Sehindemi: I 've read the previous comments here and sincerely I need to ask OP these questions;
How many years has she (Your Sis) spent in that Church?
Has the spirit of God not been flowing there? (And ofcuzz she would know if she's not deceiving herself)
Isn't she a pastor, why has God not spoken to her?
If you think God has spoken to her, where then is the confusion & delay coming from?
An adage says ' What elders see when they're seated, trust me a child can't even see the tip if he/she climbs a tree'.. Invariably, Pastors in which holy spirit dwells do have a say on marital issues. Oh yes! She can heed to the Pastor's instruction depending on his spiritual life..
But note: There's no intermediary between Man & GOD! FROM WHAT MY SISTER TOLD ME, THE PASTOR DOES NOT WANT HER SERVICES IN THE CHURCH COMPROMISED. HE FEELS SHE WILL NOT BE ALWAYS AVAILABLE IF SHE GETS MARRIED NOW |

yvelchstores: most ppl will not like my comment at all, but then, I don't say wat ppl want to hear. ur sister isn't just a member or leader, she is a Pastor. at this juncture, her choices must succumb to what the spirit of God wants her to do.you must understand she is an ordained pastor, she is on a journey. imagine God allowing moses to be in d wilderness for 40 yrs training him for how he will lead d Israelites without him knowing. ppl wld HV said today, my friend u no go marry, dey der dey do .... my point, UR SISTErs ministry as a, pastor shldnt be taken lightly.pls don't interfere as this is a sacred matter. in my opinion, as a Pastor, she shld marry from d ministry she is in, to avoid her abandoning Gods call upon her life, by d time
d guy starts saying stop this stop that. at d end, ur sister will not be fulfilled. I think I knw d church ur sister is in. before her pastor says such, he doesn't need to see d man first, d holy Ghost knows all things. she is 24_ there is nothing wrong if she waits a bit longer to find d man God finds suitable for her. any one who quotes me is on his/her own. i don't care. Salient points on this issue 1. The church is full of almost students. Student pastor things including the senior pastor(very young pastors) (though they are both graduates ) 2. She met the suitor in a ministers' conference. The suitor is a roving evangelist.( in my opinion, I don't think he can stop her from her from being a pastor) Questions: 1. What if after waiting from now till God-knows-when, and a suitor doesn't come from the church? 2. After the two-year wait, will the pastor provide an automatic husband for her? |

uwagimboo: Some pastors re just too canal. Remember one trying to stop my brothers wife then, the underlying issue then was that he wanted someone else for the gal being that she is also an assistant pastor.
There re pastors and there are Pastor, we should be conscious of which we hang on to.. Yes! Truth! |

Ruemufaith: If your sister is convinced about the guy she should pls continue with her marriage plans. Pastor telling her not to marry a guy because he's not a member of the church doesn't make any sense at all. I've realized some pastors are only concerned about the number of weddings that take place in their churches and not how many marriages turn out to be successful. Once she gets married she's on her own no pastor cares to pray for you continuously even if they were the ones that adviced you to marry someone. Marriage should be a personal decision pls In fact I'm tired about my sister sef. She is very willing to marry the guy but puts her pastor's will first instead of the will of God. |

uwagimboo: Ur sister is far from a christian...
Her utmost worry should be what is God's plan for her nd not pastor's plan.
Her calling is to serve God nd not to please man, if getting married is the wish of God, why then must she listen to man nd claim she is a minister of God.
E be like say ur sister nd the pastor sef nah fake. This is exactly what I told her. |

My younger sister who is 24, is a junior pastor in her church in Ikeja and has a suitor whom she loves and wants to get married to.
My family accepted the man but when my sister told her senior pastor, he said no outrightly without even seeing the guy. His reason was that the guy is not a member of their church. In fact he told my sister to forget about marriage now, that she will start thinking of marriage after two years from now.
The senior pastor is about 33 or 34 years old and not married yet. But about to get married soon. My sister said she is afraid that if she marries the man, she might be suspended as a pastor in the church.
I don't wanT to take sides, please advice |

Very poor formatting. Make I epp you. SILENCER127: You may already know that Nigeria is the largest black nation in the world and the most populous nation in Africa.
You may already know that Nigeria has great dependency on crude oil, plus all the other opinions of David Cameron. Here are 20 unpopular facts about Nigeria.
1. Are you aware that all over the world Nigerians are setting the pace and becoming the standard by which others measure themselves? Do you know??
2. In the US, Nigerians are the most educated immigrant community. Type it into Google and you’ll see it. Not one of the most educated, the most educated.
3. 60% of Nigerians in the US have college degrees. This is far above the American national average of 30%.
4. Nigerians in US are one of the highest earners, typically earning 25% more than the median US income of $53k.
5. In Ivy League schools in Europe and America, Nigerians routinely outperform their peers from other nations.
6. A Nigerian family, The Imafidon family, have officially been named the smartest family in the UK.
7. The designer of the famous car, Chevrolet Volt, Jelani Aliyu, is a super talented Nigerian from Sokoto State.
8. The World’s fastest supercomputer was designed by a world renowned inventor and scientist, Philip Emeagwali, a full-blown Nigerian whose patency was awarded in 2015. This means Nigeria has the patency to the world’s fastest computer: a Black Nigerian.
9. The wealthiest Black man and woman on earth are Nigerians, Aliko Dangote and Mrs. Folorunsho Alakija. Both have no trace of criminal record of any kind.
10. South Africa couldn’t have ended apartheid & achieved Black rule if not for the leadership role Nigeria played.
11. Of the 3 South African Presidents who ruled after apartheid, two of them once lived in Nigeria under asylum. Both Nelson Mandela (60s) and Thabo Mbeki (70s) lived in Nigeria before becoming President of South Africa. We gave financial support, human support, boycotted an Olympics and our politicians, musicians and activists campaigned relentlessly.
12. Nigeria spent over $3 Billion and lost hundreds of soldiers to end the wars in both Liberia and Sierra Leone which the world ignored because they have no oil.
13. When there was a coup in São Tomé and Príncipe in 2003, Nigeria restored the elected President back to power.
14. Before there were street lights in European cities, ancient Benin kingdom had street lights fueled by palm oil.
15. 500 years ago, Benin casted metal alloys to create magnificent art including the world famous Queen Ida Mask.
16. Amina was a warrior queen who ruled Zaria Emirate in Kaduna state, Northwestern Nigeria 400 years ago in 1610. Google and see what she means to Africa.
17. We gave monetary gifts to Ireland during our oil boom and built a statue for France free of charge. We are not poor blacks. Nigeria is rich and don’t be lied to.
18. The first television station in Africa was NTA Ibadan (1960) long before Ireland has their RTE station. ========= Wherever you look in this great country, Nigeria, heroes abound both now and in our recent and ancient past. If all you do is listen to mainstream Western media, you’ll not get the full picture of your Nigerian heritage. Do not listen to any leader who says Nigerians are criminals, no matter who he is, or his height and position. We’re not a nation of scammers, drugs & corruption, but a people with a verifiable track record of greatness. ========== Here is what CNN, BBC, Aljezeera and western media will not tell you about Nigerians:
19. On the 7th May, 2016 at Howard University in Washington D.C history was made. Out of 96 graduating Doctor of Pharmacy candidates, 43 of them were Nigerians and out of 27 awards given, 16 went to Nigerians. They will only tell you how Nigerians are scammers and cheats, how Nigerians are into drugs overseas et al. If you don’t blow your trumpet, no one will blow it for you. VIVA NAIJA!!!
20. There are over 180,000,000 Nigerians world over and only less than 250,000 of this figure have traceable criminal records. This is about 0.14% of our entire national population in the last 20 years: nothing close to 1%. Shame on global media. Listen Nigeria, dont let anybody woo you into believing that you are a criminal just because you are a Nigerian. Nigerians are NOT criminals. You are NOT a criminal. You are topnotch; second to none around the world. Be proud of Nigeria wherever you go. Take out your Passport with pride. Be proud of our GREEN HERITAGE. Be enthusiastic of our FUTURE GREATNESS # CelebrateYourNigerianness ! NIGERIA: GREAT NATION, GOOD PEOPLE!!!! If you truly believe, kindly add anything else that you remember about Nigerians and the greatness of Nigeria that wasn’t listed above |
