Not all province require you have a valid job offer. Manitoba needs you to have a link in Manitoba to help you with settlement plans. Either a close relative or friend. You get points for that. Think its a must sef. So if you have one. Give it a shot.

Ontario nominates candidate with CRS above 400. (from my research). So if you don't mind writing IELTS again to boost your CRS. Give it a shot

I think your occupation was part of the OID in sask. Prepare docs ready and chill to see when sask. OID open next

In the link I sent you is a sub link to the official immigration website of all the provinces. Each one has their own program and their individual requirements. Study each site and see what the requirements are, the ones for which you can get the requirements are the ones you should focus on applying to. The occupation ceiling is almost full, with less than 200 slots left; if you can increase your overall points, do. Maybe rewrite english test and get 20 points (that's if you don't have that already), it will increase your chances of getting an invite on time. Mechanical engineers is now on pro-rata, so you need 70 points to get an invite.

@jukeblam...This is not encouraging at all for prospective applicant like me....since it is on Pro-rata ....does it mean one can't apply for 190 if one doesn't meet up with 70points or are States sponsoring 190 not considering mechanical engineers?

Well, payslip na payslip.. if you cant get something that matches their specifications completely, you submit what you have and leave them to decide... Afterall employment letter dey.... if they are not sure, the worst they can do is to refuse to recognize your employment..

You'll still get assessed for your qualification.
