raumdeuter: His team is still in transition, he cant offload all the old guys at once. There is still Yaya, Kompany to offload and the issue of Aguero
Thats why my target for him is to finish ahead of Mourinho. If he finishes ahead of Mourinho he has met my expectation anything more is a bonus How is aguero an issue? Jesus is benching him already plus he scores whenever he comes in as a sub. So no issue there. Alonzo, lahm, babstuber and injury prone hummels didn't stop Pep from wrecking havoc in your league why should Yaya and kompany stop Pep from winning the epl? |

Thats my expectation. To best Mourinho in the League and CL Lol....anyways no excuse for Pep going into the new season but if you have any excuse like e.g age factor, kindly state them now. I expect Pep to win the league minimum. If he chooses to fail in Europe that won't be news. For mou, I wish him and manUrinated relegation. |

He did nt gv them chance etc. Why are we nt doing the same nw? Kindly be specific about the players so we can be clear on which to agree or disagree on bcuz that fvcktard did destroy the chances of alot of players in CFC. |

When you take a look at the way players are being handled in this club you will know there is a problem somewhere, how you choose to interpret it is left to you. |

With Chalobah, there's been a recurring theme.
Go to Championship, Play.
Step up to top league, Stall.
Go back to Championship, Play.
Step up to top league, Stall.
That boy is never going to be sold for more than 30m despite being English.
Don't worry about buy back clause, he should go and never look back lest pillar of salt fall on him... We will have to wait and see what happens. |

I am only glad boys are beginning to take their future seriously. Buying a 23yr old midfielder when chalobah is still struggling to get playing time is a clear indication of the clubs plan for him. I particularly like the fact that he refused signing a new contract of 70k per week so he can be benched again before being loaned out.
In 2 to 3yrs time maybe we will try getting him back for 60-80mil after selling him for 7mil if he improves significantly. This club will never learn how to manage their prospects properly. |

Griffon: I believe there is something called mental toughness in football.
It's that part of science of football which enhances the performance of a player and a big contributor to the development of the complete footballer.
I have gone through the list of the Serie A players who all flopped in England and it seems they all shared one thing in common - absence of mental strength.
While in EPL, the likes of Pelle, Bojinov, Bianchi et al, never showed a high level of commitment and passion for the game to suggest they were in possession of a healthy mental strength. When they got marked out, that was the end of it. No willingness to fight and prove a point. They all relied heavily on their skill-set, which eventually let them down.
That was the case with Fernandud Torres. Amazing goal poacher at Liverpool, switched to Chelsea for 50mil, too many expectations, low mental strength, FLOP!
Conversely, Belotti is different. This dude is a beast, both in his mind and on the outside. Belotti is the scrapper, boasting tenacity, intensity and presence in the final third, and will do whatever it takes to put the ball in the back of the net, pushing defenders around and giving no quarter to his opponents (sic). Someone described him as a 'young Tevez' here.
Balotelli was able to show flashes of greatness because he was in possession of this mental toughness, it was his character that cut his time at City short.
I believe a trend can NOT go on forever. There used to be a time Chelsea were cursed down the RB position. We went from Ferreira to Geremi, Bouhlahrouz, Belleti, Bosingwa until Ivanovic came calling and then Azpilicueta.
The Serie A might have churned out failures in the past, but hey, that trend can always come to an end. I'll bet my 7 inches c0rk that Belotti and Dybala would both do fine outside the shores of italy. You just had to codedly advertise the size of ur c0rk right? abeg were dem bres-tars of this thread? I am sure one of them will be dying to have you for dinner |
