I was thinking is on the 26th of this month. However, EOI's site keep awarding me 5points for experience. Someone should help out on this. |

Azy123: Probably to ensure people don't just cram responses especially for repeated takers like us. I think the best thing is to prepare for all possible images and not over focus on the popular images. Pictures and maps included. The exam memory is coming back now, Imagine I got 4 pictures and 2 wicked line graphs. No bar chart, pie chart.
1 is a picture of London. Left side of picture, london in 17xx & right side of picture London in present day. Hmm, that was "wicked" indeed. I do like your spirit, I believe if you can try improve content- wise, you will nail it next time. |

Azy123: Diggy. I think when we speak too fast we tend to muddle our words up and it therefore affects pronunciation. With practice I believe we can improve both.
In my own case my last 2 attempts both increased. But I must have missed out some important contents on the Describe image sections. Since my pronunciation is not that great . Content is important for me. I got 4 strange pictures (not bar graph, line graph, map or cycle which I had over prepare for)
Last attempt Speaking 72 - OF 80, P - 45 Most recent attempt Speaking 70 - OF 89, P - 49 ( total score decreased, thougb fluency and pronuciation increased due to low content in image description i believe) You are very correct, I feel days are gone when one will just use a template and say anything and come out with a 79+. It seems PTE-A has been upgraded. |

Azy123: Apparently it is not easy to increase pronunciation in a short period of time. But it increased You tried... The mystery still remains why pronunciation increase affects fluency. I mean increase in fluency decreases pronunciation. |

Do I stand a chance for PR ? I need advise please. Thanks. Yes, you perfectly do.However, you need to write a CDR, get a mouthwatering English score, PTE-A or IELTs,and also tailor your job's reference letter to suit that of a mechanical engineer, so you can claim this your years of experience with EA. Hope this helps. |

bellong: I think the biggest challenge to 190 is a job offer. You have to apply for jobs first in Tasmania and if you get the job, you will attach the offer as evidence.
489 does not have such condition.
Is Tasmania the only state sponsoring your occupation? Nope. There are a couple of states sponsoring it but with stricter conditions ranging from having an asset valued at 35,000aud in NT to paying huge application fee in NSW's Far south coast for 489 and many other stringent conditions.Although, this is just a back up plan while I try wait for an improved English score ,and hopefully 189. |

@bellong, Thank God you are back and strong, you will always overcome. Please, I intend sending my application to Tasmania for nomination for both 489 and 190 but, I don't know how some of the requirements look like. I mean letter of commitment to Tasmania and evidence to show that ones occupation is available in Tasmania's job market. |

Hi house, sorry for the absence. I left Murtala Muhammad Airport on Friday 18th by 6pm.. Emirates... Booked via IOM ... #371,682. Stopped over at Dubai... They had another stop at Bangkok that wasn't on the itinerary... Anyway, arrived Sydney on Sunday 7:45am Sydney time... Passed through immigration in about 30 seconds... They didn't ask for any document.... They didn't even stamp my passport sef... Merely swiped it on one kind machine... Collected luggage, they put it through an xray machine and declared that I was good to go... Got out of the airport. Was picked up by my surest people (Jamson and McTowel01)..
I've been doing the necessary Medicare, bank account, etc stuff...
Thanks to everyone who helped make this a reality.. Really appreciate.
First impressions? I prefer this place to the UK already.. Wide roads, big houses.. Really cool.. Still settling down,... I'll update the house when there's more news.. Cheers.. Congrats bro. May God make you shine over there. |

jayooh: So this EA people gat me thinking, can't they ever complete the assessment within the alloted 15days or the 15days must elapse before they even assign someone's file. Because after paying for "fast track" the latter will be disappointing.
Must applicant always send them mails before they forward your outcome?
Abeg make assessed Engineers shook mouth o Mine was a week and some days, just relax. |

lekinsbaba: Hello house,
First, I would like to know if I can add NYSC to my year of experience. Again I want to submit my application to EA to asesss both qualification and experience by November. However, I will be 4years 8months by then(Nysc inclusive). Can I claim points for 5years when submitting EOI by march next year ?
Thanks. Yes, don't assess that experience with EA, to save you some money, just go ahead, claim the point and submit your EOI with the required documents and wait for DIPB to do their job. |

I think it's high time we let that lady know we are not comfortable with her actions, she needs to change. My up man sort of karamo her before she gave us the real cost. So, let like 5 of us agree to call this mini witch/ cheat whose name begins with "R" and give her stern warnings. She should stop milking us, if she helps anyone of us and such a person want to breathe on her that's a different ball game. @mamajaz, I called but, the rate he gave is the same that I was avoiding so, I used another option. |
