farayiola: Lagos State Ten Point Agenda
The Lagos state government has the following ten point agenda to meet the needs of the citizens of Lagos State.
Roads - Aggressive road rehabilitation in all local government areas; construction of new roads and bridges, construction of coastal roads, dualisation of Ikorodu-Itokin-Epe and LASU-Iba roads, expansion of Badagry expressway, and construction of Lekki-Ikoyi Bridge.
Very few roads in any local government. None in mine. The WHOLE of Ikorodu, Epe, Badagry, Alimosho, Ibeju-Lekki, Eti-Osa, Ifako-Ijaye and others are still waiting for this point number one to be executed. Fashola ko, Fash-ole ni!

[li]No new roads or bridges yet [li]Ikorodu-Itoikin-Epe is a federal road and is being done by FERMA, a federal agency. This point is a blatant fraud [li]Coastal Road in Eti-Osa to Ibeju Lekki is still not touched. NOTHING DONE THERE TILL TODAY [li]Badagry Expressway Expansion is a World Bank/ECOWAS/FG/LASG project, so it was going to be done anyway, whether they promised or not. Another fraud. [li]Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge is not being constructed by Lagos State. It's being done by LCC. We understand it's going to be a TOLLED ROAD also. Owned by LCC. Another fraud, unless they're telling us that LASG owns LCC. It's part of the Concession Contract that was signed with LCC, as is the Coastal Road and the Lagoon Foreshore Road.
Specifically, that agreement states that there shall be no alternative routes provided by the State government into or out of the "Concession Area" for the duration of the concession. That means NO ALTERNATIVE ROUTE WAS EVER PLANNED, contrary to the lies by Fashola, who, by the way, drafted that agreement while he was Chief of Staff to Bola Tinubu, the beneficiary of the Agreement. [li]LASU-Iba Road had already been expanded and collapsed due to bad design by LASG at the first rains in March. This agenda was posted in July. Another fraud.[/li] [li][/li]

Transportation - Integrated Mass Transit Programme with emphasis on road, rail and water transportation services through LAMATA via a private public participation consisting of: strengthening of traffic management mechanisms, execution of the first state run rail services, construction of light rail and stimulation of private sector investment.
Their so called "emphasis on road" is a farce. See above. Rail is a World Bank Funded project, and at best is a drop in the ocean compared with what is actually needed, and at GROSSLY INFLATED costs. It is possible some World Bank officicials are benefitting personally from this project through backhanders. Water Transportation is a joke. No large volume water transport, and investors are afraid, because Fashola and Tinubu are just looking for people to scalp. Ask the existing operators. Oh, I forgot, they're joint ventures with either Fashola or Tinubu, or both
Power/Water supply - Lagos IPP (Emergency Facility) – 270MW (1st phase); Lagos IPP (Permanent Facility) – 540MW (2nd Phase). The so called emergency facility is supply into the national grid. Instead of creating a new grid, using the NERC Act, they're using the lazy option of just inviting private sector operators in which they own shares, to set up and feed into the faulty national grid. This is partly why nobody is falling over themselves to exploit the obviously potentially profitable Lagos power market. Corruption in Lagos State and official stupidity at the highest levels have made the market non-existent.
As regards water, the "mini water works", which Fashola "commissioned" to much fanfare during the re-election campaign in Langbasa and Ikorodu are not supplying water to peoples homes. At Langbasa, it's no longer working. In Ikorodu, people are taking buckets to the premises to fetch water after paying a fee at the gate.
Environment/Physical planning - Making Lagos a model city state; introduction of community-based for sustainable development; establishment of a Disaster Management Agency (“DMA”); and aggressive implementation of emission control standards. Physical Planning WHAT A FUC-KING RIOT!!! There is no such thing in Lagos State. The Physical Planning Ministry exists to make money, not regulate planning. The result is the frequent building collapses you see all over the place.
Health - Deepening of current free health-care programmes; expansion of primary health-care programmes; pursuit of secondary health-care; strengthening of the marine ambulance and emergency medical services; and improvement of medical personnel welfare. Deepening Their Pockets is the only policy they know here. Tinubu owns ALL the pharmacies in all the general hospitals, including the one at LASUTH. He owns the BT Diagnostic Centre in LASUTH, the Mortuary in LASUTH, the Critical Care Unit in LASUTH, and the recovery ward building there. LASUTH is more expensive than a lot of private hospitals.
Education – Establishment of millennium schools in all local government councils; re-engineering/refurbishment of primary schools; rehabilitation and maintenance of existing schools and libraries; provision of school furniture/equipment; curriculum review/entrepreneurial training; functional scholarship system; and self sustaining tertiary education. Re-engineering, my bottom. Children are falling into pit latrines in Lagos State schools, LASU has had 32 courses de-accredited by the NUC and the WAEC failure rate is the new index by which we measure performance in Lagos public schools. At the moment, it's over 60% in Lagos.
Employment – Introduction of Graduate Empowerment Programme (20,000 graduates in year one); drains ducts and waste management (10,000 new jobs); and export processing zone (20,000 new jobs). I don't know about Graduate Empowerment Programme or drain ducts and waste management. All I know is that I see a lot of unemployed graduates milling about, looking for what to eat. The employees we see in KAI and LASTMA are certainly no graduates. Area boys made good, all. Where were the drain ducts and waste management people during the last flood?? The 20,000 jobs at the Export Processing Zone is a BIG FAT LIE. The place is empty. Tinubu recently raised the price of one hectare there from $1m to $2m, and people are refusing to invest. I REPEAT, IT IS EMPTY. 3000 hectares of emptiness is what the place is.
Food security – Empowerment of farmers/fishermen cooperative societies; facilitation of sustainable food production and processing; and support for strategic food preservation and farm settlement development. I know they made some big noise about a rice for jobs scheme at Ketu, near Epe and launched it with a lot of fanfare. I drive past the place every now and again, and it's also another lie. Empty land. Nobody there. I challenge anyone to refute this.
Shelter – Provision of affordable mass housing schemes; facilitation of a liberalized mortgage system; and new/satellite town development. We know they're not providing ANY mass housing of any sort. The mortgage system and satelitte town developments are stolen PDP ideas mentioned by at least two of the aspirants for the PDP ticket during their campaign.
Revenue enhancement – diversification of revenue sources; widening tax net; effective revenue collection mechanism; and database development.
This is one area where they've done excellently. They're now collecting more money than ever from Lagosians, that's for sure. But are we seeing the money I certainly can't. I know it doesn't cost that much to plant flowers and beautify federal roads.

While giving deserved credit to Lagos State Governor, Raji Fashola, for infrastructural projects in the state, I urge the governor to endeavour to pay attention to the quality of work being done by contractors handling road constructions in the state.
advertisement
The quality of work being done on Surulere roads casts doubts on the competence of contractors chosen for jobs as well as justifies claims by opposition parties that such contracts are over-inflated in comparison to the work done.
One case that calls for the governor’s urgent attention is Ogunlana Road reconstruction which was completed early this year. It is astonishing that less than five months after, small potholes now dot the entire length of the road built by Plycon! Before the end of this rainy season, the potholes would have developed into craters.
Governor Fashola owes the people of Lagos who voted massively for him a duty to ensure judicious use of funds and that only qualified contractors are given jobs in the state. The job is not over once contracts are awarded. He also has to monitor the quality of work being executed.
I urge the amiable governor to order Plycon which handled the Ogunlana Road project back to do a proper reconstruction of the road. He should reassess current reconstruction of the other side of Masha (Adelabu Street)being done by the same Plycon and terminate the contract if the company cannot do a standard job.

Kofoshi, emi gaan o fe'ranu!!
I stopped patronising Ibo shops them minute they started their nonsense about wanting more commissioner slots. My friends thought I was paranoid, until they started talking about becoming Governor in Lagos. That's when people started waking up.
In my business now, I refuse to honour any invoices that come from Ibo shops. They're easy enough to identify. If it's not from a Yoruba owned business, I don't buy. I'm in the construction industry by the way. That means parts for my trucks and earth moving equipment now come from Oregun Road and environs, if not, I order direct from Germany or China. I'm happier to wait for the original goods, than to be in a hurry and end up buying rubbish from rubbish Ibo "traders". My employees and contractors now know better.
I already have some Ibo employees, and will be sacking them at the earliest opportunity. I no know say na like this dem be. Even the ones working for me now are probably thinking secretly of how they will takeover my business. Nairaland has been a major eye opener. I began to pay more attention to the words of my Ibo employees and suppliers, and guess what? They're mirror images of the Ibo internet warriors on Nairaland.
Look at the way they're behaving in Alaba, Amuwo, Ojo, and Ajegunle, where they have numbers. Very arrogant and disrespectful. Time for them to go. But we start with economic warfare. They must not eat one more kobo of my money. I hope you agree with me on this and start implementing it right away. |

Mike Adenuga on official documents is Michael Adeniyi Adenuga. Femi Falana on official documents is Olufemi Falana. Bola Ige is Adebola Ige. Gani Fawehinmi is Ganiyu Fawehinmi. OFFICIALLY, not by popular appellation. Two different things. On the INEC forms Yekini Amoda Ogunlere filled in 1999 and 2003, he wrote Bola Ahmed Tinubu as his names. No Yoruba person does that. Goodluck I heartily agree with you regarding Yekini Amoda Ogunlere (alias Miss Bola Tinubu). However, there is nothing extreme in refusing to financially empower a people who make no secret of their desire to steal your community and heritage by emptying out their hamlets in an attempt to win elections in Lagos. All we are doing is boycotting their businesses. There are Yorubas who import EVERYTHING that the Ibos import, only that because they fear to soil their family names and reputations, they almost always sell the genuine article, unlike the Ibo fake merchants. Yes, it's more expensive to buy Yoruba, but at least you'll get what you're paying for, not some cheap imitation that will scatter before the normal time, or just totally refuse to work. Moreover, they're the ones stealing from our artistes by faking their CDs in Alaba. Thank God for concerts. Them D'banj, Asa and co for don die! |

To the poster who asked if Fashola and Tinubu are bastards for appointing an Igbo Commissioner in Lagos State: Yes. They are ignorant baboons and bastards of the worst kind. I know Fashola had no hand in it. He was appointed because he had been washing money for "Tinubu" while working at a bank. The truth is, Ojuyobo appointed him to spite indigenous Lagosians, since his Iragbiji origin has been discovered, despite his valiant attempts to hide it. We now know that the name he bears belongs to a WOMAN who attended Chicago State University. That's why you have never heard the full version of the "Bola" in his name. Is it Bolanle, or Olubola, or Adebola, or Boladale, or Abimbola? Which important Yoruba person bears the short form of their name OFFICIALLY Fashola simply went along because he's a boy-boy of the super gangster, Yekini Amoda Ogunlere, alias Bola Ahmed Tinubu. To the Ibos and other ethnic minorities agitating to become governor of Lagos State, I say this: Remember the events leading up to the civil war? It was this same boastful and arrogant behaviour after the January 1966 coup that led to the intense HATE that Northerners in general and Hausa/Fulanis in particular harboured for you people and ultimately led to the genocide later that year that eventually led to the civil war in which 3 million of your people were slaughtered needlessly. Your refusal to learn from your own tragic recent history will be your undoing. Continue underestimating indigenous Lagosians. We will eventually have to teach you people a final lesson in how not to be ingrates and disagreeable guests in another man's land. The first step has already started. A gradual boycott of Igbo businesses by indigenous Lagosians has already begun. It will spread to other Yoruba groups resident in Lagos. We don't need much motivation for this boycott, since all you people sell are fake and sub-standard goods anyway. It will continue to VERY STRINGENT terms for rental of property to Ibo people, and then outright refusal to rent to you, then refusal to SELL land to Ibos. We are developing a strategy that will see Lagosians and other Yoruba property owners only leasing land and houses to you for a maximum of 10 years. All your existing C of Os will be revoked in the public interest. It is in the public interest that Ibos do not empty out their villages to relocate to Lagos in order to realise their vain ambition to rule us. Keep shouting. We shall see. |

As for OANDO, everyone who knows them well knows that the seed capital for that one came from a loan taken by Ibile Holdings (a company wholly owned by Lagos State government and predating Tinubu) while it was being managed by an Ibadan guy who was to later become the Commissioner of Finance in Lagos State as a reward for his underhand dealings at Ibile on Tinubu's behalf. That loan was paid back to Eko International Bank (EIB) in part through land allocations in Awoyaya (200 hectares - Greensprings School is built on some of it today), Abijo GRA (200 hectares) and just after Eleko Junction (200 hectares). Those allocations were made in 2003. Everyone knows that OANDO belongs lock stock and barrel to Bola Ahmed Tinubu. As for Capital Oil, the owner is a private man, never having being in Government before, and competes favourably in the market even with government favoured sons like Femi Otedola's Zenon. The difference between Coscharis and Capital on the one hand, and OANDO and Alpha Beta on the other is that the former group are purely private concerns, with no direct or indirect links to operators of government apparatus, while the latter are ACTUALLY OWNED, patronised and given undue advantages by KNOWN GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS LIKE Bola Ahmed Tinubu, or is it Yekini Amoda Ogunlere!! kolexy: re- Alpha Beta's track record was prior to 1999?

In reducing traffic, I laugh, Lagosians ,congratulations on being abrakadabrad by the ACN governement. Just another ploy to levy Lagos Car owners, fine them, have them harrassed by LASTMA, generate money for Lagos and as well as give one ACN stalwart or stoog the juicy contract. I know Lagosians wont care. What is 2,000 Naira? It does not reduce traffic trust me. Are all the police check points legal? LagosPolice will stop your car and be looking for what i snot lost. Customs papers blahh blahh blahh, will it tell if you have a fire extinguisher or not, spare tyre or not? I love ACN they got Lagosians brain washed. Yes , BRF has transformed Lagos compared under the horrible condition Tinubu put Lagosians in After Marwa started a transformation. When they were introducing it in Abuja , they never told us dumb stories about reducing traffic but that it will help get those without licences or have not renewed it. Lagos State gornement , you guys are brilliant before the end of the year or BRF's tenure Lagosians will be paying to the government for almost everything they use, pay tax for it, billed for using it and pay for stepping out of their houses to Lagos State government. Yet the government is making billions per month for VAT, billions from IGR and not to mention burdened doubled taxation and levies and Federal Government allocation . Yet the people in LAgos are suffering and smiling ( as Fela said). Lagos My Lagos, I dont blame ACN , Im not saying PDP wouldn't see how much money they can make. Where are the jobs, social amenities, good housing, health care? The people of Lagos deserve a lot more. Lagos government should b sincere and make life better for Lagosians. In fact, the abracadabra is just too much for me o! They are killing the people slowly, yet the same people are hailing them joyously, with every stab of the knife in their own backs, even egging them on:"Stab me deeper, please, a little harder". Lagosians have been turned into sado-mashochists by the continued assault by the Lagos State/ACN media. |

werepeLeri: Something that has been in use in Abuja and environs since how many years ago. PDP's publicity machine is not working at all!! Wow! So, Fashola will be allowed to take the credit for something a PDP government initiated, just because he and his theiving cocaine-addict boss control the media, courtesy of their control of Lagos State's fat wallet. Na wa for Nigerians and their gullibility o! |

Fashola must think we're all numbskulls. Wouldn't it be cheaper and faster to use an RFID based system to identify vehicles so that the delay occasioned by the officer punching in the vehicle's details can be eliminated. An RFID chip on the Vehicle Licence label would simply broadcast the vehicle details to a hand-held unit with an AMOLED screen, which would display the owner's details. A quick question and answer session would confirm that the driver is either the owner or driving with the authorisation of the owner. The details could even include the owner's telephone number, to which a text can be sent demanding a return call to the holder of the unit for verbal confirmation that the driver is the person authorised to operate the vehicle. All of this can happen in less than 2 minutes, and the driver is either arrested or sent on their merry way. The key test, as with all things Fashola is, HOW MUCH IS THIS COSTING THE TAXPAYER |
Politics › Re: Kastina-alu, Salami And The Njc - Sam Omatseye by djustice: 12:30pm On Aug 08, 2011 |
God will punish Sam Omatseye for the hatchet job he has been doing for Yekini Amoda Ogunlere (aka Bola Tinubu). His generations will eat out of the misery he is creating. He will never profit from the abuse he heaped on Mrs. HID Awolowo.
May he die unsung, and may dogs eat his entrails. For these lies and twisting of facts that he's engaging in, lies will inter him. His every labour will go unrewarded. Whatever rewards he gets will lead to tragedy for him and those sending him on these criminal assignments.
The NJC panel has already indicted Justice Ayo Salami for perjury and "unethical conviviality" with ACN chieftains. This is a fact.
The same NJC panel absolved Katsina-Alu of any wrong-doing.
The perjury indictment against Ayo Salami arises from his weighty allegations against the CJN, which have been found to be patently false by his own peers.
Anything else is jara and a futile attempt to muddy the waters by throwing more and more mud, ACN style.
The curses I have pronounced on Omatseye will operate upon him and anybody else trying to lie or twist the truth in order to deceive Nigerians, as long as they continue to tell their unvarnished lies.
And so shall it be unto them and their generations in Jesus Name. Amen. |

I knew the Iragbiji faeces you've been eating would not let you understand the questions I put, so let me ask them again, perhaps the repetition will push aside some of the faeces in your brain: djustice: Let me ask you this, omo-Iragbiji-nile, and I sincerely hope that your cocaine addled brain (we know you've been sniffing the residuals from Tinubu's cocaine infested anus) will understand the questions:
1. When was Alpha Beta formed and who are the shareholders?
2. For a company to take on the "contract" assigned to it by Oju-Yobo (Tinubu), it should have had some kind of track record. Could you tell this house what Alpha Beta's track record was prior to 1999 ?
3. I put it to you that it had NONE. ZERO. No history prior to May 29, 1999, yet Bola Oju-Yobo Amoda Ogunlere Tinubu saw fit to kick out Adekanola and Co, a company with a very good track record, only to replace them with an unknown, hitherto non-existent company. If that is not at least evidence of abuse of office, and a clear indication of conflict of interest as well as a pointer to the possibility of the most heinous type of official racketeering to NORMAL, SENSIBLE, RIGHT-THINKING, MORALLY UPRIGHT people, I don't know what is. Of course, we all know that all the aforesaid qualities cannot under any circumstances be attributed to your cocaine sniffing boss, Tinubu, or to you, his anus osculating lackey, so we understand your fake indignation!
4. Who is the owner of Deux Projects, and what was their track record prior to being awarded an eye-watering multi-billion naira "contract" for the "upgrade" of LASUTH, for which they were paid 80% in advance? 80% of N5.2billion upfront!!! Is that not corruption? Again, the cocaine in your system will shout no, and you will start pouring smoke from every orifice in your faeces perforated body. Ode!
God Almighty will punish all those who are stealing from Lagos, you, Ojuyobo Yekini Amoda Ogunlere, a.k.a. Bola Tinubu (that name belongs to a woman who attended Chicago State University, by the way), Fashola and everybody else they're sharing their ill-gotten wealth with, unto your generations. Of course, if you're not sharing out of the loot, you have nothing to fear and need not respond to this. If you respond, we know how you eat. Ode!
I could go on, but I'll stop for now and let you come and do your usual useless verbal gymnastics and bring your fake fire and brimstone on behalf of those whose faeces you've been eating for years now, Fashola and Ojuyobo!
Ode! Now, answer the questions, faeces consumer! |

Wow!!
I didn't know this place had progressed like this. I know when this estate started, back in 2007, and I thought at the time it was just another of those scammy estates. I'd been hearing good things about the place since late last year, but these pictures put things in serious perspective.
Can I go and visit the place? If it really looks like those pictures, I just might sell my place in VI and move there. I have to say that the pictures look real sha o!
Babeisme, what amenities do they have? Do they have water, light, good roads and drainage? Our problem in VI now is flooding everytime it rains heavily. Park View is even worse.
The generator noise from our neighbours is driving me nuts, and I would like to just escape it. I hear a few estates in Lekki are now offering central generators, which means you can have light without noise and smoke. Are these people doing the same? |
Politics › Re: No More State Of Origin. Lagos, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Abuja Get Ready by djustice: 11:36am On Aug 08, 2011 |
All the FG can do is to sponsor a bill. Will the Northwestern states, with large populations of Ibos vote for it? I don't think so. Will the Middle-Belt states vote for it, with all the problems the Fulanis are giving them at the moment? No! Will indigenous Lagos lawmakers like Femi Gbajabiamila vote for it and not even campaign against it? I think not. This is a stupid proposal at best and will not pass even the house of reps, talk less of getting sent to the states for approval. I know it is sponsored by people like Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who appears to have taken control of Aso Rock, considering the way GEJ is bowing to his every demand. Did you know that Aganga is his candidate |
