You know Nigerian HR mentality Nigerian hr personnel need a lot of exposure. |

sean1000x: I hope that staff is fake. Does Buhari understand the symbolism of that staff/offor he is holding? Have you not read the bible of Moses with the same staff? I hope he knows before Amadioha will strike him mercilessly because his hand is not clean. Only special sons of the land approved by our ancestors like Nnamdi Kanu, Eze Nri, e.t.c., can hold that staff. he is the commander in chief dude. Get over yourself. |

My example was based on the insufficient information you provided.
@bolded, are you saying pocohantas is a fraudster? dont be silly. I took my time to address you responsibly, you better behave |

Phones › Re: A Nairalander Explains How To Block USSD Service To First Bank Customers by dingbang(op): 2:48pm On Oct 06, 2018 |
LuciferKristi: Here's a simple example...
*pocohantas disables USSD on mugu's account by dialling *894*911#.
*pocohantas dials mugu & introduces herself as a First Bank staff from the head office who has noticed a problem / potential hack on his account.
*Mugu tries an online transaction & finds this to be true. (at this point, Mugu panics & his guard is down)
*pocohantas blows more "foneh" & eventually asks mugu to provide his bank PIN as final step / verification.
]Mugu complies.
[s]*pocohantas redials *894*911# & reactivates Mugu's USSD service.[/s]
*Mugu verifies this & thanks her.
3 hours later Mugu starts receiving debit alerts... its actually good to ask questions just like I posted. A fraudster cannot reactivate a blocked number through *894*911# code, once its blocked, it can't be unblocked unless the customer visits the branch to unblock it. You will agree with me that a fraudster cannot go to the branch to reactivate back a customer's blocked line as she will be arrested on sight. So you see, your analogy isn't possible. By the way, first bank is not responsible for a customer who reveals his or her secret information to an unknown person and Firstbank will not call a customer to reveal sensitive details. The bank educates her customers on this every single day never to reveal sensitive information. Please try to ask questions rather than assuming. |
Phones › Re: A Nairalander Explains How To Block USSD Service To First Bank Customers by dingbang(op): 2:26pm On Oct 06, 2018 |
LuciferKristi: Fraudsters will capitalize on this flaw. I haven't figured it out yet but they will.
There should be a personalized PIN to enable deactivation or activation. For example, *894*911*0000*08060000000#.
That way, only the owner of that number who has the PIN can deactivate or activate the service. actually a fraudster is only interested in diverting your funds and not blocking your number from performing transfers. Think ... |

LuciferKristi: Without verification?
So I can dial *894*911# right now & provide any First Bank customer number I like & the USSD service will be disabled?
Just like that?
First Bank will crash soon. smiles , dont be mischievous. This is actually a great service since some customers have been victims of their phones being stolen . |
Crime › Re: Good Samaritan In Trouble After Returning The N600k Mistakenly Sent To Him. by dingbang(m): 1:04pm On Oct 06, 2018 |
My comment is off the topic discussed above. Many Nigerians should make it a habit of securing their bank apps on their phones as well as encrypting their phones in case of theft, and please stop using easy passwords such as 1234! |
