Yesterday 18th September in Emme Ora, Owan west local government area the governor of Edo state Comrade Adams Oshiomole got a taste of the peoples thinking when he carried out a test of his popularity by attending a ward rally with his anointed deputy governor candidate Shuaibu in the community.

The people came out in droves to boo him with the chant “ Oshiomole Ole”. It took the intervention of PDP elders and stalwarts in the area at the time to stop the massive crowd from storming the canopies where the governor and his entourage were seated as the police protection detail was already overwhelmed.

What informed the rash action on the part of the governor to attend the ward rally in an area where the people seethe with hatred for him and want a pound of his flesh is yet to be ascertained. In the 8yrs of the Oshiomole government not a single government project or presence can be singled out in the local government that voted massively for him to achieve his second term in office.
