I CAN TELL YOU OLD MAN THAT AFTER 58 YEARS OF SOCALLED FREEDOM IN NIGERIA. MAJORITY OF YOU STILL LIVE IN POVERTY THANX TO TRIBALISM (one of your oldies is still talkin Biafra war in 2013, by doing this we can tell hes IGBO TRIBALIST), RELIGIOUS BEEF AND CORRUPTION.

Blogging with OLD Nigerian sometimes is a waiste of TIME. I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR FROM THE YOUNGER GENERATION THAN THE FAILED GENERATION OF PEOPLE BORN BETWEEN 1950-1985. Atleast those born in the mid 80s till late 90s have a different view on NIGERIAN ISSUES. Most of these are more interested on WAY FORWARD than past crap. grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin
Majority of Igbos live in poverty?
most Igbos above the age of 30 are land owners. Most south African bleks don't own sh.it
most Igbos are functionaly literate. South Africans bleks are good only for houseboy and girl in their own country undecided
A lot of Igbo businesses across the globe. South African bleks can't manage shi.t.
Our roads may be flooded and our infrastructure lacking but that is a direct consequence of 50+ years of government misrule. Yes things are rough, but most of us have all the basics of modern life and things are changing really fast. FYI the biggest middle class in Africa is in alaigbo. Take back your country! I don't care what you do with it later. Take it back, it is yours.
@oldies young Igbos are just like their fathers (oyiri nnaya), just more exposed and even more capable. We still have the spirit of our fathers. The Igbo spirit is immortal cool

[b]THE RAINBOW NATION

Durban's 'white' suburbs are now 'black'

It is official: the affluent formerly white suburbs of Kloof and Durban North are now dominated by black Africans, and townships like KwaMashu and uMlazi are sparsely scattered with white residents.

Senior ANC leaders visited Nelson Mandela at his home in Houghton a few weeks after he was discharged from hospital. ANC deputy president Cyril Ramaphosa and chairwoman Baleka Mbete stand behind President Jacob Zuma and Mandela.

The 2011 National Census results, broken down into suburb-specific detail, were released yesterday, and the key migratory patterns observed throughout the country since the previous census in 2001 are just as prevalent in KwaZuluNatal, as a stronger black middle class emerges.

The figures show that there are now almost 16 000 black Africans living in Kloof, as opposed to just more than 10 000 white residents. Black Africans make up 54 percent of Kloof residents, while coloureds, Indians and whites account for just 1, 11 and 34 percent respectively. In Durban North, black Africans also outnumber their white counterparts, although not by much, making up 37 percent of the population, compared with 32 percent. The Indian population in Durban North is also closing in on that of whites, now at 25 percent.

Dr Arulsivanathan Naidoo, the head of Stakeholder Relations at Stats SA, said yesterday that this trend mirrored that which was taking place throughout South Africa.

"Since the start of our democracy until 2001, when the previous census was held, there was not much change in terms of migration patterns and suburb population dynamics. However, in the 10 years from 2001 until 2011, the last census, there has been a lot of change, and this recent census is the first real accurate count between those two points."

Naidoo said that the black Africans that were moving into the formerly white suburbs were bringing with them higher incomes and education levels. Black Africans were also catching up to the numbers of their white counterparts in Westville and Morningside.

Chatsworth is still dominated by Indians, who make up 60 percent of the population, but 38 percent - or 75 004 residents - are now black Africans.

The statistics also show that KwaMashu, although having a 99 percent black African population, also has 145 white residents. A total of 1 457 Indian and 303 coloureds also live in KwaMashu.

Similarly, uMlazi, with a total population of over 400 000, has 285 white, 999 Indian and 578 coloured residents. Durban's statistics also showed that 48 percent of both uMhlanga and Hillcrest residents had completed some higher education, followed by 47 percent of Westville residents.

Higher education levels in KwaMashu, uMlazi, Phoenix and Chatsworth ranged from 9 to 12 percent.

However, KwaMashu households have the highest percentage of married residents over the age of 16, with 97 percent. By comparison, only 82 percent of Morningside households are occupied by married couples.

Naidoo said the latest census statistics at suburb level showed a decrease in the number of people in South Africa living without basic essentials such as water and electricity.

"The quality of life generally has improved throughout the country, with more people now having access to basic services," he said. However, there were still small pockets of people who had not seen an improvement in their living standards.

Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Dibiachukwu: 1:31pm On May 06, 2013
agaugust: No, you are wrong. Nigeria avoided war with Cameroon over Bakassi which had become Cameroonian territory given as a gift after B.iafra vs Nigeria civil war, a gift by ex-President Gowon and General Obasanjo to show appreciation for President Ahidjo making his Cameroon whole nation to support Nigeria against France and South Africa during our civil war.

the gift was never documented in 1970, but obasanjo knew the truth and he did a honourable thing, he did not want to fight against cameroon that was our best friend (along with Ghana) during B.iafra civil war.

the land was actually cameroonian land by old german/british colonial map sharing/dividing west africa (thats why the world court gave the land to cameroon based on document evidence) but nigerians lived there. for supporting nigeria politically in civil war, we gave back to cameroon what we occupied by human activity, which cameroon could not take by military force.

nigeria and cameroon military trained for war together this year, no enemies, still friends. nigeria gave back what it took by reason of our giant size and spread.
I told you before not to make statements like this. This is an insult to the ibom people! nigeria gave ibom land to cameroon for helping them win a war against Biafra. Are you alright? And quoting colonial crap? Shey you know that ibom people are still in their land and have sworn to die in their land. Do you know that iboms have top people as cousins and brothers in Nigeria? Do you know that this is the entry point of france into Nigeria? In the coming second civil war of Nigeria. As usual you want to boast with a useless and brain dead person like OBJ. If you think cameroon didn't work with france during the civil war, then you are still a toddler in international politics. Britain and france were and are still working together. Do you know what would have happened if Biafra sold out to france like Nigeria did to britain? Do you know that the war would last more than 20 years with chief benefactors being mining companies (front for foreign governments)? Keep your arguments within relevant contexts. Don't drag Biafra into this! And if you read newspaper articles then, Nigeria was avoiding war with france using cameroon as front. Do you know that britain called upon Nigeria to seek british military support and fight the war. Why do you think Nigeria refused that offer (uhmm uhmm Biafra). FYI Nigeria would cease to exist immediately Nigeria stupidly falls into another pig trap of resource war. bakassi is a total disaster waiting to explode and who did pigs use (uhm uhm OBJ).

Monitor all calls to the all foreign countries. Scan your airspace periodically for alien radio waves and block satelite uplink from enemy nations that are slowly identifying themselves.

PoliticsRe: Obi Betrayed My Father – Ojukwu Jr by Dibiachukwu: 8:01am On May 03, 2013
spiritfada: Emeka, first son of late Biafran leader, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, Thursday, accused Governor Peter Obi of betraying his father,  following the continued crisis in All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA.

Emeka, who spoke at Nnewi, Anambra State, further alleged that while pockets of crises in  APGA lingered when  his father was alive, he did all he could to resolve the problem only for the governor to upturn the ideologies and ambitions of the party as pronounced by his father in death.

Emeka, who spoke with reporters while addressing Nnewi North chapter of APGA, noted that the governor chose to personalise the party and annihilate the real grass-roots members of the party only to bring in strangers who he wanted to do his bidding.

“I resigned as commissioner in Governor Peter Obi’s government and some people felt that I should not do that.

“Today, those people have got me vindicated.  There are several irregularities that I saw then that made me leave the government of Peter Obi.

“What my father had in mind for APGA is not what is happening now. Ezeigbo had a vision of a party like APGA which is poised towards accommodating all and sundry and giving Ndigbo a voice in the comity of states.

“But when my father died, Governor Peter Obi chose to carry out his own agenda to the detriment of the party.

“May be he was waiting for my father to die so that he can take APGA to where he wanted and do whatever he wanted with it.

“Today, we have crisis that is man made and it all boils down to who will succeed him. But he is not fit to carry the members along and that is why we are in this situation.”

He condemned the crisis between national chairman of APGA, Chief Victor Umeh and Obi, saying Victor Umeh had continued to fight and protect all that his late father  planned and anticipated for APGA.

“Victor Umeh has been a steadfast fighter for APGA and for this Igbo cause. He risked his life, spent his money and invested his time for APGA.

What you are saying looks a little bit racist, you say Nigeria is just an other African country then you say you have no respect for us. That surely means you don't see South Africa as an African country and that you lack respect for African countries.
Well still on the topic: It says here that Nigeria will overtake South africa by 2025. And it confirms Nigeria will be 6th economic power in 2050.

*Semuhle*Baby*:
Crime is a big problem in South Africa and it is not only "Nigerians" who are getting affected by it, but by us South Africans too, even more so if i should say so. There is no conspiracy theory out to get only Nigerians as many people are victims of crime everyday. We should rather thank God that nobody got seriously hurt during this robbery. But why do some Nigerians love to hate? I thought it was only South Africans that they hated but i have seen that you hate Ghanaians and Kenyans and so on as well then you blame it on jealousy of being the giant of africa huh. Yes in South Africa you get people who hate Nigerians and foreigners in general as am sure there are some in every country all over the world who may also hate Nigerians and foreigners. There are good and bad Nigerians and some people based their experiences entirely on the bad which is why you will see certain people saying certain things but the same can be said about Nigerians. It seems its okay for you guys to go on and on and spread hatred about other nationalities you dislike but when others do the same you condemn it and get worked up about it but when you guys do it yourself then it is okay. Do unto others as you will want to be done unto you. If you show hatred towards others, do not get upset when hatred is shown towards you.
Wrong, we hate those who hate us.

PoliticsRe: Nigeria Has No Reason To Be Poor — EU by Dibiachukwu: 9:42pm On May 02, 2013
A foreigner comes to your village and you accept him. He then makes it a duty of his to identify scums in the village and give them guns and grenades. The scums terrorize the village with the guns and gets other people by their side with gifts. The foreigner then identifies your differences and amplifies it. Telling each faction that the other faction is no good for him! Promising heaven and earth to the co-operating faction. You fight, and he brings his truck to loot your houses. One scum is then replaced with another scum; because you have to be a scum to meddle with scums. A political class of scums have been created. All of them having a bank account with this degenerate foreigner. This foreigner then convinces these leaders to bank and trade in his currency (backed up by nothing). Then this foreigner starts telling you to kill or deprive your people. If you refuse, he seizes your own money. And if he has access to your food, he poisons it cry He then appears on your tv and attacks the very politician that refused to do his bidding. Yes our political class are scums, but who bred this particular political class? Where do they send their money, seek asylum, get their arms? This African village manufactures machetes and guns and light arms. However these political elites have access to machine guns and warships and fighter crafts. They have also refused to allow any local production of this weapons! What amazes me, however, is that these villagers (africans), say I should not blame this foreigner but blame myself for this mess. Yes I blame the political class for being so stupid, but I blame the foreigner more for using the vulnerable in my village to sabotage me! And it is easier to fight the foreigner than to fight the political elites; who look like me and talk like me. The foreigner stands out. He/she is white. So anywhere I see anything remotely associated to white people, I will oppose it to the best of my ability. You can't bring a war to my village and not expect to be burnt. A racist Africa is a free Africa!

It goes on . . . [b]Now God has vindicated the innocent JTF troops who daily risk their lives in the service of fatherland. . . At some point Nigeria would have to decide weather foreign media on Nigeria airwaves; without any Nigerian contributor at all, is more of a menace or not. I don't see the use of feeding pig propaganda to Nigerians. They know this may happen soon. That is why they are screaming "media freedom" now. If I can't sue you for defamation or inciting, you have no business broadcasting in my airwaves. This can't happen yet, until majority of Nigerians perceive pigs as their active enemies. Which is what they are.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Dibiachukwu: 5:33am On May 02, 2013
andrewza: 2 things

One yes africa is source if a number of rare resourses. But non in nigeria. Oil is valbil not rare or only found in nigeria. There are for more pressuis minriels.

Two. They don't need to discredit or even menstion africa in the news to get access to the resourses. Just pay off who ever is in power. If that don't accept put some who will in power.
Exactly. But that is becoming harder and harder. And they can't do direct military. That is the scenario I am telling you is playing out now? That is why they are doing too much propaganda about Nigeria. You are wrong about none in Nigeria, and the trivialization of the importance of oil. And Nigeria can influence a lot of Africa in a lot of ways. Nigeria is immensely important in their game in Africa. A stronger Nigeria means less control of affairs in Africa. Two masters cannot man a boat. So we have learnt the format. And it goes like it. When there is about to be threat to their "interest" abominations in Africa. BBC and CNN becomes the best friends of the African people! A large percentage of Nigerians and Africans don't want foreigners or their companies in Africa. It is only a matter of time before all pigs are kicked out of Africa.
