While one gets/accepts the message of the comparison, the N17m (10+7) is achieved at a compounded interest rate of 17.5% as shown below. But as Laura and Ukay2 have already mentioned, the rent invested over the 20 yr period can probably achieve more than 17.5%.
Help your self with this

I am not in the country, only banking with first bank currently, i can easily purchase through my account since TB and fix deposit are currently very low.

RealityShot:
no Sir, mmba, efian!

Leave that stock alone.

First tell us why you are considering buying it self.

First Bank has poor dividend payout %, that's why I said leave it.

You can make a cool 10% by March if you buy zenith at N24.50 now.
(not that I am saying you should O, because that stock will definitely fall before or by march)

So tell us why first bank?
InvestmentRe: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Diyke4rich: 6:04pm On Nov 27, 2020

NL1960:
I will advise that you do not immediately relocate back in full yet. You can come in, spend some months and use that period to move around and do research. During this period, you can use it to network with your friends espercially those in business and see the various challenges and how they have conquered such challenges.
InvestmentRe: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Diyke4rich: 9:56am On Oct 30, 2020
Not business but asset rental property.

TotoNaRubber:
It could be best to move to Nigeria and do a survey plan of what will yield you profits, you already mentioned you have a business that can generate N4m annually, what business is it ? why don't you expand that business to generate more income ?
InvestmentRe: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Diyke4rich: 5:46am On Oct 30, 2020
Good morning everyone in the house and happy weekend, i have been thinking, making research but i am not coming up with any Answer, i am base outside nigeria but i am tired of living outside nigeria, i have been thinking to come back home and invest been that i am the first son of my family, for example have access that can give me me about 4million annually but i really when to go into business, the capital I have is about 5m to 6m since treasury bill is not attractive, what line of business do you think the capital will enough and also a lucrative business.
InvestmentRe: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Diyke4rich: 5:20am On Oct 19, 2020

InvestmentRe: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Diyke4rich: 4:48am On Jun 26, 2020
I have done importation business wey back, you forget one thing, the price of jumia will be more expensive meaning they will add their commission, the seller will add his expenses such as cost of clearing, transportation and profit, therefore your analysis is very wrong, *thus*? your analyses cannot determine the true value of naira

ositadima1:
An interesting way to estimate true exchange rate. Take for example samsung galaxy s10 plus, this phone should have the same functionality anywhere and so same value irrespective of location right?

It costs about $600 on Amazon and #315,000 on Jumia. If I divide 315,000 by 600 I get about 525. If I am to neglect transportation cost differences I can say that $1 is worth about #525.

Anyway, The Economist did same with McDonald's burgers which they called Big Mac Index.

Good morning everyone, please i need a little advise i have N500,000 i dont think i will use from now till 10years its advisable to investment in bond, money market, bank fix deposit to compound the interest or just buy shares from my bank which is firstbank but my experience with ecobank shares i bought since 2008 without any return is just making me to feel uncomfortable with shares.
InvestmentRe: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Diyke4rich: 7:11am On Jun 20, 2020
Yea i think is best to cash out.

jossy26:
So sorry about what you going through, but this comment up here is the street comment, it's the reality. Nigeria business environment doesnt obey LBS theories, so una think people will prefer this rather than sleep, wake up and collect your semi annual sukuk rents? Because you are street smart and doing well in the real sector shouldnt make one condemn going for a safe option. No be everybody sabi agbero style of business.
InvestmentRe: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Diyke4rich: 5:25am On Jun 20, 2020
Its 5bedroom fully detach deplux and fully furnished at ikota villa estate, for example since i bought the property 2015 i have managed to collect 3 times rent from 3 different tenants, sometime for them to move out is a problem 3 months gone and another 3 to 4 months to get a new tennant, regards to the damage as soon as they leave you have to repaint the house in and out, changing toilet, bathroom fittings, lights, and treatment of the borehole before you know it a million is gone, what i was told before buying the property is not what i am seeing.

PresidentBuhari:
What is the description of the property and exact location?
You should get a housing agent to evaluate the property, a 4-bed house fully furnished at Chevron drive recently sold for good amount, I will verify the amount.

what is the nature of the property damage? Maybe post a picture here, there maybe potential buyers.
InvestmentRe: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Diyke4rich: 5:15am On Jun 20, 2020
Say who those one in lekki are the big problem some can even stay in ur house for 6months without paying, million plus already lost before they move out.

jossy26:
Rental default is rare in Lekki...lol are these words from the internet or the realities on the streets? Some calculations here though. The street is not smiling and doesnt obey all these theories we put up. Shine your eyes people
InvestmentRe: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Diyke4rich: 7:16pm On Jun 19, 2020
Hello everyone, i need a serious advise, i have a property in lekki phase 2 axies, i bought the property 2015 but rent returns is not encouraging couple with the damages left behind by the tenant, i believe i can get about 60m to 65m been that 2015 i paid 58m including agency and lawyer, my question here is should i sell the property maybe invest in government bond like 15years, the yearly coupon i will get will be channel to develop 50by100 i owned in asaba delta state or should i hold on to the property hoping that dangote refinery can increase the value of the property or should i cut my lose and cash out.

Thank you.

I did check nothing is showing on my name

1kinggy:
Check SEC's website for unclaimed dividends. All you need is your name. If it appears there, there's hope.

Then, you contact the registrar on the way forward.

Cheers
