The days when NTA used to show world cup matches, AIT gets broadcast signal from NTA. NTA in turn gets signal from sky sports in the UK or maybe beIN sports in Doha, Qatar. At the end of first half or full time, NTA will show am advert of indomie noodles, wema bank, OK pops, premier soap or dano milk . AIT on the other hand will let's say advertise Chivita, gala, Omo detergent, peak milk etc.

So you mean to tell me the omo detergent AIT is advertising is coming from NTA or the indomie noodles NTA is advertising is coming from the UK or Qatar? Are viewers in UK and Qatar also seeing adverts of indomie, wema bank and gala ? . Same applies to DStv and CNN. The globacom and dangote advert you're seeing is coming from DStv and not CNN.

but I still maintain base on what I watch that most of advert I watch on CNN from where I base are Nigerians company. Be it regional or not but have nothing connected to Nigeria.

If dstv can filter what adverts you see in Nigeria, then the cable companies in Europe can filter what adverts you see in Frauenfeld or Gothenburg.
But if you see a Glo advert in Europe, that is because Europe, Middle East and Africa are bunched together as a region on CNN international and those adverts are targeted at that particular market at that time.

Maybe you are not even in Frauenfeld as you claim. Who knows?

If you are talking about Glo sponsorship of African voices, it's a vastly different kettle of fish. African voices is a program on CNN international and who else would sponsor it but an African company? That's why you see Glo there. But you can not be watching the main news hour in Germany and then they give you a dangote or a Glo advert. Haba!

You won't be watching CNN in Germany or India and be seeing African voices being aired. They'll replace it with another program. Let me give you a perfect example. Goal. com, the popular football website founded by the Austrians Chicco Merighi and Gianluigi Longinotti-Buitoni filter news according to your region. They will give a generic or world news like "real Madrid tables 80M for sadio mane". That's the same news you'd see if you're viewing any where in the world even if you're in Fiji or the comoros. Same with CNN, CNN international will give you news about Corona virus or an Iranian leader killed by a drone. That's the same thing any viewer of CNN outside the USA would be seeing from anywhere in the world. However, some side attractions (programs) are for targeted audience alone. African voices is there for the African audience. You won't see African voices being aired by a satellite/cable decoder from Europe or Asia having broadcast rights to CNN international. A good example for this is the same goal. com we were talking of earlier on. If you're browsing from Nigeria, you'd see a news about "Ahmed Musa being called up by the super eagles" or " the super falcons defeated Cameroon 1-0". You can't be browsing from Brazil or England or South Korea and see that kind of news there. You'll be seeing something else related to their country or region.
And for the advert part, that one is controlled and done by DStv itself.

I know some are targeted audience just like I show Gloworld screenshot how they target Europe, Africa and middle east audience and not only in Africa. Call someone you know in Europe ask him what I'm talking about before you come here to educate me.

I was in southafrica last year and I didn't see any advert on CNN from glo and dangote like I usually did in Nigeria. It was mainly southafrican adverts I was seeing. I think the ads are handled by DStv. Moreover, these things are targeted. You can't be watching CNN in the UK or Europe and they'd be airing "African voices" ( sponsored by glo).. you will get to see something like European voices sponsored by at%t or watching CNN in India, you will see Asian voices sponsored by sk telecoms.. the kind of programs they air and adverts are targeted. In DStv càse, they control all the adverts on the satellite including the ones you see on CNN.
