So how long have you been HIV AIDS positive? From birth? Your mom passed it down to you? Maybe she (your mom) got it from fúckin a goat 🐐?

Maybe; Maybe not. What we know is that you are a thief!

You spend all day here cursing politicians but you are a thief! A fraudster! Abuja would soon give you up like Owerri did.

A culture that encourages women to have multiple men and marry the first to pay her bride price. We all know these things. She'd fûck all of them raw, get pregnant then pin it on the one who pays her brideprice.

A girl can bring home 20,000 men in your culture and your family would keep collecting gifts until one pays her brideprice.

You popularized "Marry who is ready".

You are literally a thief who ruins lives.

You escaped from your fraud haven after you "casted" (like they say in Nigerian parlance) and Owerri got too hot for you due to EFCC to Abuja. I hope the EFCC functions well enough.

I bet the pregnancy which birthed you as a random one which was accepted as it your culture. Your culture encourages prostitution and simping.

A woman can get fuckrd and pregnant for another man in your culture and her husband would accept the pregnancy.

Where's that fraudster who wanted to have something to say? Come out to play.

You are s criminal amongst us but think you have the standing to say anything? You are a thief! A scamming thief who has ruined lives and emptied lifesavings!

Just because people here decide not to be judgemental doesn't mean we don't know who you are.

A fraudster with his full names out there should be on the low while seeking repentance, but like prostitutes, shame isn't your thing. You don't know what shame means.

Lmaoo patience Jonathan was a certified gangster menace who used wike to teach Amaechi a lesson.

Basically she was a first lady delving into proper political issues and wasn't shy about her stance in most cases. Abi is it the corruption that is associated with her.

So again, is that woman a reason why politicians with Ijaw wives (I don't want to use Niger delta women as it's too broad) should no longer be presidents?

Again, you are not smart. Patience Jonathan is from Rivers and got involved in Rivers State politics.

The issue is First Ladies trying to hijack what belongs to states they married into for her own people.

Patience is from Rivers and got involved in Rivers politics. She never tried to hijack Bayelsa's patrimony for Rivers people. That's what Betty Akeredolu and Unoma Akpabio did.

You know this but would delve into whataboutism to deviate from the point.

The point is, Igbo first ladies are notorious for hijacking what belongs to the states they married into. Stick to the point.

Patience Jonathan never tried to hijack what belongs to the whole of Bayelsa (where she married into) for her Kalabari people of Rivers State like Betty Akeredolu and Unoma Akpabio did.

Heck! First ladies who married into other states haven't tried to do so. Not even Remi Tinubu who is Itshekiri. Margaret Obi from Akwa Ibom didn't do so too.

I want you to understand what you are saying very well.

You sound like someone who has looked for a reason to tag a group of people as something even when you don't have the complete data to do so.

So you are saying with the thousands of Niger delta youths in bunkery and kidnapping of expatriates (especially then) , oil companies can decide to not hire ND youths based on the practices of those guys?

Or let's use popular stereotype of Edo youths who are mostly claimed to be yahoo boys. Would you hire an Edo boy for any IT position especially if you are a fintech company

The issue you referenced is Unoma Akpabio and her antics I called out. If you are bored and looking to draw me into an all-out tribal war for your entertainment, go do it on Twitter.

Loool

You don't see the tribalism?

Like Îbime (I think) stated, quoting some rapper, while replying to Donjazet months back on this thread:

I've reiterated what's happening in circles I am close to while you live in La La Land. I've told you the sentiments in Akwa Ibom. Same In Ondo (and it's going to keep spreading).

Same sentiments were reechoed when GRV's wife got involved in a financial scandal on Twitter months back.

But never again would we allow a First Lady get that much in-road into our taking what's ours for her people. For a lot of people, they've taken it further by ensuring she wouldn't get there through her husband in the first place.

I'm never going to backdown from my stance. It's one-too-many of such occurrences now.

As at 2020, within the power circles and those in it who I am close to, the current Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Information who was also Commissioner for Information in the last administration and did a stellar job was being fingered to be nominated by the then Governor as the candidate.

This guy has everything going for him - early 40's, handsome, educated, civil, and refined, well-spoken, loved by the youth, tech-friendly, experienced... Plus he's from the Federal Constituency which was then favoured by zoning.

He had two things working against him. His detractors used one against him - his university sweetheart whom he married, well... You can tell where I am heading to. Most people drew parallels with what Unoma Akpabio did as First Lady.

When your people have a negative stereotype - deserved or illusionary, your job should be not to give credence to such negative stereotypes with your actions because it'd hurt the chances of others who might be innocent of your extraction. Humans transfer aggression.

Make of this what you will, but never again would we give such chances in Akwa Ibom. Never! We have learnt our lesson.

Oh! I deliberately bolded my caveat on that same thread that I know it would be quoted 'cause I know people like you who go stalking.

There has been no other case of First Ladies of other tribes trying to snatch what belongs to the indigenes of the states they married into asides the people I mentioned.

Remi Tinubu is Itshekiri but nobody has accused her of same. Heck! People didn't even know she was Itshekiri for years.

Would Anambra, Imo, or Enugu people tolerate what Betty Akeredolu and Unoma Akpabio did or almost did? Hell no! So why do it to others?

They have further ruined the chances of politicians with Igbo wives contesting; In Ondo, in Akwa Ibom, and even in Lagos.

GRV is forever toast, and this Betty's issue has ensured so, including the scandal his wife had on Twitter weeks ago.

We know those with a culture of money over everything and those who are infamous for even international prostitution. And it's not Akwa Ibom. But let's not get into that.

The main point was and is what Unoma Akpabio tried to do to Akwa Ibom by taking what's rightful ours to her people, like Betty Akeredolu did. Never again would such people get an in-road into our patrimony.

I swear by God and everything sacred in the universe, the prostitutes at Maitama in Ewet Housing Estate, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State are chiefly Igbos. The area has been mostly cleared of such people, but at the height of their operations when prostitutes flooded that place, they were IGBOS.

That's why Unoma Akpabio had to intervene to give them money (Akwa Ibom money) to go make something decent of their lives before government cleared that place.

Ondo people might have tolerated Betty forcing her kinsperson as LG boss, but not us. We told her to her face and gave her husband an ultimatum.

DissTroy:

Not exactly. But the OP is right about Igbo wives being nepotistic and giving jobs to their Igbo relatives alone.

Nneoma Akpabio as Governor's wife was notorious for scheming Igbo people into Akwa Ibom State civil service until we fought back and kicked them all out. ALL OUT. It was so bad Igbos began boasting they control Akwa Ibom.

It's one of the reasons any person contesting as Governor or Senator in Akwa Ibom with an Igbo wife has another hurdle. It worked against Nsima in 2019.

Same thing Akeredolu's wife did.

Igbo first ladies are notorious for trying to hijack what rightly belongs to indigenes to their Igbo relatives. I trust Da Zion Umoh. Now that he's mentioned it, it would be addressed.

Akpabio had to plead when it got to a head as Governor. We'd revisit the issue and address it. If it isn't addressed, Akpabio would pay for it during the elections.

But Akpabio has used his power as Senate President to help a lot of Akwa Ibomites though. Many people I know have been appointed into high and federal offices, including a very close associate of mine recently. Many got civil service jobs too.
Nneoma Akpabio, like most Igbo first ladies married outside their tribes, tends to overdo it. The Igbos wouldn't have taken it if Obi's wife (an Ibibio) tried that as first lady in Anambra.

They scream tribalism but dish it out on a daily.

2.

DissTroy:

Dude, shush it! I'm Ibibio. Unoma Akpabio, like most Igbo first ladies, is notorious for that. It almost cost her husband a second term as Governor when Akwa Ibom people revolted against her. She toned down in 2015 but has begun again.

We'd never forget how she tried to flood Akwa Ibom State Civil Service with Igbos and the prejudice she displayed at Maitama, Uyo. No Igbo state would tolerate it.

Her antics has put a question mark on the ambition of politicians with Igbo wives in the state. Ask anyone versed in Akwa Ibom politics to confirm this.

3.

DissTroy:

No, it's tribalism when the only relatives you help are from your tribe. I repeat, Igbo first ladies are very notorious for this and it fuels some of the sentiments against Igbos in many places. I haven't even described one-twentieth of how nepotistic Nneoma Akpabio was a First Lady. Thank goodness my people woke up to tame her.

Same way Betty Akeredolu has killed the chances of any Ondo Governorship candidate with an Igbo wife.

No matter how nepotistic and domineering any of the presidential first ladies we've ever had were/are, I can guarantee you, if those first ladies were Igbo women, they'd do worse.

I state this knowing someone would quote this in the future on a thread I frequent here and I stand by it, including on any platform.

DissTroy:

No, I've never paid for sex in my life and never will.

When Unoma Akpabio through her foundation as First Lady was relocating prostitutes from Maitama - prostitutes who are chiefly Igbo (ask anyone to confirm) - around 2012/2013, she paid them between #50,000 to #100,000 as support money so they vacate the area, while she chased the few other prostitutes of other tribes away without the same financial support to go earn a decent living.

Again, ask anyone who knows.

Never again will such ever happen in Akwa Ibom. Never! And we'd defend it with our blood. That seed of distrust and skepticism has forever been sown. And with what happened in Ondo, we'd take even tighter measures to forestall it.

Amazing news yesterday with the landing of the 2Africa Submarine Cable in Qua Iboe, Akwa Ibom. This is a significant milestone that has been delivered with the support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whose directive to all relevant agencies to support the ease of approvals was critical to the successful landing of this cable in Akwa Ibom, a first for the Niger Delta region.

This cable landing, as well as the one in Lagos last week are important building blocks in our plan to achieve broadband connectivity coverage for the whole country. We expect these cables to go live by early 2025.

#NigerianExcellence

- HM Bosun Tijani

Cc Dis.stroy

This is what I posted in a certain think-tank WhatsApp group on January 30 when we did an appraisal of Tinubu's appointees. My exact words in bold:

"About President Tinubu's economic team:

The only member of that team who, in my opinion, has a clear-cut developmental agenda is Bosun Tijani, the Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy.

He's done/doing three things which I find unique about a Nigerian federal minister:

1. He posted a 32-page policy document in October 2023 on Twitter as a clear and detailed roadmap on what his ministry intends to achieve so we can track its/his benchmarks;

2. He's gone beyond the talking points to begin implementing these, and;

3. He gives timely updates himself too. It leaves no room for misinformation as all I, for example, need to do verify a piece of news is go through his timeline, or ask him. Interestingly, he'd respond. He's been doing this since he assumed office - responding to everyday persons about the activities and scope of the ministry he heads.

Maybe if other members of the President's economic team emulate this approach, the disconnect between what the government's plans are and what the everyday person thinks they are would be bridged. Maybe. But it's a first step."

Bosun Tijani is still the only one who knows what he's doing and is coming off as so. He's still the only Minister who I think is worth discussing and commending.

Yo Diss.troy, is it true one can use Â.Î to búild a wébsite?

No, A.I. cannot build you a website. It's like a tool, a car or something.

You can use it to genérate códes - Ã.Ï. like ChâtGPT - but you need intermediate or advanced knowledge of progrãmming - the programming languages themselves - to actually build the websites. And this in turn requires you to be very good at prômpt enginéering to even know the right questions to ask of the genérative Á.Î.

Even seemingly drag-and-drop no-cøde ÇMS like WébFlow requires you to have in-depth knowledge of design principles like UI/UX, color schemes, e.t.c. to design websites which look good and are functional. Ã.Ï can't do these things. Not yet, at least.

Learning prómpt engînééring using Á.Ï like ÇhàtGPT would make a prógrammer or web dévélopér côde faster, but it won't replacé the wéb dévéloper.

Any newbie or novice who disputes the two points above can try making a wébsite (even a static one) with Á.Î. It'd be interesting to watch them try.

Not true Efik & Oron migrated from Cameroun area Usakedet, while Annangs migrated through Ghana which is the origin of their name. They both migrated to the ibibio region.
This thread explains more details.
https://www.nairaland.com/609355/whats-major-differance-igbo-people

Wrong!

Efik people are a subset of the Uruan people who are in turn a subethnicty of Ibibio. Efik or Efuk isn't even their original name. How dare you twist their history? Do you know the Efiks and Uruans speak the same variant of Ibibio, and the Efiks still go to Uruan to pay homage, including the Obong of Calabar?

The Oro (not Oron - Oron is a subset (1 LGA) of the Oro people (5 LGAs) ) - and the Efiks and the Uruans are related. That's why Efik culture is an exact replica of Uruan culture, including cuisines, marital rites, Ekpe cult, e.t.c.

The Ibibio comprise of Northern Ibibio (Annangs), Southern and others which includes the Uruans, what is today known as the Efik, the Oros, the Ekids, the Ikot Abasis, the Iman clans which spread to become Etinan, Ubium and the likes.

Annangs, Oros, Uruans, Efuks, and Ekids are subethnicities of Ibibio. Only the Ibenos and Eastern Obolos are different - they are historically migrant Ijaw fishermen who morphed with the Ibibios.

Go read about the Ibibio - Arochukwu war at Ibom. Parts of us migrated into Cameroon, not the other way round.

-----

I don't know you but I can give you my full names. I and my team have been building the biggest digital repository of Akwa Ibom history, culture, people, and more. I've been in touch with professors of history from Akwa Ibom, been given access to these books, and still consult with them. The first of its kind in Akwa Ibom.

I did something similar for my LGA in October, 2020, and it involved a deep dive into Ibibio culture with partnerships from some Akwa Ibom historians. The first of its kind.

This Saturday, there's one of such meeting with these historians and even a book review by one (in the corridors of power). I hope I'd be back in time for it physically since I am part of the organizers. I'm careful not to reveal too much on Nairaland. Nigeria is unsafe else I'd have mentioned specific names and venue.

Don't insult me with such hogwash and countering with lies. I don't just post - I live up to what I post. You better be a proper Ibibio girl and learn our history, culture, and more properly; and be involved in projects to promote it.

Like I stated, if you will do same, I'd give my full names so you cross-check. Then I'd mention high-ranking popular Akwa Ibom historians and some in the corridors of power you can confirm my name from.
