Hi Frau Posh. Please which email address were you sending the email reminders to?
FrauPosh: I ll say just try and be patient. My lawyer visited in October 2023 that was 10 months after my interview in January 2023 up till this moment I haven't received verification complete email. 8 months after lawyer verification I still haven't received verification complete email. July will make it 9 months. So you see say your own even good. I have sent millions of emails to no avail. My patience has run out since. Na sit down dey look I dey now. Waiting is so hard but we will all get there.
Yes, I had my interview. I was not asked to pay for the visa fee. I was told it's because my hubby is German. I was also not asked to pay for verification fee for now. That if they need to do a verification, I will be notified by email and told to pay.
FrauPosh: The lawyer that visited me didn't visit any of my siblings. He said seeing my mum and dad and one friend was sufficient. He only visited one friend .
Please I'm still hoping someone can answer this question.
Didibk: Hello everyone. For those who have been interviewed, does the embassy lawyer visit all the family members and friends listed on your form or they just put a call across to them? Or the only places they physically go to are the schools and hospitals listed on your forms?
Hi guys. For those who have attended their interview as a family or with a parent with kids, do you need a separate courier envelope for each applicant or one envelope is enough as a family?

I booked on January 31st 2023. I emailed them and they confirmed that I'm in the system. Someone above said they've started sending appointment emails to January applicants. Be patient. I'm sure your email will arrive shortly.
I would appreciate it if I could get a response from those who booked for family reunion visa appointment on January 2023. I booked appointment for my wife on 18.01.2023 but she has yet to get an appointment. I wrote to the consulate, I was fortunate to get a response that the waiting time is clearly a year and a half now and that they cannot give me a precise date for appointment.
I want to know if the consulate has issue appointment to people that booked appointments after my wife.
It seems the office in Munich has not submitted the documents to the German embassy in Nigeria. Did your spouse submit all the documents that was required of him/her?
Portex: Please I need your input on this. Who can tell me the meaning of this. What could be the issue:
“The above-mentioned application to issue a visa for the purpose of family reunification, more precisely spousal reunification with your German spouse, is rejected for the following reasons: Despite repeated requests and over a period of three years, we have not yet received the required response from the Munich immigration authorities involved in accordance with Section 31 Paragraph 1 Sentence. 1 No. 1 Residence Act received. The application must therefore be rejected. The remaining grant requirements have not been finalized. Your original documents submitted to the Consulate General Lagos will be returned to you enclosed with this letter.”
You are obviously bitter and angry about something that clearly has nothing to do with me because you do not know me. I just wanted you to acknowledge the fact that you were making women out to be bad in your first comment - which was unnecessary. I could not read all of your lenghty ramblings. Let's stick to why we are on this forum and resist the urge to disparage a group of people. Peace.
pquaver: i know ure lying about the bolded but continue
It is not a bogus assumption.. Madam dis women are no up to 1 percent what are you saying.. Men who did and are still doing it are more than 80%..look at this thread from beginning.. How many men are on the reunion applications as the spouse being brought over in comparison to the women? Is it not clear as daylight that you cant even compare? Ist in us, uk, eu countries, Australia, canada etc are women not the dominant majority being brought over.. You yourself can u leave Nigeria and a guy you are dating without jobwhen u left, you come back u and him will marry and u take him over or are u likely to marry someone else with job, and u boyfriend in Nigeria will become a jobless no level guy to you? But many guys have done exactly that and are still doing it.. What i said is a fact.. Women who did wat u said in Nigeria are not up to 0.5% so what exactly are you saying? You are proof of some women selfishness.. Instead of acknowledging the sacrifices of the men, you want to dismiss it as nothing so that everyone else sees it as nothing, yet it is something u yourself can never do for someone... You sound as unappreciative person... Acknowledge that man.. He went through a lot and gave out a lot to bring you over.. Or put u on that path.. As for the 0.5% of women that did it, did u see anywhere men have said it is nothing or try to reduce it to the level you are doing? Must you people drag yourself into anything that looks like it wants to benefit a man.. Yet u want to keep all benefit to yourself.. If u bring up child bearing.. No man will trivialize it but see how u rush to attempt to rubbish sacrifices of people who gave up many things for u... Seriously u appear not to make a grateful person... How u are not planning to say it is nothing tomorrow for the person, you and am dey do.. Dis 1 u have started trivializing from today... Learn to look from an appreciative perspective
It is wrong to make such a bogus assumption. There are lots of women who file for their husbands to join them when they get there the same way there are lots of men who refuse to bring their wife and kids to join them. Please stop making women out to be bad people. My younger brother's wife filed for him to join her in the UK and he now has a job as a senior BA. And this is one of many people i personally know who filled for their husbands to join them.
pquaver: The life of a man is selfless service.. Kudos.. See as men dey climb up and still drag their wives and kids with them.. But make some wonen first travel dey will lose their senses... All the suffer na wife and kids will end up benefiting every upon all the insults and disrespect the man will receive ooo.. Kudos and more grease to the elbows of the men who overlook the the misbehavior of this daughters of eve and still do the needful.. It is not easy to be a man.. Aswear...
That's it o. If i knew it was going to take this long, i would have applied to go get married over there like someone whose comment is on this thread. It’s a similar process. The difference is that the process is the reverse.
heeedreeez: This is really serious. So if you add up the lawyer visitation time, that is over two years of waiting for family reunion visa
I applied on the 31st of January last year. I haven't gotten an email inviting me for an interview neither did they send an email to update me on the new 18 months waiting time. Na wa o
JahBwoy: Well I applied march last year too but they increased the waiting time to 1 year 6 months. tiring
Wow! 5 months after? Have you tried to send them an email? I suspect that the process has changed because we are in March and i am yet to get an email for our interview. Based on the email i got sent a few years ago when i first attempted this process, they kept to their 12 months timeline then email with an Interview date. It seems all that has changed and there's no email either to at least keep us updated. It's exhausting.
FrauPosh: It's been over 27 months now since I started this FRV process. My lawyer came for verification 10 months after my interview. As if that was not enough, it's been 5 months of resounding silence since the lawyer visited. What's really going on? Has the duration of the whole process been changed? I just want to vent here. My head don full🤯😓😓

We also made a detailed video of this timeline on our channel. Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions.
Hmmm. With this delay, i won't be surprised that the lawyer's verification is still not as speedy as one expects it to be. We have no choice but to wait for the email.
damsellynda95: They are already sending mails for October 2022 applicants, someone that booked 14th October 2022 got her mail this week Friday
Yes, you are right. I already told him that he'll need to write a letter stating that he consents to my child joining us in Germany. He said he's going to write the letter. It's better to have additional documents and prepare for any eventuality. Thank you.

Mopricelezz: 1. Your dad or mum has to go to the court to swear the Affidavit of Spinsterhood. Has to be done by either of your parents and at the court, stating that you were not married to anyone before you got married to your spouse.
2. I sincerely have no idea how to go about this, the letter has to be written by your spouse in Germany but since he isn't the child's father, I am not sure how to go about it.. .. I hope others can help with this
3. This also has to also be sworn at the court declaring your age and when you were born, it has to also be done by either of your parents.
Hello. Please what documents for the child needs to be notarized?
Franzzy01: Please I need help. I am doing pass for my child. My child was verified during family reunion verification. We went for appointment in Dec, I was told that I would go back the second time for notarization (still waiting for the appointment). Please I want to ask, when I go for the notarization appointment, will everything be done that day or will there be another visit to embassy again? Please I need help on this German pass process. Thanks
Hello everyone. Please I need clarity on some documents needed by the embassy.
1. Affidavit from parent or head of the family on the Applicant's marital status (declaration of spinsterhood). Does this mean that my father has to get this in court or he just need to write a short letter stating what exactly? Is it the normal spinsterhood affidavit but instead it is written and signed by my father?
2. Informal written consent of the parent living in Germany for the child to join. In my case, I am the one married to a German so technically, I am the main applicant. I have custody from a magistrate court for my child from a previous relationship and my child is coming with me. Am I the one that should write a consent letter or my husband in Germany?
3. Affidavit "declaration of age" deposed to by one of the parents. Should this be a court document like question 1? What do they mean by "deposed to by one of the parents" please?
