inveco: Lolz....You again. Why do u like jumping to conclusions so easily? Again are u the OP?. See the pics below of which OP was quoting somebody and even the person he quoted corrected him...Lolz u sef. See pics below of OP and the quoted....Enjoy
Bros una no kill me ooo. We learn everyday. Check my subsequent posts.
inveco: Please go and read my post again and again. I never claimed anything. I only made it exceptionally clear to make some people understand the difference between MB and Mb. Afterall I said Mb is used for speed test - check my post and re-read again and again. How can one my lamenting of 1.75MB on a 3G power device and network?,Its uncalled for. So, I'm not trying to claim anything but to let OP know that many don't know the difference between these stuff and would eventually be mislead thinking he gat 15MB /s .
What I did was to make an average user understand what is actually going on. Thanks
I actually learned from your initial post. I had to change my settings to kbps to enable me calculate the actual speed in MBps. That was when I noticed that the actual speed was about 1.6MBps instead of the 18.something Mbps that confused me initially.
greenhulk: Yes the speed at which the sever responds is download speed which is measured in Mbps. Using internet download manager to measure internet download speed is wrong as it depends on the sever which u are downloading from.
But what we all here are showing is not download managers but speed testers.
greenhulk: See how u are shooting urself. Yes we all know it is megabits, nobody said it was megabytes. Internet speer is measured in megabits per seconds, but u people always try to use download manager to test internet speed which is very wrong. U are only testing download speed and download speed depends on the bandwidth from the website u are downloading from. So let's say u are downloading file A from a website B with fast servers, ur download will be faster and u change download a 500mb worth of data in just 10 mins. But u can download the same file A from website C with weak servers and the download speed will be slow and u end up spending hours to download the file. So that is not the right way to measure internet speed.
Go online, check tech websites, whenever they wanna calculate internet speed they use mbps and not MB/s. Are u trying to say u know better than them? For a non 4g connection to be giving 16mbps it means it can download a file at 2MB/s at normal condition. However if the website u are downloading from has slow servers u might end up downloading at below 500KB/s. As at now only ntel can download files at speed as high as 5MB/s in Nigeria.
