How many state government is not using tax consultants?
Any state....i repeat any state that has claimed to or have increased its IGR uses consultants....quote me anywhwer.
The reasons are simple
1. Most state governors lack capacity to collect taxes fully...they need help of these consultants to reach almost every eligible tax payer.
2. It reduces graft and wastages in revenue collection and most states prefer paying between 5 to 10 commision to consultants rather than allowing civil servants steal 50% and still not collect taxes from more that 20% eligible tax payers.
