I said log in to your portal, I created mine from cbn portal and it was rejected after some weeks. Which is a few days before my travel date, so I logged in to the portal again clicked on the application and the reason why I was rejected was shown on the form online, so I edited and corrected the detail then submit and after so days it was approved. I didn't write them, I don't know maybe in your situation you might need to write them if you still have time to wait.

Log into your portal and rectify it from there, the last time I was rejected cos of flight number, I amended it from the portal after it was rejected.

Guys please I want to make enquiry concerning form A The application is on the ADB_SUPERVISOR stage but the status for the ADV_REVIEWER stage says “Recommended for rejection” due to insufficient funds. The account has now been credited with a sufficient amount. I’ll like to know if this hinders the success of the application. Should I restart the application or go to the bank to let them know I’ve credited the the account ?

Thanks, I booked on Ethiopia air and the prize is usually indicated on it after you successfully reserve it, it was around 480k for the round trip

it shouldnt take more than 2weeks but sometimes things happen, from my experience my cousins got theirs in 13 & 17 days and one got it in 9 days

Let’s say for an instance, your opening balance is 2 million naira. You earn 300k per month and spend 100k on expenditure, leaving 200k. With this calculation, there is bound to be an upward progression in your account balance. But when your account remains stagnant, or your closing balance nearly equals your opening balance, then that can be seen as fake. Even in a case where your account falls below the opening balance, then there should be a concrete reason for that, and except you have sponsor, there would be no need for you to apply for a visa at that point because it shows your account is struggling.

Between $447- $478. Let just assume $500 it will not exceed it.

Write a cover letter and state that you have found a hotel and made a reservation but that you dont want to pay yet until you get your visa and are definite on your travel date. This was the exact words I used on my cover letter when i applied last year because I didnt want to pay for hotel without visa and my visa was approved.

Thanks for the reply, First I used a domiciliary dollar card, I checked the hotel again on booking.com & agoda but it says all rooms are out, I don’t know why they cancelled my initial reservation, I don’t know if I will need to cancel application again but if I cancel how sure my next booking will not face the same challenge

Try and rebooked the same hotel is there's still available for your date or try and look for no prepaid payment needed or free cancellation use another card to book,

Mind you if you use Nigeria card for hotel reservation that charge prepaid you will continue experience that, better you use domiciliary dollar card to book for the hotel or use your Nigeria card to book for hotel with no prepaid payment needed

Good morning boss, I was thinking I would write my balance as savings too, cos I think I have seen somewhere on the trend before not once or twice, but my understanding is to declare the funds I had earlier from 6 months ago as my savings, I hope if one put the total balance on the salary account as savings, all will still be well.

First 6mths visa was issued in July last year, travelled to UK once for 10days.

I was very surprised at the short processing time as I thought it will take up to two to three weeks.

It shouldn’t be a problem provided that you’ll be landing at OR Tambo intl airport. SA evisa holders must arrive at OR Tambo and no other airport. Ensure that you book a direct flight from Lagos to Johannesburg with Rwanda Air or Ethiopian.

As for bank statement, please DO NOT submit an e-statement. Statement must be stamped and signed by the bank. You can then scan the original and upload on the evisa platform.

For hotel bookings, if you have a contact in SA who has a good relationship with a hotel there, you can ask them to help contact a hotel for a booking without payment IN YOUR NAME (there are no certainties though).

OR initiate a refundable booking IN YOUR NAME via a hotel’s website or by contacting them directly but they’ll need a USD card info to initiate (could be yours or someone else’s). They won’t deduct money from your card until your check-in date but you must cancel before the actual date if for any reason you won’t be using the hotel. In most cases, the hotel will specifically advise you on their refund policy.

Djbaju sorry I feel your pain, Firstly your SALARY is 5 month credit as ECO stated because you always received your salary on the 1st of the month right? For example if you want to receive June salary it will pay on the first of July ? i.e your December salary would be pay on the first of January right. But you applied for visa in the month of December which you supposed to apply after you receive your December salary on first of January 2023. Assuming now if you want to rebuild your account for next visa from the month of January, let say your January salary would be paid on first of February right? So you will count your 6 month from January till July because your June salary would be pay on the first of July.

As per the opening balance ECO using this as an excused to denied people, because there’s no how you won’t have Opening balance before you present 6 month bank statement.The only supporting documents to show prove of Opening balance as a savings in your account is your previous payslips.

Please don’t let any money enter your account apart your salary and have a specific monthly expenses to declared.

Note: where they asked do you have other income or saving in Visa application?You click savings and input your closing balance.

Good morning boss, thanks for the input, I attached below a copy of refusal I got from this forum and highlighted the part the ECO refused an application cos the applicant had 1.5M opening balance, while mine was 500k & still got refused, meanwhile I got a 6 months visa June last year with an opening balance of 300k and my cousin got with an opening balance of 500k 6months, 500k again for his 2 yrs renewal last year June, we submitted together, also my expense was similar to this that got refused now, so I believe Uk visitors visa just need some space for now, while I am running my account from now till the next 6 month I should have another 2.1 added to my account, is it advisable I indicate on my form that I have a saving and calculate my opening balance, convert to pound and fill in my form?

I don’t know how declaring savings works, or should I just take the money out of the account, but I prefer to leave my funds in this account cos I feel it is safe here.

I appreciate your time, and everyone opinion is welcome too.

I disagreed with your analysis about Opening balance lilyflow, because many people are gotten their visa with low opening balance. As at the time you haven’t apply for a visa you can spend your savings for house projects, solving family problem. At times this so called ECO do complained about large amount as Opening balance.

But when you are ready to apply for a visa you can use substantial amount as a opening balance, and build your 6 month statement account to correlate with your monthly salary and your monthly expenses.

Note: If Eco notices some discrepancies in your bank account that is when they will start defining different things in your bank account.

There is a lot of problem with your account statement and declaration. Your opening balance is not consistent with what you have declared as your monthly spend. Your opening balance means the total money you have in your account as of the time of the statement. So it means from January to July you only saved up 501k meanwhile you say you spend only 100k monthly. If that is the case, your opening balance should be 350k multiplied by 6 months which is 2.1m minus interest. So, if you have 501k it means for the first 6 months of the year, you spent over 100k per month.

Now let's go to your monthly spend for the 6 months in review. You spent less than 100k per month. This makes it obvious that you kind of worked on your account to reflect what it is reflecting. How did your monthly spend suddenly drop so low compared to earlier in the year where you either completely exhausted your salary each month or spent more than 300k.

Now to your salary. Yes your statement of account only shows 5 months salary taking into consideration that your salary comes in on the 1st of each month. So, the salary paid on the 1st of July is salary for June, that of Aug is for July and so on. Except you are saying your employer pays you each month even before you do the work. Lol. Your sixth month salary would have been on the 1st of January.

These are the issues.

Thanks for the contributions so far, amount declared as spending is 100k, I will attach a copy of the bank statement, first, the Eco claimed I had only 5 salary credits if you count you will see 6, i ticked the salaries with pink, secondly, he said there was a deposit on 02/06/2022, whereas I didn't submit a statement for the month of June, maybe he asked from the bank, even if he did I don't have a deposit on that day mentioned. I think he was complaining about my opening balance i don't think that should be his problem if I had 500k I might decide to save some of my salaries and also decide to spend some and save 500k like it was.



The only error I can find on the account is on the 14th of July someone credited and debited my account within 2 mins I believe it was a transaction done by mistake by the bank and I address it on my cover letter.

Now if you look at the credits there is no other credit aside from interest from the bank and the above-mentioned.

your opening balance made large portion of your closing balance and if your monthly disposable income is been added properly, you should be having more balance than the opening balance. I.e you are probably spending more than declared and you are leaving fewer amounts of your monthly salary in addition to the opening balance which makes your opening balance more.

It's not expected of a fixed salary income earner to have scattered or flexible income. So other credits needs explanation. The ECO didn't just State it straight that you are spending more than declared to have your opening balance making almost majority of the closing balance. The salary income is still of the previous application which the previous ECO complained about spending 2 months disposable income, the salary hasn't increased and you intend sponsoring 2 people again under same financial condition without assistance, it wasn't listed as reason for refusal but it's likely the reason is repeated if you ain't getting support or positive changes in financial condition.

Assuming your disposable income adds up as stated and your travel budget is not questionable, you are on the winning side because your employment tie is solid.

Good evening house finally the decisions came today and all were refused, I think the UK embassy is presently tired of granting visitors visas so I will take a break here till they are willing again, but I will still like to share the refusal notes maybe few people can use it to work towards their own applications afterward, and if there is any advise to share to enable us to change status when applying in future.
