Finally for team April, Baby came 4th may 8:25pm weighing 4.3kg.

my edd was 23rd April from first scan subsequent scan dates varied from 24th to 30th. I carried the pregnancy with 3myomas(fibroid) so my tummy was massive. By my 40th week I was getting depressed and crying over any little thing. I entered May like I was dreaming couldn't believe I was still pregnant no sign of labor nothing. 3rd may towards evening I started feeling small pains on my waist but the intervals were long and far between it went on thru d nyt and stopped the following afternoon. I then made up my mind to go to the Hosp d following day and insist on being induced. Around 4pm that evening the contractions started again this time stronger with shorter intervals. By 6pm i observed that the intervals were less than 20mins apart so I went to the Hosp only to be told that I was 6cm dilated and I shld be prepared for delivery. Was given a bed and drip was set up then that devilish oxytocin was added. Na there I no say labor start. Jesus eh! My God oh! Nurse eh! My waist oh!By 8pm I was fully dilated and wás told to push I push oh but baby was big and I was getting tired the nurses had to start pressing my tummy and using oil to massage my perineum I was screaming for my life then in a flash baby popped out and d pain ended just like that. In my subconscious I told myself never to forget this pain so that I won't get pregnant again. I refuse to forget
She was cleaned and weighed when I was told the weight I argued with them and told them to do it again that d scale was faulty cos I couldn't believe 4.3kg could come out of my bumbum.
I was stitched and cleaned up and taken to recovery.
I appreciate this thread and all the mamas who take out time regularly to come here and keep the thread going. Cappo Patking and all April mamas we came we saw we conquered nothing broken nothing missing. God be praised forever!

We shouldn't hesitate to call on our Doctors whenever we need any clarifications concerning any changes in our system/body. Adhere to your Dr's instructions, if you are not comfortable with some of their prescriptions, kindly seek for second opinion to be sure you are on the right lane.

On that Wednesday, I was to have an appointment with my Dr and I had decided to ask him to fix a date for c-section as I didn't want to fall into labour with the baby in the wrong position. I started feeling contractions are 1am that morning about 12-15mins apart all through the night but subsided by dawn. I called my Dr and was told to just wait till my appointment time which was later in the afternoon. Felt irregular contractions all day so didn't feel the need to panic. Got to the Dr's place around 4pm,had the regular checking, baby was in transverse position,He tried to turn the baby again but she didn't budge and decided that a c-section was inevitable and we were to decide on a date. At the last minute the Dr decided to check if I was dilating as I was still having irregular contractions. And lo and behold I had gotten to 8cm . Dr was shocked and was like we have to get to the hospital immediately as we couldn't afford for the water to get broken as there was a risk of the cord getting detached and putting the baby in danger. We were to do a c-section immediately and I was booked to have it for 7pm.
Got to the hospital around 5.30pm and the rush began to prepare me for the OR. Then I started contracting like every minute. I was in active labour and felt my water gushing out with each contraction. I was placed in a position that would reduce the chance of cord falling off. I got to a point where I had the urge to push but was told not to. I started shouting. I was like, "what's the point of all this pain since I was going to have a csection?" Chai,I wanted to die. I started shouting "ok, give me epidural so I dnt push", "give me epidural ooo", "I would push ooo" , "in fact I'm pushing I can't hold it anymore"
So I was rushed into the OR and given epidural then they decided to check the baby's position again, position had changed to breech. The next thing the Doctors saw was a foot, then another foot coming out. At that point the Dr decided it was safer to birth vaginally. So my baby's legs were tied together and something was done inside me then I was asked to push. And with my whole life I pushed once and out came the baby at 7.19pm. And there was great relief.

I can't really tell and I don't know anyone who has used it for long. I've only used the pears body lotion once and didn't really see any impact on his skin.
Here are some of the affordable body products I've used for my kid. Maybe it will help:

Palm kernel oil: Used from 0 - a little above 1year
Vaseline blue seal for baby: Used on his skin and butt from 1year to 1year6months
Coconut oil mixed with Shea butter: His current cream
Black soap infused with palm kernel oil: 6months till present
Cussons baby powder
Cussons baby shampoo (The lather isn't soft enough for babies in my opinion)
Baby Tetmosol (When he had skin ish)


Others I've used that are quite pricey are:
Chicco baby moments shampoo
Chicco baby powder
Aveeno wash
Namaste organics calendula oil


Hopefully, you'll find someone on this thread who has used pears products for their kids and can give you a good review.

I've been tired and feverish, but refused to use anything except paracetamol, I just had a feeling...

i am heartbroken. i gave birth to a baby boy thursday lastweek and lost him on saturday morning. i had prolonged labour. i was in labour for close to 48hours. for the first 24hrs, i was dieing in pain, yet nurses will check me and say am just 2cm dilated. It was when they decided to section me that i finally gave birth, inside theatre room. my baby came out and did not cry, was very weak. they supported him with oxygen only for him to die after 2days. since then hv been in pain. pain that i lost my child, and vagina tear they gave me. please pray for me am finding it difficult to move on. pray for God to bless me with twins and wipe my tears.

Good morning everyone,
I'm back on this forum after so long. It's been a journey I will not wish on my enemy. We've been ttcing for the past 5+ years. Done several tests and taken so many medications, Agbo and all but still nothing.
We saved towards ICSI and just had it this cycle. Went to the hospital last Tuesday for test and it came out negative. The cycle failed Honestly I can't begin to describe how I feel. I've cried till there is no tear to shed again. The hospital asked us to come next week Tuesday for another pregnancy test but I don't know what the difference will be. I took hpt yesterday morning and it was still negative, so I've put my mind off any change in the result.
I'm not giving up hope on having babies because I know very very soon, I'll have them in my arms by God's power. Since we can't go back for another ivf /icsi anytime soon due to funds, I want us to keep trying naturally cos we can't just sit and fold our arms. I want advice on the protocol to undergo given our medical history below:
Dh is 43 and I'm 35
Dh has low count, poor motility and morphology
I had one blocked tube and did hydrotubation 2 years ago but I don't know if it worked or not since I didn't go back to check with hsg. I can't an even imagine going through hsg again after going through 2 already and one hydrotubation. Every other thing is fine. So my question is, what can we do about dh counts and other parameters, and what can I do about the tube?
Your advice will be greatly appreciated please.
I've tried going through the forum from page one to gather information on protocols but 2000+ page na serious work. So anyone with protocol to use should please help a sister. I desire to carry my babies in my womb and arms soo much that the yearning is driving me crazy.
