magnetic20: Op Honestly, once the transmission and engine is bad, you should have stated it
Bro engine and transmission may still be very good, for me if am buying a Nigeria used car, I unusually factor in that I will need to replace the engine and transmission in the near future with tokunbo. Just to be safe. sorry if misled you to thinking car had an existing engine or transmission issue
fykes: Either you are a big thief or a crazy thief... Either way u still a thief or simply u know nothing about Honda baby boy. Which transmission and engine will cost u 400k??
Lolz, no thiefing please was basing my estimate on a quotation for converting an Honda Civic hybrid to conventional that I got from Honda expert . The job also involves engine and gear replacement.
Praxtech: There are loads of cars in that category... Peugeot 206, Peugeot 307, Honda Civic, 1993-2001 Mercedes Benz C180, Kia Rio, Kia Picanto, Volvo S40, Volvo S60.... VW golf MK3, MK4, Nissan Almera,
Ikenna351: * HOW 20-YEAR & 2020 ANNIVERSARY OF MY PEUGEOT 406 V6 STICK-SHIFT WENT DOWN*
Drove the lion into a place and poured his favorite drink into the rear tank. Pulled out my own drink and poured into the stomach. Geared the lion into action towards expressway, where I played with the pedals and gear stick, as my own part, and let the lion do his own part, to do what he knows how to do best: Fun!
Each time I am on fun drive with the lion, I hardly use the gear 5 (the gear 5 would seem like overdrive gear on such drive). The Frenchmen may or may not know how to produce the best cars in the world, but they damn well know how to build fun cars. That, you can't take away from them.
My relationship with this lion is like man and dog. Unconditional love, even though the car annoys me sometimes. In return, he treats me well when I am behind the Wheel, most of the times. Simply put, we both understand each other, just like pals do.
The ES9J4S V6 Engine love to be revved. Thirsty when it does that, but the joy it creates makes that consumption insignificant. Like I said, I hardly go beyond gear 4 on such drive. I mean, I understand why Peugeot used the indestructible DMF on that Engine in D9, instead of solid flywheel, which takes care of vibration from the Engine at those high revs from reaching the stick box.
Apart from moment to moment experiences, memories help to perpetuate happiness, since you re-live those experiences as you remember them. Memories are created by choices we individually make. I can't create yours for you.
March 2013 was when this Peugeot 406 V6 SV Manual started to share my name too. We were meant to co-create these wonderful memories and experiences together. Just like a dog and his friend/owner, one of them will someday say goodbye to the other. Until that day comes, will always remember the 8 years adventures and fun we have had together and many more ahead.
A 20 year old vehicle that has proven to be one of the best reliable, durable & dependable wild fun animal Peugeot ever created. It's as if he hasn't aged at all. In fact, it's like the older he becomes, the quicker he is. You are not just a proof or testimony, but you also have shamed the naysayers that tagged Peugeot 406s as problematic vehicles. Truly, A Car With Attitude!

Dude any rust so far?
There are two car guys that I respect their uncommon passion for their cars ... Valarinz and Ikenna351... I have been an Honda lover come rain come leg pull ... Still will be... But however
I belive Peugeot and volvo are worth sampling at least once
Aaaaarghmed: I would prefer to use a good condition MDX than the ford edge.I heard the ford edge has pricey parts. The acura would be less easier and cheaper to own in Naija and I believe mechs wudnt find it hard to work on.
And don't forget the Ford edge has a water pump driven by timing change, replacing the water pump could be pricy
Oh Ikenna351... Ikenna... Thou almost convince me away from my beloved Honda.. Did Thou use juju ni... Anyways love your review kudos... Just subscribed to your channels
Eddee: He had an accident with the Matrix, so the airbag has done its job.
What I know is: Steering wheels are interchangeable between the 2003-2008 Corolla, Matrix and Pontiac Vibe.
What I also know is: the airbags are not all the same for the Corolla/Matrix/Vibe (not sure a Matrix airbag will work on a Vibe and vice versa) To find out which is which contact Aunty Rad or Gazz for professional advice as some airbags employ just one connector while the same three spoked wheel steering has two connectors.
Eddee: They’re readily available. A brand new Delphi compressor (Vibe) is cheaper than a Denso compressor (Matrix) - I know this because I've bought one. My initial comments were based on the fact that my colleague exported Matrix AC components to his Vibe. He had an accident with his Matrix, and bought a naija used Vibe that just 'needed gas' - we ended up learning a lot after we topped gas . I won't advise anyone goes this route, we only took this path because we had the matrix parts already.
Boss thanks so much for educating me.. Please one last favour, my vibe need driver side airbag sensor, please can I get this part from your friend... I beg thee
