimed that HE COULD NOT BE EXECUTED OR KILLED TWICE, in spiritual issues, that line of reasoning is right! Jesus Christ was described as the LASTADAM and He came to take/bear the PUNISHIMENT of what was caused by the FIRST ADAM. Isaiah 53: 4 says: Surely He hath borne our grief’s, and carried our sorrows.. Vs 5 says: “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and With His stripes, we are healed.” See Vs. 6: “All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way, and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. “The LORD LAID on Him, the iniquity of us ALL- even before you were born. So, In the law of natural justice, YOU CANNOT PUNISH A MAN OR WOMAN TWICE! Someone cannot be made to serve a prison sentence twice! lt is immoral and illegal. Likewise, you are not permitted to serve the punishment that has been served on your behalf. Jesus Christ served your punishment! Oh, halleluyah…. (TO BE CONTINUED TOMORROW).

There was a state Of pandemonium in a market in the Ashanti Regional capital, Kumasi, Ghana, as two self-styled evangelists were seen fighting for space to preach. The pastors who were very “passionate” about preaching the Word of God to the market women and passerbys began exchanging words after one of the pastors overtook the other to mount his equipment at the exact spot the other pastor preaches. Angered by the overtaking, the second pastor who was late to work could not fathom why his brother in Christ would “steal” his shine. The two then began jabbing each other which resulted in a hot exchange of blows. In a video, the two pastors who dragged the fight to the centre of the market managed to be separated by some men in the market.

WOW! of the end times! I know of two churches that use loud, audio, speakers to “fight” themselves because they use the same building on Sundays! Ah! Some ministers and even believers are doing God’s work for their stomach’s sake Many are now “motivational speakers” instead of preaching the pure GOSPEL of heaven!

As ministers of God are competing all over the world instead of complementing themselves, the Holy Ghost wants you to ponder over today’s devotional scripture:1 Corinthians 3:6 “I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.” So, it’s not about Apollos or Paul personality worship! It’s not about your shouting oratorial skills on the pulpit! It’s not about using the word, “MIRACLE” to deceive the crowd. It’s about the LORD who gives the INCREASE! Note this: As the sky is too big for two stars to clash, the world is big enough for all of us to shine! Remember that every man s work shall be tried by fire in the end! May you not suffer loss!

Don’t forget that in the big ocean, two fishes do not collide Stop fighting or envying others when it is their season to shine! In your season, you will be unstoppable! I always pray for ALL ministers of God as they minister every Sunday, even though I am also facing my pulpit at the Manna Mountain, that same Sunday. Refuse to compete! There is No Church Or Ministry In Heaven! Pray for others! Your star will shine in your due season! Pray now! GO to your local church today!

TOPIC: DON’T GO OUT OF THE HOUSE – 2! THE TESTIMONY OF “FOR MY SAKE"

BASIC SCRIPTURE: GENESIS 26: 16 - 30.

Recollect that the testimony of yesterday contained the following “FIRE LINES: “During contact tracing, my name and 8 other members of staff were mentioned to go for compulsory Covid-19 test/isolation and it was during the 14-day 2020 fasting programme – on day 6 of the fasting to be precise. The 9 of us and other people from other places amounting to 40 did the test.
I wrote this issue as one of my prayer points for the 14-day fasting programme. I told God that for my sake, let none of us that did the test in the State be positive. Sir, my God that fetches water with a basket to disgrace the bucket did it. This testifier prayed FOR MY SAKE” prayers and God gave her a “FOR MY SAKE” testimony! It is also called “BLESSING BY ASSOCIATION.” God also covered the rest for her/his Sake! That shall be your portion as 2020 ends and 2021 begins!

Please don’t miss the January 21-day prayer and fasting programme January 8th-29th) Today’s scripture Vs. 24 says: And the LORD appeared unto him the same night, and said, am the God of Abraham thy Father: fear not, for I am with thee, and will bless thee, and multiply thy seed for My servant Abraham’s sake. Also, Genesis 39:5 is clear: “And it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that the LORD blessed the Egyptia’s house for Joseph’s sake, and the blessing of the LORD was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field.” Oh, may that be your testimony! Do you know too that FOR YOUR SAKE, God can kill? Sec Isaiah 43:4: “Since thou was precious in My sight, thou hast been honourable, and have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.

Yes God can give men (silence them forever) for your sake. He did it for Mordecai! He did it for Daniel! He did it for Peter (all the guards were executed for his sake-see Acts 12: 19). For your sake, for you to fulfill your destiny, God can cause men/women to die! Wow! Arise today and pray seriously: “LORD MY GOD; rain upon me, the SPECIAL FAVOUR/ANOINTING OF “FOR MY SAKE” to my family and generation in Jesus name.”

BASIC SCRIPTURES: EXODUS 12 : 21 - 32; EXODUS 15 : 26.

Welcome to today’s devotional encounter with Jehovah the DISEASE SILENCER.” Share with me this testimony: “My name is Malaku Gambo Maku. I write to testify of what the awesome God did for me and some of my colleagues, some of my colleagues contracted Covid-19 through a pharmacist who also got it from her Doctor husband. She was complaining of not feeling too well, but the boss insisted that she must come to work, though the boss didn’t know that it was Covid-19.

During contact tracing, my name and 8 other members of staff were mentioned to go for compulsory Covid-19 test/isolation and it was during the 14-day 2020 fasting programme – on day 6 of the fasting to be precise. The result finally came out as negative and no one has contacted us again on any Covid-19 issue! God is faithful! To Him be the Glory. Thank you Jesus. During the 14-day worldwide fast, God is using today’s devotional to encourage somebody: THERE IS A BLOOD COVER AROUND YOU AND ALL THAT IS CONNECTED TO YOU AROUND YOU. Even if you make any mistake (you are human) during this COVID-19 SEASON, refuse to PANIC.

Don’t forget that this particular testifier was named during the CONTACT TRACING. She/he had came into contact with these COVID-19 infected colleagues. Oh! Wonderful Jesus! But note that today’s 1st scripture, Vs. 22 says: “And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the bason; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning. Hyssop is a type of your faith! You must APPLY THE BLOOD BY FAITH! Refuse to fear what others are fearing! Note also that you are to dip the hyssop in the blood and apply it to the top of the lintel and the two side posts (the CROSS sign).

As you apply the BLOOD and refuse to leave the house, no matter the matter, then no sickness, divination, incantation, legion of enemies, etc can get at you. As 2020 ends, despite the battles and some delay to your prayers, no matter how the year has been, REFUSE TO GO OUT OF THE HOUSE! Stay in the house! SECRET OF HAPPINESS: GIVE YOURSELF MORE ATTENTION – 2

Life is really hard sometimes; but God wants you to discover how to become the UNSTOPPABLE VERSION OF YOU, free from self-hate and addictive drugs or false happiness habits. There’s no escaping that reality. It’s impossible to live well without encountering some level of struggle, and there are some seasons in our lives that are especially heartbreakıng:

A major failure, delays, loss of a job, a divorce, broken courtship, loss of a loved one, loss of trusted friends, painful betrayal by those you trusted, loss of a business deal or bankruptcy, etc. CIRCUMSTANCES can produce worry which further creates a life of deep, dark depression, stress, illness, confusion, fits of anger and bouts of profound depression. Anyone who has experienced any of the above knows that they are a river of horror! When you are in a season when the devil tries to knock you down from all sides with unhappiness, the key to your escape is to: give yourself MORE ATTENTION! The truth is, everyone experiences unhappy circumstances in one form or the other!

There were days in my life, when getting out of bed was a big accomplishment because I wished I never woke up. Wow! But, the Holy Ghost wants you to know that a vast amount of unhappiness is as a result of SELF-NEGLECT. During my-10 years of darkness and deep depression in which I attempted suicide, I HATED MYSELF because I felt I had made a VITAL MISTAKE in my life! Just after I discovered OUR DAILY MANNA on the day I wanted to commit suicide, I’ve learned now to cope with the hard times, the pain and disappointments, and above all, I’ve learned the vital importance of self-love and self-care – the maIgic that makes smilıng again (and again) possible.

The man in today’s scripture did not allow the opinion of the Pharisees to affect his joy! He stood his ground and said: “…one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see.” ONE THING I KNOW! He was saying (paraphrased): “I may not know all that you know, but ONE THING KNOW. I am now complete in my joy and I am not going to allow you to determine my happiness. ONE THING I KNOW and that ONE THING is enough.” Oh! The emphasis was on HIMSELF and what he knew! Ah Lift up your hands and praise the LORD who gave you your own AIR! You are a VIP! Give yourself more attention! Love yourself! Others are not better than you no matter what they know or who they are!

In the midst of your battles, create your own happiness by force! Start today!

It was Abraham Hicks who penned: “My happiness depends on me, so you’re off the hook.” As 2020 ends, determine not to allow anything or person to STEAL YOUR JOY! Always remember that THE JOY OF THE LORD IS YOUR STRENGTH (Neh 8:10)! The LORD wants you to be happy, no matter what is going on! REJOICE ALWAYS even when all you see is GLOOM! Practice feeling good, no matter what! “Happiness is an inside job. Don’t assign anyone else that much power over your life.” (Mandy Hale).
Truly, many people wait for something to happen or someone to make them happy. If you expect others to make you happy, you will always be disappointed. Choose to do more activities that’ll bring, you joy as long as they are not sinful or evil to your body and soul. Being responsible means not blaming others for your unhappiness, it means figuring out ways to be happy despite the negative benaviour of others and despite every external influence. Get the message clear again: No one can make you happy, nor can you make anyone else happy. Never sacrifice yourself for the sake of making other people happy!

NEVER! I know of parents whose happiness depends on children or BEST FRIENDS! No! None of these people can make you feel good always! Your joy is in your hands! You must love your neighbour as yourself! Not above yourself! Self-neglect a God-neglect stands at the very top of this list of depression causes. You don’t have to fit into people’s plans for you! They were not there when God created you: Choose to be happy BY FORCE! As long as you are breathing your own air given to you by God, then all you need is the approval of that God AND NOT OF PEOPLE! He will move PEOPLE to bow to you at last! Be Happy!

Be Well! Be Positive! That was the secret of the Shunammite woman. She kept saying: IT IS WELL! IT IS WELL! IT IS WELL even when a DEAD baby was in her house! She never told her husband that their only child was dead! She was not going to allow ANTHING OR ANYBODY to affect her joy! Live like that even when your world is a storm! Yes! FEAR NOTHING! FEAR NOBODY! Goliath held an entire nation/army captive through fear! His weapon was intimidation! And that is how your arch enemy, the devil, operates! He operates like a roaring lion. He is not the roaring lion! The real lion is inside you! He is Jesus Christ, the Lion of the tribee of Judah. And when the Lord on your inside roars, everything is shaken! All authority under heaven and on earth is His. And you are His child. Wow! Oh! Bold words of a soldier from the army of JEHOVAH NISSI.
He continued in Vs. 47 And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the LORD’S, and He will give you into our hands.” That’s how God wants you to speak against that barrenness, delay, demotion, stagnation, sin, false accusations, envy, sickness/disease, premature death, poverty, shame, ete, etc. GOD WANTS YOU TO MOVE FROM DEFENCE TO OFFENCE! Even the LORD Jesus SPOKE THE WORD OF GOD against His mountain SATAN (when Satan tempted Him in the wilderness)!

He wasn’t just defending Himself; He was delivering deadly blows worse than CORONAVIRUS by speaking chapters/verses of the WORD against the enemy! I am sure Satan ran away that day with a sickness called “COVID – DISGRACE.” Arise now and pray seriously!

BASIC SCRIPTURES: JOSHUA 7: 2 - 7; 8:1-2, 25-26.

Nearly the whole world, one way or the other, watch that lady called Oprah Winfrey on television. It may also interest you to know that Oprah had a rocky start in life. In her early years, not only were her living conditions and that of her entire family rough, she also suffered abuse by people that were very close to her.

At the age of 14, she got pregnant. The boy she gave birth to as a result of that pregnancy died shortly after birth. In High School and in her first 2 years in college, Oprah went for internship at a local radio station, where she helped to develop a foundation for a career in media. She was hired later to a local Television station to read news, but things were dismal for her. The producer said she was “unfit for television”, so she was fired. Indeed the road to FAME is SHAME! In 1983, Oprah relocated to Chicago to host a low-rated show called, “AM Chicago. Within a few months, the show went from last in the ratings to the number one show at that time.

This led to the show being re-named” The Oprah Winfrey Show which has become known worldwide. Ah! The beauty of failure is that it is the womb that carries success! It is the ladder to undisputable success Joshua, in today’s story, had failed in his attempt to conquer the small city called Ai. The men of this small country killed some gallant and very valiant 30 Israeli soldiers. The whole of the Israeli Armed Forces suffered depression, Tears and discouragement. Verse 5 of chapter 7 says, “…wherefore the hearts of the people melted, and became as water”. However, Joshua went back to the drawing board and put himself together to fight again.

Eventually Israel prevailed over Ai that fell that day, both men and women, were twelve thousand, even all the men of Ai” (Joshua 8:25). People of great minds say that: It is not failure that matters but what you do with failure.
Men and women fail, small and great people fail, but the difference is that when a man or woman with a great mind fails, he/she regards that as a learning curve for success, rather than a reason to give up. No matter how 2020 has been, see every mistake or failure as just stepping stones to greatness.

Often when we discuss success and successful people, we forget to mention the fact that most stories of success are preceded by seasons of failure. We read about successful people forgetting that they probably have gone through seasons of failure before they eventually became successful. Winston Churchill put it this way, “Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm.”
Today, the world celebrates men like Bill Gates, Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, and women like Oprah Winfrey without telling us the story behind their glory. This is the reason why sometimes part of this devotional is dedicated to telling the story behind the glory of successful men and women globally. LOTS OF PASTORS CONDEMN YOU FOR YOUR FAlLURES OR BATTLES; they LIE to you that they have NEVER failed and cannot fail, but they forget that ALL LIARS will end up in the LAKE OF FIRE! Mistakes and failures are what makes you to know that YOU ARE NOT GOD but flesh and blood! They make you to know that without the GRACE of a higher ROCK your GOD, you will be a victim of life’s battles!

They make you to look up to the HILLS from whence cometh your help! It may interest you to know that before Microsoft was born, Bill Gates, known to be one of the wealthiest men in the world today, suffered failure in his first business venture! He started a business known as Traf-0-Data.” It was a partnership between Bill Gates, Paul Gilbert and Paul Allen. The goal of the business was to create reports for roadway engineers from raw traffic data. The company they founded achieved very little success by processing the raw traffic data to generate some income. Unfortunately, the machine they had built to process the data flopped in the process of presenting it to a traffic employee of Seattle County in America.

But as God would have it, this business helped to set Bill Gates and his business partner Paul Allen up for major success With Microsoft. Although Bill Gates failed in his first business, this did not discourage him from trying again. Moses in today’s Word was a failure in his is attempt as a “FREEDOM FIGHTER!” Young Moses hated the racist/cruel Egyptian government/customs and wanted a better life for his people, but his trust was in his human “people power.” His hopes were however shattered after he failed to promote himself as a potential leader of a new “political party.”

He became a frustrated FAILURE and FUGITIVE in EXILE for 40 years! Yet this same Moses freed the Jews and became so great that he was PERSONALLY BURIED by Jehovah God! Yes! His grave is only known to God almighty! Wow! Never ever give up… (To be continued tomorrow).

Verses 5 and 6 of today’s scripture says: Then went Samson down, and his father and his mother, to Timnath, and came to the vineyards of Timnath: and, behold, a young lion roared against him. And the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and he rent him as he would have rent a kid, and he had nothing in his hand: but he told not his father or his mother what he had done. Samson had a big fight with the lion.

Oh! It was a YOUNG LION with fresh strong bones, paws, claws and teeth. In the race of life, young Lions will roar against you and confront you from time to time, but with God on your side, you will tear them into pieces like Samson. It is your victory over the young Lions of Life – stubborn battles, difficulties, challenges, and obstacles that produce your honey. Today’s Scripture Verses 8 and 9 reveals: “And after a time he returned to take her, and he turned aside to see the carcase of the lion: and, behold, there was a swarm of bees and honey in the carcase of the lion.

And he took thereof in his hands, and went on eating, and came to his father and mother, and gave them, and they did eat: but he told not them that he had taken the honey out of the carcase of the lion.” Wow! Did you that? The Lion Samson fought and killed brought forth his honey. That means his SWEAT brought forth his SWEET and his BATTLE produced his BUBBLE. I remember Audrey Hepburn: “As you grow older you will discover that you have two hands: One for helping yourself, the other for helping others.” See Prov. 21: 13 – “Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard.” That scripture is saying (paraphrased): “If you refuse to put a smile on someone’s face, the smile on your own face will be taken away. God forbid!

It was after Abraham showed help to the Trinity who were disguised as three weary strangers in Genesis 18 that A MAJOR DELAY in his life was broken! Isaac was born the following year after 25 years of waiting! That reminds us again of Prov. 19:17: “He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will He pay him again.” God can disguise Himself as a person in need! EACH TIME YOU GIVE TO THE POOR (PHYSICALLY AND SPIRITUALLY), YOU ARE LENDING TO GOD AND GOD BECOMES A “BORROWER.”

That means you LEND TO THE LORD by helping the needy and HE CAN PAY YOU BACK in ways you least expect! It can lead to the salvation of a loved one or a fruit of the womb testimony, etc. Yes, blessings that money CANNOT buy will locate you. Make it a regular habit after your Tithe to God. He left the hospital helpless. On his way back to visit his mother, he stopped at a gas station. While waiting for the attendant to fill his tank, he noticed a lady begging with her two children all dressed in rags. They were really hungry. He thought: “Who will help them in these circumstances?”

Then he went into the store. He bought a box of ordinary biscuits that cost nothing at all, opened the box for them and continued his way to the hospital. When he entered the intensive care unit, his mother was no longer there. He dropped what was in his hands, and rushed to ask the nurse, Where is she? She said: “She suddenly got better, so we moved her to the next room.” He went to his mother, greeted her and asked her what had happened. She said she saw as she was unconscious, a lady in a scruffy outfit and her two children with their hands stretched out to heaven praying for her.”

Oh my God! The young man stood in amazement. He learnt the power of compassion! And he also discovered that God does not joke with the good we do. Just because he helped two suffering souls, his dying mother was spared! Giving alms stops calamities and breaks delay! No wonder Prov. 19:17 says: “He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will He pay him again. Can you get that? TOPIC: THE BAG OF BEANS REFUSED TO FALL OFF!

BASIC SCRIPTURES: NUMBERS 17: 8;
1 JOHN 4: 1 - 4.

A thief (names withheld for security/police ongoing investigative reasons), who stole a bag of beans surrendered himself to a police divisional station at Agbor in Delta State of Nigeria. The bag of beans he stole from a shop around the market area in,Agbor could not be dislodged from his head. Confessing, the thief who is an automobile mechanic, said he went out as early as 2am on Monday 27th April to break into the shop which was to enable him to have something to eat with his family since he had not been able to go out and earn money due to the COVID-19 lockdown

So that means the BAG OF BEANS WAS STUCK ON HIS HEAD SPIRITUALLY DUE TO THE CHARIMS THAT WERE PREPARED TO SECURE THE SHOP BY THE SHOP OWNER! The shocked but frightened policemen tried but were unable to bring down the bag of beans from the man’s head! However, as the news spread like wildfire, the owner of the shop showed up and recited some incantations to UNLOCK THE LUGGAGE, which thereafter fell off from the thief’s head. In what seemed to be a spiritual dramatic scene, the owner of the beans was later seen around the police premises singing power songs and lamenting that, that was not the first time such a thing had happened as she had suffered countless losses arising from robbery outbreaks.

On hearing the culprit’s version of the story however, the shop owner opened the bag of beans in question and gave the thief half of the bag plus other food ingredients saying that the government lockdown without palliative measures for all, was an act of dehumanization. Wow! The Holy Ghost wants you to take your spiritual life seriously because THERE ARE POWERS IN THE UNIVERSE THAT YOUR EYES DO NOT SEE! Yes! There are spiritual powers that can do and undo but cannot re-do. BUT THEY HAVE BOUNDARIES THEY CANNOT CROSS! WATCH and PRAY and be VERY HOT (not lukewarm) for God. These wicked powers can decide to try you or harm you.

THEY HAVE KEYS TO LOCK AND UNLOCK! But they fear your HOLINESS, PRAYER FIRE and they know that your God is the God who waters a dry suck to disgrace a forest! TOPIC: THE DOVE AND THE BEE

BASIC SCRIPTURE: JOSHUA 2: 1 - 21.

Welcome to this devotional hour with He that turns dry bones to a miracle, durable army! SOMETIMES, I AM LED TO USE ALLEGORIES and PARABLES to write even as the LORD speaks a word in season to your soul. An allegory is a story, poem, or picture that can be interpreted to deliver a broader message about real-world issues and occurrences.

Now let’s go: On the banks of a river, there was a tree where a swarm of bees set up their beehive. They remained busy the entire day buzzing on flowers and collecting honey. One fine day, a bee felt thirsty and went to the river to drink some water. As the bee tried to drink, a wave of current swept it away. The bee started drowning. Fortunately, a beautiful dove who had been watching from a distance, rushed to help the poor bee. She plucked a big leaf from a tree and flew towards the bee. The dove placed the leaf near the bee. The bee mounted on the leaf and dried its wings.

After some time, the bee found the strength to fly away to safety. A couple of weeks later, the dove was caught in a dangerous situation. As she was sitting on the branch of a tree, a hunter targeted her. The dove looked for an escape route but saw a large hawk hovering around her also. That’s when her good deed returned to her. The bee came to her rescue by stinging the hunter hard. As Soon as the bee stung the hunter who had a bow and arrow, the hunter released the arrow, which missed the dove and hit the hawk instead. The dove flew away to safety. Wow! What an allegory; a story that will teach a TRINITY (our 3 Friends) Yea!

The lesson from the school of the Holy Ghost wants you to know that every good you do will always come back to you. Yes, as 2020 ends, you may have been despitefully abused or betrayed, but never forget that the best way to find yourself to lose yourself in the service of others! TOPIC: BROUGHT BACK FROM DEATH! HARVEST ATTACKERS DISGRACED

Share with me the GREAT REPORT below: “My name is Okeke Mary Blossom. My mum of blessed memory introduced us to ODM for a very long time. No day passes without this soul food. And it wasn’t up to a year since we buried our mum and I didn’t know what people must have tagged our family, I reminded God that I would eat the fruits of all my labour and harvest eaters would not prevail. Then this God Jehovah, only Rule Changer, the only World Record Breaker, The God of ODM, the only Mystery Maker surprised us all and put the enemies to shame!

He disgraced all my harvest attackers and brought her back to life an only by His mercy. l really appreciate this very God and will continue to worship him all the days of my life. TOPIC: PRIDE! THE KILLER OF GIANTS - 2

BASIC SCRIPTURES:
PROVERBS 16: 18 PHILIPPIANS 2: 1 - 11.

The story of NGIDI teaches us deep roots of Prov.16:18 – Pride goeth before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. One day, after the success of that crusade and the new anointing released upon BONNKE, Rev Ngidi came to one of Reinhard Bonnke’s programmes and saw multitudes like never before and when he met Bonnke, Ngidi began to say: “I missed it” “I missed it..” And he left the venue.

That was the last time they met. He died shortly after that. Ah! Beware of pride! Don’t be like a dog that bites the owner! Today, even though he has gone to be with the Lord, everybody knows Bonnke. But no one knows Richard Ngidi. What a life of irony! Hear Dwight L. Moody: “God sends no one away empty except those who are full of themselves. Then the quiet but loaded Henry Ward Beecher penned: “A proud man is seldom a grateful man, for he never thinks he gets as much as he deserves.” Ah! See Philip Yancey: “Whatever makes us feel superior to other People, whatever tempts us to convey a sense of superiority, that is the gravity of our sinful nature, not grace.

Wow!! Always remember that you are what you are by HIS GRACE, not by your human connections, education, eloquence, prayer fire, holiness, etc. Choose deeper humility from today because YOU ARE DUST! Be the first to apologise always! Don’t struggle to always be known or seen! Don’t Seek for or pay for titles except you are awarded or you deserve them. Don’t be angry when others are praised and not you. Every man or woman has his/her season to shine; NOBODY shines forever, except GOD! Your season will come! Pastors, stop envying others who are doing better than you. Pray for them, don’t curse them. Same applies to businessmen/women or career-minded people! The moon does not stop the sun from shining and vice versa!

In your season, you cannot be stopped! Philippians 2: 3 is a watershed: “Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.” Rick Warren opined: “Pride builds walls between people, humility builds bridges.” Close with this: Pride will cost you everything but leave you with nothing, except shame, tears and had-I -known.” Learn! TOPIC: PRIDE: THE KILLER OF GIANTS!

BASIC SCRIPTURE: PSALM 75: 1 - 10.

There was this great Zulu (South African) Evangelist that worked with Reinhard Bonnke, His name was RIchard Ngidi. This man was gifted in miracles, signs and wonders. In those days, Bonnke would preach and step down the pulpit for Evang Ngidi to do what he knew best to do. He was really the “greater of the two, Yes, he was a concrete support to Bonnke and Bonnke’s ministry was growing rapidly. THEN PRIDE came knocking! The great Richard Ngidi began to think of himself as the maker of Reinhard Bonnke.
After all, he was the man doing the whole thing yet Reinhard Bonnke was taking the credit and the ministry bore Bonnke’s name. He said to Reinhard Bonnke’s assistants: “The day I leave Reinhard, that day will mark the end of him and his ministry.” One day in a crusade where he was to minister, he “deliberately didn’t show up. Bonnke waited nearly all night for him yet he didn’t show up. Bonnke summoned courage, took the microphone, apologized for the non-appearance of the great man, and as he was hurying to preach a little message and close, suddenly there was an uproar from all over the crusade ground; screams of “I CAN SEE,” I CAN HEAR,” I CAN WALK” I AM HEALED,” etc, filled the air. God did not wait for BONNKE TO FINISH HIS APOLOGIES.

The miracles began and instead of SHAME, it was a night of FAME! Listen when your LAST HOPE IS ON THE GOD THAT FETCHES WATER WITH A BASKET TO DISGRACE THE BUCKET, then you will never end up in disgrace! God moved mightily that night in miracles, signs and wonders and that marked the beginning of Bonnke’s ministerial EXPLOSION! Instead of that day being the day of shame for Bonnke, it became his day of fame and unfortunately the end of Ngidi. IT WAS THE NIGHT GOD REITRED NGlDl. But we must not judge him. We are all human and this write-up is only a warning for the living! Oh! I feel like weeping right now because the LORD is showing me that there are 1, 546 people using today’s devotional that He will retire soon, if they don’t stop seeking for fame or popularity!

Stop competing to be seen or to be heard! The LORD says you must know that PROMOTION does not come from the earth, but from above! Psalm 75: 6 -7 says, “For pronmotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the Judge: He putteth down one, and setteth up another.” Always remember: It was PRIDE that changed ANGELS to DEMONS! Beware… (To be continued tomorrow). THE LITTLE BOY MET GOD!

BASIC SCRIPTURE: GENESIS 18: 1 - 16.

Welcome to the last quarter of this year! A little boy was Determined to meet God. In his search, he packed his bag with some of his favourite cookies/a flask with tea and started on his journey. He walked around three blocks and stopped by when he saw a beautiful park. He sat on a bench beside an elderly lady. She was just sitting on the bench and watching some pigeons. He opened his bag, took out his cookies and poured some tea. When he was about to sip his tea, he noticed that the lady looked hungry.

He offered her his cookies and a cup of tea. She gratefully accepted and smiled at him. The boy was delighted! They sat there all afternoon smiling and eating cookies, but they never said a word. As the day went down, the boy got up to leave and gave the old woman a big hug. She gave him her biggest smile ever. The boy entered their family home with a huge smile on his face. Surprised by the look of joy on his face, his mother asked. “What did you do today that made you so happy. He replied, “I had a lunch with God today and she has got the most beautiful smile I’ve ever seen. Meanwhile, the old woman entered her home radiant with joy.

Her son, astonished by the joy and peace on his mother’s face, asked, mother, what made you so happy today She replied, “I ate cookies and tea in the park with God. You know, He is much younger than expected. Wow! Too often we underestimate the power of little acts of love and care like a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear. An honest compliment, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. In this last quarter of 2020, let God use you to be a blessing daily to someone, because everybody you meet today can be used to bless you tomorrow!

Be somebody who makes everybody feel like a somebody! Remember Abraham saw 3 tired-looking souls. He did not know they were the God Team! He fed them and made them feel special! That was the secret of his eternal breakthrough today! There comes a time when you must realize that the MOON IS as IMPORTANT as the STARS or the SUN!

The RAZOR BLADE is sharp but it cannot cut a tree! The AXE is strong but it cannot cut your hair! The problem with life is not that we will die! The problem is HOW WE LIVE! May this be your best quarter ever in Jesus name!

TOPIC: TRIBUTE TO A SON – “IF…” – Part 2

BASIC SCRIPTURE: PSALM 85: 1 - 9;
JOHN 14: 27.

The Nobel PRIZE winner in Literature, Rudyard Kipling, was a bitter enemy of British involvement in the First Word War. But during that war, he encouraged his son John to join the army. When his son failed the physical test, Mr. Kipling used his connections to get him into the army, only to watch him die in the battle for Loos (The Battle of Loos took place from 25 September – 8 October 1915 in France on the Western Front). His son death left a scar and a wound that was hard to heal! His life was one that was full of trials, hardship and sorrow, but time and time again, he overcame.

The poem, “IF” published three years after he won the Nobel Prize, contained the lessons he learned and was considered to be the keys to his success. Part of it is engraved on the entrance to modern day Wimbleson Stadium UK, to remind the world of the hidden secrets of winning. Let’s go with the paraphrased version of the poem: If you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you, If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for their doubting too;
