The military really dealt with Nigeria.
Apparently, car ownership used to be a big deal in Nigeria.The coming of democracy came with improved finances for most families and coincided with the Toyota boom.
Obviously, most of the people here missed out on d days of Peugeot 504,504,Volvo 240,flat booth and V booth Mercedes,Mercedea Concord, Volkswagen passat and beetle etc.
I don't think anybody who though owns a Toyota now but drove his parents flat booth or 504/505 will tell you Toyota is the greatest after Allah
Then we haven't come to newer model European cars which make driving look like eating pounded yam with okro soup.
Might own a Corolla one day but it will be purely an economic or location based decision, not that it's no longer a flying carpet
