Theflint1: Change your search location to Uyo, geolocate it to within 100 KM using Facebook Marketplace then search using the areas I have mentioned. E.g. "Afa Ube rent", " Shelter Afrique rent" , "Ewet Housing rent" e.t.c. Specifically ask the realtors you contact if the power supply is Band A, B, or C. This might make your window shopping/search easier. Not as expensive as accommodation in Lagos on the average. |

Theflint1: It depends on the quality of housing. But it isn't too different from the rates you've read here about housing in PH. Ewet Housing Estate, Osongoma Estate, Shelter Afrique and 100 Units are the priciest generally. More so, for the stability of electricity in these places too as I had listed prior. |

Ironically, the most morally-backward people also double as religious people; and a lot of these religious people are Christians. It's almost 9AM. Dress up and drive into any of these new-age churches to see wild dressing and displays. Imagine speaking in tongues after hookup last night, piercings all over, and with videos of you twerking and other lewd acts on your TikTok. Who's fooling who? Religious people are mostly sanctimonious. 8 Likes 2 Shares |

Not just Lagos, but the Lagos Angel Investment Network. My God! Those guys put Nigerian tech startups on the map. I have been praying Akwa Ibom emulates what they did. It launched the Akwa Ibom Investment Network last October and I hope we go on to do great things through it. And we continue partnering with the Lagos Angel Investment Network. With states beginning to control power transmission, I'd like to see foreign coys go into many Nigerian states and get tax-free breaks as incentive. I want to see Microsoft come into mine, for example. 1 Like |

"Oga wetin u take, wey dey ginger you since yesterday to dey go against igbos." ------- Ah... Here comes the gaslighting brigade. No more insults? No more slurs? No more anti-Akwa Ibom attacks even when it has nothing to do with tribe? Blind to all of the inferences and accumulated months of mostly unprovoked tribal attacks marshalled by the Igbos against me even when I am engaging people of other tribes. You must continue. Hence, it's a no-holds-bar. No more refrains and cursed be you if you refrain from the tribal slurs you are known for. Same thing you lots do on Nairaland's frontpage. Your tactics and antics are being laid bare. Let anyone post an anti-Akwa Ibom slur now, and the first three people to quote and run with it with would still be your people. Not others - your people. Or with passive aggression to support it. Freaking snakes! |

Ibi-----me: LOL. There's been 24/7 light in many parts of Akwa Ibom for years. My LGA had 24/7 light from 2007 to January, 2020. Now it's back. Mkpat Enin and Ikot Abasi LGAs have 24/7 electricity since they connect directly from Ibom Power Company. Band A transmission to Uyo, Itu, and Eket LGAs have 24/7 electricity. Ewet Housing Estate, Nelson Mandela, Calabar - Itu, Itam, Akpa Ube, and Nwaniba areas of Uyo City use Band A and have 24/7 electricity. That's why I don't complain of heat. I've been working all evening and night since I came in and the light is still on. Don't just take my word for it - confirm. These have been reported in the media. I have stated same on this thread at some point. But for a people like Sean's who see nothing good in others unless it's theirs, they'd ignore it, then when and if they have a little semblance of something close, they hype it as "the first". ---- Quick one: When the Anambra Senator built that rubbish as a tech hub, then OasisX posted pictures of Senator Ashiru's beautiful and functional tech center minutes later, did you notice not one Igbo moniker had anything good to say about it? I praised it. Lar-ride did. I think one or two others did. But not one Igbo acknowledged it. They all turned blind but were all active that evening. If it was the reverse, they'd have seen it to say something negative. This is an instance you can verify which happened just last week on this thread. They see nothing good in others unless it is theirs. 10 Likes 1 Share |

joseph1832: LOL. See why I ignored them to go about my day's itinerary? Igbos are the most tribalistic people in Nigeria. I have repeated this over the years on Nairaland, on other threads and on this thread. Wherever three or four Nairalanders are ganged up to launch tribalistic slurs on others, two of them are Igbos. Facts! This thread, a microcosm of Nairaland and the internet, is an example. I have had issues with Yoruba persons on this thread on random issues, including politics and personal. They mostly didn't go tribalistic. Try having a random argument with an Igbo person on this thread and he'd go tribalistic then his kinsmen would join in. It doesn't matter if they have no issues with you before. When I state I know my allies, I mean my people know our allies. The Igbos revealed to us decades ago who they really are and we have learnt our lessons. Maybe some of us believed they have changed but now we know. It'd guide our decisions going forward. 6 Likes 1 Share |

The insecure nitwit who daily posts about his itinerary thinks himself relevant. "Oh! I'm in Orlu!" "Oh! I just got into Ebonyi!" "Darn! I just subscribe to an online music platform!" "Oh! I'm taking a dump in the toilet." With screenshots and pictures to booth everyday unasked. Just last September or so, you were trolling and bragging to BallzProblem that you have achieved more than his generation and worth more than his family on this thread. Three months later in December - January 1 or so, you were sending your account for giveaway on this thread too. From mega rich man to asking for giveaway. Make it make sense! For those who might be interested in the story of how Azikwe stirred tribalism to force an Ibibio man out of the Eastern region seat because he lost out to Awolowo in the Western region, here it is: > Zik/Eyo Ita face-off: Aladinma’s misrepresentations https://www.vanguardngr.com/2012/07/zikeyo-ita-face-off-aladinmas-misrepresentations/ Just a tiny part of story. Yet they gaslight and play the victims of tribalism. I'd dig up more posts and maybe find more physical books I can snap to reference later on. Your gaslighting tribalism didn't start today. It's always been in you. 3 Likes |

Awolowo and Azikwe had a tussle about the Western seat. Azikwe lost. What did he do? Go back to the drawing board? No. He rallied Igbos and questioned why an Ibibio man, Prof. Eyo Ita, should continue occupying the Eastern region seat. And that's how an Ibibio man who was performing was forced out with tribalism. (You can easily research this. ) Same people who play the victim card. Till date, Colonel Effiong Bassey's memory is treated like shit in Akwa Ibom and amongst Ibibiod people. We never wanted a part of the Civil War, but he led us into it. We knew the antics of those we were in bed with. We know you! Let it all come out. 3 Likes |

While people around the country are praising Ibom Air, no Igbo has anything good to say about it. NOT ONE! But it has high ratings. Instead they rallied themselves to rubbish the brand, trying to demarket it. Just like on this thread, if it's not owned or done by an Igbo person and they benefit directly or control a significant proportion. Igbos have nothing good to say about it.

What happens on this thread with the Igbos always spearheading tribal rattacks and slurs isn't a one-off. If it's not theirs, they would pull you down..They have nothing good to say about others, never mind how better those people are or the good they possess. Let it all come out. |

liveLongNprospa: Hogwash! I was responding to a post on another thread about what an Igbo First lady, Unoma Akpabio, did and the parallels to Betty Akeredolu.. Stating that no first lady of other tribal extractions have tried that in different tribes they have been married to; including Margaret Obi, then first lady of Anambra. You brought it here to start a tribal war because you are a defender of the Igbos and you seek validation even though they insult your people daily. Oddly, the Igbos would never defend your tribe. Deny it! Of course, Igbos would take the bait to jump in. 1, 2, 3, the whole Igbos on the thread jumped in. Next rallying cry to war. Predictable. And, yes, like in Ondo, because of the precedence, any politician with an Igbo wife aspiring for the highest position in Akwa Ibom State ha s a question mark to his ambition. I have mentioned politicians it worked against. Unoma Akpabio's antics and Betty Akeredolu set the precedence. This is the reality. You can cry about it then maybe they should call a meeting to ask why they are always fingered in such mess. You are still a drunkard to them and would be reminded the day you dare not to defend an Igbo issue. I hope you get the validation you seek. The most tribalistic people in the country playing the victim's card is ironically hilarious. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by DissTroy(m): 11:11am On Feb 24 |
There are 300+ tribes in Nigeria. Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, Ibibio, Ijaw... The 5 largest tribes in that order (although the Ibibios and Ijaws argue the interchangeability, but that's not the point). How come everyone accuses you of the same thing? How come you have issues with everyone?/EVERYONE! Partly because of the gaslighting tribalistic character you exhibit on this thread which is a default. An Ijaw man could be arguing with an Igbo man on this thread, and you'd all quickly turn it into a tribal war. A Yoruba would arguing politics with an Igbo man on this thread without mentioning tribe, and the Igbos would gang up against him. An Ibibio man? Same thing. Hausa? Same thing. A kogi man and and Ibibio man would argue politics, and the Igbos would jump in to make it about themselves then go tribalistic. Gowon made a comment about the Civil War this week. A Civil War my people fought and suffered the consequences? Guess who ganged up against Gowon in the media this week to make it about them? The Igbos! Yet it was an Ibibio man who saw that war to the end. Typical gaslighting yet very tribalistic. Let it all come out today! 8 Likes 1 Share |

Quick one: Have you noticed after I called them out for attacking and criticising Lagos, Rivers, and a few other states in early January or so, while shielding theirs from criticisms, they have stopped doing so? No Lagos and Rivers attack since then. We are heading somewhere. The hypocritical masks are being taken off. |

liveLongNprospa: You are a halfwit who started what you are always good at - making people clash needlessly. I stated you wanted Saturday morning entertainment and SeanOkafor took the bait. You think I'd go on the defensive? Same me who said I'd still vote Obi no matter the number of clashes I have with Igbos? Same me who exposed Akpabio who is our current highest-ranking politician? Akpabio, for all of his flaws, did more than all Igbo governors combined as our state governor, but I don't allow tribal sentiments becloud his flaws. Yet he's still performed more than all and the testaments are there to see. For all of the many developmental indices which Akwa Ibom is praised for, show me one Igbo moniker who has had anything good to say when Akwa Ibom is being mentioned on this board. Even one. ObianoJ has at some point. Who else? But when it's anti-Akwa Ibom, they all suddenly can see the posts. I can mention 10 Yoruba monikers. Igbos see nothing good in others if it's not one if their own. That's why in their criticism, they have nothing good to say about others. You got your Saturday entertainment so let all the issues come out. No holds bar. Igbos are snakes. At least the ones on this thread have proven to be. They are mostly the first to go tribalistic but play the victim's card. 4 Likes 1 Share |

And there you have it: A rallying cry to war is being song in their native Igbo language. "Let's attack him! Let's go all out for him!" And the baying for blood continues. And this is why other tribes distrust you by default - you bite but play the victim's card. Points continuing to be made. 4 Likes |

I first got really active on the Chelsea thread in early 2022 or late 2021. Asides random religious debates, I never frequented. Until Izu and I had an argument, and Igbos flooded the thread with anti-Akwa Ibom tribalistic slur. Something which had nothing to do with Akwa Ibom. I repeat, the most tribalistic Nigerians are Igbos by default. 5 Likes |

As usual, when they get caught in their game of deceit and selfishness, they play the victim's card. ALWAYS. Every single time I have had an issue of intertribal argument on this thread, one of the first two people to jump in or pilot the attacks has always been Igbo. ALWAYS. Even if I am having an argument with a fellow Niger-Deltan, an Igbo person would always jump in be tribalistic. Directly or through passive aggression. You are snakes. You bite then run into the grass. You attack then cry wolf. Anyone who frequents this thread and this board can confirm the monikers who are always quick to jump in when there's an anti-Akwa Ibom slurfest are Igbos. Almost all. Even Prospa didn't start a slurfest until SeanOkafor joined later on. I can dish it and take it. You are wolf-crying hypocrites. 11 Likes 1 Share |

joseph1832: Scammers are thieves, man. And the very worst kind of thieves. Not only to they steal money but they wreck lives forever while at it. In Nigeria and on this thread, they are given euphemism names like "G Boys" and "Working Boys", their music is celebrated and their poster boy named unofficially on Nairaland as the " Ariste of the Year 2023", while some even bolder ones like Okafor join in to criticize politicians, shit on Nigeria, and justify fraud as the backbone of the informal economy in Nigeria. We still celebrate thieves! We accept them so much so thieves who should be in hiding and in jail have the never to argue and troll to our faces. We encourage fraudsters/thieves and cheer them on. |
