I have written this on another thread but I think it is worth repeating. When we are desperate, we look for anything to cure us.

I do not think Hydroxychloroquine or Remdesivir should be the choice of cure for this deadly virus we are still struggling with.

There are other drugs out there that are being tested along, not to mention traditional home remedies used as prevention before any flu or disease sets in.

What is surprising in all of these is how we are ready to crucify and even ignore our own masks and respirators from Innoson, Ilaro Politech, Abuja and from Senegal

While some of us celebrate the man who prescribe disinfectants as cure.

This is an org Trump recently stopped US from funding due to bias in fight against this pandemic, if you You think that such Org would approve any drug from Africa to fight this pandemic then you'll have to wait till eternity. It's not about lacking belief in one's self. It's about adding expertise to yours. Doctors from different parts of the world have different knowledge and practices that you can exploit and there is no harm in this.

This is why I find the Nigerian Medical Association's reaction to the Chinese doctors arriving laughable. They interpreted it as a threat to their privileges and a lack of confidence in their expertise - a triumph of ego/pride, driven by insecurity, over scientific collaboration.
