TV/MoviesRe: The Notebook (a movie) by disney(f): 5:08am On Jan 01, 2006
damn the notebook by Nicholar sparks ...........l have read the novel and also watched the movie. I cryed because they acted it so real cry cry

The movie is one of those hollywood romantic movie about a poor boy and a rich girl called Noah and Allie. The movie is set in the early nineties maybe cos of the way it was made to look. You know those romantic movies in which the girl allie meets noah during the summer vacation and falls deep in love/crazy for Noah but her mother is in disapproval of the relationship because they are from two different world. Noah is a poor street guy while she is from a high class family. So, she broke up with Noah over a little disagreement, she went to college, met a lawyer but she found out that her heart was still drawn to the poor guy and she was forced to go back to him. The movie/novel is all about true love to be realistic. Love is not all about class, tribe or calibre. Its all from the heart . U need to watch it. tongue www.thenotebookmovie.com

EducationWho's Fault Is It If A Child Is Not Properly Educated? by disney(op): 1:55am On Jan 01, 2006
Who's Fault Is It If A Child End Up A Shoemaker?

hi everyone,
When it comes to career, who's fault is it if the child had no money to go to school and ended up a shoemaker. is it the parent's fault or is it the child's fault or is it Nigeria's fault? Lets be realistic, please give your full opinion. Do you think the child should go and steal or prostitue in order to go to school as in a must to have an education or do you think the child should just go and start selling on the road or jeje become a shoemaker? What do you think?
HealthLets Talk About Diabetes by disney(op): 1:43am On Jan 01, 2006
Hello everyone in the house,

Please, make it a resolution to cut down on the amount of soda you consume this year 2006. Do you know that 171 million people worldwide have diabetes and another 200 million people are unaware of the fact that they have diabetes. Please , consume more of water /juice rather than consuming soda/coke/sprite because its better to prevent now than to cure later. Thanks. smiley

NB: If you consume 1 bottle of coke a day, you are consuming about half a cup of sugar not to talk of if you consume 3 bottles day or more, you would be consuming a 1.5 container of sugar. please please please, l cry out today to everyone in the house. to prevent is better than to cure. thanks. cry grin smiley smiley

Correction: According to doctors, diabetes cannot be caused by excess sugar intake. But once you have diabetes, then it becomes important to control the intake of sugar.

it depends on the country u find urself.

For example, in the states during the fall time , whether u have a good or a bad mood. Dark color is whats the color for fall. So u would look wierd in pink. you know what am saying. pink and bright colors ( colors for summer and early spring) So l think depends on the country. grin grin

To the ladies in the house: l know we all love to flaunt our looks and look sexy. You know what l mean.

Can you leave the house for a day without makeup? That is, go to work, an outing with a friend or a boyfriend, shopping, just going out without makeup? No lip gloss, or eyeliner or blush. Do you feel strange as if something is missing?

Everyone, feel free to express how you feel and say your mind.

Poems For ReviewImmigrant by disney(op): 3:50am On Dec 24, 2005
The word immigrant strikes like an arrow
Yes, that is what I am
I am an immigrant in a foreign land finding my way left and right
Its so hard to find ones way knowing that you are a stranger to all
wherever you find yourself, be it in Europe or America or France
You are an immigrant
I might speak little  English  or no English at all but even though l try to speak it, people say l have a horrible accent   and     yet find it hard to understand me
People look at me like if I came from planet Mars
I might be the king’s son where I came from or the queen of my tribe but no one recognizes that when l land the foreign soil.
I might have been living in palaces in my mother land but who cares where l even come from.
To all , l am an immigrant , an alien who has to find my way myself

No one knows the fear of the immigrant
Your life could end at any time
You could be deported at any time
You just have to find your way yourself because no one is willing to help you
Even your fellow foreigner doesn’t want you to be better than him
He or she quotes, l found my way myself so also l expect you to find your way yourself
Well, in all thing, you are not the first immigrant and you would not be the last but by following the right path, you can become successful and create openings for other less fortunate ones back in motherland Africa.

Poems For ReviewThe African Woman Abroad: this goes out to you by disney(op): 4:50pm On Dec 16, 2005
Kudos to the women of Africa
Greetings to the African women in Europe and America
Greetings to the African women who leave their motherland in search of greener pastures
Life abroad is no joke
Living in a foreign land is no fun
African women are so hard-working
They come abroad, survey life and they prosper
They face the storms of life and they suceed
They compete with foreign women to gain a sense of identity
African women abroad are realistic about life
They don’t give up in life
They work hard anywhere they are
They date their progress to the past in Motherland Africa
Born on the soil of Africa is no joke
Hard-work is as to being beautiful
They bring the past into the future
Am so proud of my African women abroad
You have brought the past into the future
I believe in you all and am so proud of you all
Never give up in life
Never give up because you came , you saw and you conquered
