Taguchi: Because my support for Obi was never a game. It was about the best candidate on the ballot managing Nigeria's affairs in these critical times. In retrospect, we have come to realize all the "Obi would come a distant third" and "O lule" quips never mattered - we are all facing the consequences of people who thought and still think Nigeria's issues are nothing more than football cup games. ----- Fuel was #180 when he bragged in the post I quoted. It's #680 today. 378% increase. All for what? 7 Likes 2 Shares |

Odunayaw: Yes. Ekong means "war" in Ibibio. Ogun means "war" in Yoruba. Balogun means "war general" in Yoruba. In Ibibio, it's "Otuekong". So Ekong is actually " Otuekong" interchangeably. Our Oyibo Wall have War Generals as their literal names. 7 Likes 3 Shares |

Most of you don't realize it but Ekong, our captain's name, literally means "war" in his native Ibibio language. 17 Likes 1 Share |

Felimax: Smart guy! You could help them solve little tech issues in return - their Facebook having issues, apps not working... Little things. Some people befriend hotel staff during the coming up process to make use of the constant power in hotels. But co-working spaces are the best though. You'd also network and get gigs and recommendations from other occupants of the spaces if your interpersonal skill is good. |

Good. At least owning up to who you are and/or what you preach is a good start. We are way past the denial stage now. Maybe retribution or redemption might follow, but only fate gets to decide which comes first. Until that happens, you are what you are - a scamming thief! Revel in it. |

oweniwe: You don't know what a co-working space is then. It's like regular office spaces which are partly partitioned. They are actual businesses set up for that purpose. There's no news of the police raiding co-working spaces, not any that I have seen. Google what an actual tech co-working space looks like. |

This is Coogar making a case for fraud and Yahoo boys in 2013 - 2 years before nemesis caught up with him. Nemesis on this platform, at least. Notice how he's insisting every Nigerian youth is into fraud? Rings a bell with what's happening on this thread? coogar: |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by DissTroy(m): 12:23pm On Feb 06 |
Like I stated last month, you have the good and the bad on any platform with people's faces and details on it. For a platform with supposed anonymity like Nairaland, it's a magnet for people with all mentalities and indulging in all vices. You have actual professionals earning a decent living here at various levels then actual fraudsters, armed robbers, and, yes, kidnappers even. If what happened with Cóógar of old didn't happen, would anyone have been wiser he's an actual fraudster amongst everyday people for almost a decade with a dedicated Arif teaming up to ruin lives? If Côôgar is a reality which happened in this section, why do you think there are no equals or worse folks in the same fraudulent line? 1 Like |

izzou: What else do you expect when culprits seek to be judges in their own indictments? 80% of youths are into fraud? 80? See how these thieves ridicule the hardwork millions of youth put into earning a decent living? These are not people worth debating with. a thief would always justify theft. From hiding in the shadows in support of Shalli-whatever music 24 hours ago to outrightly justifying and making a case for fraud, while trying to drag everyone down with them. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by DissTroy(m): 12:06pm On Feb 06 |
If you are a thief, thump your chest in pride and admit it. Don't try to drag everyone into it. I'm not a Mr. Nice Guy - I'd tell you how it is, bluntly. You are a fraudster and/or fraud apologist. Own it and hope nemesis tarries from catching up with you. That we are deliberating how stealing and impoverishing others while grabbing for yourselves their life savings is widespread or not paints how deeply the rot goes. Tomorrow you want to hold your politicians accountable, want to question Tinubus expenditure, or complain your Governors embezzled XYZ amounts, but you are a thief yourself. A shameless thief even so. Since there's no shame in what you do, proudly admit it. And if you feel any prickling by your conscience (if you still have any), then stop making a case for fraud. You are a barawo, ole, onye oshi, ayara ino ; the euphemisms of Yahoo Boy, G Boy, or Working Boy doesn't fly. You are a thief! 8 Likes 1 Share |

Realmrsean: More than anything, the economy increasingly and seemingly gives justification to go into fraudulent vices. So if people wanted to involve in such, there'd do it. There's a place for tact and a place to be blunt. Some might not be as vocal in the condemnation of fraudsters for their own safety especially in cities or places where violence marries fraudulence and there'd be targets on the backs of these fraud denouncers. It doesn't mean they support fraud. It's insulting that a bulk of the Nigerian youth do not get involved in fraud yet you paint them with the same brush to justify your stance. |

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by DissTroy(m): 11:36am On Feb 06 |
BlueRayDick: The good thing is, we have gone round from whataboutism to the very crux of the issue - condemning the promotion of fraud and fraud music. More than most vices, the reputation of fraud hurts the chances of our compatriots. And if it's not been stated enough, as online forums go, there are people who try to stay on the right side of the law as consciously as they can, and those who care little about the dictates of the law and who gets ruined in the course of it. They are fraud apologists and actual fraudsters even on this thread too, known or masked. Of course, you'd find people try to deviate away from the condemnation of fraud - a ruining crime - by equating it with a personal lifestyle by some artiste of smoking. 1 Like 1 Share |

Kimbeast: Yes. Let's rewrite the Criminal Code tonight on Nairaland as long as it'd make us rationalize fraud music by Shalli-whatever. Smoking and promoting fraud are the same. I mean, if Cynthia flirted with multiple guys, let's criminalize it in theory just to justify Bethy who's actually engaging in prostitution which is a crime. Screw the Criminal Code! Write yours tonight on this thread, man. This defense of Shalli-whatever must be won at all costs, no? Again, fraud music is fraud music. See? I still came round to the point. |

Kimbeast: Yes. Burna Boy, for most parts, sings about Nigerian socio-politico-economic issues. Smoking and seeming raunchiness aren't crimes. Oh! And he's got good lyrics too, including for introspection. That's why Fela is still great, never mind the smoking and philandering he indulged in. Those aren't crimes. Fraud is a crime. Shalli-whatever sings about fraud. That's the difference. Any other diversionary tactics? Stay on topic, man. |
