Career › Re: Like Hw Much Is The Salary Scale Of Radio OAP by DjAndroid: 8:58am On Aug 14, 2016*. Modified: 9:53am On Aug 14, 2016 |
Ask4Info: OAPs have a standard salary structure of between N120,000 -N300,000 depending on the radio station, the programme, and the OAPs experience.
Note that these OAPs also work in other departments after their programs like Technical, Production, Programmes, Research and even Sales. Don't think they just close for the day after their show.
Senior Executives who are OAPs earn way more that what i quoted above.
OAPs who do shows have the privilege of getting one or two "popular" artiste to perform, while the radio station they work for gives them free or next to nothing platform to advertise their shows.
DON'T BE DECEIVED, ONLY A HANDFUL OF OAPs ARE DOING FINE. MAJORITY OF THEM LIVE FAKE LIFE.
I don't want to stir controversy by mentioning names bros are you an OAP? i dont think you are right. no Radio station in Nigeria (private, state or federal) pays more than 100k. Except when an Oga is an OAP. (Oga's receive more than 100k but they are hardly OAP's) 1.All those voices you hear on radios on morning, afternoon or night shows don't get more than 100k as salaries. 2. Radio work is better done in a government station.(job security) Private stations will use you, abuse you, owe you for months and sack you at will.(no job security) 3. Most OAP's live fake lives. There's no money in their pockets. 4. Good OAP's make their money from personal hustles like hosting of events (MC), voice-overs for comercials etc. 5. As an OAP, you can have the connection a politician cannot have. 6. Some OAP's are not staff. They are just freelancers. Or working and begging to be employed expecially in private stations. |

RIP bro. KIDNEY DISEASE: CAUSES Your kidneys may be small, but they perform many vital functions that help maintain your overall health, including filtering waste and excess fluids from your blood. Serious kidney disease may lead to complete kidney failure and the need for dialysis treatments or a kidney transplant to stay alive. While effective treatments are available for many kidney diseases, people are sometimes unaware that kidney disease can often be prevented. The following are the ten major causes of kidney disease. In the United States the two leading causes of kidney failure, also called end stage kidney disease or ESRD, are diabetes (also called Type 2, or adult onset diabetes) and high blood pressure. When these two diseases are controlled by treatment, the associated kidney disease can often be prevented or slowed down. Many effective drugs are available to treat high blood pressure. In addition, healthy lifestyle changes, such as losing weight and regular exercise, often help to control, and may even help to prevent, high blood pressure. Careful control of blood sugar in diabetics helps to prevent such complications as kidney disease, coronary heart disease and stroke. When diabetics have associated high blood pressure, special drugs called angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors may help to protect their kidney function. The third leading cause of end stage kidney disease in the U.S. is glomerulonephritis, a disease that damages the kidneys' filtering units, called the glomeruli. In many cases, the cause of this disease is not known, but some cases may be inherited and others may be triggered by an infection. Some of the other diseases that may affect the kidneys include infections, kidney stones and inherited diseases such as polycystic kidney disease. The kidneys can also be damaged by overuse of some over-the-counter pain killers and by taking illegal drugs such as heroin. Some of these diseases can be cured. In other cases, treatments can help to slow the disease and prolong life. End stage kidney disease occurs when about 90 percent of kidney function has been lost. People with kidney failure may experience nausea, vomiting, weakness, fatigue, confusion, difficulty concentrating and loss of appetite. It can be diagnosed by blood and urine tests. https://www.kidney.org/atoz/content/kidneydiscauses |

argon500: 1. Imagine living in an estate where rich man lives but they couldn't filled the pot hole on their street waiting for government 2. Imagine Christian CEO who doesnt not want to employ Muslims, same goes as Muslim 3. Imagine where people take all they have to give as a tithe in church/mosque but couldn't help their family members not to talk of beggars in the street 4. Imagine someone seeking for an advice and all what he could get was an insult..
Bro, that is the true nature of the country I agree with you. But Morals/philanthropy should be separated from governance. Secondly, I live in the southeast where almost all social amenities are provided by individuals not government. |

argon500: You guys should get to know one thing, no matter how bad/poor Nigeria economy is, we are still far better than so many countries.. Government are supposed to provide enabling environment, yes, accepted but they have failed us, not today, not yesterday, not last year or last decade.. My question still remain, what effort are the citizens making in turning things around for good? Now sight instances where citizens can help let's take it from there. Everything revolves around government and it's policies . |

csamii: Which kind of senseless people dey nairaland sef? So I'm suppose to generate electricity myself or health care or security abi good road?
If I should do all these myself then what is the role of the government? Or I go carry jerrycan travel outside to find fuel use. To the Op, the policies of government are supposed to provide enabling environment for the citizens to thrive in their efforts. |
