onatisi: well obj resignation is a political calculation which cannot be unconnected with the emergence of tukur as the pdp chairman.it is a known fact that bamanga is gej candidate and having lost out in putting his man as chairman it is obivious gej is no longer dancing to obj tunes and he has become powerful enough to install the party chairman and the national secetary was ceeded to baba at the last minute.secondly obj tenure as bot chair is suppose to end in july this year just three monts away

Stupidity disguised as wisdom. I won't bother trying to tell you the obvious. Odenson!!

"Successful National Congress of the PDP"? With the emergence of a 60 year old "youth" leader and the "stepping down" farce that saw Bamanga Tukur , trounced in his own ward, becoming chairman?

To be honest, I doubt if you are sane. OBJ was thoroughly disgraced in the SW with the last elections. As the most prominent PDP leader in the region, OBJ supervised the total annihilation of his own Party in that region!!! Even his daughter was booted out unceremoniously and remains in the wilderness to date. OBJ's Military pal and fellow Dinosaur he tried to foist on Ogun State, Olurin, found no joy with his misadventure of contesting against the ACN.

Somehow you interprete the humiliation and retirement into political wilderness of OBJ( Courtesy of "Ojuyobo" grin grin) as him "wrong-footing" me, ACN supporters and Tinubu ? My guy, you need serious help. I ain't joking pal.

That you managed to escape from Psychiatric Hospital doesn't give you the latitude to start questioning anyone's sanity. Then again, isn't that what all madmen do? They're the only sane one, and everyone else is mad, in the tiny little fantasy world in their heads. Bless you son. You'll regain your sanity.....maybe.

At least the PDP held a congress, and a 60 year old got elected into office. Who's the National Youth Leader of the ACN? When was the Chairman elected? Who elected the "Leader"? Your insanity has led you into this democratic cul-de-sac, where no democracy is practised, only oligarchy, as your "party" is actually just an unending celebration of the owner of your organisation, disguised as a political grouping. The ACN's only purpose and reason for existence, is the fanatical worship of its deity/owner, "Bola Ahmed Tinubu". We know how ACN won in Oyo and Ogun States: Grand Rigging, of a type never seen before in Nigerian history. We know how they won Ekiti, Osun and Edo States: Salamic judgments, delivered by a rotten and cash-addled reptile, posing as the President of the Court of Appeal. Is this not the same ACN that lost the LG elections in Lagos and still went ahead, through their loyal minion, "Justice" Fatai Adeyinka, a card carrying member of ACN, to announce victories without the FIGURES!!! Another dubious world's first for the Asiwaju Criminal Network!!

You know all this, yet you find the gall to come here and defend what essentially, is completely indefensible. Now, who is mad?

Nothing to do with age. OBJ could have bowed out as a classy statesman like Kufour of Ghana. Instead, OBJ fought tooth and nail, to include cynically and dictatorially changing the constitution of the PDP, so he could emerge BOT Chairman unchallenged. All that was consistent with how OBJ has been a dictator all his life not concerned with the rights and aspirations of others. We all remember him callously going ahead with the impeachment of Peter Obi just so his criminal "son" Andy Uba could become Governor of Anambra. What did Obi ever do to OBJ besides standing in the way of the ambition of his "son"?

This has nothing to do with age at all and indeed OBJ would be BOT till death if possible. OBJ knows he simply won't survive the onslaught that will come from him being seen to support GEJ beyond 2015. We all forget that GEJ, to even get the AGIP and mercenary Northerners on board, agreed to step down in 2015. Many Northerners, not predisposed to a Southern Presidency (like Yuguda) backed GEJ based on this.

OBJ may just be aware that GEJ is going too far and the repercussion of several treacherous actions , in a row, may be anyone's guess. Already, OBJ won't be unaware that he is directly responsible for the killing of Nigerians going on today via his refusal to "honour" his fellow thieves. The biggest clue about the hatred of OBJ amongst his fellow killers was how Boko Haram wasted the chap who gave OBJ audience when our former President tried to mediate for the FG. OBJ is just tactfully moving away from an unpredictable situation he knows may consume him.

Strange way to fight "tooth and nail" and be a dictator:

1. 1979, Obasanjo as military Head of State, with all the awesome power that position conferred, handed over to the elected President after an election he organised and saw through, in fulfilment of a promise he made when he assumed power 3 years earlier following the assassination of Murtala Mohammed. He "fought tooth and nail" then to leave office for his farm.

2. 2007: Having run the country for 8 years after being dragged out of retirement to put a troubled nation on an even keel, despite fallacious accusations of harbouring 3rd term ambitions (which, frankly, if he wanted, would have happened, with a notoriously corrupt National Assembly and governors eager to retain their immunity as a means of escaping arrest and prosecution for corruption, chief amongst whom was the charlatan, Bola Ahmed Tinubu), he handed over to a Yar'Adua after campaigning successfully for his election. The brigands in the Nigerian polity, Tinubu, Atiku and co, continued to shout 3rd term, even after he handed over!

3. 2012: After a successful National Congress of the PDP, he has now resigned, to the chagrin of Tinubu and his minions, like Gbawegbawe (obviously stoned beyond redemption), and all they can shout is do or die.

Admit it Gbawegbawe (yoruba slang for weed smoker), the man has wrong-footed you and your gang here on Nairaland and in Ojuyoboland.

Class cannot be bought. No matter how many Oriental Hotels, Eko Hotels, Toll Gates, Beechwood Estates, Fara Park Estates, First Nation Airlines, The Nation Newspapers, TVCs, Radio Continentals, Royal Garden Estates, Endymion Estates, Lagos State Government Guest houses at Queens Drive (Oyinkan Abayomi), Abuja, Park View (former Deputy Governor's official residence, Golf Courses (Lakowe Lakes), Medical Facilities (Bola Tinubu Diagnostic Services, Critical Care Unit and Morgue all at LASUTH, Ikeja), bullet proof range rovers, Governors, assemblymen, councillors, bloggers, nairaland warriors (gbawegbawe and co) Yekini Amoda Ogunlere can buy or steal, he cannot purchase class, which obviously, Obasanjo has more of in his little finger than "Bola Ahmed Tinubu" can ever have in his entire generations!!

Yekini Amoda Ogunlere, also known as Bola Tinubu (name belongs to a late former student in the US, where Yekini served 7 years on a drug conviction), already makes over N50 billion per month from Lagos State alone.

N4.5 billion of that comes from the Admiralty Toll Plaza.

About N6 billion comes from his illegal and unconstitutional sand-dredging activities (every sand dredger in Lagos State pays him up to 50% of their earnings).

Another cool N500 billion is expected from the Lekki Free Zone project.

N70 billion came in directly from the land on which the Lakowe Lakes Golf resort is sitting in Ibeju Lekki, which he personally gave to ARM (another of his front companies, which he bought out from GTB while still governor of Lagos State - his people will be quick to say that it was a Management Buy Out, but the question is, where did "management" find that money?)

Billions of that comes from the returns produced by shares formerly belonging to Lagos State in Eko Hotels, which he converted through several fronts between 1999 and 2006 in several shady transactions that brought him and the Chaghoury brothers together in Hitech Construction, a decidedly low-tech outfit of bricklayers.

More billions come from his appropriation of 50% of the investment of the WEMPCO Group in the Oriental Hotel business at "Admiralty Circle" Maroko.

Yet more seeps out of his illegal investment of loans obtained for the expansion of the Lekki-Epe Expressway by his ARM business in the construction of what is now the 4 Points by Sheraton Hotel, almost directly opposite the Oriental.

Still more billions come from his rapacious acquisition of land, the commonwealth of the people of Lagos, like the land which now accomodates his Royal Gardens Estate, a massive but failed real estate project at Ajah, or the land on which the even bigger Beechwood Estate, within which the rather shoddy Adeva Gardens estate sits.

Eko Akete estate, a sprawling 200 hectare "joint venture" between LSDPC and ASI Systems Ltd, has also been converted to his personal use, with him ceding it to his corrupt Lebanese friends and partners, the Chaghoury brothers. They're now building a horrible concrete jungle on it....on a profit share scheme with Yekini Amoda Ogunlere, aka Bola Ahmed Tinubu. If you ask officials of Fashola's government, they'll tell you that it's on the "Private Developers Scheme". Yeah, right!

There's much, much more, because "Bola Tinubu"'s rapaciousness needs to be witnessed to be believed, but I'll stop here for now. He will soon begin to eat his Iyan as just plain boiled yam!

Mai-suya:
Now this thread is not meant to exonerate the Fulanis of the crimes they commit but I can't help but notice a consistent effort to amplify crimes (sometimes alleged) by Fulanis.
Thus u see headlines like;

Fulani armed robbers arrested in ogun (Neva mind the fact that they might even be kanuris, gwaris etc)

Fulani heardsmen attack village (even though that particular conflict had been ongoing btw farmers and herdsmen, but a sensational 'fulani' twist is given to the story as if they appear out of thin air)

Hausa/Fulani attack Lagos (you would think only Hausa and Fulanis make up majority of northerners living in Lagos)

And a host of other stigmatising headlines. When armed robbers are caught who are from the south the caption would be "SUSPECTED armed robbers arraigned" or when berom youths attack muslims while praying on eid day, the best u get is "UNKNOWN armed men SUSPECTED TO be hoodlums attack Muslims"

What's the essence of this bias? And what are the motives ?

Let me see.....could it be because if the massacre of innocent youth corpers in predominantly Fulani areas after the 2011 elections in which Buhari, a prominent Fulani prince lost woefully Perhaps.

Could it be because of the long history of mass murder, rape, pillaging and bestiality by hordes of people positively identified, time and again by survivors of the carnage as Fulanis? Maybe.

Could it be because the Fulanis seem to think Nigeria and its peoples belong to them, and they can therefore trample any farm, destroy crops and mutilate human beings in the name of cattle rearing Could be.

I think it's mostly because the Fulanis do a fantastic job of painting themselves as a demon-possessed, bloodthirsty people, always looking for the next opportunity to commit genocide against their fellow human beings. Look at the recent happenings in Ketu.

We don't need the media in Lagos to tell us that their time here is up. Watch as we begin the cleansing of Fulanis from Lagos. Mark my words. By the end of this year, the only Fulanis in Lagos will be the dead ones in the mortuary or mass graves. They've had it coming for a long time now!!

You all seem to be fixated on the N91k for desserts and think that's the grand total.
I could be wrong o. But if I'm not, then I think N245k for dinner is too much in a country where 60% of its citizens find it difficult affording a N200 meal.
Also, for some reasons, you all seem to believe six people had dinner that day, that is an incorrect assumption. Four is a more likely number. (Notice the 4 Lobsters, 4 Salmon and 4 Creme Brulee?)

At these sort of hotels (frankly, I'd never expect the DG of a body of the SEC to go below this standard. I even consider it a bit low for that sort of office to be honest, but it's the best available, so, what gives?), this sort of bill is normal. In fact, it even seems relatively inexpensive, to be honest. A meal for a minimum of 6 people at one of Nigeria's top hotels came to just over 91k? That's a minor miracle! Leave this woman alone. The asphalt being laid there is less than 30mm in depth. That is not designed to last more than three months. I also see that the poster, in a foolish attempt to impress nairalanders, has made sure she captured the Lebanese partners of Bola Tinubu in the pictures. After all, they are the co-owners of Hitech, Palmyra, C and C, ITB and God knows how many other leprous companies they're using to execute their poor quality, grossly over-inflated conduit pipe projects.

Ileke-Idi, there is no need to lie. Show us the roads when they're completed. Those who have posted from the PDP states have shown us COUNTLESS completed road projects, not pictures of Lebanese quacks pretending to be road construction experts. Since when have we needed the Lebanese to construct good roads in this country sef? Or is it not road construction? Is it bomb-making, or carousing, or sharwama? Is that why Fayehun needs the Lebanese?

Abeg, carry these yeye smelly tings comot for here and take your lying ass governor on a retreat to the PDP state of Cross River, at the COMPLETED PDP Obudu Cattle Ranch Project, so that his eyes and the cobwebs in his head can clear.
Politics / Re: Fashola Hands Over Another One Million Gpd Waterworks In Iponri. Pics: by djustice: 12:31am On Feb 19, 2012
Just because people like Eko-Ile are brain-dead from snorting too much Fashola/Tinubu fecal matter, does not mean that we all are.

In the run-up to the 2011 general elections, Fashola "commissioned" two supposedly completed "waterworks" projects to much fanfare - at Ikorodu in Ikorodu Local Government, and Langbasa in Eti-Osa Local Government. I have visited both severally since then, and while the one at Ikorodu produces some water, it cannot be evacuated from the plant, because the hare-brained "action governor" and his fellow ACN zombies did not think of installing pipelines in Ikorodu metropolis to get the water to the people who need it. So, you have this absurd situation where PRIVATE water tankers are driving in to fill up and SELL the water to the residents of Ikorodu. In Langbasa, THERE IS NOT A DROP OF WATER BEING PRODUCED!!!

This is just another sham project being commissioned by this hammer-headed spineless Tinubu puppet. Mark my words: Within less than a year, there will be no potable water being produced at this giant water filter. These guys are utterly clueless braggarts, full of lies and lots of marketable prose. PDP is the best party ever to rule in Nigeria. Let them shout all they like. Go to Akwa Ibom or Cross River or Rivers, or Imo, or Jigawa, or Kwara states and talk trash about PDP in the market place, see whether you won't be lynched by the ordinary folk on the streets in those states.

Meanwhile, it was in Oyo state that Mrs. Remi Tinubu, Ashafa and Ojudu nearly lost their lives during the "fuel subsidy protest" funded by Bola Tinubu - presumably an ACN state. In Ekiti, it's even worse, and Ogun indigenes are now rueing the day they went mad momentarily and voted another Tinubu puppet into office. Demolitions and attacks on education are now the hallmarks of ACN, the party of illiteracy!!
