Louislewis: When Obasanjo came on board, he was left with 3.5 billion dollars in our reserve without complaining. He took this nation to a point of settling our debts. When Jonathan was going, our reserve was at 30.6 billion dollars according to Obasanjo, which he(Jonathan) left with present government. But when the party of "I will, I will" electioneering campaign slogan, without economic blueprint, came on board, they started with blame games, propagandas and lies of meeting empty treasury to cover up their no-ideas of well articulated economic policies ahead of their weaknesses and fear of failure. Till today, so many people are still believing on the propagandas and lies of billions and millions being stolen and returned, yet non of them have been taken to regular court for proper prosecution, due to lack of evident to cover up cooked up figures levied against them by EFCC and their masters (APC govt.) All still bores down to ways of brainwashing their followers on how bad things seem to be to cover up their weakness and failure. Today the situation has gone bad so much that instead of improving from what they met on ground, situations have degenerated far below what they met. They are still on their blame games of cooked up looted and return figures by their perceived enemies just to be deceiving and diverting the attentions of the masses from their weakness and failure, at the same time trying to paint ugly picture of situation in the country caused by previous government to destroy them more. Due to no knowledge on how the slogan "I will I will" will transcend into proper economic blueprint and policies realities, they stylishly dodged the presidential debate where questions based on economic policies will be asked. Today, we are seeing the effects of that. We have seen part with the drafting of 2016 budget which was finally managed to be accepted by house to cover their failure of not being able to draft ordinary budget. Budget I called "Mockery Budget" Whoever that is hoping that things will be better is just daydreaming. You will hope, hopelessly until the next 12 yrs when we may likely get power shift if at all the nation called Nigeria will be in existence. Please sit back and ask yourself these questions- Why do we have our exchange rate in such high condition. Ans- is because, that is the major business of the northern that are in government, majorly true owners of Bureau De Change. They have access to bank for foreign currencies at official rate, while you and I, which is denied of such access, go to parallel market to buy at exorbitant rate Why are we buying fuel at this rate now? Ans- because 90 percent of our oil blocks are owe by the northerns, majorly our pasted and present northern leaders, with their relations in one form or the other. Why is a fruit of tomato costlier than a fruit of Apple? Ans- because they, the northern are the major producers. This same reasons go for the present price of rice today which is sold from 18000 to 20000 naira now for a bag. Why are we being so deceived by the excuses few cabals of this government is giving to jack up prices of commodities in line with northern's interest of business to our own (the masses) detriment and some of you are so myopic in reading the full handwriting on the wall? I wish you the best, continue with your daydreaming of good governance while your pockets continue to experience a quick dilapidation of content to abject poverty due to this government unfriendly policies. GEJ and Yaradua met a reserves at $60 Billion, experienced a tenure with the highest oil Prices ever and left the seat with an empty excess crude account and a paltry $30 billion in External reserves.. stop telling lies |

groundnutoil: A bill before the National Assembly seeking to expand the scope of Sharia law in Nigeria and elevate it to a federal law has been circulating online.
The Trent has obtained an official National Assembly notice paper which shows that a bill to alter Nigeria’s 1999 Constitution to increase the jurisdiction of the Sharia Court in the Federal Capital Territory of Abuja and the Northern states with Sharia has indeed passed its 2nd hearing in March 2016.
The document shows that the House of Representative took the second reading of the Sharia Expansion Bill on Thursday, May 12, 2016 and the bill is being sponsored by Abdullahi Balarabe Salame, a representative from Sokoto State. He was elected under the platform of the All Progressives Congress and has been representing Gwadabawa/Illela constituency since 2011. Salame is a one-time speaker of the House of Assembly in Sokoto State and holds degrees in Islamic studies.
The section in the paper says, “A Bill for an Act to Alter the Provisions of Section 262 and 277 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 to increase the Jurisdiction of the of the Sharia Court of Appeal of the Federal Capital Territory and the Sharia Court of Appeal of a State by including Criminal Matters of Hudud and qisas and for Other Related Matters; (HB. 530) (Hon. koboko69: The late President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua became Nigeria's president on May 29 2007. As at the time, he met an external debt of about $3,348.22 billion, and foreign reserves of about $45.0 billion and also a growing oil price of about $90/barrrel. The Nigeria's Bonny Light Crude Oil Spot Price FOB which was $95.16 per barrel in January 2008 rose to $146.15 in July 2008 before declining to $76.24 per barrel by October 17 2008. Thus, within four months, it had lost 50% of its peak price. Within this period, Yar'Adua was able to grow the external reserves to about $64 billion. During the global financial crises, Nigeria capital markets, and banking industry were hit, coupled with the dwindling oil prices. The nation‘s foreign reserves decelerated from $64 billion in August 2008 to $47 billion as at March 2009, a 27% decrease, as the government had to resort to the ECA which is also part of the national reserves. However according to records by CBN; Nigeria’s growth trajectory was not significantly impaired. The real Gross domestic Product (GDP) growth rate which averaged 6.29 percent between 2004 and 2007 declined marginally to 5.99 per cent in 2008 rising thereafter to 6.9 percent in 2009. This is often attributed to the impressive performance of the non-oil sector, particularly, agriculture and the continuous implementation of sound macroeconomic policies. The external reserves was, however, still able to support at least 15 months of imports. In conclusion, the foreign reserves played a major factor in the survival of the economy before the early dismiss of President Yar'Adua. Goodluck Jonathan's takeover; After President's Yar'Adua's Dismiss, President Jonathan took over May 05 2010. He met a foreign reserve of about $47. 7 billion and external debt of about $3.94 billion Dollars. While Jonathan was unable grow the foreign reserves like his predecessor during the oil boom remains unclear. How the external debt rose to an alarming rate remains unclear. Buhari also met a subsidy debt of about N600bn. How subsidy claims rose from N320bn to a whooping 2 trillion Naira under his administration remains unclear till this day. Buhari also took over with oil price selling below $50/barrel whch later dwindled to as low as $28/barrel. The price of crude remains below $50/barrel today. The current oil production rate have also dwindled with the renewed activities of some misguided, and deluded criminals in the name of Avengers in the ND region. Politics › Re: Chibok Girls Vs Ese Oruru: The Contrasting Conspiracy Theories Of Jonathanians by diegwu01(op): 7:36pm On May 23, 2016 |
diegwu01: By Churchill Okonkwo
http://saharareporters.com/2016/05/23/chibok-girls-vs-ese-oruru-charming-contrasting-conspiracy-theories-jonathanians-churchill
Any Jonathanian that championed the free Ese campaign but remains in denial of the Chibok Girls tragedy is a two-tailed lizard promoting ape-level conspiracy theories. So, I hope I will be sufficiently understood in telling the unashamed surrogates of President Jona that the lost period of 2010-2015 is gone. We have finished the Nunc Dimittis! Your hero Oga Jona lost an election and it’s ALL OVER!! Dumb Jonathan is gone, Ese has been ‘rescued’ but Chibok Girls are still missing! Stop selecting facts and interpreting them based on your conflicting visions while draining your political energy.
After fuming about Ese, you have now kept mute on the rescue of my sister Amina, one of the Chibok Girls. I have waited for you to at least show some feelings on the plight of those girls and their parents, but you have refused. Instead of bowing your heads in shame, you have degenerated to the lowest possible level of humanity (below apes) by making mockery of people undergoing real trauma and pain.
For Ese, "Free Ese" trended in social media. But after the rescue of Amina, pictures of irresponsible adults and parents with wrappers as veils trended on social media. You complained about the Muslim veil used to cover Ese’s hair after the “forceful” conversion to Islam. But you have suddenly turned blind to the same veil on Amina’s hair. In your crooked mind, Ese was abducted by Yinusa, while Amina – a fairy tale character - absconded to join her Boko Haram ‘lover.’ Ese was 6-months pregnant and you screamed ‘abomination’ and called for the stoning of her boyfriend. Yet, when Amina showed up with a 4-months malnourished baby and a terrorist ‘husband,’ you lost your voice. Were you delighted too?
In the case of Ese, you immersed yourself in fear mongering, raising false alarm because it promotes your disillusioned conspiracy theory of the Islamization of Nigeria by your archenemies Buhari and Sanusi. You threatened Armageddon in order to save your Christian sister. Now that the “Jihadist’s” dogged determination against Boko Haram has resulted in the rescue of one of your Christian sisters, Amina, you’ve chosen to keep living in doubt. To you, Chibok Girls remains a cock and bull story used to kick your hero Oga Jona out. This is the same Jona that assigned $40 million for the rescue of the Girls and pocketed $35 Million with his Principal Secretary.
Despite these apparent contradictions, Jonathan’s surrogates have chosen politics over principles and I'm shivered at their unashamed political conspiracy theories. Even when they have been exposed and stripped naked, they are not ashamed. To insist that the truth about the Chibok Girls remains a ‘cock and bull story,' you’d have to assume that everyone who has in one way or another been involved in attempts to rescue the Girls was part of the cover-up including the Chibok Girls' parents, GEJ, Okonjo Iwuala, the Nigerian Army, International Organizations, etc.
As the Chibok community and parents of Amina were enjoying their reunion, the Nigerian Military released ‘False Positive’ news of the rescue of another Chibok Girl, Serah. But according to Haruna Mutali, a community leader in Chibok, their background checks revealed that Miss Serah Luka, was an SSS 1 learner at GSS Chibok, who was abducted by the insurgents in her home in Madagali but not in the school with the other Girls. Rather than seeing this clarification (fact-checking) by the community that cross-checked Serah’s name against their list of authentic Chibok Girls as an element of credibility, Jona’s surrogates have jumped on this as a confirmation of their conspiracy theory. Meanwhile, Amina’s confirmation by the same community group is still being treated with dangerous mental biases.
How could this be? How could so many Jonathanians, in the name of skepticism be promoting so many absurdities? Is it safe to conclude that this conspiracy chatter is a form of mental illness? No, it’s not a mental illness, but the prevalence of such belief, hardwired to suspect everything should be taken more seriously. We understand that distrust of the present administration is part of the issue, but a distrust that cultivates blind-half-baked conspiracy theory almost to the point of ignorance rather than critical thinking is shameful.
You tell yourselves that you’re the ones who see the lies, and the rest of us are sheep. The danger in this fascinating psychology of conspiracy theory is that once you buy into the first theory, with its premises of efficacy, the next seems that much more plausible. So, you continue to alienate yourself rather than objectively evaluating evidences. You denigrate the information, which you disagree with while accepting compatible information almost at face value.
Since majority of the Jonathanians are Christians, their rationale to celebrate Ese’s ‘liberation’ while still not acknowledging the existence of Chibok Girls is wicked. I know that Jesus Christ will be shaking His head from above and be wondering how people that claim to be Christ-like have missed the whole essence of His teaching on how we should behave towards enemies and friends. The life that Christ lived was accentuated by His love and compassion for the lost – a supreme example of what Christian behavior should look like.
Oh, so because you are caught in the bubble of solipsistic reality, you demonize people with different visions. Can’t you see that Jesus is weeping because you are crucifying Him the second time? As a Christian, how should you treat somebody in pain? How evil could you be that your heart is so hardened over your neighbor’s plight? You go to church every Sunday, take Holy Communion, yet, your heart is filled with evil and malice.
Will Cuppy once pointed out that "mother mice have babies all year round from four to thirteen. They don't know when to stop." One year after Jonathan, his surrogates are still producing ugly babies. They keep coming up with nonsensical garbage on how every action and inaction of this administration is designed to extinguish them. I read and dissect the evidence in their conspiracy theories only to find out that a five-year-old kid can poke holes on their reasoning simply because they all contradicted each other. Buhari is spreading Islam by kidnapping Ese and crushing Boko Haram while rescuing your Christian sister. Haba! Even Donald Trump can do better.
Sorry for wasting your time, it was not my intent to change your mind. Conspiracy theorists will always be conspiracy theorists. However, always remember that yesterday according to Mother Theresa is gone and tomorrow has not yet come. You have only today, so, leave that your yester years mentality of ‘them vs us’ binary life. Free yourself guys!

By Churchill Okonkwohttp://saharareporters.com/2016/05/23/chibok-girls-vs-ese-oruru-charming-contrasting-conspiracy-theories-jonathanians-churchillAny Jonathanian that championed the free Ese campaign but remains in denial of the Chibok Girls tragedy is a two-tailed lizard promoting ape-level conspiracy theories. Free yourself guys! http://www.saharareporters.com/2016/05/23/chibok-girls-vs-ese-oruru-charming-contrasting-conspiracy-theories-jonathanians-churchill

Funny Statistics everywhere, Who statistics don epp? where they get their numbers God knows, How many Nairalanders have lost their jobs since last year, Perhaps we should carry out our own statistics here.
One the other hand there certainly would be Job losses when we encourage some Criminals to Blow up pipelines and cripple the economy because we hate the President. We encourage subsidies on PMS while Manufacturers and the Poor are the ones that really need the subsidies on Diesel and kerosine |
