Politics / My Fairly Interpretation Of Section 134 (2)(b) Of 1999 Constitution As Amended by dignity33: 10:16am On Apr 08, 2023
Section 134(2)(b) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended) is clear and unambiguous, direct and simple.

The literal interpretation of this section is that a candidate must secure 1/4th (25%) of votes cast in 2/3rd of the entire 36 States of Nigeria and 1/4th (25%) of votes cast in FCT.

What the constitution are saying here is that before you will be declared a winner of presidential Election in Nigeria, you must score 2/3rd of 36 states including Abuja. In another word if you have 25% in 24 states of Nigeria it must include Abuja. So Abuja is compulsory.

Another example is 9 subject you wrote in Waec. The law said you must get 6 credit including English and maths if you have to pass. It means that even if you scored credits in 7 subject without English and maths you did not meet the requirements but if you get six subjects , English and maths must be included.

So for those who said Abuja is regarded as a state, is practically don’t change anything because it means that you must get 25% in Abuja with 25% in other 23 states for you to be declared winner.

Igbo need to form alliance with other regions politically.
They should start this by embracing those elective office holders in their regions as friends not enemy.
One thing I noticed about the Ibos, not matter how well you performed in your first tenure, once you pitch tent with APC you automatically become their enemy. The case of rochas okorocha is a notable example.
Complete national alliance is what the Ibos need politically to turn things around.

Do not see any party as enemy party no matter what . Let other regions have confidence in your rigion.
Politics is a game of numbers so, you need people to be in the game.

Check obi's performance in the core north in the presidential election.
Extremely poor.

No man is an island.
We need each other to survive.

Politics / Re: Lagos Is No Man's Land, Is Simple A Claim Ownership By Yoruba. by dignity33: 9:28am On Mar 20, 2023
Padipadi:
You didn't write the history well. If you can't see the language, you can see the culture, names of street etc. What arsonists like you are looking for, you ll get it. Until you are all treated in the language you understand.
And soon, the real Lagosians that LP claimed they fielded will come and say the real history. But before that time, this is the history of Lagos.

1. Eko (Lagos has always been a prosperous town. It was first recorded around 12-13th century when Odua needed sea water and Oranyan was sent to Lekki to fetch him bar beach water. It sound like a joke but it's true history. In ancient times, Yorubas go there to fetch sea water for medicinal use fishing etc till it became a town that's inhabited.

2. It was first inhabited by Aworis and later Ijebus, Egbas Oyos and Ijeshas.

3. Around 17th century, it produces first King. A Benin prince named Ado who is Yoruba by blood ancestry cos he's a descendant of Oranmiyan. Remember Oranyan was first Oba of Benin.

4. Even if the white men didn't make Lagos capital, it's closeness to the sea is enough blessings which was already developed by Yorubas.

5. It's not a no man's land. It's Yorubaland.

6. Yorubas aren't chasing Igbos in Lagos. It's some set of Igbos that meddled in the state's politics. They would v bitten more than they can chew if they did so in other parts. But cos Lagos is their commercial target, they focused on Lagos and forgot south east. I doubt if LP will produce any governor in this 2023 election.

7. About Hausas killing Yorubas, everyone knows Hausa/Fulanis are animals. They kill anywhere even in south east. They v been curtailed before and will be dealt with if they try nonsense again. You should ask of the concluding details of Ilorin wars and see how Yorubas used their skulls to drink water.
Also, anytime Hausa Fulanis try rubbish in Lagos, ordinary OPC checkmate them easily. They are there respecting themselves and if they try rubbish, they collect wotowoto!

8. Yorubas believed in one Nigeria. If Igbos want Biafra, they ll sort it alone. If they want support of Yorubas, they should be humble enough to come and meet their elder brother and ask for support with respect.
Yorubas aren't minority tribes in south south that Igbos can oppress. What the whole Hausa/Fulanis dare not, Igbos are daring it. Una wan die?

Politics / Igbo Votes Is Inconsequential But Every Election They Must Attack Them To Elect by dignity33: 9:18am On Mar 20, 2023
They claim that igbo voters are inconsequential but every Election all the candidates will claim to be igbos friend in other to win or resulted to attack igbos to suppress their vote in other to win.

The whole truth is that igbo is most populated tribe in Nigeria that cut accross every section of Nigeria and the day you started attacking them, that mark you end. Buhari is example of failure another one is loading.

Politics / Lagos Is No Man's Land, Is Simple A Claim Ownership By Yoruba. by dignity33: 8:51am On Mar 20, 2023
Lagos is not a Yoruba land forget that narrative that Lagos belong to Yoruba is a fallacy from a pit of hell. Lagos is as the same as Johannesburg in South Africa . Johannesburg and Pretoria no tribes are claiming the ownership.

Yoruba knows this that is why they are angry about that especially to igbos because they fully aware that is only igbos who stand against oppressor and injustice.

Aside Federal Government contribution to Lagos, igbo is the next that has contributed much for the development of that state through their taxes and Businesses. What does Yoruba contribute to Lagos, touth and agboros who there work are extortion and harassment of hardworking people.

Politics / Many Of Yoruba Owned Oil Wells In Niger-delta. by dignity33: 8:35am On Mar 08, 2023
I don't want to say I hate Yoruba because there are some good people among them but the way they promote tribalism in Nigeria make me to rethink about them. Why is it that is only in Yoruba land that this hatred about igbo people always emanated.

Many Nigeria from different ethnic Nationality have migrated to lagos do to the fact that lagos was Federal capital territory , they contributed immensely for Building of lagos but why is it that Yoruba always after igbo people?

Politics / Tinubu Dementia Make Him Unfit To Run For President He Should Be Disqualified. by dignity33: 5:44am On Feb 01, 2023
Electoral act prohibited a candidate who is medical unfit to run for President of the country. Tinubu is total unfit to run for President base on medical issue. Tinubu has proven that he cannot think or say something on his own without some of his aid telling him what to say and what to do. Always committing blunders each time he was left to say something.

I don't know what PDP or other political parties are waiting to drag him to court on medical basis, you don't need a soothsayer or any medical proof to know that. There are many videos to prove that.

Using of bullion van is not illegal. Bullion van is used to carry money and other valuables. If you need it,you can apply for it. It can be used by private individuals, government and companies. It can be used regardless of the amount of money especially for security reason. If you got the bank to collect money and you feel insecured you can apply for bullion van. The use of a bullion van is not a crime anywhere in the world.

APC and PDP think that displaying crowds induce with money means that Nigeria has accepted them.
Let me tell you why many of Peter Obi supporter don't attend rallies reason.
Most Obidient have already made up their mind to vote Obi come rain come shine.
Obidient are mostly educated Nigeria , who don't have time attending rallies because of work .
The large number of Obidient members are business people and can not leave their business for political rallies.
Majority of Peter Obi supporters are not supporting him because of money but for the good of Nigeria.
Intimidation and fear of APC thugs and unknown.

So now Nigeria is not zoo again abi? Bunch of confused peeps!
Because ethnic bigotry have crowded your sense of reason. Point of correction the people you call 5% is the most populated tribe in Nigeria, that caught across half of South South and North Central. Peter Obi is the only candidate that accepted across all the tribe in Nigeria. Not Emi lokan or milkano.

This one started his own tears early. If you claim to have millions of Nigerians behind you, how do you explain 1000 people not showing up in your rally? Check the Kogi LP rally today, you guys are even ashamed to post the rally.

Awareness has already been created for people to know the party Peter Obi belong to. Nigerians have already accepted that and now waiting on that day of Election.
