PoliticsRe: 2015: UPN Applies For Registration With INEC by djustice: 9:50pm On Apr 08, 2013
I suspect Obasanjo is part of this UPN move. If so, both PDP and ACN/APCN are toast in 2015. The whole of the South West, most of Edo/Delta, most of the North Central, some of the North West and due to the Obasanjo factor, some of the South South will follow this party.

ACN will scatter immediately, with the real Awoists pulling out from under Thief-nubu's dictatorship. He'll be left with just a few loyalists. If Obasanjo joins, most likely, Ibikunle Amosun will decamp into this party. Gbenga Daniel will be re-united with Obasanjo, because of Mama HID Awolowo and the REAL Afenifere - Ayo Adebanjo, Falae and co.

In Lagos, vast numbers of PDP members will leave, and I suspect even Bode George will decamp because he never got a Presidential Pardon, although I don't know if a party in which Obasanjo is playing a key role will accept him easily. A lot of ACN members will also jump ship from Tinubu's party, and he will most certainly not be welcome in that party because of his altercation with Mama.

Tinubu and Jonathan, both allies, are finished.

PoliticsRe: Policemen Claim NSCDC Officials Provoked Them Into KIlling by djustice: 10:08pm On Mar 28, 2013
unamid: It a pity that many people of this forum are critized the police PRO for her comment on this matter. The woman explained how the incident happened but due to the hatred we have for the police people did not believe her. I was expecting intelligent people who had comment on this matter to ask some questions from NSCDC spoke man and police PRO inorder to know the truth of matter but they didn't but instead of that we just concluded in our heart that police was at fauit. The NSCDC mentioned that they loss two of their personel in the encounter,if it is true? He should have mention their names for us and also their corpses to the media. If we look at this story NSCDC spoke man did not tell us what really happened. They have the opportunity of taking picture of police inspector I.D.card,walkie talkie and his pistol but they can not show us the corpse of their member even their. In this matter i don't believe police pro lied. Police pro mentioned DC security of PPMC,mr Mosimi that he is the one who called police why alleging police again,i think this man we stand as a witness for police. On the aspect of the suspects that the NSCDC said they police for their rescue after arresting them, the story look some how. No security in naija will arrest suspect without searching him or her not to talk of trained security personel. i don't agreed with them on that. If suspects are with them why they did not search them and collect their phones. Another question i will like the NSCDC man to clear is that did your commandant at the scene of the crime gave order to disarm, arrest, handcuff and leg chain the police inspector and his men because they are few. NSCDC should provid more evidence to nail the police instead of alleging them.
I know you're a policeman, and this sorry post is exactly why the NPF is the most hated security agency in the country. You're a compound fool. eeediooootttt!!

Car TalkRe: Governor Akpabio Buys Bullet-Proof Mercedes-Benz Vans - PICTURES by djustice: 2:09pm On Mar 13, 2013
Obviously, this is a thinking Governor. Observe how this is actually a BUS, unlike the bullet-proof SUV (Range Rover) that Fashola bought for himself and Tinubu last year. I remember Fashola's publicity stunt at the Lekki Prison Gate, paying tolls by leaning out of his self-driven Range Rover. That was one of 4 cars he bought for himself and Tinubu.

Akpabio has worked, and he should enjoy the perks of office. At least, it's not a personal car. It's an official bus, meaning he wants to protect other government functionaries apart from just himself. In Lagos, dem no send. The range rovers are for the houseboyish governor and his master at Bourdillon.
PoliticsRe: Traders Accuse Govt. Of Burning Ketu Market by djustice: 12:12am On Mar 10, 2013
The traders are right. These ACN people are pure evil incarnate. All that always seems to be on their minds is how to get more and more of public property into their pockets. Tejuosho, Makoko, Gbaja, and many others, now this?

It's way too much to be coincidence now. Those who say it's a coincidence are stupid beyond redemption, or they want us to be stupid beyond redempion. Perhaps that's why they keep raising cost of education all over their states, and keep closing down educational institutions. I digress.

PoliticsRe: Fashola Blames Okada For Damoche’s Murder by djustice: 1:42am On Mar 04, 2013
Omo_Tier1: This statement goes to show Fashola's sophistication in governance. Here in the UK and even in the US, you often see and hear politicians use an incident to promote a government piece of legislation and to drive home their message why it is highly needed. And it helps keep the issues at the fore front and people continue to discuss it and expose themselves towhat the legislation is all about. It has achieved success for most of these politicians down here and no doubt this is exactly what Fashola was trying to do.

His message about community policing by the citizen is very important. A situation where some particular people will go to the village and bring 15 people back with them to lagos to come squat in the name of doing business, hustling etc and after a few days you can't find them anymore. Yet people are wondering why crime in Lagos is suddenly on the increase. Those that live in that neighbourhood should rightly inform the police and security agencies so they keep an eye on such peeps.

This was how people from Akwa-Ibom invaded the GRA in Benin with their brothers and sisters all in the name of squatting and doing Okada business during the day and the once very peaceful GRA with its lovely greens became a zone of constant robbery!
Amazing! You have got to be the most cretinious fool I've ever had the misfortune to read from on this forum. What is all this opaks you're yarning in the name of defending the indefensible? Sophistication? Is that what governance is now about? No wonder they say the idiot is an elitist governor. He's obviously taking lots of bad advice from speed-addled cretins like you. Oloshi buruku.

A young man has died, murdered by suspected cultists, and instead of using the opportunity to address the issue of cultism in an institution where he himself recently increased fees astronomically without a corresponding improvement in, for instance, security, he's busy talking about okada. Wait sef, is it possible Fashola ordered the hit on this guy and is slyly trying to deflect attention from his assassins? Or is he himself a senior member of a cult?

The OP is a jobless maggot who's obviously never been to BOTH Lagos and Akwa Ibom to make a comparison. Fashola is the one, according to testimonies of respected media practitioners in this country, who pays crazy amounts of money for positive media coverage, in the face of the ruin him and his thieving godfather have subjected Lagos and Lagosians to. Everyone already knows that Akpabio earns less than half the N70b plus that Fashola gets in Lagos, yet, he's managed to do more than twice the work, at fantastic quality standards too!

Your maggot eaten brain cannot understand, of course, why it's next to impossible for the two highest offices in the land to go to people from the same geo-political zone, abi? Mumu of the highest order like you! Comedian oshi!

0lumide: I will ask you why states like Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Delta, Bayelsa that get more funds per head ain't doing half as good as Lagos...

You can not compare Lagos with a state that is like 2 or 3 million. Lagos IGR per head is low because of the population.

What about Rivers? A state with more allocation per citizen compared to Lagos.

You people should question Akwa Ibom's governor. That niigga ain't doing shiit compared to the population of his state. Even at that, Akwa Ibom is still performing poorly. He is nothing but another hype just like Amaechi. I pity people who think some freaking movable library bullshit in a state getting twice what Edo is getting yet isn't performing as much as Edo State is enough for them to comapare Fashola's performance with that of a freaking hype.

Even Oshiomole will not say he is performing more than Fashola going by state allocation per citizen in Edo state. Why are you guys fixated on Lagos? Lagosians love him, he is doing well. How many states in Nigeria has rehabilitation centers for loons, beggars, and druggies? I'm not talking about psychiatric hospitals, I'm talking full rehabs. Non of your so called performers in east, South or North has that. Abeg...

Bilms, when you want to compare Lagos with any state, the most important parameter is allocation per head. not some IGR or FG allocation. Don't be a dunce. Lagos is doing amazingly good if you take note of allocation per head in Lagos. Don't be a dumbo and use the FOI right well well. And I'm not a Fashola supporter, I don't even live in Lagos presently. But every time I go back home, something about Lagos is always changed positively and I love that..
That you included the bolded shows that you are either an irretrievable dunce or a paid laptop operator. Obviously, you have NEVER being to Akwa Ibom State. Akwa Ibom is twice the size of Lagos in terms of land mass, gets less than half the total revenue of Lagos, and yet manages to have far more roads per square km than a much more celebrated Lagos State. While Fashola and Tinubu are busy tolling all the roads in Lagos, starting with the obnoxious Lekki tolls, Akpabio has jettisoned the man who wanted to be his godfather and is instead working for his people by building roads EVERYWHERE, using only the best contractor in the country - Julius Berger, for every single road in his state.

While Fashola and Tinubu have been busy jabbering on about how they will "soon" build an airport in Lekki, Akpabio built Uyo Airport from NOTHING, and within 2 years of his taking over, the domestic wing of the airport was operational. The international wing will be ready this year, and in terms of aviation services, it's one of only two airports in the whole of Africa where "C" checks can be done on commercial jets. The other one is Cairo International Airport in Egypt.

While Fashola continues to lie through his teeth about providing free education in schools without even common toilet facilities, Akpabio has build solid schools all over his state, where ALL pupils attend free, get free books, free lunch and free books. The parents even get paid N300 per child per day for sending their children to school!!!! This can be verified from anyone in Akwa Ibom, as it's not restricted to indigenes. Health care is free and quite good too.

Fashola was dumbstruck when he went there last, and he, who usually likes the sound of his own voice, could not say a word as he walked into the world-class underground storm drainage built by Akpabio.

Fashola kehuh Ee le fi iku we orun o! Atari ajanaku kii se eru omode!

Fashola cannot even see Akpabio's brake lights. The man turned the corner 3 years ago, when Fashola was busy celebrating his expensive but useless flowers!
PoliticsRe: Shehu Sani Will Support Fashola As APC Presidential Candidate by djustice: 10:54pm On Feb 17, 2013
kaysy: The President of Civil Rights Congress of Nigeria and a senatorial aspirant of CPC, Kaduna Central Senatorial District , Mallam Shehu Sani has said that if the governor of Lagos state, Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN) emerges as the presidential candidate of the newly formed party , All Progressive Congress (APC), he would receive his backing.

Sani told Sunday Mirror that what mattered to him was that whoever emerges as the presidential flagbearer of the party should be the best candidate and if Fashola emerges as the best candidate backed by the entire party, there would be no opposition from the North.

“If the PDP is presenting a candidate and APC is presenting a candidate, Nigerians will definitely go for the best candidate; but whoever is going to represent the APC must have proved himself over the years.

He should be incorruptible, should have a vision for Nigeria and should be someone that is widely acceptable to all and should not be seen as representing any ethnic group or religious background and should be someone who places national interest above his personal ambition. So if Fashola is the popular choice of the party, we are certainly going to back him,” he maintained.

He added: “Well, as a potential member of the APC, if the party finally decides on that, I will support whoever emerges as the party’s choice. We need someone that is ideologically, fundamentally and characteristically different from what the PDP is presenting”.

Sani cautioned that Buhari and Tinubu should be ready to play key roles that would make the APC victory in the coming polls. “Well, what we should understand is that, this merger is not all about Buhari and Tinubu factor and if it is about Buhari and Tinubu, then, it is going to fail.

The merger should be seen to be a consensus of ideas, vision and hopes that can be found in one aim, which is to rescue Nigeria and bring Nigeria forward.

Buhari and Tinubu should be ready to play any role to which they need to play for the supporters of the party and Nigeria as a whole.”

Speaking on the development, the National Publicity Secretary of the CPC, Engineer Rotimi Fashakin said the Fashola option for the Presidency is largely speculative and lacks any basis, saying “ we have not got to that bridge at all. Where they are getting all these kinds of speculations is funny’.

“They are speculating to create a wedge against the coalition. We have not even informed INEC about the new party. I don’t know where they are getting such speculation from but they will not succeed in creating a wedge in the merger”, he said.

The Special Assistant on Media to Governor Fashola, Mr Hakeem Bello, said the issue of who should become a presidential candidate to the new APC is not a Lagos State Government matter and so, he could not comment on it.

“It is not a Lagos State Government matter but I know it is speculation. The party is just evolving. It is about politics and so I am not in a position to comment on politics”, Bello said.

Meanwhile,Governor Ibrahim Gaidam of Yobe State has said that the recent merger in which the APC was born is the best option to wrest power from the opposition PDP, which has been in power for 14 years but “leaves the country to decay and anarchy.”

Gaidam stated this yesterday in Damaturu, the state capital, at a meeting with ANPP stakeholders and supporters to endorse the decision of the merger by governors of the 10 states controlled by the opposition parties after their meetings in Lagos, and later on Monday last week in Abuja to re-affirm their support for the initiative.

Represented by his Deputy, Engineer Abubakar, Aliyu said, “the meeting is crucial, as it will offer all members of the ruling party and it is an avenue to discuss issues related to the merger, come together with full support and cooperation on how to move the new party APC to a greater height.

He said the merger is a welcome development in rescuing Nigeria from decay, and therefore, urged all All Nigerian Peoples Party (ANPP) stakeholders and supporters to give their overwhelming cooperation in the ongoing merger for the wellbeing of the state and the country at large.

Also, the Chairman of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in Imo State, Chief Charles Ubah, has commended the state governor, Rochas Okorocha, over his decision to join other progressives “in their quest to rescue the nation from the stranglehold of the ruling PDP.”

Ubah described the governor as a patriotic Nigerian who is committed to the success of Nigeria’s democracy and good governance, assuring the Governor and members of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), of the willingness of the party to work harmoniously with everyone under the new PDP.
Shehu Sani is an ignorant, uninformed attention seeking jester. No Lagosian will vote for APC if they adopt Fashola the Fascist, even as their VP.

Doctors and all people in the medical professions and their dependants will vote against them, based on his shabby treatment of them, his mass sack of doctors and his refusal to pay them CONMESS salary scale as agreed with them, not once, but twice!!

One million okada riders will vote against them, due to the way he deceived them by giving them free vests and helmets before the elections, and using them for his campaigns, only to turn round and start attacking them, after he had achieved victory against the lacklustre Dosun-mumu that PDP presented, shamelessly displaying their dismantled okadas to the world and bragging that he had destroyed 3,000 of them. Given that one okada feeds at least 6 Lagosians, APC, ACN or whatever party Fashola and Tinubu are bringing in 2015 will smell pepper at the elections in Lagos.

Tinubu will lose Lagos to PDP in 2015. Mark my words. He and Fashola will also go to jail.

PoliticsRe: Lagos Sacks 35 Officials For Certificate Forgery by djustice: 8:12pm On Feb 14, 2013
Clerverly: LAGOS—LAGOS State Government has sacked 35 of its civil servants, including senior executive officers, for securing employment into the State Civil Service with forged certificates, even as the appointments of 13 others were terminated for absenteeism.

Other offences of the sacked workers included misappropriation of funds, diversion of government money for personal use, defrauding the public, loss of government’s vehicles and absence from duty without permission.

It will be recalled that last year, the state government dismissed 174 officers of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA, for corruption, overzealousness and others.

Vanguard gathered that those sacked were on grade level 07 to 12.

They include senior traffic officers, traffic superintendents, higher traffic superintendent, traffic officers II, higher statistics officer, senior accountant, senior executive officer, among others.

Most of the affected workers were discovered to have gained employment into the civil service with forged certificates during certificate verification carried out by the government.

The list of the sacked public officers was contained in a journal published by the state government.

It was also gathered that the affected staff had since been issued sacked letters before their names were published by the Office of the Head of Service in the publication.

It was gathered that the affected public servants were made to face the Personnel Management Board, PMB, the disciplinary body of the state government, which recommended their immediate sack.

Head of Service, Adesegun Ogunlewe, had earlier warned that the government would not tolerate acts of indiscipline and corruption among civil servants as government was bent on repositioning the civil service to meet up with the standard befitting of a mega city like Lagos.

Meanwhile, the Lagos State House of Assembly, has directed Commissioner for Establishments, Training and Pensions, Mrs. Florence Oguntuase, to Implement the house resolution on the payment of salary arrears of the 24 Lagos veterinary doctors from 2003 to 2010.

The house gave the directive following earlier summon and appearance of Oguntuase on the floor of the House to make clarification over the resolution of the House on the salary arrears.

Let them stop Bola Ahmed Tinubu's pension first, for the same offence, and I'll believe them, since he's the chief certificate forger. He claimed tomhave attended Government College Ibadan. He did not. He claimed to have attended St. John's Primary School, Aroloya, Lagos. No such school has ever existed. There is a St. Paul's School, Aroloya, which if he had attended, he would surely know the name. Lastly, for someone who demonstrates such intelligence when it comes to land racketeering, enslavement of the people, corruption of the police and judiciary, and election rigging on a grand scale, it's really odd how he forgot that he never attended the University of Chicago. Please, for us Lagosians to take these greedy freeloaders led by a fat-faced kleptomaniac seriously, they must expunge Tinubu's tenure from the record and strip him of his armed-robber pension.

lekanolas: Nigeria’s former High Commissioner to Ghana, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, yesterday denied sponsoring governorship campaign posters, which flooded parts of Lagos State at the weekend.

Obanikoro described as cheap and miscalculated the fake campaign posters purportedly presenting him as gunning for the governorship of the state in 2015.

The former ambassador said the motive behind the move had failed ab initio because, apart from the fact that the strategy was oldfashioned, the timing was ill-advised and the intention stymied.

Obanikoro said the move was intended to achieve either of two things: to present him as desperate or a politician of uncompromising tendencies and therefore concluded that both intentions had failed because they could neither push him out in the ring nor stifle him. He said: “Honestly, this has not come to me as a surprise because I understand the terrain in which I operate.

But I would have thought that even if those who relish in destructive politics still admire the trade, they could have at least, gone a notch up in their game.

This is cheap, ill-timed and a miscalculation. “I know where this is coming from, but it is good for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, because it shows clearly that the opposition is jittery already and when the time comes, our party which is bigger and better now will put them in their place. “If all this has set out to do is cause disaffection among us, too bad because it failed even before it was recognised as mischief.

“Interestingly, the same approach was used against the President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan and it failed because it was false. Even a member of the opposition party, Hon. Opeyemi Bamidele, recently had a whiff of his party’s bad politics.

http://nationalmirroronline.net/new/my-fake-campaign-posters-oppositions-handiwork-obanikoro/
Who is this fool fooling? He posted the posters himself, now he's accusing the ruling party of doing it. ACN would actually prefer PDP to use Onikoro/Obanikoro as their gubernatorial candidate, with the arson committed during his term as Lagos Island Council Chairman, and all the recent financial malfeasance charges against him. He'll be too busy defending himself against their allegations and was not intelligent enough against the inexperienced Fashola the last time he contested. He should go and sit down.

Paentera: One thing - the loans for LASG are development loans payable over a thirty (30) year period and at a rate of 1%. If he didn't do that borrowing today to uplift the infrastructure of the state, one day you'll turn around to blame him for not taking the opportunity when it was available. Stop being alarmist with half told stories.
Your lies will eventually lead you to complete ruin and utter desolation, which will permeate whatever miserable generations you leave behind. Is it Fashola that told you that he's only borrowing at 1%? The bonds alone have a guaranteed return of 13% per annum to those that buy them. May you go insane and lose your cognitive abilities altogether for this sick lie you came to tell on behalf of your paymasters. May misery and lack be your constant companions till you crawl back into the hole you came from. Oloshious fellow.

PoliticsPDP Leaders Are Judicially Naive. First Bode George, Now Oyinlola by djustice(op): 1:41am On Jan 14, 2013
Some of these PDP people are so silly. Oyinlola should have asked Kafarati to recuse himself from this case, considering his decision in a previous suit involving the restoration of inJustice Isa Ayo Salami, Oyinlola's arch-enemy and nemesis. This same rubbish happened to Bode George, when he stupidly allowed himself to be tried by a Lagos State court for and offence allegedly committed in a Federal institution and on Federal Jurisdiction (NPA is located in littoral land).

Legal/judicial idiocy seems to be in the genetic make-up of some of these PDP leaders. Do they really deserve to continue to lead, given their obvious timidity and lack of insight? The judge that jailed Bode George unjustly, Justice Oyewole, was almost installed by the Asiwaju Criminal Network as the chief judge of Osun State, as his reward for jailing the hapless Bode George and was only stopped by the NJC.

Read news reports about the Kafarati/Salami nexus in the links below, where Oyinlola's suit against Salami's reinstatement was dismissed by the same Kafarati!!
