bigomoh: When will we grow some cojones and tell Ahmed Musa he has passed his sell by date? How can you drop a prospect like Ejuke and leave Musa?
Please miss me with that 'Skippo' or 'experience' yarns. We all saw how underwhelming his performance was at the Nations Cup. There's no reason why Awoniyi who's doing well in the Bundesliga and the likes should be dropped. Na here we go kuku dey when we start another round of lamentations. So its Ejuke's performance that was fantastic at the AFCON? |

lovewins: There's a bigger issue here, it's the COVID corruption. Sadly many are getting rich under the guise of COVID and that's what is at the centre of the matter. The problem wasn't the test as the girls were COVID tested less than 24 hours before their arrival. The officials of the NCDC were apparently asking to be paid for another test (even of the test isn't carried out).
Collin Udoh also share similar experience weeks ago. He was forced to pay for a test he didn't need cause the NCDC requested it. Sadly he had to visit another African nation before the scheduled day for his test and asked for the test to be moved till his return back to the country so he doesn't have to pay again. They refused. Point is, some persons are getting rich and Nigerians sadly are the victim Oh I get the one you're referring to now, its the test after arrival they make you pay for a Day 2 and Day 6 (if not fully vaccinated) after arrival, I had the same experience late last year but as a naija guy I sha didnt pay shishi when I know I'm fully vaccinated. Still I'm sure the NFF was aware of this, they should have gotten a waiver ahead if they knew they didnt want to pay for that, you cant embarrass your players this way. |

lovewins: Such a sad sight to watch. Qualifying your nation for the AWCON and immediately held hostage for over 4 hours upon arrival to your own country.
Ordega's Instagram story was such a sad sight. The men's team wouldn't have been treated that way. I blame the NFF, a call to the Minister should have resolved it, because they could have asked them to quarantine at worst and then take the test the following day rather than lock them up at the airport. |

yinkeys: Lol really So defenders usually show that much skills on the pitch Go to countries in Eastern Europe like Czech Republic or Krygistan as a black person You might be overwhelmed by how many of them haven’t seen a black person in real life. I may be wrong in all of this but can’t they at least chant her name instead. You only know her name cause you're a dedicated fan, you cant expect a casual fan to know a player who just made her debut last week. With time it'll change ekong and Balogun were called oyibo by fans for the longest time which got them the nickname oyibo wall. So long as its not malicious and she enjoyed it the last match. |

yinkeys: Plumptre don suffer sha. The unnecessary oyinbo chants would be overwhelming if she’s not a people person Somewhat annoying There's nothing overwhelming there, when fans used to shout 'Iwobi!' in the stadium a few years ago, its just that they dont know her name. Its their way of showing love, and she understands that, she was dancing the last time as they were chanting. |

charlesemeka85: Gernot Rohr was surprised to hear that his former pupil Valentine Ozornwafor lost consciousness twice on the pitch during RSC Charleroi's 3-0 defeat to Royale Union Saint Gilloise on Saturday night.
The former Nigeria coach has promised to get in touch with Ozornwafor to express his sympathy after the unfortunate incident that saw the central defender stretchered off just before the end of the first half.
Rohr has close ties with Ozornwafor's agency, DW Sports Management and handed him a call-up for a friendly against Egypt in March 2019.
The former Enyimba star made his senior debut off the bench against Cameroon on June 4, 2021 and four days later, was one of the standout players in a goalless draw with the Indomitable Lions.
"I'm going to hear from him directly. It's unfortunate. Valentine is an adorable boy. He is a man of integrity with undeniable human qualities," Rohr told Belgian newspaper L'Avenir. Ozornwafor's last squad involvement for the Super Eagles was in their 2022 World Cup qualifier against Cape Verde five months ago. Wait...is Rohr still in Nigeria this one he has time to be commenting on any and every issue concerning Nigeria. |

lovewins: Couldn't have put it better. While we have to leverage on long balls in the return leg, the coach needs to work on the midfield. Like you rightly affirmed, we were outplayed by the Ivorians with our midfield totally absent. You can't say we were outplayed in the midfield when the Ivoriens didnt play through the midfield and were just lobbing long balls, then there was the ref that blew at any attempt by our players to actually play the ball through the midfield. |

JohnBullMySon: I don't support mediocrity but after someone mentioned on Instagram that it wasn't his fault, with acknowledgements of others, I had to go take a second look. I re watched the replay from all broadcasted angles at 0.25X
The ball was heading to the center right when it suddenly drifted to the left after getting past Ekong. Maduka tried to return, he almost did but too late. he could not hold it down enough. Some keepers might have been sold off completely.
First three pics show how the Tunisian kicked the ball and where it was headed. In pic 4, the ball had swerved to the left E good to fine o ...I didnt see anyone bringing up slow mo images to defend Akpeyi for an even more difficult save that made him lose his place in the team. Na all this defense and counter defense no go allow the guy grow, he keeps making blunders and we keep creating excuses for him. |

TheGoodJoe: I felt for Iwobi because he came in with so much drive and energy. His presence would have given us the edge we needed. Unfortunately, we can not rewind time.
What was wrong with the ref when he obstructed our ball and waved play on? That was too shocking.
Well proud of the whole team. They gave their all and that is what we could ask for. I was surprised too, for a basic referee task that doesnt require any form of interpretation. Omeruo just use annoyance, pulled the Tunisian player to the ground just to stop play. |
