Students of University of CALABAR (UNICAL) and students of Cross River University of Technology (CRUTECH) are set for a joint protest in calabar the capital of Cross River State on Monday 19th October 2020 by 8am.. This protest is due to the long ASUU strike that seems like it won't end soon..
They want the government to stop it's insensitivity towards students and find a lasting solution between them and ASUU, so that students can go back to school, learn and graduate...

Nairalanders are funny o, u guys are here saying what the doctors wanted u to say because I don't know wharisgoinon. The said resident doctors are looking for who will pity them.. In their appointment letter, it was stated six years.. And six years have reached.. Now why all the drama.. New resident doctors will be employed to also learn..

Na only them wan learn? .. They should rather start applying for a permanent job... This is when they have finally become doctors.. They were still schooling.. They have graduated.. They have to go home for other doctors to come and also learn

Instead of applying for a Job, they want do residency for ever.. It's not done that way any where in the world

They were terminated since December, it's now they are coming out to find who will pity them and bad mouth the hospital management because it's Corona virus period.. Shame



You guys should know that other new set of resident doctors will replace them..

Generally, doctors are selfish people... Shame again.

At about 5am Today Friday 27 March 2020, at Joseph mkpang Street , ikot Ansa, CALABAR, Cross River State, there was a great noise in the neighborhood , only to hear the father of three children crying and shouting out Loud that his 3 kids and wife are dead.. A very tall overhead tank holder of two story building accommodating three Gpee tank filled with water had collapse on the man's house while his kids and wife were still asleep.

By God's grace, his three kids and his wife came out without a scratch and alive

The man who was outside his house before the incident occurred said that "Around few minutes to 5am, he heard a voice telling him to go outside continously, immediately he stepped outside, not too long the incident occurred."

He further thanked God for saving his three kids and wife.


Bad engineers and bad contractors every where in this country.. Lord save us

*News Flash:* ```The Laboratory already has its rightful occupants and they are: MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENTISTS. You can't survive there if you're not one. You are incompetent, untrained and incapable of carrying out the work of a Medical Laboratory Scientist.```

A Senior Colleague once told me that a Resident Doctor begged to be shown how to perform ESR test. *Can you imagine?��‍♂*
Another Resident Doctor tried PCV Testing and sealed both ends of the capillary tube. *Who does that?��‍♂*
```Even a 200 level Medical Laboratory Science student won't display such degree of ignorance and incompetence.``` _If that was an emergency sample from a patient who's PCV count is urgently needed for Blood Transfusion, the patient would have ran out of time and eventually died._

You say you are a Pathologist. A pathologist only interprets the result of a Medical Lab Scientist and has no business carrying out laboratory analysis on any patient's sample. A pathologist interprets Lab results and also advise his medical colleagues on treating special cases associated with his field but what we see in Nigeria is that pathologists want to sign the results he has no input on; he wants to head a Medical Laboratory Department. *The Nigerian Law makes it clear, _Medical Laboratory Science is a distinct Department and should be headed by a Medical Laboratory Scientist._*
Doctors should live and let others live. Enough of incurring into other peoples jurisdiction. It is unlawful for a Medical Doctor to want to carry out routine Diagnosis.

_If a Doctor wants to perform routine diagnosis he should apply for MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENCE through JAMB; Study for 5 years; Go through another year of Internship; and also another year of NYSC (making it 7 years) after which he will acquire the License to Practice as a Medical Laboratory Scientist._

You cannot study Lab Medicine for 5 months and feel you know the same things as a MLScientist who studied Med Lab Science for 5 years.

*Everyone in the Health Sector is important. The MLScientists, Nurses, Doctors, Radiographers, Pharmacist, etc. all contribute to saving the lives of the patients. _Thus, Medical Doctors shouldn't feel they can work anywhere; that others in the Health Sector are dispensable, while they are not._*

Henceforth, any Medical Doctor Who thinks he knows better than any Medical Scientist should be arrested for thinking; Those who go as far as wanting to do Bench Works and routine diagnosis should be arrested and persecuted�
